UPS Protocol within ups - how you treat your drivers

I found out something that left a true distaste in my mouth for UPS as a whole. This has nothing to do with the packages, delivery or drivers - it's with the company itself and their protocol. Once a UPS driver has completed their long tedious shift of delivering over 100-200 heavy packages per day - like a regular employee anywhere else, they would like to go home and rest or be with their family. However, I found out that UPS makes the drivers that finish their load early go help those other drivers that are seemingly not up to par or milking the clock. This could mean taking another 30-60+ more stops (100+ packages or more) off of another driver that doesn't want to work as hard. So instead of rewarding the employee that completed their job in a timely manner by letting them go home as their work for the day has been completed, they are FORCING those that work hard to help those that don't. This means that the hard working driver(s) have to work an extra 3-4 hours per day. The grueling job takes a toll on the UPS drivers bodies on a regular work day - and God help the ones working even extra hard to accommodate those that don't. In any other company that I've known - the reward goes to the hard workers, not the lazy bums. The slower drivers that milk the clock should have to complete their own shift themselves. I find it unreal that whoever is drafting this protocol wouldn't realize what a bad idea this is. This concept completely ruins any good employees work ethic and morale - and now ruins my taste for them as a company.

Desired outcome: Re-examine how you treat your employees as a whole.

UPS Tracking and delivery of parcel

I had my phone stolen in South Africa so my Son sent me my old one so I would have all my phone numbers etc. Needless to say it never arrived despite being asked to pay clearance charges. They give you a tracking number and then tell you various stories about where it is the problem being they can't even track it and tell you where it is. I as the recipient was asked to send a photo of the packaging it was in "REALLY" I believe DHL wont take anything like phones etc now we know why don't we. This company are a disgrace just give you the run around until you give up.

UPS Alleged delivery

Horrible, horrible. I was expecting a package and was actually outside my front door doing some gardening, when I got the notification that my package was delivered at the front door.

What a blatant lie!. There was no UPS truck on my street and I was standing by my front door when they claimed the item was delivered.

Of course, there is no picture to show it was delivered, just the driver's word.

I surmise the driver stole the package.

Tried contacting UPS by phone and was told to file a claim that I was not eligible to speak to a customer service representative. Tried filing a claim on line and was told I was not eligible to file because my package had been delivered. WOW.

The worst possible customer service ever. How do they get away with this abyssmal service and lies?

UPS Delivery driver

Re: 1ZA9R9240391308676

Package was delivered and left at the very end of my driveway by the sidewalk. Not by the garage as the driver stated. My driveway is ascended, not flat. The item has a UPS warning label of being over 70lbs. I’m a senior and had to drag the box upward toward my garage a good distance. If I hadn’t been paying attention when I was about to turn in my driveway, I would have hit my car as well. This was a very careless, lazy and unprofessional UPS driver.

UPS Adjustment charges

For months I have been getting charged double for shipping, half of which is from adjustment charges. My, so called, sales person, Valerie, has refunded a small amount and told me where to look to learn how to avoid adjustments. Below is the email I just sent her on 4/10/23. UPS puts all of the onus on the customer to try to avoid adjustments then charges high adjustment fees anyway.

Valerie, I have another $800 bill for 20 packages. Half of the bill is because of adjustments. I am doing everything I am supposed to do but still getting adjustments. I will be going back to shipping only a few buckets a week via UPS. I am extremely disappointed and feel like I have been scammed by UPS. I can't not afford to pay double for shipping and I regret switching all of my shipping to UPS. I am going back to GLS/GSO where I will pay 1/4 per month of what I have been paying to UPS.

Krista

Desired outcome: I would like more of the adjustments I have incurred over the past 3 months to be refunded.

UPS Customer service

I called UPS to report a destroyed and burglarized UPS drop box here in Seattle.

First of all, it is impossible to get through to a representative unless you know the special catch phrase. I had to call two UPS stores in the area and the second one store told me to call the line and specifically say "customer complaint".

Once I used the catch phrase in a call to UPS, I spoke to a representative who seemed to not understand English well, kept apologizing to me (as though I had a problem with a shipment), asking for my pickup address and more. So it took me a half-dozen times to say to him that I had not had a problem with a shipment and did not need an apology, but was simply reporting that someone had (probably intentionally) driven into a UPS drop box with the intention of theft of the contents. I gave him the location of the drop box and explained that I had a couple of photos of the box, which included a bumper (lying next to the box) that almost certainly came from the car that hit the box and the time at which I noticed the incident. Instead, the guy kept apologizing to me until I find told him to stop apologizing to me.

He did not want the photos of the destroyed box, any details and just said that they'd take care of it. I guess the moral of the story is "Don't use UPS drop boxes".

