Pharmacy
The Walgreens Pharmacy at Polo Club in Lexington Kentucky in extremely terrible right now. We have been customers there for 17 years and never had a problem until now. We first waited 10 minutes to get up to be waited on to get the prescription that was texted to us that it's ready only to let us know that it would be another 10 to 15 minutes, several hours since the text. We waited 12 minutes or so, got in line for another 10 minutes only to tell us it was going to be longer. The medicine is Humalog insulin. I'm a type 1 diabetic bet they had to remove my pancreas. The insulin is life or death for me. A week ago the only had 1 of 4 in stock and needed to order 3 more. Today I got the 2 of 4 vials. Not sure where the other 2 are and they seemed they are confused on what we have or have received of any of my medications.
Desired outcome: Please fix.

My doctor gave me a prescription for chronic pain. I am unable to walk without the pain medication. We are discussing back surgery to alleviate some of the pain but in the meantime, I have to take oxycodone. I originally went to the store on Oakland Park and University in Sunrise, Fl. They were closed for cleaning a couple of weeks ago and the service at...

We are having a hard time getting meds from Walgreens all because of their Central warehouse. What a joke!
When you go to pick it up they tell you it will come in the next day. Sometimes it does, sometimes not. My husband was out of his thyroid meds and they said they would be in on shipment today and they would call. They did not call and my husband went up and they called around to several other pharms and no one had any. They said it would be in tomorrow afternoon. Should I believe them. This will be the second dose he will miss in the morning. My Spiriva does not come in also. They told me to order it way in advance, like over a week. They usually do not have that either. On my hormone patches they try to pass off another brand for a lot of money. I don't order that brand and Mayo Clinic wants me to have the brand they want me to have. I have to refuse them and they either have to redo it or call another pharmacy.
What is going on?
Please respond. It's not the gals up at Walgreens that aee causing it. It is either the higher ups or the warehouse.
My suggestion, get rid of the warehouse all together and let's get back to the way things were...The right way, with no problems. Seems the warehouse just wants to send whatever they want to send or nothing at all.
Desired outcome: Get rid of central supply at the warehouse.
Prescription
Today 1/17/22, I called to check on pick-up time and the cost of my prescription as my doctor sent it over by fax at 11:40 a.m.
However, Walgreens phone lines are DEAD! Which probably means the fax from my doctor also did not go through. So you are supposed to leave your name and phone number so when the phone lines do go through they will call you. Does that make any sense?
I would THINK if your phone lines are down there would be an email to communicate with doctors and the customers so that you can receive your prescription in a timely manner. But no, Walgreens does not think outside of the box! So what would you do in an emergency? Just sit and wait in the Walgreen's Box, not doing anything to continue with business as normal!
Desired outcome: Wake up and think of other avenues to continue with business like an email.

I tried to call local Walgreen pharmacy and was on hold for 4 cycles of the recording then it rang 20 times before I hung up.
I will no longer use Walgreens or recommend. I am thankful that I noticed the wrong dosage and it was not a medication that could have put me in the hospital or killed me.

Customer Pharmacy Staff Complaint # [protected]
On Thursday, December 30, 2021, I placed a prescription refill order for pick up at Duane Reade/Walgreens, located at 1328 Second Avenue, store #1214.
When I arrived for the pick-up there was a note, which read.
"This Pharmacy is temporary closed until January 6, 2022.
We are re routing all proscriptions to
Duane Reade,
1352 First Avenue,
on the corner of 72nd and First Avenue.

we appologize for the inconvenience"
First, there is a misspelled word in this message.
I head to 1352 First Avenue, store# 14398, the time is 3:30pm. I state that I am there to pick up my proscription. It took me 10 minutes to explain to the girl that I requested refills from store# 1214 and there was a sign that stated the store was temporary closed and that would be able to pick-up my prescriptions at 1352 First Avenue.
She explained that there were no prescriptions re routed to their store. I told her that to put up a sign which indicates that the prescription was re-routed is an issue that you need to take up with store# 1214. To re-route a request would mean that the request has been rerouted and that you, store# 14398 is now responsible to have filled the requested. Re-routing the request would imply that the request was sent to store# 14398 and is being take care of. I was told that I would need to request prescriptions. She stated that she would request prescription refills and that I would need to wait 15 minutes.
This is the second time that I experienced this problem. Two other customers come into the store and are greeted with the same inadequate and condescending attitude. I requested to speak to a manager, however no manager responded to my request. I requested the contact information# for pharmacy complaints.
I called 1-800-WALGREENS. My call ref# is [protected]. I explained to the rep that I requested prescription refills and when I went to get them there was a sign that read:

"This Pharmacy is temporary closed until January 6, 2022.

