Horrible company! They lost my contract and my bill went from 85$ in November to 275$ for December! We don't even have snow and my temp is never more than 68 degrees!

BEWARE! This company's canvasers, going door to door, should never go inside someone's home & not try to get elderly to switch gas suppliers! This happened to my 96 year old mother who has dementia . I'm sure he could tell after a few sentences, she had dementia He told her he was the gas company..& he talked her into changing her supplier. She has NO recollection of this of course. Now I have to undo this and get her original gas supplier back!

I have a No Solicitation sign on my door, yet Rob & Wendy knocked and I was stuck listening to their sales pitch about how I'm being overcharged for gas and electric. Maybe I am? I don't know, but it was the middle of the workday and I work from home. They gave me a business card with their names and phone number hand written on it, no website or anything to research at a later time. Apparently they are a ComplaintsBoard.com accredited business, but at the time it just seemed sketchy.

I was just visited at my door in ***, Ohio by a UG&P representative. He stated that he was here as "a courtesy check" just to ensure that Utility Gas and Power was listed on on my utility bills.
His pitch was EXTREMELY misleading, if not downright fraudulent. He stated that UG&P should be on my bill. When I challenged whether he represented a reseller he was very cagey, and said there was no benefit to him for me checking.
If I was familiar with this SCAMMY SALES PITCH I might have fallen for it.
Your website says "We believe that character and integrity are our highest priority." Your representative certainly didn't embody that.

A representative from this company, Jacob, and other guy, went to my elderly mother's house to sell the services. She naively and mistakenly opened the door and let them in, and she doesn't speak or understand English well and this is very obvious. She said yes to everything they said. The rate was changed (even to a lower one maybe), but then I found out she was charged a $99 early termination fee from the other company she had. Of course she was unaware of this! My point here is that these representatives took advantage of my mother to sell the service. This is confirmed because when I call Jacob at the phone number he left my mom, when I started to explain to him what happened he hung up on me! Why did he need to do that? Mmmh! Please, make sure that the people you have going around to the houses are honest and professional people!

SCAM! This company told me they were so much cheaper per KWH. I would save so much money by using them. The door to door guy that came was really good at his job; I will give him that. My electric bill at this time last year was $171 TODAY it is $409 due three days after Christmas. So my family gets to suffer because I am a single mom and it comes down to keep the electric on or get my family something for them to enjoy. Shame on Utility Gas and Power for scamming people! I have called to cancel with them but it will take two months before I will see a difference. When I called the lady said I wasn't signed into a contract. Ummm pretty sure that's why I had your company was because you signed me into a fraudulent contract with empty promises. Also I received a letter stating if I didn't stay on with your company I would be charged a cancelation fee. I stayed but it was never beneficial for me. I wish I would have checked here first because I am clearly not the only one they have scammed.
