I can't contact this company to stop this and the only reason I figured this out is because it made my account balance over limit. I am careful usually and I don't even use this card anymore because the interest is ridiculous. Has anyone out there figured out how to contact them and set them straight?

What kind of products have people out there ordered before they discovered that this company started showing up on their credit card statement? I know myself I ordered Lens Dr the liquid eyeglass repair stuff that you fix horrible scratches so you don't have to buy another pair of glasses. Since figuring this out I have probably spent that much because I didn't notice these charges until now. They are charging me 16.95 and have been since Feb. at least. I am so mad it is ruining my mother's day with my mom. She is sitting in the other room while I try and figure out how I can fix this problem but because it being Sunday no one is answering any phones even my credit card company. So I guess I will have to wait until tomorrow to flip out all over again.

DO NOT LET THIS COMPANY SCAM YOU

If you order something just order that product when they ask you if you want this and that say no. No special speedy delivery or anything besides the product at least that is how I think I got this charge on my account. Who knows I will never order anything online again.

Which stinks because I don't drive and this comes in handy occasionally.

Thanks for listening,
Kim

I just got this value thing in the mail yesterday and I left it on the table. My husband picked it up and asked about it, so I put the address in the computer and came to this. I called [protected] and got it cancelled before I was ever charged thanks to my nosy husband. I am so glad I came across this board first.

Sorry to all who didn't catch this in time

Kim

YES, I KNOW HOW TO FIX IT! AT LEAST I KNOW HOW MY PARENTS FIXED IT! My parents had the same deal with WalMart.

Some 3rd party vendor (connected with Walmart somehow) charged my parents $140 a month for some strange service they never asked for. My parents got a Pre-Paid Legal Plan membership and OH MY GOSSSSSH! They put an end to the nonsense.

So cheap I got one, too, as a doctor's office was doing procedures on me on routine office visits that I thought were regular. They WEREN'T! I got a bill for $31,000! Insurance gradually covered some, but then stopped and suddenly the doctors were harassing me for $7000. I got Pre-Paid Legal membership, too, and they got the $7000 deleted within a WEEK!

Please e-mail me at a22455@gmail.com

I've had a 19.95 charge from these people attached to my account for some time. I'm almost certain this is attached to a file-sharing client, UseNeXT. I thought I cancelled the subscription, but turns out this third agent WC VALUE PLUS didn't get the message. I'm going to try the number and come back here with an update!

I just called today 9/20/07, to ask about this value plus, [protected]) they told me it was somekind of discount and that they would refund my $16.95. I have no idea what they were talking about and how in the world they got ahold of my bank account. They have been taking money from my bank for 3 months, I was blaiming my kids and it turned out it was a scam.

Hi. I had the same problem. For over a year they were taking this money out of my account, twice a month. Once for Value PLus and once for Explore USA. I called the number that my online banking showed next to the deduction [protected] ), and I got through to someone. She advised me that we must have ordered something over the TV, and that is how we got signed up. She said she would send me a refund request. She did! I sent it back to them certified mail, and before I even got the receipt back from the post office, I got an email saying that they were refunding my money. They said it sometimes takes two billing cycles to get back on my credit card, but since they had my bank card, it was back in within 24 hrs. This seems to be some kind of online discount service. Just be aware of what is going on when you order things off the TV. Make sure to tell the person on the phone you don't want any other things except what you are calling to buy. I hope this helps!

These ### called me on my cell phone and offered me a $40 dollar gas card. When I called to retrieve the gas card they stated they would send it. I then asked that they cancell out a membership that I never agreed to on 9/26/2007. Now my account has been charged 19.95 on 10/1/2007. I have cancelled my bankcard, notified the bank requesting an investigation for fraudulent charges and requested to be refunded my money. Be careful to everyone who happens to become victims of these [censored]es.

I also had the same problem you have to report what happened to consumer rights wc value plus. Todays escapes and hcpgold (healthcare privileges) get aceess to your card number illegally even though they may tell you that merchants share personal information, that is true but they cannot share card numbers only names address and phone number... so u need to call this number to make a complain (if there are enough complaints to these people they will investigate and take legal action against them) [protected] their website is www.fdic.gov/index.html... u should also cancel these subscriptions the number for wc value plus is [protected]... please make complains to this phone line cause they say they get the card numbers legally and that if they were doing something illegal they would be out of business. So please make the complain against them!

I called the phone number and was hung up on 5 times. I went to the website listed to sign up for my free$25.00 gift card and found this complaint board. I don't want to pay for this because it is for sure a scam. I called the H2O mop number and complained about this scam but I do like the mop. The person I talked to suggested I try just www.valueplus.com That was a good idea. I found 3 web sites for Valueplus (login, contact, and terms & conditions) 2 sites required a password. On the terms and conditions site I found information about canceling the trial /perm account. It sent me to www.programstop.com I selected the program stop form and completed it. I hope it works. It's worth a try.

