On Dec. 31, 2011 I brought my car to Tire Kingdom for oil change and tire rotation.
Phil Blanche, service manager, came back and told me that my 2 front brake pads are in very bad condition. I will not be able to drive 5 more miles because the metal is so worn out and warned me that metal against metal will destroy my car. My tires have threads showing and needs 4 new ones. My rear 2 rear shock absorbers are leaking and needs to be changed.
I called car max if these repairs are included in my extended warranty. The operator told me that service is closed for holiday and will be open Monday.
Thinking that I cannot drive 48.46 miles to car max without damaging my car and risking my life with a bad tire. I agreed to have 2 front tire pads changed, four new tires and 2 rear shock absorbers changed also. Shock absorbers were not in stock and needed to be ordered. Manager Dave Anderson told me that it will be ordered and to come back Thursday.
I did not look at my bill, just paid them with my credit card $1, 496.79.
They gave me a printed estimate for the back shock absorbers: $2, 262.17
On Monday, I called car max if my extended warranty includes shock absorber, break pads and four tires. I just bought the car on Sept 2011. The four tires should still be in good condition. I also had a maintenance check in car max on October 2011. They must have not checked the break pads and the tires. And now, the back shock absorbers are leaking. The manager told me to cancel tire kingdom appointment and drive to car max and also bring the break pads.
Findings of Car Max:
1. No leak anywhere on my two back absorbers
2. My old break pads can still be used in long drives for months. The manager measured it
with Florida state standard.
3. He also assured me that my tires should have been still be in good condition until at least a
year per my check Record on Oct 2011
4. Also, non of these are included in my warranty because it was not supposed to be changed.

I called Mr. Dave Anderson of tire kingdom and asked why they lied to me. It cost me extra $1, 413.80 to have my oil changed in their store. Why add a road side assistance I did not need. Why was the brake fluids changed. The various expensive testing that my car did not need. I called the tire kingdom complain dept. but nothing was done While I was talking to Tire Kingdom complain department, Phil Blanche told me to get out of his store because people were listening. Phil Blanche came to the parking lot and offered to return $296.03. I accepted the small amount, but this is not enough for the amount they practically stole from me. The overcharged $82.93 was not discovered until after I came home. I informed Dave Anderson to pull my bill and recalculate it. He told me he will mail me the check and he has not done it.