Desired outcome: I simply wanted to report this and offer information that I have.

UPS UPS

Never in my life have I've seen such a disregard for customer service by delivery drivers. In the past, my orders have been left at the bottom of my driveway by the road, but today takes the cake. A 75 pound package was left out by the road by my mailbox, which I guess I was to pick up by myself and bring to the house. I am 75 years old and weigh 125 pounds,,,,a physical impossibility for me. I had to drive into town and impose on friends to come and help me load a delivery that should have been left at my home, not 900 feet away next to the road. I have complained before about the shoddy delivery service, where a gas stovetop was left by the road, down comforters were left by the road in the rain, but this one beats all. I used to really like shipping and receiving things by UPS, but now my faith in your service is gone. I plan on notifying all future shippers to me not to use UPS due to their lack of concern about the delivery of packages entrusted to them.

Desired outcome: All future packges be delivered to the home, not left by the mailbox at the road

UPS Delivery

Ordered a parcel from the US being delivered to PEI Canada. Received a notification on the day it was expected to be delivered that the parcel was delivered "at my front door". I have a security camera and can say with 100% accuracy that no driver stopped at my house. However, I was able to watch the UPS truck drive right by my house! I did search through my ditch on the chance it was thrown from the window in a drive by. I phoned my local UPS less than an hour after the driver failed to deliver my parcel but you cannot talk to a human, only machines. I called the help line for UPS and they were so useless. How are they still in business?

I have yet to receive any help from UPS, and I'm still waiting for a refund on my undelivered items which was just shy of $200.

I will never ever support UPS as a business. 0/10 in all areas. They need to shut their doors and stop operating.

UPS Second day or any/all expedited delivery services offered for an extra fee

The ceiminal mafia style crime syndicate known as ups needs to be shut down and upper level management imprisoned for operating an extortion scheme that the old school mafia wouldn't even have the audacity to do! I have been stolen from extorted/abused and flat out intentionally victimized/held hostage for the last damn time by this company that is the absolute worst delivery service ever! At least years ago they put effort into making the scam believable. After seeing they have zero accountability for the intentional scamming people with no intention of even trying to perform the service they charge such ridiculously expensive extra charges with no interest or intention of ever actually providing or performing the service they are outrageously charging people for, and laughing all the way to the bank! I finally had enough and was ready and waiting to catch them in the act with multi angle hi definition cameras with sound as well as sophisticated phone recording surveillance system in place waiting for these thieves to catch themselves, and just like clockwork they did not fail to do what they always do lie, cheat, and steal their way holding good, honest, innocent people, their money, and goods hostage even after paying the ransom demanded by them to just do the service you already paid them a ridiculously hi price to do in the first place that they never at any time planned or even attempted to perform other then collect the insane fees for and then have the audacity to then attempt to blame their incompetence and shift their blame onto the unsuspecting public that has been fleeced from the begging all the way up until ups finally feels they have absorbed all the money they can out of the innocent customer yet not performing any part of what they are charging such a hi price for. Well as I said I was ready and so easily it is embarrassing to see how this is their everyday business practices of stealing from all of us. I paid for 2nd day delivery for expensive precious metals and gemstone delivery, something that ups in my area knows extremely well what type of buying and selling I do for a living handling some of the most expensive, rare, and one of a kind precious metal and gemstone acquisition and sales service, and I have been the target of multiple delivery/shipping companies, and have been held at gunpoint from a previously used shipping services employees scheme to strong arm rob me, after my noticing of several one of a kind diamonds had been switched out for cheap glass imposters somewhere after leaving my secure location but before they reached their delivered location after an 8 month investigation that ultimately ended up with me and my family at gunpoint robbed by masses employees of that service provider that only because the fbi wad already working the investigation clandestinely my family and I were safely rescued and what the thrives thought they got was nothing more then the same glass they had been using when switching the gemstones I put into a secured carton for delivery to my customer that when delivered had been swapped for the fakes so after14 arrested to include lower and mid level management that were involved I thought I had proven to all other carrier services that i'm not the one to pull crap on. Well ups is stealing but in a different way, what ups is doing is a company wide customer wide criminal process. That they extort their unsuspecting customers into overcharging them for services they either cannot perform or in all reality don't even try to perform but always overcharge for with zero accountability

