*** & *** came out quick & seemed real nice & efficient
& *** came out quick & seemed real nice & efficient. They took lots of pics of what our plumber was doin', all them days they was here. Our leak wasn't gushin' & we could turn off the water in the house. We called 'em to find the leak. But they didn't do that! But our bill was way higher than what our insurance thought they should get! So bummed out 'bout this company.
United Water Restoration Group kept trying to charge me for stuff they didn't even do
United Water Restoration Group kept trying to charge me for stuff they didn't even do. They sent these big claims to my insurance company and then kept bugging me for all the money when the claim got denied and they didn't even do the work. I ended up giving them like a grand just to get them to leave me alone. Don't trust these liars!
The techs came right away, set up their stuff, but haven't been back in a while
The techs came right away, set up their stuff, but haven't been back in a while. I called 'em to ask when they comin' back, and they said Saturday 'tween 12 and 4. They never showed. On Sunday, when I was out, they showed at 3:45pm and left a note. I called 'em again, and they said they comin' back on Monday 'tween 12pm and 2pm. But guess what? They didn't show up again. When I tried callin' 'em again, all calls went to a voicemail that couldn't take messages. This ain't over yet.
Discovering a big flood in our church cuz of a hot water tank burst, we called United Water Restoration Group Pompano Beach
Discovering a big flood in our church cuz of a hot water tank burst, we called United Water Restoration Group Pompano Beach. In just 60 mins, a tech, Angel B., showed up. He checked out the messed up spots, then got to work setting up equipment to soak up, start drying out, and fix the flooding and more inside damage. Bringing in more help, he spent a few days keeping an eye on the equipment and how it was drying out the flooded spots. Angel was helpful and told us what other steps might need to be taken after the damaged spots were dried out. His quick attention to our needs stopped more damage to our place. We're thankful to United Water Restoration of Pompano Beach and Chief Crew Tech Angel B. and crew.
I had a flood in my room and bathroom
I had a flood in my room and bathroom. I contacted United Water Restoration Group, and I regret using them. They tried to charge me for work they didn't do. They came and did a few little things in my room, like removing the baseboard and carpet. They also left four machines plugged in, using my electricity for five days straight. They said the total cost would be $6,555, but my insurance only covered $3,000. They wanted me to pay $3,555 out of pocket if I wanted them to continue. I told them I didn't want them to continue. But even after that, my insurance company paid them $3,000. Then, United Water Restoration sent me another invoice for $9,458.93. I called them to complain, and they said they would review the invoice. But to my surprise, they sent another invoice for $5,000. I called them again, and they said they would call me back, but it's been days and I haven't heard from them. On the invoice, they even charged me for gloves and masks that their own company provided, even though they didn't wear masks when they came to my house. This is ridiculous! This company needs to go back to the drawing board. I won't be making any additional payments. Be careful if you decide to use this company.

In June , I was at home when the water heater burst and started flooding the house
In June , I was at home when the water heater burst and started flooding the house. I called my plumber to turn off the water and the insurance guys from Water restoration came soon after. They took out the floating laminate floors and baseboard from the living room, bathroom, and 2 closets, which was about 280 sq ft. It took them around 4 hours to do all the removing and setting up 4 or 5 big fans. The insurance people inspected and estimated the whole project (except for the hot water heater) at $3,756, which was about what it cost to replace.
In May 2022, I got a bill from water restoration for $4,026. I called them up and they said they would check it out. Then in July 2022, I got another bill from them. I sent them a letter asking for details about the bill, but they didn't respond. Since then, I've been getting threats from collection agencies and they even said they might put a lien on my home.
We had a water line leak under the sink vanity in the hallway
We had a water line leak under the sink vanity in the hallway. I found United Water Restoration Group of South Florida, Inc. online and called them. They came out, but didn't follow protocols. They should have ripped up my floors, but they didn't. They promised a mold person would come to test the house, but that never happened. Now we have extensive damage and health issues. Our home is ruined. If they had done what they said to the insurance company, we wouldn't have this huge problem now. I had to hire another company, and we can't live in the home anymore. It has caused damage to me and others with health issues. The insurance company paid them for what? Nothing was done. I called the company and was told I would receive an email for the report, but that didn't happen. They also promised the supervisor would call me, but that didn't happen either. They claimed mold testing was done, but nothing was actually done. Instead, more damage was caused to the home.
