Vanilla Gift Cards Gift card/account

I bought a $50 Visa gift card for online purchase at my campus bookstore a couple of days ago. Tried to use it, didn't work, waited the 24 hours for the funds to be available, and it still didn't work. Every other company that provides this has some way to register an account, but putting in a zip code did nothing. I signed up for an account on their website, not realizing that they seem to not be able to work together, and I can't delete it either! Never buying one of these again.

Also tried calling them, and I had read enough about hold times, and was just over dealing with it, that I didn't bother with a representative and that is how I found out that the automated system just reads straight off of the FAQs. Only adding as a separate comment because editing doesn't seem to work.

Vanilla Gift Cards GIFT CARD credit stolen by the company!

In May 2023 i got a gift card with so many other from my birthday.

During my summer trip i tried to use a few of it, and one of them was Vanilla.

As i am not from usa, juts moved here, i didnt know i was supposed to unlock it online before using, so I call the company to ask why wasnt working!

They told me as I tryed to use without unlocking, they have blocked it and send a new one.

I gave all the infos they need. Card, proof of identity, address.

They asked me for a 30 days, but nothing happened, so I call today again (Oct 24) to understand why was taking so long, and was told that, I need a proof of purchase! HOW CAN I DO THAT if this was a present?How come a gift card company tell me that i am supposed to go after the person who gave me the card ( and clearly i dont know who is it) and ask for that?

Thats umbelivable!

Its a scam! You are keeping the money and giving excuses!

My case is #[protected]

Desired outcome: PLEASE SEND ME THE NEW CARD WITH MY PRESENT!!!!

Vanilla Gift Cards I want my 285.00 back

Bought a gift cards from Family Dollar in Shreveport, LA on 10/17/2023. And loaded $285.00. I tried to add it to my son apple payment options but it wouldn't let me add it tried to check card online it wouldn't allow me to check it I called customer service they said someone tried to hack the card and they locked it and would mail me out another card and to keep my original. I got the new card today tried to activate it and was told someone called in about this card so it was locked as well and they opened a dispute for me today

i ordered from a silver dealer using my prepaid card from vanilla card company and when the silver dealer turned down payment because of they dont except prepaid cards vanilla took it on their own to freeze my money not theirs until they wont to give me my money back on the card this is fraud i have contacted the attorney general with this matter i will never purchase from these thieves again and wil tell everybody about them so no one else has them do this to them

Vanilla Gift Cards Vanilla Gift Card

I received a Vanilla Gift Visa card in Aug. I could not activate. I spoke to someone back on10/5 and again yesterday. I did get a case number #[protected].

He was going to send me via email, forms for me to fill out to dispute my case. I can not activate. I do not know why..the # on the card is [protected].

The security code is 816. Please help me. Thank you Adele Spira

Vanilla Gift Cards Their gift cards

They claim you can use these cards "anywhere Visa Debit Cards are accepted" But they just don't work in so many places, for no reason. They are frequently declined. You can't use them on Amazon, for example. or at a vending machine. I received one on 10-16 and tried to use it on 10-17 and ran into this problem. There's no rhyme or reason to when you can actually use them!

What's the point if you can never use them? And their customer service is a joke. When you try to call you often get disconnected or a runaround. You have to use an extension and number that is not what the menu says is for your call to actually get a hold of anyone.

Just a scam company.

Desired outcome: To actually be able to use the things the way I should be able to use them. Or to be made whole in some way due to the inconvenience.

I received 2 vanilla gift cards in the amount of $100 each. There were only 12 digits and no CVV number. I contacted the number on the back of the card which is completely useless as you must enter 16 digits. If you don't enter the 16 digits after listening to the recording 3 times telling you to enter your 16 digits they say sorry you are having trouble...

Vanilla Gift Cards Vanilla visa gift card

I was gifted a vanilla visa gift card it declined each time I tried to make a purchase. I went to the website and it shows a zero balance claiming that it was used at both places. This is a scam and my friend just gave away her money thinking she was giving me a gift. Do Not Buy, this company should be investigated and put out of business. When you call customer service you are told that you are gifted a free $100 Walmart Gift Card, yeah right and when I spoke to the very nasty attitude evil woman on the other line she upset me to the point I just hung up realizing this is a scam.

I purchased Vanilla Gift card at Walgreens on 10/04/2023 and tried to activate card, I could not, the fund I placed on the card was pending for a tranaction I did not do. these are the worst Gift cards ever. This customer service guy said transaction was still pending and he would put a hold on my funds, and he did, and the next day pending was off and 440.00 was there Called three times I have to fill out a dispute form and wait 7 to ten days. solution put my 440.00 on new card and send it to me ASAP.

Desired outcome: Called and in the process of getting cash back, of course it will take up to thirty days for my 440.00 cash back on a new card. I have to file a dispute form and add receipt of purchase.

