hello, there u know i faced the same problem like one of the consumers complain i have just read about the caller tune services i am recieving msg frm past month from vodafone
caller tune services for new latest movie caller tunes rs 6.00 per min on the nbr567131. i have called twice to get my favourite
caller tune but not able to get any how plus my whole prepaid balance is getting deducted itz only vodafone services caller tune or somebody else is sending messege dont know but as i checked as per them if the call rate is rs 6.00 per min then for 3 min22secs, then as per call rate only 18.00/rs should get deducted but my whole balance of rs 50.00 has been deducted in this call hardly amount of rs3.00 is balanced on the prepaid card is remaining and have not got the caller tune yet which i want. if vodafone caller tune services does not revert this and give me the services i will go to consumer court against vodafone and will not use the sim services in my life ever and will tell all people to quite these company services they will loose so many customers.

On 1st April, 08 I bought a new prepaid connection from one the vodafone delear frm laxmi nagar. I submited him all of my required documents same time. But yesterday my phone showihg Sim Registration Failed, without any prior intimation ?
When I contacted vodafone customer care they said my docs were not submitted to to vodafone activation department. Its not my fault if docs were not submitted.
Because of disconnection my business got suffered and vodafone will be responsible for that...M going to cunsumer court to file case against vodafone for the loss...

vodafone bills being received in spite of deactivation of the number

I have arrived United States in the month of October '07. My Dad has submitted de-activation of my number [protected] after clearing all my outstanding bills in the Month of November '07 as i was not using this number any more. I have sent an email as well after clearing the the amount of de-activation of my number in the Month of November '07.In spite of all this i have been receiving bills till date even after several compliants given.
Being in US it is not possible for me to contact in person and get this resolved.My dad has been following up but no one from Vodafone (Begumpet- Hyderbad) are taking corrective actions on this.
As a pro active action, all my outstanding bills till 8th November 2007 have been cleared and also submitted a request through mail and in person (My Dad), but no action has been taken and bills have been sent till date.
Please help me to lodge a complaint agaist vodafone on this regard.I'm not responsible for payment of these bills as there is no mistake my my end. I do have my mails as proof to submit.

Nokia 1110i model mobile with Hutch connection was purchased by me in the month of November 2007. A Hutch caller tune was automatically allotted to the mobile in the month of December 2007. Since then I contacted customer care, sent so many messages to deactivate the caller tune, visited the Vodafone Shoppe thrice in Visakhapatnam. And finally deactivated after three months of efforts. Every month they have charged 30 Rs. towards caller tune charges which was unauthorisedly allotted to my mobile. They have not reibmursed either. Mobile No. [protected]. Caused so much inconvenience.

no activation process from last 7 days

On 19th feb i had taken a post paid sim card (not a new connection) by paying rs 250.oo to an executive (Nitin) from mas callnet india private limited.
infact he said me that the activation takes only 24 hrs but now its almost 7days without any verification calls niether any confirmation and still my sim registration is inactive.
morever the number given on the receipt [protected] doesnot exist and the executive number is always switched off.
its my kind request to pay kind attention and take neccessary action asap.

Hey its the same bloody problem with me. I have been getting the same treatment from Vodafone Store Executives. I got my new postpaid SIM 4-5 days back and all I keep getting is assurance with no valid efforts on their part. When I called those CCEs of Vodafone, They say they can't help it. I don't blame them but I rather blame the people responsible for services.
I have been a loyal vodafone customer for 5+ years now but with this callous attitude, I am liking my second service provider(Airtel) now. Atleast they have the courage and upfront attitude.

