Never again
Worst customer service of any company I have ever dealt with. They charged my brother in law's credit card instead of mine. (His was used to "hold" the pod and I was assured that it would not be charged.) It has been 3 weeks and 5 phone calls later and the credit has still not been given! I ask to speak to a manager and they simply put me on hold. When they come back on they give me a reference # and tell me the charge will be reversed in 3-5 business days. I have never been so frustrated with in my life.
Recommendation: Use any other company for storage. Not this one!!

Moving and storage
I contacted PODS to move my belongings from NY to Charlotte, in August and September last year. One of my containers was delivered, and the second one was scheduled for September 16th without any prior notice, I just received a call from the driver in the very morning of the delivery with a 20 minutes window to meet the driver at my storage area...

Good morning,
My name is Linda Walker, and I am a current PODS customer. I am very disappointed with all the misinformation that I received regarding storage fees and shipment of the container.
PODS withdrew 408.00 for storage on 11/26 and today the charge for shipment was withdrawn 3915.00. I was originally told that the first month of storage was free. This is not true. I was also told that I would receive the shipment within 7 days of payment which is also not true. I do not have access to the container until 12/15. This is extremely poor service and honestly if the withdrawal wouldn't have been taken out of my account, I was going to hire long distance movers to bring the items to Denver. I really needed my furniture prior to 12/15 but I am now at the mercy of this horrible service. I would ask someone please see if there is any way to expedite the shipment so that I can pick up the items within the next 7 days.
Thank you for your consideration.
Desired outcome: access to container prior to 12/15

Once my pod was dropped if I spoke to an agent on the phone and explained the pod needed to be picked up within a day or two after it was dropped off because I live in a high-rise building, and it cannot sit in the loading dock for more than a couple of days. She said she would relay this to them driver. I asked if she could give me a timeframe for the...

On Tuesday 31 October 2023 approx 12:15pm, and again on Friday 3 November 2023 approx 2:15pm, I purchased a pack of Vapo Haiz menthol ice 3mg from BP Stortford Lodge Hastings HB. On each occasion, 1 pod of the 2 has produced no vapour. I suggest there may be a glitch in the batch sent to this location. I have purchased these same pods for several years from this same location and have never come across this situation before. i would like a replacement pack please.
PODs move that didn't happen
It all started out when I wanted to get a quote for a potential move. Due to miscommunication with PODs customer service I ended up creating an actual order AND I also created a quote request although I didn't realize that at the time. Shortly thereafter, I received several emails reminding me to log in to accept my quote before it expires. I didn't want to...

Greetings, I must begin by sharing an exasperating experience I recently encountered with Pods. My objective was to have my two 16-foot containers extracted so that I could transfer the contents from one container to the other, subsequently returning the empty one. However, the ordeal that followed was quite remarkable. Initially, Pods informed me that...

Maria Knotts ordered a 16 foot container for a criss country move. They delivered an 8ft container instead and when she called to report the error they said she would have to wait 7-10 days for the correct container. She could not wait because she had to be out of her house. She had to give away half of her furniture and rent an SUV to move and PODs still...