While waiting at the pharmacy there is a line to the door, customers requesting refills and other customers are waiting for refills from store# 1214. A staff member from the back comes to the front area and announced that staff "should refrain from requesting that customer's wait for refills." I am in hear shot of his exchange with a co-worker. I ask him if he is the manager.
One staff member (gray haired older lady) was telling another staff member that "she does not get paid enough, " to deal with all of this. Another co-worker actual said to me that "I, " was the reason why there is a problem. I guess she was referring to the "waiting customers." It was her opinion that the "customer's that were asked to wait, " is the reason why there was a delay. I found that statement rather offending. The customers that were waiting were asked to wait, because of the note indication that the prescription refill request was "re-routed, " to store#14398. I got into a verbal confrontation with the staff member, in regarding to her comment that "this problem was my fault."
I waited from 3:35pm - 4:50pm.
Store# 14398, pharmacy has probably one of the worst "customer satisfaction." There is always a problem at this pharmacy. I do not think any of them realize that they do not have a monopoly on the services they provide. This is NYC, there is a pharmacy on every block. If do not want to assist the public, quit, get a job that does not require you to have any contact with the public/masses.
On some level I think that some of the staff members are ill equipped for the job, however that only any indication that the individual doing the hiring is ill equipped to select the appropriate staff for the appropriate position.
An example of the individual staff member that is truly ill equipped, a staff member that in my opinion might benefit from sensitive training is the staff member that accused me of being responsible for the delay, created by being ask to "wait." The staff member was overweight, middle age/senior, dark hair woman. She might be the woman who filled my prescription.
At about 4:50pm, I was called to pay for my purchase. My insurance is Aetna, Duane Reade/Walgreens is not my preferred pharmacy. I am only allowed a 30-day supply.
She or someone mess up on two of my prescriptions (Digoxin 0.125mg and Synthroid 0.05mg). I was able to catch the mistake, the two prescriptions were filled for a 90-day supply. I brought this to the attention of the check out staff and the Synthroid was corrected from a 90 supply to a 30 supply. The Digoxin 0.125mg was not corrected. She (person who filed the
Page#3
prescription, demeaning and blaming me, obviously was not paying attention and made the errors) was so busy finding fault with the customer's that were asked to wait.
I am not sure if the mistake was intentionally with forethought and malice. I had to wait an additional 10-15 minutes for this problem to be resolved. Even with the additional time I spent waiting for them to correct the prescription when I got home the Digoxin 0.125mg still had not been corrected.
I will make ever attempt to never request a refill from the Duane Reade/Walgreen pharmacy at 1352 First Avenue.
I work in the hospital and I know now why some patients have called and changed that pharmacy, siting problems with the pharmacy staff.
I do not believe that the staff should be placing blame on customers. The customers were directed to go to a pharmacy because there request for refills were "re-routed to another pharmacy". I do not understand., this is a Duane Reade/Walgreens Pharmacy problem, an internal problem, a problem that only can be solved with Duane Reade/Walgreen intervention.
Duane Reade/Walgreens store # 14398 and store# 1214, give all of you at Duane Reade/Walgreens a bad name and a bitter taste in my mouth.
Finally, I asked for a call back on my complaint# [protected], I have yet to here from anyone at
Duane Reade/Walgreens.
I guess this is just another example of the type of customer satisfaction one can expect from a Walgreen Pharmacy.

The Walgreens pharmacy never answers there phone. The message says there are 3 callers ahead is you. I called every day for a week, finally on the last day I just stayed on the phone….3 hrs later it was still saying there are 3 callers ahead of you. Lie, lie, lie.
I would rate Walgreens Pharmacy as a -10.

Getting a prescription
Walgreens sucks even worse than Walmart and that's saying something! I yet to have one of several medications get filled without there being a screw up trying to get it picked up. Then having to come back again to get it. Then when I get to the store the drive thru is closed and you have go inside and wait in a long [censored] line to find once again you have to come back. You suck!

Change from a purchase (coins)
3 times now I have gone to my Walgreens and after making a purchase they say they don't have any change. Then they offer to put your change on a card for spending next time you are in. I am absolutely sure that this problem is coming from management to maximize profits from Walgreen's pharmacy store # 6666 in Prescott Valley Arizona. This just started about 3 weeks ago. Not only with me but also my wife's medication. We both have not requested the pharmacy to refill a prescription. The pharmacy is requesting prescription refills to our primary care doctors without contacting us. Then when we arrive at the pharmacy to pick up one prescription and one prescription only that we have requested they add in many more refills upon our arrival. How is this possible. When you arrive they ask your name, date of birth, and your current address. When this is completed you hand them your credit card and they add all of these other prescriptions on to your credit card. All of this is done without your knowledge you are getting all of these extra meds. This has to stop.
Desired outcome: Only fill prescriptions when the customer requests the pharmacy to refill them.

I went in to get a tetanus shot and people were lining up with their kids to get the covid shot.
I know everyone has their opinion about all the vaccines, but it has been proven that these vaccines are doing more harm then good. shot. My Complaint is that Walgreens has no second thought, no remorse, dies not care that they are killing children and people with this bio weapon.
Desired outcome: Stop killing people

I had. Prescription called into the above Walgreens yesterday at about 2:30 pm. I call an hour or so later to make sure they received it, they said yes, but it wasn't ready to be picked up. I said, I'd check back later. Later, it still wasn't ready, I said I'll be down tomorrow, meaning today to pick it up. I went there today at 12:30 pm, they said it...

Dropped off a prescription at 5:00 PM on 12/29/2021 at the drive thru, Attendent said it should be ready after 7:00PM. I told him I would pick it up tomorrow (12/30/2021). Went into the pharmacy at 6:15 PM on 12/30/2021 to pick up the prescription, waited over ten minutes at the counter while they tried to find it. They had not even filled the prescription or even started on it. I asked what was the hold up and said they had insurance problems. This is not the first time my wife's prescriptions have been filled here. If this behavior continues, I will file a complaint with the BBB, and then take our business else ware.