I dont agree with the customer Complain because purchasing any thing withtout specification is a fulish task without awaring about the fact wether it is original SIM and representetve how customer purchased it.
Yes the same with me, i took the connection with Abstract solutions on 16.4.08 a post paid sim card (not a new connection) by paying rs 250.oo to an executive and continuously following up with vodafone Mr abhoshek ([protected]) and Abstract solutions ( Rahul [protected], [protected]) but they are not activating . Now they stopped picking the phone also. Vodafone should take atleast some action, atleast not to disclose personal details of customers to such private companies.
Vodaphone should stop using abstract.
Abstract solution has shown the same negligence. The post paid is not activated and the pre-paid is disconnected. Vodaphone is using a vendor that is not trustworthy and reliable. when i call vodaphone they cant help me. They are unaware that my prepaid sim card was deactivated by Abstract. The post paid is still not activated.

A fraud has been committed with me by the Vodafone cellular company by telling a wrong plan. A sum of Rs. 300 was asked as security which i had deposited with the Vodafone executive and collected the receipt. I canceled the application for this after the verification call told me the correct plan. Now my money is not been refunded and I am asked to wait for month or go to Vodafone centers with the receipt to collect the refund. Moreover no help is provided by the customer care centers also.

I am using Vodafone (previously Hutch) service in Bangalore since last 6 months. The primary reason for going for Vodafone was the tariff plan. But after such hard time I think I made mistake for choosing Vodafone. Now a days i observed that dialing out during evening time (5pm-7pm) is very difficult, as I always get 'Network Busy'. But today it was height, i am trying to dial out since 6pm to 11pm. I was getting 'Network Busy' continuously. I couldn't dial single call out.
I am wondering how Vodafone will sustain its growth of its customer base in coming future? They really need to work hard on network issues, and infrastructure.

Same problem in hyderabad. Although i have full network most of the time, whenever i call someone esp STD i have to do that atleat 10-15 times to connect, every time it says "network busy".

I am highly disappointed by the customer care services provided by the vodafone prepaid . I have been writing them reminder mails at the [protected]@vodafone.com and nobody seems to listen. The word care is so ironic as there seems not an iota of care in the way company is treating its customer. I had approx Rs. 1200 worth of balance in my prepaid account when the validity of my recharge got expired.
The mobile set was not working at that time and hence the number was not in use. No attempt was made by the company to contact us even though the alternate contact no. was given at the time of taking this number. When i called up the customer care regarding my complaint, I was put on hold for a no. of times before I could be heard and could get my complaint registered. I came across some of the worst customer care executives who did not seem to understand a word of what I was saying. Finally I got a reference no.[protected] and was asked to mark a mail on the care @ vodafone.com ID. I got an automated reply and every time I mark a reminder, all I get is the automated reply.
My advice... STAY AWAY FROM VODAFONE.

This company is a real fraud. In the last six months they have tried to cheat me of my money several times.
1. I had asked them to put my number in "Safe Custody" scheme for 3 months (because I had to leave for the US), whereby I was supposed to pay them 99 Rs rental for temporary suspension of my number for 3 months but retaining the number so that I can reactivate the number after 3 months. But Vodafone thought it to be a right opportunity to cheat me and they promptly resumed my services after I left the country and started billing me. I monitor my account over the internet on a regular basis, so I caught their fraud in 2 days and e-mailed them. But they did not respond to my e-mails anymore. Only auto acknowledgements were received. I am going to lodge a case against the company for playing fraud with me, and will use all my e-mails and their auto acknowledgements as my evidences. Even the nodal officer and apellate officer are not replying to the e-mails sent out to them.
2. In addition to the above, some time back they tried to harrass me by activating caller tunes without any request. When I enquired about this their nonsense executives told me that there is no way they can enable caller tunes without request. Then the real trick. Because of an unwanted caller tune, the customer sends out a deactivation SMS for which they are charged 15 Rupees. Many persons tend to ignore this amount becasue they do not monitor their bills much. Maybe only 20 % of people monitor this. Rest don't. That means Vodafone manages to dupe lakhs of people of 15 rupees every month. Imagine the illegal profit they make out of customers hard-earned money. Request all of you to lodge public interest litigations in this regard. These foreign companies should not be allowed to come to India and cheat Indian public this way. They cannot do anything like this in USA or Europe, becuase that would cost them millions of dollars as fine. They can afford to do such corruption in India because of government support in the corruption activities. Please, for god sake, do not spare these corporate cheaters. Let us show them what Indian Law can do to them.

