Pharmacy
Where do I start.? I recently switched from Smith's pharmacy to Walgreens pharmacy located at 1408 Craig Rd. in North Las Vegas. Smiths were awesome but no longer accepted Excellus BCBS so I had to find another pharmacy. Customer service at Walgreens has been an absolute nightmare. Any calls made to the pharmacy are met with an impolite please hold and I am...
Read full review of WalgreensCovid vaccination Pfizer not available
Hi, I went to the Santa Cruz CA store (40 miles round trip) with my 16 year old today and was told after waiting for an hour in the line that "sorry we don't have any Pfizer now and because she is 16 she can't have the J&J we currently have!"
You need to change your online booking system to have a checkmark for 16-18 year olds which only lists pharmacies that have the Pfizer vaccine as now we have to start again making more booking and yet again I am not going to know which pharmacy has it when I do manage to get another slot.
Beyond disappointed! My husband and I both used Walgreens for ours and were told by the nurse that Pfizer was the only one they did (but that was the Seaside CA site)
Desired outcome: Get a checkbox for 16-18 year olds on your booking site so it only corresponds to pharmacies that have Pfizer!!!
Covid vaccine schedule online appointment
I scheduled a covid vaccine appointment online at the Walgreens 107 high st Danvers MA. The appointment was for April 6, 2021 at 11;25 am. The appointment was scheduled a week in advance of that date. On the day before the appointment I called the pharmacy to confirm the appointment because I did not get an email or text (text is what I asked for) on the...

I am extremely disappointed in Walgreens. My history is as follows: K & B Drug Stores until Rite Aid bought them out. Then Walgreens bought Rite Aid out. I was satisfied with their service until I recently received several notices that my prescriptions had been renewed and were ready for pickup. I had not ordered any refills and responded to the emails to that effect. I continued to receive notices that my refills were ready.
Since the refills were past expiration, I went to the store and found that they had called my doctor and got approval for 3 medications for another year, refilled them and charged my insurance. Since there was no copay, I accepted them only to find out that I don't even used one of the medications any more.
I have never been on auto refill and I certainly did not approve for them to call my doctor. I was actually ready to move my prescriptions to a local pharmacy that is owned by a friend.
This was an action that is unacceptable and I will inform my doctor regarding this inappropriate practice. I will never use Walgreen's for prescriptions again and I will inform my friends as well.
Pharmacy
I am allergic to penicillin. I do not get a rash from it type reaction, I go into anaphylaxis. I told this to my Dr who prescribed me a presciption that was 3rd generation penicillin. I went to my local Walgreens.
Backstory is I never get sick. I go to this pharmacy as many times as my healthy 4 year old gets sick like a kid does once in awhile. Never had an issue till the pharmacist hands me the prescribtion and says something like, "Now if you get a rash from this 3rd generation penicillin" I stoped him there and said "I do not get a rash from penicillin, I get very sick, I go into anaphylaxis sock" Well he hands it to me like it should not be a problem. Lo and behold 15 min after taking it I throw up and get super ligh headed as my blood pressure drops. Yes I called and complained right then and there with my symptoms. When I went in later that day the pharmacist handed me a new prescibtion & did not have the time of day to hear out my concern with my newly prescribed antibiotic that is again related to but again removed from penicillin. I am a Biology student and a current working healthcare professional. My appetite is curbed off of this new prescribtion & I feel nasueas. Who can I talk to too at Walgreens about this? Anyone care? Again as a Bilogy student I find Walgreens and North Memorial to be completly incompetent.