On 2/1/2022, I reached out to United Water Restoration 'cause I had a leaky water situation
On 2/1/2022, I reached out to United Water Restoration 'cause I had a leaky water situation. A guy from their team came over and said I wouldn't have to pay anything. He mentioned that his company handles all the money stuff and deals with the insurance company directly. He made me sign a bunch of papers on his fancy iPad. I asked him for a copy, but he never sent it to my email like he said he would. I also asked him for the invoice, but he told me I had to get it from their office. So, I contacted their office and asked them to send me the invoice. On 3/1/2022, I let my insurance company know that the invoice and the pictures they sent weren't even of my house (there were like 52 pages with pictures and all). My insurance company got in touch with their office, and they admitted it was the wrong invoice and pictures. They said they'd send a corrected invoice. But guess what? All they did was delete the pictures and send the same invoice again, with the same total of $4,378.58. I called them multiple times to get a corrected invoice with the right pictures. My insurance company also called them several times with the same request. But every time, their office insisted it was correct. Then, on 3/15/2022, their office emailed my insurance company saying I owed more money 'cause my insurance policy had a $3,000 limit (so I owe $1,400). When I called their office to talk about this (remember, they initially said I wouldn't have to pay anything and they'd handle the bill with my insurance company), I also mentioned that not only were the pictures wrong, but the work listed on the invoice wasn't even done. The lady at the office told me they have to word it that way for the insurance claim, even if the work wasn't actually done. I asked multiple times for a correct invoice, but she told me to just cross out the items that weren't done on the incorrect invoice and she'd take a look. So, I sent her an email on 3/17/2022 saying I wouldn't correct an invoice that wasn't even mine. I also let my insurance company know not to pay until it's fixed. And then, on 3/19/2022, I got a notice about a lien being placed.

On 9/7/2022, we hired UWRG for emergency water fixin' 'cause of a water leak
On 9/7/2022, we hired UWRG for emergency water fixin' 'cause of a water leak. We sent a claim to our insurance company, *** UWRG sent 'em an invoice for $3,354.30. Our adjuster had some issues with the charges on the invoice, sayin' that some of 'em shouldn't have been included 'cause they're just part of doin' business. According to the adjuster, the invoice should be "AT LEAST as low as $2,048.62." 'Cause of this, the total amount we can get from the claim is lower than our deductible, so we gotta pay the whole dang balance. On top of that, the way UWRG fixed things messed up our wood floor. The adjuster said that "these damages ain't related to the leak and are 'cause of bad workmanship/faulty materials used in the repair." Security First closed the claim. UWRG tried to talk to our adjuster to make 'em pay for the damage they caused, and they asked us to do the same. I tried to reach out to our adjuster to ask 'bout it, but they didn't respond, probably 'cause the claim was closed. UWRG admitted that they messed up the floor, but they think our insurance should cover it. They know we've been tryin' to get estimates, but they haven't committed to payin' for the repairs. We thought we were workin' together to fix this, but today their representative said: "If I don't hear back 'bout this by the end of the week, we'll send this file to collections." We agree with the adjuster 'bout the fair cost of the repairs and we told UWRG that. After a few weeks of tryin', we finally got three quotes for fixin' the damaged floor, and we think it's fair to subtract the costs of them repairs (plus the hotel ***) from the $2,048.62. We'd appreciate your help in solvin' this problem.
