I received an sms this morning stating that i have been handed over to VVM Attorneys due to late payments on my TV license and subsequently VVM activated a "TRACE LOCATOR" on my credit profile?
After numerous attempts to get in contact with VVM they informed me that i was making late payments on my account. From the day i took out my TV license (2007) to date i have never received any correspondence from the SABC to inform me of the alleged late payments not have i received a TV license card. VVM gave me my personal details which is on the SABC's database only to find out that they have the incorrect details on the system, info which i never supplied but not my credit rating and name has been tarnished and I am now being held responsible for a bill which was due to my own negligence!
This is totally unacceptable and the SABC and VVM just refuses to assist me in this matter and I don't know what else to do!
The service delivery of both companies are appalling to say the least!

VVM is a bunch of total incompetents. I have a similar dispute about a Phone account, which I cancelled some 20 years in the past. Despite having send affidavits and statements on numerous occasions, settling the matter, this outfit of Law abusers keeps on coming back asking for the same information again and again. It looks like they put a new person on the case who has no access to any previous correspondence. Now they have put a Trace Locator on my Credit profile.
I got exactly the same message on the same date for outstanding SABC licences addressed to Miss Z Forbay which I have no clue who that is. Unfortunately my return SMS answer to them is not printable here. The funny thing is both my wife and I receive the same SMS for the same person.

I fail to understand why out of million citizens who does not pay their TV licences, the SABC focus only on the loyal citizens. It is not our problem that they fail to curb corruption in the institution. They must keep their record straight and trace those who have not been paying their TV licences for years.

I have an issue with them as well - I have a debit order on my account for them and I received an sms from my back that it went off - this morning I get an sms form VVM to say I dishonored due to non payment and have incurred penalties - I HAVE TRIED PHONING but without success where can we complain as this is lies corrupt and they are tarnishing my name and that is against the law?!
