TurboTax review: TurboTax program 2023

I used this software to prepare my 2023 Tax Return. I remembered I had chosen TurboTax Premium $89 I started fill out 3 forms 1099-R and one form with no dividend just loss from previous year. After I was done I saw the price jumped to $129, $40 more added to $89. Because I almost done the return I said to myself just go ahead and paid them that $40. Then I finished the CA state form. When I prepared to file I saw $ 40 more for state e-file. To this end I saw total cost was $169. I was very angry and unsatisfied with this ripped-off way of doing business but I resigned to agree with that. Later days I have time to read e-mail and found they charged me TurboTax Live Assisted Premium $209 and $65 for state e-file, total $273! ? This was not announced in advance before I filed the papers. I wrote to them once requesting to refund the riff-off part of $104. They refused on reason that doing online was not covered by "satisfaction guaranteed policy '. What the heck with them? My forms were very simple. I didn't ask for live assist, why they charged me? Why $40 state e-file became $ 65. Why they didn't announce IN ADVANCE the final cost? I sent them request they said once I filed it means I accepted the price and they refused to refund the extra. After that mail, there is no way to contact them. Their e-mail address said " address not found " or site not found and computer-generated and no-reply. If they read my complaint today I request they proved that they did announce the price in advance and I knew that. They can't say after filing means they don't care. The public knowing my case must be careful about using their program. For me I will not buy their product and my family members and friends of so many people were noticed about my case. And this dishonest way of selling program by TurboTax must publish on website to caution would-be user.