We had a water leak in an upstairs bathroom, and it made the living room ceiling all wet
We had a water leak in an upstairs bathroom, and it made the living room ceiling all wet. A plumber fixed the leak and told us to call United Water Restoration Group (UWRG) to dry the ceiling. This happened on 10/21/22 in the afternoon, and the leak was fixed by 6PM. UWRG didn't come until 9PM with two big Dehumidifiers and two huge Negative Air Fans. They brought one of each for the upstairs bathroom (which was already dry) and one of each for the living room below. The Dehumidifier in the living room was supposed to be connected to the hole in the ceiling to dry the bottom of the bathroom floor, but it didn't happen. The Rep just left and said someone from UWRG would come back on Saturday 10/22 to check for moisture and take away the Dehumidifiers and Fans if everything was dry. But they never came. UWRG is closed on Sunday, and we didn't hear anything from them until my wife called them on Monday 10/4 at 3PM. They had forgotten about us. Finally, someone came at 4PM on Monday 10/24 and connected the Dehumidifier to the ceiling, three days later than promised. The floor was still damp (surprising), so the rep left but took the Dehumidifier and Fan from the bathroom, leaving them in the living room. On Tuesday 10/25, she came back and everything was dry. Even after all these hours, I still hadn't received an estimate of the cost for the work, or lack of work. Fast forward to Tuesday 11/15, I got an email with a bill for $3,295.36 for 5 days of rental for all the units. But what I actually had was two units for *** days, and 2 units for *** days. In reality, if they had come as promised on Sat 10/22 and installed all the equipment properly, the whole problem would have been dry on that Saturday. I'm not paying the bill for $3,295.36. Their unprofessional business practice full of mistakes is unbelievable to me. Based on the itemized pricing they gave, $578.68 is all they deserve.
United WaterRestoration said they could handle our USAA claim
United WaterRestoration said they could handle our USAA claim. But USAA denied our claim because their invoice is way too expensive. United Water Restoration said they could handle our USAA claim. But USAA denied our claim because United Water's invoice for the services is unreasonably expensive. So now we can't start rebuilding our home. Both the dry out and rebuild claims need to be approved by USAA at the same time so we can get the money and authorization for the work. It's been 5 weeks and nothing has happened with our home. United Water told us they've worked with USAA before and because of their insurance background, they could handle the claim without any problems. We hired them to dry out our home (because of an AC leak) and their sister company, Hilex, to rebuild it. We got the home dried out from 5/14/5. The bill they gave us without insurance was around $2600 as a cash estimate. But because of the extent of the damage, we decided to file an insurance claim. We paid 50% of the agreed amount, which was reduced to $2375 from the $2600 bill, so we paid a deposit of $1187.50. After the home was dried out, United Water gave USAA multiple invoices for different amounts and now they want USAA to pay over $6000. Obviously, USAA thinks this is unreasonable and denied the claim. Also, we can't start rebuilding because the VP of the company doesn't want to be reasonable with our USAA adjuster and won't agree to a fair payment for the dry out. Our adjuster got quotes from other companies and I got 3 bids too. The highest quote our adjuster got was around $2800. But the VP of United Water doesn't want to accept a fair payment, so we can't rebuild our property and sell our home. I also want to mention that no one at United Water worked on our file and the full invoice wasn't submitted to USAA until 6/2. I only found out about this after making multiple calls to United Water, Hilex, and our USAA adjuster. We told United Water from the beginning that we wanted to sell the property and needed this done quickly. They assured us it would all be handled and that the dry out and rebuild by Hilex would be done in 2-3 weeks max. But now it's been almost 5 weeks with no progress and the VP of United Water is causing problems. This has been a nightmare and the VP is stopping us from getting insurance money to rebuild our home. We can't move forward with Hilex until USAA clears the United Water invoice. USAA won't give us any money. This is really bad on United Water's part and it feels like they're being deceptive and maybe even committing insurance fraud. We want the ComplaintsBoard.com to help us resolve this. We've asked to speak to the owner of the company but they've refused multiple times. I have the owner's name but no email or phone number. The owner's name isn't listed anywhere. (Note: I have emails and calls to the VP and Hilex but nothing has been resolved. I shouldn't have to spend my days on the phone getting nowhere. I've been dealing with this for weeks and nothing has happened. It seems like the VP doesn't care about moving forward, even though Hilex has the next project. PLEASE HELP!)