So I waited for them to catch themselves after placing an order for a rather expensive shipment of precious metals I was ridiculously charges an insane amount extra for 2nd day secure delivery. With their so called money back guarentee that no one has ever received. So when the day/time of delivery came I was waiting never for a moment out of place awaiting ups arrival when I seen the truck slow to a stop I didn't get the short horn honk that usually is present when ups drivers are at a stop. No instead what happen8 and caught all on video was the truck actually went a little past my address no horn hi. K and then like a cheetah the driver came sprinting out with blazing speed, no package in hand nothing but a small slip of paper that once close he crouched down so to not be seen and swiftly stuck the paper to a side door of my residence a door that no one would ever think was a entranceway or place a delivery or anyone would approach when trying to make contact with the resident/customer, then after sticking the paper to my door again took off in a sprint back to the truck and instantly pedal to the floor not for a moment looking back bit doing all possible to get as far away as quickly as possible from my location, well obviously I was watching this whole movie scene unfold and within 3 minutes was on the phone with ups supervisor explaining what I just witnessed and so on, was told to please give her 10 minutes to relay my evidence to the local dispatch and someone will be calling me and above all else make sure my delivery is made today!, thus was at 12:30 on 03/09/2023

Well after 6 p.M. And several phone calls by me still nothing has arrived finally at 6:30 a different supervisor tells me how sorry they are but the driver has already went home for the day my package has already been unloaded from delivery truck and placed in some trailer even though the slip on my door says will be delivered the following day, so not sure why they would go through unloading a truck just to reload the same packages back onto same truck 7 hours later, but it is the regular practice for anyone that legitimately gets one of these stickers ob their door, that if they contact the dispatch center the driver is out of before 5 pm the package in question can be made available for customer to pick up at dispatch location same day after 6 pm until 8 pm if not then driver will attempt another delivery the next day. Well obviously my the driver's tactics there was never an original attempt to deliver anything other than the piece of paper saying that due to my negligence or no fault of ups. The package was unable to be delivered because the party.

What's not available for signature so the? Package couldn't be left even though none of that was true and even though I contacted them 4 hours before the deadline time even saying I will come. Pick the package up and was told.

That is an option but they would rather have someone bring it back to me send inconvenience me especially after paying the expensive fee 4 expedited services.

Well that also was never their intention but was only a ploy.

To buy more time so when I was finally able. To get back on the phone with a living breathing speaking human being the timelime had expired and I was told it was not possible to pick up because. It was already unloaded and even though the pick up desk was still not even opened yet would be impossible for them to locate the package and me pick. It up.

However totally possible that they can have it reloaded back on the truck in 7 short hours and be out for delivery the next day. I definitely smelled something fishy especially after everything. I have on video and the fact that the supervisor on knowingly when she thought she put me on hold to call the dispatch location she did not realize that. I was still on the line and the conversation with the disk that center.

All easily herd on my end as the 2 people tried to formulate a good enough. Excuse that they thought I would believe so they could delay time when it was discovered that the package was never even on the truck in the first place meaning they. Would never been able to have a delivered so other than refund the money I paid for expidited services. They instead try to come up with a believable story.

That would afford them the time needed for the package to actually arrive and then use the excuse they were coming up with 2 in an attempt to defraud me.

And try to convince me that it was my fast that they could not make delivery.

That they had followed through with everything they charged me 20 it was only my fault for the reason delivery was not made and also my fault that it. Cannot be picked up cleaning? I never called within the allowed a time even though I called 4 to 5 hours earlier. Then. After the supervisor came back on the line on knowing that I was still there. The whole time with her song-and-dance in sob story and how she felt so terrible for me and now she tried everything in her power to get that. Package to me i'm out of there was anything anything in this world a possibility of making it happen she would have seen to it that it did after finally. Not being able to take.

All of this anymore I asked her to hold one moment please she said she would in which time I rewound the recording that I had overheard and when I came back the on the phone I said could I please have a moment of her time and she said surely and at that time? I replayed the conversation she just had moments before what the co-worker for she admitted. They never had the package on the first ways in that.

The tactics used to pass the blame onto me the unsuspecting customer in an attempt to avoid having to pay any penalties or refund any money so when. I came back on the phone and said what do you have to say about that all? I got was a dead dial tone followed by.

Several attempts to reconnect and never able to speak to another living person only one stupid command button after another that led me in nothing but circles will. I have gathered all of the video evidence along with.

The recorded audio end this is just the beginning. If it's the last thing I do the management at ups will not only pay for this extortion and criminal behavior but I will not stop until. Someone is in prison and this company.

Is forced to pay the millions of dollars? They've been stealing from the public for many many years now for charging for a service they never have any intention of doing other than charging crazy amounts.

And then making up lies on wyatt was not able to be. Performed. Lies so ridiculously and terrible, trust me i've herd the most outrageous from driver in a terrible life threatening accident to bad weather toc even listen to this one that out of no control of ups the shipment in question was confiscated by either customs or federal agents as a different package but one tgar was on the same vessel as mine was being held up until all clear when none not even one time did any of that ever happen not even once were any excuse true! The truth wad they never even attempted to provide any expidited services all they did was use delay tactics until their regular service delivery methods were used and I never got any value for the extra money I was charges for so ups its time your scheme to defraud and criminal extortion methods exposed and pat dearly for your abuse and fleecing of the common citizen is put to an end!

