Customer Service (Dept of Customer Obstacles)
Company is forcing my calls to the Service Navigator department, where they refuse to do anything at all helpful. Today I attempted to contact OptumRx (their mail-order pharmacy) by using the automated phone tree, but instead I ended up talking to a Service Navigator who refused to help me and refused to transfer me to OptumRx. Apparently in this ginormous corporation I'm confined to getting help from only one person and she's on vacation. Never mind the fact that she's already refused to do anything for me, and she's likely not coming back anyway. This company is accepting payment as if they actually provide services, while doing absolutely nothing but constructing obstacles since last December. They must be forced to refund every penny they've collected this year for my care … those are improperly-received funds.
Desired outcome: Make amends to my satisfaction for the behavior of your so-called Customer Service Navigators and all customer-facing personnel who refuse to provide assistance.
Contact the EBSA and see if they can refer you to the appropriate governing agency.
Look on the website to view what logos are on it and and call them as well. Click the link and it should display details. I was a employee who had a internal appeal going on that they refused to address. So the EBSA was my contact point. Look at the EOB and read who they recommend for you to speak with. You can elevate to the executive team if necessary. Or call their ethics and compliance team.
I’m not an employee and my coverage is not an employee benefit. What can EBSA do for me? How do I escalate to the executive or ethics & compliance teams? I can’t find contact information for either, searching for those is what led me here. Please point me in the right direction.
Not able to get Explanation of benefits and website was down and customer service doesn't work
Greetings!
I have united Healthcare medial insurance and I was reaching out to get Explanation of benefits for the service and the customer service number on the back of my card is not work and the number doesn't exists. When I googled and called United Healthcare, the Customer service agents were pretty rude and direct me to other non-working number. Spent almost 10 days trying to talk but no success. My provider (Edward hospital) has charged me a huge bill $9921 and need your help to fix this issue
House call physical
About 2, months ago I received a letter from United healthcare house call, service to earn a $25 visa gift card, so about 6 weeks ago I had someone come by to give me the physical, I called and was told it was only $15 .. not so ! My letter said $25, I feel like I am being scammed.very dishonest.they owe me $10.!I've called at least 4 times this past month
Desired outcome: To pay me the $10 to fill they're promise of $25.
Overpayment not refunded and dental coverage issues
Due to a problem with my online bill pay service, UHC has received $76.00 a month even though my payment is much less. I called many times and spent long wait times on hold only to get an uninformed customer service person. Most seem indifferent. One told me that I owed you that money and in fact, it should be a surplus on the account.
I changed plans and asked for a bill, never got one.
I changed plans to choice plan one to include dental again. YOUR people failed to activate it.
After that got corrected my dentist submitted for approval of a partial. Which was denied because it was either already paid, (it was NOT-the work was never done) or already submitted.
It was submitted last year and we were told we had to resubmit this year now that the coverage is in place again.
4 calls to incompetent employees and an hour on the phone today waiting to talk to a supervisor.
I need to hear from someone asap. My next effort is to file a formal complaint with the Insurance Commission.
I don't know when I've had worse service or lost more time trying to get a capable person on the phone.
Shame on you.

Desired outcome: You owe me money and this dental claim needs to be approved
Delaying prescription drug approval for a patient
I have been taking Ozempic 1 mg dose for about a year. When we got coverage with United HealthCare, we were told that it needed prior authorization. The doctor went through and filled out the required paperwork and the drug was approved. Recently the company that makes the drug (Novo Nordisk) changed the packaging from a 2 dose pen to a 4 dose pen. The drug has not changed nor has the dosage, but the NDC number changed. United HealthCare then required that the approval process be started all over again. This time, although my doctor assures me that she has filled out the paperwork again, United HealthCare still has not approved the medication. Nothing has changed in my medical history, so I am at a loss to understand why they have not approved it. Now, due to the fact that I have not been able to take the medication, my blood sugar is out of control.
Desired outcome: Appoval of the drug for my use
Denied of claims
This company I am working for has been around for almost twenty years, the company helps prevent emergency visits, it specializes in respiratory.
When United Healthcare came on board, the company stop getting paid for its services. And some patients were refused their critical asthma medication.
When the patients realized this, they had no choice but to switch to a better insurance that didn't play politics with people's lives.
This company Janna Healthcare Services has provided positive outcomes and prevented unnecessary doctors visits, but since this company came on board, the company has not received compensation for money owed to pay its employees.
