I went to Volkswagen of Fallston to buy a used car and it was a terrible experience
I went to Volkswagen of Fallston to buy a used car and it was a terrible experience. The salesmen were really shady and I heard from someone who worked there for 4 years that they try to avoid doing any warranty work. I filled out a credit application and had $4,000 to put down, but they chose someone else who didn't even have any money to put down. They wouldn't even accept my credit application, which seems pretty unfair. Two days later, Brendan called me and tried to convince me to buy a car from them, even though I had already decided to buy from another VW dealership. He was really rude and told me that I didn't have any manners. He even insulted me by saying that I was a 21-year-old with an OnlyFans account. I can't believe that Cook lets their employees talk to customers like this. It's a good thing that I work as a Paralegal at a law firm. This dealership gets really defensive when someone says something bad about them, which makes me think that they're hiding something. Smart people will see through their lies. Have a good day!

I got a car from this dealership and it was a real hassle
I got a car from this dealership and it was a real hassle. They didn't treat me right and there were problems all over the place. The people who work there don't seem to care about customer service at all. I got an Atlas SUV in March and it was dirty when I picked it up. They wouldn't even clean it for me. They also haven't paid off the car I traded in, so I'm getting late fees on that. The monthly payment is also higher than what we agreed to. I've tried talking to the managers, but they just hang up on me. They won't even give me my $500 deposit back. They told me to talk to a lawyer if I have a problem. Nobody even showed me how to use the features on the car. It's a real mess.
I had an appointment at Volkswagen of Fallston and drove for 45 minutes, but when I got there, the car wasn't there
I had an appointment at Volkswagen of Fallston and drove for 45 minutes, but when I got there, the car wasn't there. I saw a Mercedes-Benz online and called to ask about it. A sales guy named Cody called me back at 9:45 am and said it was still available. He asked when I could come test drive it, so I made an appointment for 2 pm today. I drove for 40 minutes to get there and talked to Cody. He told me they didn't have the car because it was at another location and they wouldn't let me see it because someone else had an appointment. I wasted my time driving to the other location for nothing. I called the manager and complained, but he said he would call me back in 10 minutes and never did.
I got a new car from Cook Volkswagen on 09/12 and traded in my 2012 Chevy Malibu
I got a new car from Cook Volkswagen on 09/12 and traded in my 2012 Chevy Malibu. I signed the contract and was told to come back for copies on Tuesday. But starting on Monday 09/14, they asked for more financial info. I had many texts with my salesperson over the next 40+ days. In October, I started getting calls about my traded-in car from Credit Acceptance, my old loan company. But I told them I traded it in and that the dealership knew about it. But they said no pay off was made. I contacted Cook Volkswagen and they said they were paying it off. But I kept getting calls from Credit Acceptance. At the end of October, I was told to sign a new contract because the first one was no good. I wasn't told about this before. They also never paid off my trade, which caused a missed payment and hurt my credit. I signed a new contract, but they haven't been in contact with me much since. I talked to a Volkswagen rep, but they can't help since it's not car-related.

I traded in my 2017 Nissan Altima on October 7, 2022 for a 2023 Volkswagen Taos in Maryland
I traded in my 2017 Nissan Altima on October 7, 2022 for a 2023 Volkswagen Taos in Maryland. I had lots of issues with this dealership starting about 3 weeks after getting the vehicle. First, it was a hassle to get my registration and license plate for the new vehicle, and I'm out of state. Before I went down, I asked if it would be an issue with having my ex on my registration, and they said no. Then it was shortly after purchasing. The sales rep Hunter stopped responding to me through text on this issue. October 27, 2022 was the last correspondence regarding the registration, which I did not receive a response but assumed something was fixed. I then asked on November 23, 2022, about this, which I was told was still an issue but did not hear back. Finally got that situated on January 12, 2023. I brought up in previous conversations about my credit being impacted due to my previous vehicle still being under my name. The payoff amount on 10/7/22 when traded in was $15,874.63 for the Nissan. The dealer informed me the payoff was never sent until 12/30/22 to *** for my previous car. I have asked why and still have not received an answer as that is almost 3 months after the purchase of the new vehicle. So this entire time I had the Nissan loan attached to me, which marked against me on my credit for missed payments, late fees, and interest. I spoke with a rep from *** on 1/23/23. He informed me they never received a payoff. Because of this issue, it also added $2,100 to the previous car loan for no insurance on the vehicle as I switched it to the new vehicle when purchased. Now the new 10-day payoff for the Nissan on 1/23/23 is $18,830.11. I spoke with the dealer to let them know the increase and why on 1/23/23. I told them I needed the new payoff sent asap to the previous loan to remove this vehicle from my name. I called today and messaged and have received 0 responses. On 12/3/22, 32 points were docked against my credit. On 1/10/23, 16 points were docked against my credit. This is all because of my old car still under my name. I refuse to pay the additional costs added to the previous car loan due to the dealership's own doing. I need the payoff sent to *** asap for the amount stated above, and I need my credit to resolve with the removal of these points since I have not had the Nissan in my possession since 10/7/23. Attached is the document of when I traded it in and for what and the original payoff on that date. If you need text messages, I have plenty of those as well.