Desired outcome: Class action lawsuit ,multi million dollar award, company assets removal and imprisonment of all involved and extensive investigation of all assets the company has be liquidated and shared among all that have been harmed

UPS illiciting personal information without disclosing the use of that information or any benefit to me

I wanted more detail on a shipment. I was sent to a screen for mychoice. They asked for my name phone number and email. There was no explanation of any service, benefit or even cost.

This is no different from an email phishing attack. It is surprising this is even allowed by law, and that an established corporation with a solid reputation, like UPS, would even engage in this kind of behavior. Just goes to show that in this day and age reputations are deceiving and for sale.

The intent is ovious to make a sale, but also to harvest personal information and sell that for financial gain.

Shame on UPS!

Desired outcome: Stop harvesting personal information prior to communicating the benefits and costs of service. Also, make it clear that you are using any personal information for your own and others marketing purposes.

UPS Delivery service

1Z20W4820405210155
Hello,
Ups is the WORST!
But every time I get a delivery via UPS, it is a nightmare!

This time they send me a text 4 days ago for a delivery on the Monday between 12:30 and 16:30. Checking on the website and the package had not left the warehouse, I called and they send a message for the delivery. 2 hours later, checked and same status… Called again and they said that the delivery would be the next day… But never got a text or e-mail, but finally I get an e-mail and a text for next day delivery… So I left my house and guess what the driver came by at 17:22 leaving a note to pick up at location. Not there, finally a text again for next day delivery…. I am so disgusted with UPS. Will never ever recommend it. It is by far the WORST! Just lies and lies and lies! Even Costco is looking to change because of too many complaints. Amazon, Fed ex, Post Canada, Purolator never ever had a problem!

Desired outcome: Refunded shipping and brokage fees!

UPS Employment services

Worked for this company off & on for years. But recently worked from April until June with no pay, finally received a paper stating I could get my pay 10 months later n it was unbelievable 154.16. How possible if I was making $19 per hr. N what still happen to the other checks. I was not able to communicate with anyone because I was asking about pay the whole time, it was like I worked for free, so not only was I beat for pay but taxes also. Which my w2 says 1.41 how ethically possible is that. I worked hard, came on time, did my job. Would even go back if I was compensated for my house worked n months of waiting to get paid. Now still I have to wait 30 to get my 154... What about the rest. This situation placed me n my children homeless... Does this company even care. Probably not because I'm not their kind... SMH

Desired outcome: Pay what's owed to me respectfully thank u

UPS Unauthorized additional charges on order 1zdt093l0491416041

Date": on The 20th of January I got an online quote for transporting a 0,2kg parcel from South Africa to the Netherlands. After capturing the dimensions online, I got a quotation for R851,25. I paid online and received the following tracking number

1ZDT093L0491416041 (see confirmation of order)

A week later on 27 January there was an unauthorised charge to my account of an additional 177 Euros. I immediately contacted UPS and for 3 days no one was able to tell me what the charge is for. The agents even went so far as to say they never debit client's cards. After a few more days of trying, I was eventually referred to Tanya who asked me to send her details of my complaint (see attached email). After reading my email she responded that I was charged on the volumetric weigh which turned out to be 2kg. The parcel I got delivered was roughly about 200grams ( I have offered to even send video proof of this) and when I did the quote, the system did ask for volumetric conversion. I have been overcharged and ended up paying more than 4 times more than the original quote. When I query this this I no longer get responses. Please assist with getting my refund

I look forward to a favourable response

Desired outcome: Please refund the unauthorised 177 Euro charge

UPS UPS Next Day Air Saver 1Z2EF1821310548926

Every time Amazon ships to using these guys I end up not receiving my order. They ALWAYS claim that delivery attempts were made when that is not the case. Today I received 2 deliveries from other carriers with no problems, to UPS I was not home (usual excuse for their failure to deliver).

I don’t want them near my home any more than they want to deliver here.

I will not do business with any vendor that ships via ups.

Desired outcome: Do the job you were hired to do.

UPS UPS delivery. Condition of parcel unacceptable!

1Z649Y290307520551

2/7/2023 approximately 7:30 PM. I see UPS truck leaving my driveway. I get my hand truck out to get the parcel and this is how it was.. see picture below. My drive is paved the parcel all tore apart and mud all over it. It was raining, however I was out there the minute it was delivered so it didn’t get wet and muddy in a minute. I had to struggle to get it on hand truck ( 105lb box $600 piece of equipment) who does this? UPS apparently. I will reach out to Amazon and manufacturer of equipment to choose FedEx next time.

Desired outcome: Have a little pride in what you do!