I had made my bill payment thru Credit Card at Vodafone IVR and IVR played the message that I will receive my transaction ID in next one hour and till next day I did not got any transaction ID then I called at the helpline and the executive told me to wait for another 24 hrs but on insisting to give me a complaint number he put me on hold and said ur Complaint number is [protected]. Next day I have called at helpline and lady said there is some technical updation going and call in the evening for conformation. Today when I called the executive instead of listenening me started asking for details of complaint and when I gave them the complaint number I was told this is the query number and said need to remake the payment as this is the commonsense and nothing else. These guys are just making fun of the customer and instead of telling me in intial stage is telling me to go to hell and can complaint any where.

i am Blaise Miranda residing in mumbai city in INDIA. I have been harassed by the vodafone centres a lot. This was the problem i had to face. I had purchased a vodafone campus card around 2 months back submitting all the required documents. after that i got a message within a day saying that the documents submitted were incorrect. Without any delays I contacted the customer care who told me that my address was incorrect. So I went to the nearest vodafone centre to submit my documents again, but there i came to know that my address was right but the card was on some "Mahendra Chauhan's" name. The executive told me to re-submit the documents and my line would be activated and everything would be normal. Then I again got a message saying that "your line will be de-activated within 24 hrs if you do not submit the right documents". Again without any delays I contacted the customer care and again they told me that the documents had been rejected because the card was on some other person's name. Again they told me to re-submit my documents and told me that the line would be activated soon. Yet they did not start my line . I went again on 11-11-2007 to the vodafone centre with the same problem and she(executive) told me to submit 2 documents, incase anything would go wrong with one document, the other one would be standby. Then my line was activated but again on 18-11-2007 my line was de-activated without any notice or text message. I rang them up and they told me the same problem due to which I was really frustrated. Since I was out of town for 9 days I could'nt do anything. but when I returned the first thing I did was I rang up to the customer care and told them the problem and there was a new scenario here. This executive tells me that my line was not getting activated because my card was on "MAHENDRA'S" name and i had to get an NOC from him. He told me that it was my dealer's fault due to which i was really disappointed because after visiting the vodafone centre 2 times and submitting my documents 3 times, no one ever mentioned that i had to get a NOC from "MAHENDRA" due to this harassment i wanted to deactivate the "campus scheme" they(customer care) told me that it would be de-activated within 12 months. I wanted to discontinue it because of the harassment and because of my address on other person's name.
When i asked them to look into the matter again, they said they could'nt help me with it due to which i have changed my operator to another one and i am very happy with it.
The serial no. of my complaint which i had lodged on 11-11-2007 is "SR# [protected]" and the executive's name was "Sonia Dhir". I just want to ask a question, "is this what a person has to go through to be a vodafone customer ?"

Myself having vodafone connection under family plan max 10. As I wanted to move out to other plan, and wanted to cancel certain numbers, having very difficult time with company people. While visited to their vodafone shop, they instead of accepting letter, just gave lame excuse of first getting shifted to new plan and then cancel other numbers.
It seems vodafone is not taking customer's interest and want to show that the end user that is customer has to dance to its tunes. If this is the case, then be careful vodafone, it won't be surprising that people will say in india, in near future that vo (Woh) da (Tha) fone (Phone), the words put in the braket are synonymous with company's name, it means once upon a time there was a cell company called with name of vodefone.
The behaviour of company's staff will affect company's interest in long run. Hence requesting higher ups in vodafone to look into customer's interest.