Some of our clients have experienced denial of medication that is critical for their child's survival. This company is playing politics with people's lives. Medicaid has never rejecting medication dealing with asthmatic or bronchitis but United Healthcare is denying medical attention and medication for their own agenda. This company needs to be put out of business because it has a history of denying claims that are supported with documentation.
I work for Janna Healthcare Services and there has been a cut back due to the company not getting paid for services rendered, this company is a preventive company that helps its patients stay out of the long-term facility and help save lives because asthma is deadly. Parents are already dealing with this virus.
Desired outcome: stop rejected claims, because respiratory issues are deadly. Even doctors visits are being rejected, this is crazy.
UH ever shrinking conditions they will pay for
What am I paying my monthly premium for? You won't pay for anything. United Health took my money every month and never DISCLOSED you would not pay for treatment or partially pay for my condition. There I come from that's called fraud. Unitedhealth is stealing our money and not providing the services promised. Now, some business idiot in a suit is going to decide whether or not I can go to the ER? Really?
Refusing to pay for my doctors claims
I am currently covered under my husband's employment, health plan, and I am also retired and have Medicare part "A" only. United Healthcare refuses to pay for my doctor bills because they say I am covered through any other plan, when, in fact, I only have Part "A" on my Medicare plan. I tried appealing, and I tried calling them to tell them that I only have Part "A'" not part "B" but they don't care.
Desired outcome: Pay the claims
Customer service
I requested a Qualified Health Care letter from United HealthCare on 07/09/21 and to this point I'm only getting excuses why they can't get me this letter in a timely manner. I was told it would take 15 business days which is actually 3 weeks if your counting the weekends as well. I requested this letter so I can move forward and take advantage of the new insurance reform in the State of Michigan. This letter I'm requesting probably takes 5 mins or less to process but their hell bent on delaying this process. I'm certain this delay is do to money and nothing else. Can someone please help me?
Desired outcome: Receive the info I requested ASAP and expose United HealthCare to all interested!
Website for aarpmedicare.com
I cannot log into the website with my Healthsafe ID, I could in the past.
Today I called and spent about 45 minutes on the line and the representative, who was helpful, but could not find out any problems. She also tried setting up a password reset and that was blocked.
She transferred me to another phone number [protected] and as soon as I told the person responding my user name she hung up. The original rep tried another number and it was not answered.
I called the 0627 number and the phone was hung up as soon as it was answered and transferred immediately to the survey. The survey was not able to recognize my responses to the first question, probably because it was negative.
Date of Incident: 11 July 2021
Contact: [protected]@gmail.com or 619.818.3344
Desired outcome: I need to be able to login in with my ID, the same account number works with medical providers
Stop calling me.
You are calling my phone number at 1:30 am to remind me about sending in a blood stool sample that I know nothing about. My wife gets a call at 2:30 am. This is the second time this had happened. I called last month and talked with someone. They assured me it will be taken care of.
Since you have failed to stop the phone calls I must now take appropriate action.
Thank you

Desired outcome: Stop calling me
UMR Claims
They continue to lie over the phone about reasons I couldn't be covered for my annual physical. First they would tell me my medical provider (clinic) billed them wrong, but when I would ask the clinic why they billed them wrong they told me they didn't bill wrong, but when my provider contacted UMR my provider was told I went to another clinic to have a physical, which I never did. Neither was any claim listed showing I visited another clinic. I have coverage for this yet I am denied coverage. They do evasive tactics to refuse coverage and are all around dishonest.
Desired outcome: Claims to be covered
Lack of coverage
My 92 y/o dad feel and broke his R femur and his L ankle. Surgery was done on 5/27. On 6/1, he was admitted to Avamere Ct Keizer. In addition to his fractured legs he has Diabetes, Congestive Heart Failure, COPD and high BP. On June 18, it was determined he no longer qualified for skilled nursing and now we are having to pay $400/ day to keep in the facility since my 84 y/o mother is an able to transfer him, etc. The evidence of coverage states he gets 20 days skilled nursing (which he didn't get) and then copays s/b $184/a day.
Desired outcome: Want to know why he no long qualifies for skilled nursing
His evidence of coverage says he should get 20 days and then copays are $184 a day. Why did he only get 18 days coverage and now our copays are $400 a day?