I have had my POD at my residence for over a year to use for storage while my home is under construction. They came out and moved it one time, everything was fine. I ordered my POD to be delivered to my house in Orlando for June 16, 2023. It was delivered.
I was told that it could be picked up from the Orlando house and delivered to my new house in St. Petersburg or it could go to storage. It was all part of the cost. I said that was great because I was not sure exactly when I would be getting the keys to the new house.
In early July, I contacted PODS numerous times every day trying to schedule my POD to get picked up from my Orlando house to get dropped off in St. Petersburg. I called multiple times each day. I texted the number they provide. I would wait on hold. I'd talk to someone and get hung up on. I could not get anywhere. Eventually, I was able to schedule a pickup for my pod to be delivered to St. Petersburg.
However, instead of taking it to St. Petersburg, they brought my POD to Orlando storage.
I called MULTIPLE times and wrote MULTIPLE emails inquiring why that was happening. No one could answer me. The representatives just said it had to go to Orlando Storage. After another week of trying to contact PODS, they were finally able to schedule the container to St. Pete, but then again, they didn't do that. Instead - they sent it to storage here. I told them PLEASE drop it off at my new house. I don't have any of my things.
After many delays - it was finally scheduled multiple weeks late. BUT now that it is in my driveway, the PODS door is jammed shut. It won't open. The PODS representative tried to break it open with tools, which did not work. The PODS representative, then put the PODS onto the Podzilla and lifted (by machine) my POD up on a 90-degree angle and shook it back and forth because he thought something may have been stuck in the door. HE SHOULD MY POD UP IN THE AIR ON A 90 DEGREE ANGLE BACK AND FORTH VIOLENTLY and I can only imagine all my memories, belongings, and furniture just broken. inside.
THEN - he told me there is nothing more he can do. That I would have to call customer service, AGAIN, to schedule the POD to come pick up the POD at my house, bring it to the main center, then rip off the front door. BUT I will need to bring my own moving truck or uhaul to meet them at the warehouse, then unpack the POD into a uhaul and drive back to my own house.
That is insane. This is insane. I still don't have my belongings.
Desired outcome: Desired Outcome: reimbursed for payment; the POD opened at my property, reimbursement for damaged goods inside.
Lost pod and delivery to my home!
Hello,
My name is Deborah D'Domenicus and I moved the end of April from Maryland to South Carolina. Please note:
1) Originally I was going to have the pod picked up and stored because my furniture was going to be loaded onto a larger moving van.
2) However, THREE DAYS BEFORE PICK-UP AND TWO PHONE CALLS, I called to change the pick-up to a PICK-UP AND DELIVERY TO SC. The person on the overseas call center didn't speak good english and..
3) My FULL POD OF FURNITURE was picked up and stored on an empty lot. They lost my POD for 9 days and after finally finding the POD they scheduled it for delivery to Augusta, GA which took another 2 WEEKS! UNHEARD OF!
4) i HAVE CALLED 5 XS and talked to numerous people and they (CHOSE TO PULL THE FIRST PHONE CALL PLACED QUITE A WHILE AGO, AND NOT THE RECENT 2 PHONE CALLS CHANGING TO DELIVERY). they cancelled my complaint 2X's with NO CALL BACKS and they are covering their butts over in India! They chose the call that gets them off the hook, but not one of my recent calls requesting the POD to be PICK-UP AND DELIVERY. I am requesting the following: $1,81970 + 61.50 (?) + $279.95 = $1,961.15 refunded back to my card. I am a GOVT worker and went with POD because I thought you were a good American business. Your overseas Call Center may be good for YOUR business, but not for your customers. My name is Deborah D'Domenicus | [protected] | [protected]@verizon.net
Desired outcome: Refund of $1,96.15 mistake Overseas Call Ctr They did NOT use the 2 most recent calls to verify my case but chose an older call to cover their butts. 5 calls and 2 x's my case was closed with NO call backs from you