We have applied for new postpaid connection in our company name under the CUG plan with Vodafone Mini Store representative located at Shop.2, Plot #3, Thandava Moorthy Nagar, Valarasaravakkam, Chennai - 600 087 . The representative Mr.Martin gave me new SIM cards on the 23rd April and not attending calls since then. Vodafone call centre also are irresponsive.
Hope this mail gets to their concerned department, as none of the call centres divert calls to the concerned person. All the call centre staffs are more of pre recorded devices then real people.

I called up at vodafone customer care no. 55666 on 5thDec.07 to enquire about blackberry services plan & i spoke to below mentioned people in a chronological order ,first of all no one has idea about the services ..they are not trained enough so as they have a good product knowledge with poor communication skills...moreover everyone put me on hold for a minimum of 5-10 min ,took my name & no & disconnected the call ,i have the recording as well on my mobile...Even there supervisor who are good for nothing namely

I am using a vodafone postpaid connection last 2 month std sms charged in my bill but i am not sending any type of std sms. the month of june in my number std sms charged 197/-rs and the month of july my number std sms charged 98.80 some thing. but ia m not sending any std sms and all std sms sending on a particular Reliance number and this number is unknown for me...iam very worried because if iam not sending any std sms so why i am charged . plz take care of my number because iam a old customer of your network. i thiink some one other using my number but this is not possible becuase i am not sharing my mobile to any other person even my friends & my family person also. your customer care excutive not solve my problem so iam forwarded a complaint.so kindly solve my problem snd refund my amount...plz this is my humble request solve my problem and plz call back me...

yesterday at 7:00 pm,i recharged my prepaid account by Rs 35 bonus card(300 local sms),i didnt get any confirmation sms that your plan is activated or not i called up customer care to find out what is the status as iam getting charged for my msgs.there was a customer care executive (DILIP) who is very rude and in a hurry to disconnecte the line,might b looking to improve his aht(average handling time),that idiot told me ur plan is activated on ur number at 9:00 pm,than i asked him "why iam getting charged for it " He replied" is there anything may i assist u with".
Its not the matter of 3-4 Rs but if vodafone cant provide customer satisfaction or cant solve the problem of customer than why just for formality u have open up ur customer care centre.Vodafone is waisting money for customer executives like these.If want to spend the use it for product quality than there will b no need for customer care.

NON REGISTRATION FOR MARATHON
I have paid amount(Rs.100.00 only, Kiosk accepted one 100 rupee note only)for hutch marathon but my registration failed and receipt came out with failed registration as the Kisok machine could not accepted second 100.00 rupee note .
I raised the matter to the customer care executive present over there (Mr. Sumit and Mr. Gupta) .They did even spoke to me and I waited there for long hours but all in vain .
Due to this I did get registered for Hutch marathon and they even did not refunded me my money and said you have to register again . My Rs. 100.00 gone due to fault in the kiosk money.

Vodafone's service is worst among all service providers. They charge you for services which they are unable to activate within the promised time. they will not deactivate it even if it is not activated indeed for say 10 days.If u get some service deactivated, its no wonder that in your next bill you will find it active. and they will ask you to show 30 days old message of service deactivation at Vodafone stores. You will be even more disappointed on reaching Vodafone stores coz the staff never have solution of anything and they will ask you to call customer service. so the process goes on & you find yourself in helpless condition.

Have someone ever looked at the ads of vodafone "ready to help" with a puppy dog, its just to say there is a bigger dog there to bite you. The customer care executive at vodafone are really of no use. i have faced similar fate and will request no one to further take any vodafone services because they will terminate the service at their will and even their billing process is very bad

