South African Broadcasting Corporation [SABC] tv licence still not canceled

Good day,

I would like to cancel my sabc tv licence ([protected]) and it seems that this has STILL not as yet been done to date despite all my attempts thus far. Please see my previous post dated 27 September 2017.

I am not being harassed by a new company called VVM Debt Collectors for the sum of R954.00 as at 29 September 2018. When will this madness end? This public post is a proof of the mal-practice of SABC TV Licence and that I am not liable for any errors on their part.

Kindly cancel immediately.

I have submitted ample proof that i have paid my tv license. The error is on sabc side not mine. The debt collection agency nudebt and their communication to the sabc is non-existant or they do not know how to communicate.
STOP harrassing me with mails to provide proof of payment I have spoken to a lady at the sabc Nhlalhla and she confirmed that my payment was wrongfiully allocated to the wrong number. Below is the email I received, than I paid the amount, and then you charge me again!

South African Broadcasting Corporation [SABC] account payment

Good day

I recieved an sms that I was handed over to MBD for not paying my tv license.

What I dont understand is that I do not recieve ANY form of statement from SABC what so ever. So I assume that I need to make payments a certain time every year. I did attach the proof so you can see that I did made payments.

The lady that I spoke to this morning from MBD that is handling this told me its penalties that was added and an admin fee. Why dont I recieve any statements regarding this.

This is not my fault its your fault not for sending statements. So please sort it out cause im not going to pay the penalties
or admin fee as its your fault.

You can speak to my wife Mrs. Monica Joubert as she is handling all our accounts.

I am having the same issue. I know I paid my TV license in September 2017 and have received no statement or any communication whatsoever since 2017 and suddenly now I receive an SMS saying I must pay R798.50. Ridiculous!

South African Broadcasting Corporation [SABC] payment of tv licence [protected]

On the 22 august 2018, I went onto the sabc website to pay my tv licence. I decided to use my credit card to make the payment. I put in my tv licence number, went straight to all my details and to your secure system and continued making my payment. When I pushed the the payment button on your website, it immediately went back to your home page.

A few days later, I received an sms saying that I had not paid my tv licence. I called customer support and melina asked me to e-mail her my proof of payment. Which I duly did. As I paid with my credit card, I can only send a bank statement which reflects the transaction where my account was debited. My bank is unable to give me proof of payment, as requested by alice mbense on her e-mail dated 19/9/2018, because the transaction occurred on your side. My bank is only able to give me a merchant number, which is [protected] and confirmed that the transaction had indeed gone through.

In the mean time, I am being threatened with penalties and of being handed over.
I have been a regular paying client for years and I have never experienced such inefficiency from the sabc. I am appalled at their lack of understanding and their inability to try and figure out where my payment has gone to. All they are concerned with is that they will charge me more if I do not pay my tv licence? Surely a simple check on their bank statement will sort all this out?

South African Broadcasting Corporation [SABC] I cancelled services

Please see the attached screenshots

Previously they had handed me over to MBD, when I finished paying them I requested for my tv license to be closed because I no longer have the tv which was stolen.

I sent the request for cancellation twice.
Dates 08/02/18 and 13/04/18.

This is indeed upsetting to find that my request was not done now they want to bad name me when they failed to do their jobs in Sabc tv license. I'm not liable for whatever funds are being made in arreas as I done my part.

They should remove my name from MBD and clear it, it's not acceptable .

South African Broadcasting Corporation [SABC] 7de laan

The episode that was just aired was shocking and very disturbing. Sabc 2 & 7de laan has taken it just too far. The content is "very dark", promotes disturbing moral values, promotes violent aggression with the purpose to hurt another human being to the point of near death all this whilst being a coward hiding behind masks and not having to take responsibility for deeds done as all was anonomous and gambling on one anothers annihilation without taking responsibility.
I feel nauseatious and very disturbed. Totally inappropriate viewing for family time.

i am absolutely sick and tired of complaining to sabc, nothing ever gets done.
its absolutely insipid that the premier league is been shown on tv and Rugby not even a test match is shown on tv . Bloody Paying tv license for nothing, we get hounded by ridiculous people for paying tv licenses ad then utter garbage like soccer is shown on tv wereby i fully feel its a waste of time ! they fall down cry wake up and cry again spend an entire 90 minutes crying and moaning and we are expected to watch crap like that soccer absolutely sucks! PROOF rsa never qualified for the world cup and in 2010 when they did, they got knocked out group stages making rsa the weakest. this is frustrating that i cannot watch a single match of rugby on tv yet everyone else gets the chance to watch a ridiculous sport like soccer, were they cannot even play to save their lives ! WE NEED RUGBY TO BE SHOWN ON TV ITS ABOUT TIME, The Blitzbokke constantly tears through and win their tours, the boks are 3 time world champions, Bafana probably will never see a soccer trophy ever again in their lives... what they hell kind of garbage is this ... SHOW US RUGBY

South African Broadcasting Corporation [SABC] hassled by mbd staff who just hang up on me!! refuse to give me details!!