Vanilla Gift Cards $100 gift card

I purchased a gift card with unreadable account numbers and therefore could not activate the card, in May 2023. It is now October 2023 and after a minimum of 9 phone contacts, 2 emails and being directed to wait 30 business days, 40 business hours, you would receive an email within 2 business days and on and on and on and nothing has been resolved. The ability to speak with a supervisor is not acknowledged. I would imagine I am not the first to file a complaint.

Vanilla Gift Cards Scam

I purchased 3 separate Vanilla Gift Cards. 1 card is $80, 2 other cards are $40 each, total of $160, which were all used by someone else. I have feeling that this must be INSIDE JOB SCAM.

Since I purchased these cards at CVS in Torrance, California, I also reported the matter with CVS Corporate office, which they declined to honor this claim.

I lost and ripped off / scammed for $160 and CVS who sold these cards are not taking the responsibility for selling these scam cards, and Vanilla Gift's representative who answered the phone (and told me that I will be receiving the replacement card) did not follow up with me for the status and I still DO NOT receive the replacement cards.

This is a big scam, and I almost thinking of file Lawsuit against Vanilla Gift Card and CVS.

Desired outcome: Not resolved yet.

Email the Attorney General with the complaint. Same thing happen to me. I waiting on a response. The stores that sale these gift cards should be held liable. We didn’t agree to purchase fraudulent cards and with all the complaints they shouldn’t continue selling them. It’s wrong and we all have to speak up and demand our refund and hold the store we purchased it from liable period!

Vanilla Gift Cards Sold bad cards

Received two 50 dollar gift cards. When I tried using them they stated incorrect card numbers. When I called customer service they said the card numbers were invalid. So I was sold two 50 dollar cards that were bad. I have waited over a month for them to finish my case and they still have not touched it. I have called several times and no one can give me any information. The first time I called I was told it would be two days before resolution. Next time I called it changed to 30. I then talked to a supervisor and she said she could cancel my case. I asked if the money would be refunded to the original card and she said no we will keep it. So are they out here scamming people?

Vanilla Gift Cards case [protected] - Vanilla Visa Gift Card.

I received a Vanilla Visa Gift Card for my birthday in June, 2023. The card was damaged. I requested a replacement card the first of July. I received a request to provide my first name, last name, a copy of the front of the card and the receipt (which I did not have because it was a birthday gift). I was given a case number July 11, 2023.

Since then I have sent numerous emails and haven't gotten any response.

Here it is September 30th, 2023 and I still waiting for a response.

I also have called numerous times and they always say the card is in the mail which it never arrived. I asked to speak to the manager. I was on hold for over 30 minutes before I hung up.

Purchased several Vanilla Visa gift cards for a business associate only to learn he has had nothing but problems utilizing the cards at various vendor locations (Lowes, Walmart to be specific).

The cards were returned to me in an attemt to resolve the issue. Upon contacting Vanilla customer service I was advised to seek other vendors. This practice is totally unacceptable.

Vanilla Gift Cards Customer care

I bought a card a visa gift card in the amount of 75 dollars from wall greens. I opened the card, and the last 4 numbers of the card were missing. I called customer service, the first girl had the worst attitude, calling me a liar, refusing to transfer me to a supervisor. Finally I hung up and tried again, a man answered, I explained the situation and while he was pleasant enough told me there is nothing he can do. I asked him to transfer me to a supervisor, he argued that a supervisor can’t do anything. Mind you I just paid 80.95 dollars to not be able to use the card. He placed me on hold, 1/2 hour I couldn’t hold on, so I hung up and tried a third time, I explained the problem. I asked if I could be transferred to a supervisor, I been on hold for 30 minutes as I sit and write this.

Desired outcome: Teach customer service to your employees. Replace my card.

Vanilla Gift Cards The balance on my card and not being able to use the card.

I purchased a $100 Vanilla gift card on 9/24/2023. I did not realize I could not use it for online payments so after several attempts the card was apparently locked. I talked to customer service at both phone numbers([protected] and [protected]). The second person I spoke with of whom I gave all the attempted transactions too said he could unlock the card since I verified my information including my name and the last four numbers on the card. That was around noon on today(9/25/2023). I just logged on to check my balance and it shows $0. Where is my $100 that was the balance on my account. I have not been able to use the card. I need someone to reach out to me at [protected] or lethia.[protected]@yahoo.com because this is not right. I am attaching the online information for the card I purchased and the receipt showing my purchase on 9/24/2023.

Desired outcome: Please refund my $100 plus the $4.95 fee that I paid to purchase your card.

Vanilla Gift Cards vanilla giftcard

I had a loss in my family and got a $70 gift card (vanilla VISA)

I kept having problems and called costumer service to see what I was doing wrong. I gave the info for my card, thinking it was safe. Next thing I know, between the moment I hang up with the CSR and went to the store, they had already done a transaction for the whole amount of the card.

Needless to say, it could have been the same employee. I called them again and know they say I have to wait and they will do this and that...

Do not waiste your time nor your money with this company. SHAME ON VISA whta has its name with these kind of bussiness /comerce.