I bought this connection because of good market value of Hutch’s service but service which I am getting from Vodafone is very very bad.
This is second time happing with me when Vodafone stops getting calls form me why Vodafone stops getting calls form customer?
I am trying to connect with customer care by dialing (111) throw my mobile no but you have stopped my customer care services. I think you should say UNHAPPY TO HELP.
Not only this had even I got a message on 2nd Feb. 2008 from Vodafone that you are getting 200mint. Free from Vodafone to Vodafone on this Sunday. But when I gets my bill there was no discount. I tried to connect with customer care for this but they stop taking calls from my no. then I went to Vodafone’s store and saw them that message which I got from Vodafone they promised me that this time you will get this discount. But again I did not get discount. Just for the sake of 203 Rs. I had to come Vodafone’s store many time. I spend more than 203 Rs. for getting this amount.
Presently I am using china’s hand set I wanted to use GPRS services for this when I tried to connect with customer care they said we don’t have this information we can’t help you for this you have to go Vodafone’s store where you will 100% get this solution again I went there for this but even the lady who were attending me did not have experience for this and said that I can’t help you again they start bothering me.
I paid advance for a year in the expectation of getting good service from Vodafone but due to there bad service now I would like to take my advance back from Vodafone what ever I paid in the advance for this plane not only this amount I want to compensate for my hassles also.
And now I want my same mobile no from Vodafone I would like to go for other service provider with the same mobile no. And really I’ll strongly advice every one that they should not take Vodafone’s connection

But Vodafone is a bundle of problems. I can’t explain every thing in this email but I know one day Vodafone will defiantly loose there all valuable customers like me.

There is no point in writing complaints here, on this website for Voda users...It is better to mail directly to the concerned circle (UPE, UPW, Delhi, etc.) heads. I had a complaint with my connection in UPE and mailed to the concerned Nodal level manager...within 2-3 days my problem was resolved...You can find the addresses of the Nodal Officers of your circles at the Vodafone website...

On 8th Oct i submitted the all relevant document to vodafone office in rajajipuram at lucknow, after four day when i enquired to vodafone office that whenever anyone calling in my cellphone my cellphone showed me " unknown" but not any number .after one week the thing become worse . they stopped my outgoing call .i wentto the vodafone centre in rajajipuram at lucknow i enquired about my verification they showed me that ur verfication has updated . but the problem is same outgoing has stopped and incoming call number has not been showing till now ... kindly take proper action at ur earliest.

I am a customer and opt recharge often and found the balance reduced automatically from the mobile. The mobile Number [protected] . The example is Rs. 50 (Fifty) as recharged on 09.1.10 and overnight seen Rs. 30 (thirty) spend without any call contact. This is my request to clarify the actual fact and confirm me. Oblige your office cooperation.
I just made a call to Vodafone Customer (dont) Care regarding the same issue. The representative told me a very simple way to get away from this annoying messages. "Just wait for 4 days; and within this time, make sure you dont go within the proximity of any tower that has the ad message activated. Tadaaa... The annoying messages will be gone... ehh... until you go near another tower that has this 'facility' activated"
I have not felt irritated like this in a while..
Sure, I am irritated by the Cell info display content. They dont heed to TRAI. Cell info must be that of Tower name and not an advertisement!

