Valvoline Instant Oil Change [VIOC] review: Oil change

My 16 year old son took his car in for an oil change for the very first time to valvoline as recommended by a friend. As we are trying to teach him the responsibilities in owning his car and all the maintenance that goes with it, just to get a terrible outcome from the company. Valvoline had him pop his hood as he did, and the technician who was servicing the car who was also the manager of the Creve Coeur location said it wasn’t poped all the way (which makes no sense after hearing the first pop to begin with all she would have do was to open it at her end (from the outside) so she proceeded to go inside of the car to pull the lever even harder from the inside of the car causing the inside lever of the car to be pulled so hard and aggressive, both Eric (my son) and Danielle (the technician) heard a huge explosion pop as if something didn’t sound quite right, that was the sound of the hood braking. It was clear the she had broken it right there and then and left it damaged and dangling. After servicing the car, my son little confused and nervous of the situation since this is his first time having him take his car in, the technician isn’t able to fully close the hood and tells him his hood is broken and can’t be shut (what a surprise) When he clearly went in with a completely capable close hood.

We ask for someone to make this right. We take this car on a regular routine maintenance and we have been sole owners of this vehicle since the year that it came out 2008.