Pharmacy - erratic behavior and non adherence to LEGAL POLICIES RE med refills
This is regarding the Walgreens on 86th street and Bay 40th Street in Brooklyn, NY. I Have unhappily used this pharmacy since the kings highway Walgreens closed last year. Aside from endless wait times no matter when I call, this pharmacy has now slipped into a very dark place. I have never made a formal complaint about ANY establishment. This warrants at least that, and maybe more. I have multiple medical problems and am also an RN. The pharmacy techs and pharmacists cannot get a story straight on a "sudden new policy" regarding rx deliveries. After a hard line that ALL SCRIPTS MUST BE IN THE DELIVERY BIn the night before ...NOW I was told if I called before 10am tomorrow they would put 2 SCRIPTS through. Leary of this I spoke to the pharmacist who I dealt with earlier this week about delivery who told me about the new phantom hard line which caused me 48 hrs without my Lyrica. I have nerve pain after a fall involving 20 plus broken bones - not a joke. Now her hard line involved the DATE of delivery of two meds I've been on, one for a decade, one since the 1980's, controlled and NEVER more or less the prescribed amt. I was asking for delivery 2 days in advance, 3 if possible, as I am traveling for HOLY WEEK and was even willing to pay out of pocket if necessary if the timing was a day too soon. Never asked before. She insisted (incorrectly) that the LAW is "one day"..an arbitrary number she made up, bringing me to Good Friday (one day ahead of when I received these in march., ) ---she even went so far (for her one day rule) that I "take the script with me" (I ignored the flub that we have not used paper SCRIPTS in YEARS...) --as if a little pharmacy in VT was going to check when I last filled klonopin and hold that script til exactly the second of April...) - All of this arbitrary nonsense from a pharmacist who is treating this Rn who has spent her life caring for the sick like a junkie is so disturbing and ONE ACT of power play unkindness leads to altered plans ...why? Is there no recourse? From what I've read, many are tired of the hand slapping, arbitrary policies of Walgreens, where they are ALWAYS caught when the right hand doesn't tell the left what it's doing. If the corporation is going to be meanspirited and biased, it needs to be consistent. It's slip is showing. I will be looking for a pharmacy that tends to my need for emotional support after a bad bout of covid in January, as well as my other needs. Thanks for listening.
Desired outcome: Change in arbitrary, punitive policies re. Deliveries, DATE of Refill (regardless of insurance, if pt. Will pay OOP.
Store cleanliness, poor management
store 4315 6th Ave Tacoma, WA Filthy store. Store front is always filthy. Last month I contacted Management twice for garbage in front. First day I even explained.. your store is open at 6:00 a.m. here it is 11:30 a.m. and I'm showing you a picture of what's outside your storefront and no one has cleaned it up in five and a half hours of being open. Three visites to pick up a
Called in prescription and the told me to come back in 45 minutes..
They called and said the medicine was ready and when I get there it's some other excuse.
They were so rude and busy answering the phone for other customers that I couldn't understand what was taking so long. When they finally prepared the medication it was 2.26 cents...they are absolutely the worst service and attitude I have ever dealt with. Good bye Walgreens I'm going elsewhere.
Desired outcome: Get their act together and not be used for Covid vaccines. They are not dependable!
Prescription discount card
Hi why do you have a card that does nothing??? I tried to use it for my prescriptions and the pharmacist didn't do anything?? Is this card just for show? Or what? Either have a discount card we can use for our prescriptions or don't have it at all. I drove 20 miles thinking I would have a discount and nothing was subtracted. So what's the point???
Read full review of WalgreensTreatment of a senior
I was at Walgreens 500 Geary. A senior woman collapsed on the floor attempting to take medication. The Walgreens staff wasn't concerned that she was having a medical emergency. They were just concerned that someone could trip over her. No staff was assessing if she had a medical emergency. They appeared only concerned with getting her to her feet and out of the store. Non of the staff in that store has any training in human relations.
Desired outcome: Treat customers with respect and concern
Disability mistreatment
On March 19th I was scheduled to work 4 to 10p with another coworker named Linda Izaguirre who's worked there a few months longer than I have. I typically try to take my break in the middle of my shift around 6 to 7p, so I ask about taking my break around 630 when Linda would be done counting the tills. She says this is fine, then 630 comes around and I ask...

I had my first vaccine on Feb.23, 2021. I had the Moderna vaccine. Next one due on March 23 at Walgreens, Military Highway, Pineville, LA. The girl I talked to told me, "We have no more COVID-19 doses". I asked why...
Read full review of WalgreensPatient at pharmacy
Hi I'm an employee, I am a pharmacy technician and we have a really disrespectful, out of line patient that harasses the pharmacists and techs and manipulates them to do whatever she wants. She's cursed at us all, calls floaters [censored], forced one of my coworkers to hold products for her during pandemic and all have succumbed to her to avoid a bad review. I am sorry but I cannot take it anymore and her abusive behavior all because she wants what she wants and of course don't forget her controlled substances because if she does not get them she causes a show and does not stop calling the pharmacy. She is also a compulsive liar, distorts information from one staff member to the next and exceeds you to break store policy just for her. I am in store #3854 in Miami fl. Please get rid of this woman, as a company you can do better for your employees who literally kill themselves everyday under staffed to bring good customer service. Being under appreciated and over worked and treated unfairly takes a toll on the health of each employee if you care about them, the ones who bring you money, you would take care of problems like this.
Pharmacy Support
I am positive for Covid 19. Today, March 17, 2021; my doctor gave me a prescription. I tried calling the Portland, CT Walgreens at 1:15 to ask if there is a procedure available for me to do curbside pickup to get my meds. I was on hold for 15 minutes and then at 1:30, I heard someone answer and they hung up on me. I understand that everyone is entitled to lunch, but given that almost everyone on hold is sick and trying to get medicine, this is extremely rude.
I called back at 3:00pm and was on hold for another 15 minutes and finally, a woman answered the phone, didn't say hello, just said "Walgreens, Please hold" and put me back on hold. I was on hold for 15-20 more minutes before I was disconnected again!
I am very seriously sick and trying to get the medication I need to get well.
Instead of receiving the support that one would expect, I received passive aggressive behavior from your staff leaving me on "Hold Hell" and when I refused to hang up, they hung up on me again. Is this the type of service that Walgreens is committed to?
Desired outcome: I want an apology from the woman at Portland, CT Walgreens pharmacy who did this to me.
Vaccines
I'm 58 years of age with underlying medical conditions I received a text on my cell for my first shot of vaccine once I get there I was told I cannot get it because I need to be 60 years old or older even though in New York state says 64 or younger can get the vaccine with proper document their answer to me was unfortunately with a dumb smirk the manager...
Read full review of WalgreensPharmacy withholding pain med
I have a medical condition that causes me to be in chronic pain. I have taken my pain medication responsibly for many years.
For the past several months, The pharmacist at the Walgreens I use at 71st and Lewis in Tulsa Oklahoma has held my prescription hostage until the day after it's due to be filled.
When I have pain flares, My doctor will order my medication a few days early. But the pharmacist will not fill it. I have had a difficult month and needed to use a few more of my pain medication than usual. Today I went to lick up my prescription only to be told to come back on 8:30 am. I'd like to wish my pain on the pharmacist who is withholding my medication, but perhaps that's a bit too harsh. As harsh as withholding pain medication that has been ordered by a physician for a patient. I am furious and will be changing all of my prescriptions from Walgreens to CVS if this doesn't change immediately . I feel as if I have been manipulated and shamed by this pharmacist.