I ordered a pod and was told i was getting a super deal for being a member of usaa and aarp. a friend asked what i pay for it and was shocked at how much id been overpaying, they pay significantly less monthly and im supposed to have veteran pricing? then they sent me an email advertised 30% discounts for everyone . i was curious so i did an online quote without my supposed discounts and it was literally half of what they have been charging me. i contacted them to tell them i e been being overcharged and i want the monthly price they just quoted me..they said no
Desired outcome: i want credit for the amt they have been overcharging me
Failure to Dispatch POD as requested
I requested our second POD to be delivered to our new home in Round Rock Texas by online Chat. They told me it would arrive on the 20th of this month. After checking online I found it had been scheduled to leave until the 17th and would have a 10 day transit! I took a week off of work and spent time at my new home waiting for the POD! When I called they said they had no record!
Desired outcome: Please respond. Expect some adjustment in pricing. Speed up the delivery. Insure this does not happen to others. Compensate me for the loss of my time and my wife's time in waiting for this delivery!
pods delivery
Called to schedule my Pods delivery. First they couldn’t find my Pods. Then they told me they were never sent to Texas. So instead of it taking a few days it will take TWO WEEKS. None of my Pods links work for me to even see my agreement. I was told they would listened to our original call & recalculate my delivery at rates back in December. I have now waited 13 days, made multiple phone calls 30 mins to an hour each. I keep being told I will be called by Sherry Booth. I was told I was sent emails and I was called twice but they got my vm. I never received either emails or messages. I was then told they had the wrong email address, and address I have never heard of. 13 BUSINESS DAYS later..I’m still waiting. Sleeping on an air mattress. No kitchen utensils. Had to buy a cheap desk to work. Had to buy bedding, etc. I don’t understand why this person won’t call me back. I want to get the adjusted total (reasonable),pay it and get my stuff on the road. I was told today it was being escalated but I would not received a call until next TUESDAY. I’m frustrated beyond belief. I want my stuff! About ready to file a claim with my insurance company that my stuff is lost. Or call an attorney. It will be 10 days to transfer the stuff here once they figure their stuff out. Unbelievable! It will be over a month! I want an apology,my shipment to be recalculated as promised,my stuff on the road,to make sure I am not charged another storage fee on 4/28 for any days in May while my stuff is in transit and I want compensation for this nightmare..a months storage for April refunded to help cover the costs of my expenses and inconvenience and dealing with this unprofessionalism and STRESS.
Desired outcome: See above.
Pods sales rep errors lead to extra expense
At the original Point of Sale call I discussed the number and size of PODS containers needed for my move. Based on the guidance provided by PODS associate, I reserved one 16ft and one 12ft container. Two weeks prior to the move I called PODS again to discuss my uncertainty about having enough container space. A PODS representative asked me for details about size of home, number of rooms, number of boxes, etc. and told me that to be safe I should get two 16ft containers and reassured me this would be more than adequate to handle my move. I questioned reserving a 3rd container but again was reassured the two 16ft containers would be sufficient. Based on this guidance I changed the order replacing the 12 ft. container with a second 16ft container. This was bad advice as the moving crew was unable to fit all my stuff into the containers which required me to immediately make other plans to load, transport and store my remaining items. The last minute moving expenses necessitated by fact that PODS associated gave me bad guidance and resulting in not having adequate capacity to contain all household goods and thus I had to scramble to:
1. Get another moving crew (245.95) + $100 cash tip
2. Rent 15ft Uhaul moving truck ($183.29)
3. Purchase moving supplies ($5.44)
4. Purchase gas to refill Uhaul moving truck ($20.20)
5. Monthly rent for Uhaul storage unit ($219,95x2), required door lock for unit ($10.92)
6. Moving truck rental ($60.49).
I cleared out this storage unit in September, moving my belongings to a
family storage facility which eliminated the continuing rental
expense. However, this required me to:
1. Rent a 20ft Uhaul Truck ($279.62)
2. Hire a moving company to load the truck ($240 labor + $90 cash tip
3. Purchase gas to refill Uhaul Truck ($49.58 + $10.92)
4. I had to take a day off work (equates to $673)
4. Mileage for personal vehicle my wife had to drive in order to bring me back
$0.625 cents per mile 129 miles=$81.00
I will not include details of separate error wherein PODS sales agent confirmed redelivery to a requested ZIP code. However, when I called to request the containers be redelivered after being stored in PODS warehouse for 5 months, I was informed they were unable to deliver to that city and my only option was to hire separate delivery company to unload the containers and transport to final destination. After 2.5 months of seeking a resolution to extra cost I had to incur as a result of PODS error, PODS did agree to reimburse my storage fees.
Desired outcome: Reimburse itemized expenses totaling $2,489.36
Received water damage to the contents of my pod stored for 13 years
My name is Stephen Clark ID 1966296. I worked with you insurance company filling out all required forms. My insurance contact was very nice and informative. I sent in a report showing the damaged POD with holes in the roof allowing water to get into the POD. He said it would take 30 days to complete my claim. After 30 I was contacted the insurance company and informed the my claim was to be handled by PODS. They gave me a new IR 2396349 and I would be contacted by email in 24 hours with next step. I was never contacted. I called PODS costumer service and the informed it would talk 48 hours. I was never contacted. Called every day after that. I have been informed that the costumer service agents have sent a work order to claim adjuster to contact me on my claim. But there is no response. I have been told that someone named Alex is handling my claim but I have no way to contact him. No email or phone number. Please advise me what is the best way to move forward on my claim. I will keep calling costumer service and logging my call witch my lawyer have informed to do show my effort to resolve this claim. I have made payments for the storage for 13 years I deceiver better Service on this matter.
Desired outcome: To settle the claim submitted to your insurance company
Removal of container cost me $1500 in fines and insurance is deceptive by design.
I rented 2 storage containers from them and the first one went okay and they delivered the second. The date i wanted I told them I needed it removed before 3/29/2022 as I would no longer own the house it was scheduled to pick up 3/28/22 but they didn't show and was assured it would be picked up early in the morning the day I settled. Well I pulled in to the driveway of the home because I had a last minute thing to do and parked in front of the POD. I was in the house only 5 minutes total and my husband and I were loading the car the whole time in and out. I rec'd a text from some evil driver saying he could not get to the pod sent me a picture of the car and said I tried calling so I left. You can reschedule for tomorrow I cant wait. He never stopped and knocked on the door or blew a horn nothing just left. Called customer service they were wretched and kept repeating can't help you he left the area. I asked for a manager and was told I was talking to one. Called back and was told by that person he was the manager and no removal today. The settlement almost cancelled and I was fined $1500 because she did not have the use of her driveway for her movers. I was treated badly and I paid a high price. They never responded to my complaint. I told someone else who was nice and empathetic but she too did not get back to me. Eight months late realized being charged$49.00 a month insurance that it said was included in price and 50 when they traveled. I read more when I realized 2 tvs packed they way they suggested had cracked screens. But reading on I realized that was insurance only for fire, or theft not their fault normal ware and tare or how you packed it. But reading the policy was the first timeI l;earned i could have opted out of insurance and supplied my own. I want my money back for insurance and fine for not having pod out of my drive on settlement day.
Desired outcome: I want insurance refunded and $1500 compensation.
End User Nightmare...PODS Damages Building and Does Nothing
I have read dozens of complaints of PODS no honoring peoples' insurance and damaging peoples' property. Here is a new one. PODS damaged a building.
During the removal of the containers the truck destroyed a very expensive seamless gutter. PODS was contacted as soon as this damage happened. PODS asked for an estimate for repairs, which as the manager of the condominium association, I provided them with. They in turn provided me with a case number. I have received one email since then and not one reply or update.
This has gone on for over five months. It appears PODS way of dealing with issues it to kick the can down the road, place people on hold for as long as they can stand it and then with that sing songy customer service voice tell you "they have escalated your request".
Desired outcome: PODS can pay for a new gutter to be made and installed