I am being hassled by your TV company MDB attorneys I think or alternatively TV Licences? They call and before i can finish explaining my concern they hangup on me!
Herewith the Acc no: [protected] to pay R318.00.

Kindly advise what this is for and when this took place?

This is very important for me to sort out as I have not had a TV of my own in years. The last one i had on loan from a friend and took out DSTV for my husband who was very ill at the time. Thereafter my daughter took over my DSTV and subscription was renewed in her name, i cannot recall exactly when this was but approximately two years ago.
I will have to get this information from her.

Therefore I urge you to advise your " MDB RUDE STAFF NOT TO CONTACT ME AGAIN!"

South African Broadcasting Corporation [SABC] failure to resolve matter related to alleged tv licence arrears and harassment by nudebt

I have been struggling since August 2017 to provide proof that I have paid my TV licence: Acc no-[protected] for 2017 after receiving notice that I was handed over to MBD for being in arrears with my TV licence.

Since August 2017 to date I have communicated both telephonically and via email with the following people/companies in order to resolve this matter to no avail:

Ms M Gouws: Customer relations, SABC
Lesego from MBD
Ellein Lenka, Nudebt
tvlic.[protected]@sabc.co.za

None of the above could provide me with evidence of non-payment causing the arrears. I have submitted proof of payment from 2012 until 2018 without any feedback.

I find the lack of communication to deal with this matter unacceptable as well as the constant harassment by Nudebt sending me sms's and emails informing me of arrears.

South African Broadcasting Corporation [SABC] tv licence

hi there - I emigrated to the UK in April 2017 and informed the SABC. Unfortunately, I do not have proof of this email any longer due to my email account being hacked.
On my return to South Africa in April 2018 I received a demand for payment from the SABC debt collection company. I contacted them and emailed them sufficient proof that I have not been in the country for over 1 year and I received confirmation from them that they had closed their file an d handed the matter back to the SABC. Today I received a text message to say that I have now been handed over to another debt collection company, MBD.
I am exceptionally frustrated as I don't know how to get the SABC to write back the so called debt owed which isn't owed as I wasn't in the country nor do I currently own a TV.
How do I go about getting this issue resolved so that they stop the harassment?

South African Broadcasting Corporation [SABC] harassment by debt collectors for tv licence taken out by somebody else

I have been hounded/and harassed for years by debt collectors on behalf of SABC TV licence to pay an outstanding amount of a TV licence that was taken out by somebody using my wife's details.

I have responded too many times to mention with proof of our own TV licence to the SABC customer care dept as well as the Debt collectors. the reference/account number that is being referred to is [protected]. the current amount that they are trying to extort from me is R9094.30

They claim that a tv licence that was taken out by my wife was never paid and has since been accumulating every year. Every year about this time they harass me for this "outstanding tv licence money".

In 2014 i responded to one of their emails with a sworn affidavit from my wife as follows:

Good day

As requested, please find the Affidavit that my wife, Mrs M Cassiem, is in possession of our own SABC TV licence.

As you are aware, one only requires ONE licence per household. It would therefore be senseless to purchase another.

I have included on the attachment, proof of address and the current valid SABC TV licence.

Please amend your records to reflect the correct information.

We will forward the matter to the Ombudsman if the situation persists and you continue to harass this household with unfounded allegations of non-payment.

Please confirm receipt and resolution via email.

Today i received yet another demand for monies of a TV licence that i have no knowledge of. I have furnished them with my TV licence number which we have had for all the years and have been paying religiously (see attached pic)

I have many more such emails and correspondence where they request more information etc. I have even called their offices and have spoken to so many different individuals over the years who PROMISE at the time that they have resolved the issue and that they would not be pestering me again. Then lo and behold the next year this time, i receive another email with the same request for monies.

I would like for this harassment to stop as i spend hours and even days on this issue. This is a huge inconvenience for me not to mention the time wasted in responding to this nonsense.

Your assistance in this regard would be greatly appreciated.

South African Broadcasting Corporation [SABC] licence cancellation

I am trying to cancel my SABC tv licence as I do not own or plan on ever buying a TV again. I have sent numerous emails containing an affidavit and a letter from game stating that I have returned the TV, but they are not canceling my account. I have also called and they keep telling me that they are not receiving my emails, but they do not want to give me an alternate email address to send the documents to. I am not asking for a refund for the licence, only a cancellation of the licence.

South African Broadcasting Corporation [SABC] payments

Hi.i am being harassed by a debt collecting company on behalf of tv licence SABC.
I have paid my licence already last year in december.

I have mailed the harassment company 13 times already and mail the tv licence board wit h now positive reaction. I have phoned to debt collectors and tv lines numbers in Johannesburg to only get a arrogance from a telephone person.