Optum nurses
My brother who has a TBI had been at Astoria place of Silverton the last 4 years.
This past year I kept asking about his weight and other health issues, I was told it was fine,
It was not, he has lost 40lbs this past year of not being able to go and check on him, your nurses did absolutely nothing to help him, the final straw was that he fractured his hip and there is no record of what happened and they let him walk until he couldn't for 2 weeks before I asked for X-rays
I am not happy with these nurses, they did absolutely nothing to help or take care of my brother…. The entire year I was complaining about his weight loss and they told me he still weighed the same! I knew he didn't when I could see him through bars or outside I took pictures, then I finally saw the portions he was getting. Anyone would lose weight on throw diet. He was supposed to be getting all kinds of supplements and large portions, he was not. I am not happy and when I finally did move him to another facility your nurse Barb made me sign a paper, and then I had no clue he was not going to have this insurance after I moved him. Kerry, Barb and Jinn were the nurses at Astoria place of Silverton in Cincinnati, Ohio 45236
Desired outcome: Take care of patients!
Approval Process for a Sleep Study
Went to Primary for my yearly check up and blood work. It was discussed about how fatigued I was and we decided to schedule a sleep study. ( this was late March) Get closer to time for sleep study, it is discovered that only 1 part of sleep study had been requested. The 2nd part ( where they can use PAP) was requested. The first past has been approved for awhile and I was scheduled for 5/14, but the 2nd approval has not come through. Appointment pushed to 5/18 still no 2nd approval. I now have to reschedule to 6/25 because someone at United Health thinks they need to sit on the approval for 2 plus weeks.
Desired outcome: An Approval process that does not need to sit on somebodies desk.
Benchmark
My son, Joshua, has been denied a haircut for months. His unit at Benchmark in Woods Cross, Utah has been last in getting haircuts and my son can barely see because he has hair in his eyes. There is also a problem with laundry. Other units get to use the laundry on Discovery day but they cannot use the laundry on the other units days. Communication is poor among staff and administration. Please contact administration and let them know that the Discovery Unit needs to be treated more fairly.
Please feel free to contact me at [protected]@yahoo.com.

spam and harassment
i use to live in new mexico for 9 years i was under United Health Care insurance group. i moved to washington in august of 2020 and informed my care coordinator, he has confirmed that is is well noted that i moved. But however they refuse to stop contacting me . i have been round and round with them about contacting me (email i didnt sign up for and us mail all sent AFTER they were well informed that i am no longer a member and told many many times to leave me alone, they just dont get the hint or refuse to stop contacting me. i now seek damages for the latest email sent to me as of today .i have asked them to pay for damages in accordance with washington state anti spam laws.
its been 5 months since they replied and said i was being removed from their lists ...they didnt remove me completely just from THAT ONE mailing list and added me to others which is a violation of my privacy rights~! they claimed they would comply then fail to comply ...
this could go to court if this is not settled and damage paid with this complaint! NO EXCEPTION SPAM IS ILLEGAL NO ONE IS ABOVE THE LAW NO MATTER HOW BIG HOW RICH OR HOW SLEEZY they may be! UHC IS NO EXEMPTION and must comply with the law . when i say LEAVE ME ALONE it should only take once, i lost count how may times i told them that in email...now i want justice they pay damages !
PLEASE NOTE I AM DEAF MEANING THE PHONE IS NOT AN OPTION DO NOT UNDER ANY CONDITION TELL M TO MAKE A PHONE CALL OR ASK FOR A NUMBER TO CALL ME!
Desired outcome: i want my name COMPLETELY removed from their entir system!!! i want it so they never heard of me
Member Benefits/Customer Service Training(Lack of)
I have a very simple request, we have a family of 5 that we pay coverage on. Your company advises to use the MYUhc app and we can schedule appointments and see who is covered under the main account. When we go it is only showing 2 people, I have been on the phone with you all for over 2 hours, transfered 7 times, each time having to keep repeating the same issue, and every rep and even a supervisor to tell me that this is not something they handle and want to keep transfering me. Again 7 transfers and still as of now nobody seems to be able to get the 5 names showing on my insurance card to refelect on the website so that the entire family can use Teledoc Services of which we pay. We have reached out ot Teledoc and it does not show we have the coverage on there end either.
Desired outcome: Fix my account and train each of your team, any member to be transfered 7 times and still not have it resolved in one call is ridiculous and absolutely no excuse.