Subject : Vodafone Cellular No. + [protected]
It does not give me pleasure at all to waste my time and yours about the CALLOUS SERVICES of VODAFONE INDIA.
Subject Vodafone Cellular No.+[protected] was on Corporate Account until Oct/31/2007 and since the same was been used by the Author of this message he wanted to Retain the Same No. on his Individual Name.
Necessary NOC from the Corporate Account was submitted to Ms.Neetu of your Kharghar Vodafone Store on Nov/01/2007. During the time of submission the Author had discreetly requested Ms.Neetu to complete all the documentation at one go to avoid any inconvenience to any concern later. Ms.Neetu assured that basis the NOC everything would be taken care off and also my Tariff Plan would be changed from Plan 699 to Plan 299.
However the same did not happen and Ms.Neetu called me on Nov/03/2007 stating that she would require me submit my Billing Address Proof along with a Photograph. The Author rushed to the store which is about 30 Kms from his work place and handed over the desired document and the Photograph. Again the Author requested Ms.Neetu to check and confirm whether the exercise of Transferring the Account from Corporate To Individual and the Tariff Plan is changed or not. She suggested that the Author clears his previous months Bill Amounting to Rs.1253.77,which was supposedly due on Nov/15/2007. The Author asked Ms.Neetu to advise him the Total Amount Due Until That Hour ( 19.00 Hrs Of Nov/03/2007 ) and she was kind enough to suggest the Amount which was Rs.1,322.00 and which the Author immediately paid through his Credit Card. And for which the Transaction ID is MKG-2-[protected] (19.04.05 Hrs). After making the payment the Ms.Neetu kept a Xerox Copy of the Payment Receipt and assured the Author that the Account & Tariff Plan Transfer would effect within the next 48 Hrs.
The Author waited for a confirmation for the next few days. Not getting one he called Vodafone Helpline ( 111 ) on 13/112007 and spoke to Ms.Tejas who said that the Plans have not been changed since she they did not receive the author’s documents. On being given details Ms.Tejas promptly connected the Author to Ms.Neetu. It was a shock to the Author when Ms.Neetu said that she did not process the documents since she would need Rs.500/- against some charges. The Author nearly lost his control and asked Ms.Neetu that incase he hadn’t called would Vodafone bothered to inform about the status. He also asked Ms.Neetu to pay the money and process the documents and her money would be reimbursed by 19.30 Hrs the same evening. Only the Almighty and Ms.Neetu know whether she had made the payment from her side but the author kept his word and by 19.30 hrs the same day he reached the Vodafone Kharghar store and paid a sum of Rs.500/- to Ms.Zahida but for which no receipt was issued. Ms.Zahida assured to pass on the money to Ms.Neetu and said that everything will be all right now.
On Nov/17/2007 the author called Vodafone helpline no.111 and was shocked when he was told that by Ms.Priti that neither the author’s documents have reached at her end nor his payment was reflecting in her system. Later she connected the author to Ms.Suhasini who in a blink said that the documents have been processed on Nov/17/2007. She also assured the Author that she would make a note that the delay has occurred due to Vodafone and hence the author may be billed @ Tariff Plan 299 from Nov/01/2007 the day when the NOC was given to Vodafone.
The Author’s misery did not end here and on Nov/28/2007 his Phone was disconnected by Vodafone. When contacted one Mr.Shyam came online and assured that the mistake is from their side and that the Line will be restored within the next Two hours. When told about the course of events, even Mr.Shyam was surprised that the Payment made of Rs.1,322.00 was not reflecting in his system. Mr.Shyam kept his word and the line was restored.
The Author now sat back and relaxed that at last Sanity Prevailed with Vodafone and his miseries have ended. He received an SMS on Dec/12/2007 that his Bill for the month of Nov/2007 is due on Dec/16/2007 for an amount of Rs.619.22. While he was waiting for the Bill Soft & Hard copy he found that effective 12.50 Hrs of Dec/03/2007 his out going calls are barred. With utter disgust the author called Vodafone at 111 at 14.00 Hrs and this time one Ms.Monica came on line and informed that since the Credit Limit on the Author’s Cell no. is fixed at Rs.300/- his line has been disconnected. She also commented that the Verification Process is still not over. The last nail on the coffin was that when Ms.Monica was told that is it not Vodafone’s Duty to inform the Patron about the Blocking Of Any Service. At 14.00 Hrs, Ms.Monica smartly forwarded an SMS at 14.08 Hrs stating that the out going services are blocked and mind you this was after the author had disconnected the call.
Now the Bone Of Contention is :
Is it the Patron’s Responsibility to check whether his File Is Moving Or Not ?
Is it not Vodafone’s Responsibility to Inform the Patron Regarding The Status ?
Is it not Vodafone’s Responsibility to Inform the Patron Regarding The Blocking Of Any Service Giving Reasons and Not Lame Excuses When Caught by the Scruff ?
Does VODAFONE Only Believe in Harassment Tactics ?
Does Vodafone works in this Callous Manner Globally Or Is It Just Taking The Indians for Ride ?
Your soonest advise on the above would enable the author to set further course of action.