Please I have paid my licence like a law abiding citizen although I do not watch tv. I officially donated my tv to a domestic worker and feel that the level of service and blatant harassment is to the point where I deserve an apology.

Can please someone send me a e-mail address that I can forward all my mails for lic and to debt collectors, where someone is going to read it, note it as paid and solve it.

South African Broadcasting Corporation [SABC] debt collection contractors nudebt

For far too long I have paid my TV Licence for a NON Service.
This I did in December 2017.

I have then been regularly contacted by a debt collection contractor Nudebt from Cape Town (wonder who has scored from this contract at SABC?)
They have added their "collection fees" on my pensioners' Fee of R74 to R150.00
An additional R76.00!
On calling SABC offices, I am advised that there are no "agents" available! They don't seem to be on their jobs or do their work! Certainly: do not record payments made!
Nudebt Collectors ask me to send "proof"of payment to them. I am perfectly willing to do this at a cost for my time & effort.
Based on their charges kindly, advise me who I should charge my R75 fee to, & when this will be paid or credited.

I am so utterly disappointing by SABC TV licence collection office. You have the most arrogant collections officers working for you guys and they are very rude and unprofessional.

My TV licence payments is behind as I heard for the first time via a collections call on the 3rd of July 2018. I have never received anything through the post as they say you send every year, I do not even have a postal address. And them to then have the audacity to insinuate that I am not truthful about this matter! I am really at the point of getting "Hallo Peter" involved to see that right will be done by me.

To whom ever is reading this, I hereby state: I will not pay any penalties which is R 26.00 a month as the operator explained to me on the 3rd of July 2018 on outstanding amounts up until this point / period because I never received any notifications about it. I will pay my outstanding TV licence fees only at the end of the month as I state to them daily over the phone (please go and listen to the recordings) so it is not necessary for them to phone me every day and start fighting and being rude to me.

I also gave them my email address [protected]@gmail.com yesterday 19/07/2018 to send me my account so that I have your banking details and my reference and the amounts I am going to pay. I have since not received any email from them. Why wont they email me my account? Is it to raise one more month's of R 26.00 penalty fee? Or is it just to be able to phone me again tomorrow to make me angry because they seem to enjoy it? Which ever way this is very unprofessional and the whole situation is becoming very personal to me because I am not treated right. This is starting to be borderline harassment. While speaking to you now my phone is ringing again and guess who is calling ... you're collections company (this will be the second time today in a time span of twenty minutes - and I spoke to them the first time and told them that I would pay my licence fees at the end of the month) ... that is it! I am contacting "Hallo Peter".

Please send me my account so that i can see what is going on on it and make my payment at the end of July 2018 just like any other South African citizen has the right to do.

South African Broadcasting Corporation [SABC] proof of payment k davids tv licence no [protected]

I karen davids paid my tv licence on 27 february 2018 via my banking app on my phone for the amount of R265. My records show i always pay my licence at post office. Due to me being bedridden i paid via my cell on 27 february 2018. I was handed over to vvm. I tried umpteen times emailing them my bank statement as proof of payment and called but to no avail. They need more details. I went back to my bank which is nedbank and they explained to me that they can only give me a bank statement with bank stamp proving i paid my tv licence. The problem is my ref no which is my tv licence no does not appear on my statement only tv licence. Im at my ends wit. I did pay and it shows on my bank statement but sabc vvm debt collection does not accept it as proof. I cannot get any other proof. Please help me.

Im updating my complaint. Im being harrassed by vvm as they claim i did not pay. I did pay r265 on 27 february 2018. I gave bank statement as i cant get any other proof as i did online banking payment.

My, mother, Mrs E I Vieira id no. [protected] received a call from someone at your offices saying she has not paid her tv licence and there is an amount of r125.00 due.

I went online and into the post office but both say : no account found.

Her id no. is [protected] old no. [protected]

South African Broadcasting Corporation [SABC] I am complaining about my tv licence payment : [protected]

On 30 March 2018 I paid R 265.00 for my TV licence via the online banking. I sent pop to [protected]@sabc.co.za &
tvlic. [protected]@sabc.co.za. Since then I never received any confirmation or acknowlement.

On 03 June 2018 I went to Game here in Cape town CBD to buy a television for my kinds, only to find out that my account is not active (N status).

I was told to pay R295.00 in order to purchase new TV, I paid R295.

Even today no one is explaining to me what is happening or what happened with my payments, the only thing that I'm is SMS payment remainder.

Please can you investigate this matter?

In 2016 i was working for a company Called Village chicken Restaurant in Limpopo, Mokopane, the owner went to buy a Flat screen Tv at Game and He did not have his ID book with him and he asked me if i had mine i said yes and he said lets use yours i will pay for the Tv licence he only paid once from there nothing