This company is sharing credit card information they receive for legitimate transactions. My wife was suckered into agreeing to pay shipping and handling for a couple of "free" books she ordered from an infomercial about natural cures. Mysteriously, our bank account information was used 17 days later to begin a "trial" membership we never authorized, and our account was tapped a 2nd time for $1.00, and we didn't even notice. Thirty days later, a second unauthorized transaction showed up on our account. This time for a more aggressive amount of $19.95. They even provided an 800 number with the description. I called to cancel, and realized it is all a big scam. Be careful. I am following up with a complaint to the Minnesota Attorney General's office, and would recommend that everyone do the same. The website is as follows: http://www.ag.state.mn.us/Consumer/Complaint.asp and the toll free number is [protected].

Good luck to all of you caught up in this scam.

I just went to the website to claim my gift card and got here. I then went to this website and went to FAQ. The last question took me to an email where I canceled my so called "membership" Good luck to me and all of you. BTW, I never authorized anyone to "sign me up". EVER! As I've had this same thing happen before with months charged without me knowing. "WE" really need to pay attention to things like this!

No telling how many of us don't check every month because it's such a minimal amount. But that adds up to LOTS over time.

These Value plus marketers have some nerve! One woman yelled at me and called me stupid for turning down the gas vouchers...

They must have called me 20 times at least in a week, always at a bad time, and when I tried to tell them I wasn't interested, they wouldn't let me get a word in.
They just kept cramming savings programs and offers in my ear, and the more I got upset and told them to stop calling, they would start saying they were going to charge my credit card with all these trials...
ARE YOU FUNKING SERIOUS! How did you get my number?
Then it was like I was afraid to hang up without making sure they understood I didn't authorize any charges, and the one woman kept talking so fast, I honestly didn't know what was going on...
Pure evil. I don't usually let tele-marketers get to me, but I HATE these people, and the company they work for.

Value+ has honestly raped my ear canal with their persistent, harrassing, relentless attempts at getting my money, while making me afraid to purchase anything online again.

Yeap! I was also scammed. I had called in past to cancel my account, and they did, but suddenly I was still getting charged for 5 months now. I just called there and the lady there told me she was cancelling my account, and I got confirmation number. I never got an email from them though like she stated she was going to do. She also told me I could get a refund, but filling out the form she was going to send by mail.

I received several calls within the last 2 weeks from [protected], I finally answered. The guy spoke super fast, I said "what?"... he transferred me, then a girl spoke even faster. I told her to repeat that, she said they were offering 40 gas for free, I said I wasn't interested. She said she could send me more info, she had my address already. I agreed to more info being sent-nothing else. Then she said for me to push in my birthday to verify it was me. I put a random number in a said ok I have to go. She said ok, I will mail out a packet with some info. 3 days later, 2 seperate charges for $1.00 have shown up on my bank account. I never gave them any info, I just pushed a button on my phone. The charge came from [protected] WC Value Plus. It is a scam, I'm guessing they have many numbers but all the same scam. Beware!

Have called the number [protected] three times. Two times I was told they would send me a letter so I could get a refund. Never received. I called today and was told (1) I canceled the account before the term was up and I was not due a refund. I demanded to speak with a supervisor - Jesse came on and indicated they are the company that cancels accounts but cannot give me information about who provided them with my information. He told me to go online to Value Plus and seek out information and try to contact them. They owe me 169.95 and I am furious. I order a couple of things by phone but I positively never approve any "plans" such as this. I am contacting the Attorney General of Montanta and reporting this Mktg. Services [protected]). Since this is the number shown on my bank statement for every withdrawal they must have information for whom they are withdrawing although they deny it. I figure the Attorney General's office is a good place to start.

I work for customer services for these discount clubs. If you call us we will help you. We handle cancellations and refunds only. If you ask for a refund you will get it. You may have to fill out paperwork if the charge has been going on longer than two months but they do refund the money. The discount clubs are not a scam. You may not realize at the time that you are enrolling in a membership but we do make it right. I have had many conversations with pleasant people and actually enjoyed the conversations. Please, be nice to the rep who answers the phone and they will treat you with respect, please treat us with respect. We are there to help you, not hurt you!

Last year, I noticed on my bank statement that WC* Value Plus had been taking out 16.95 a month for no reason for about 8 months. I called the number on my statement, and all they would do is ask if I wanted to cancel my membership. Membership to what?!? I exchanged a few words with this girl who wouldn't answer any of my questions. I then called my bank, Wachovia, who said they would reimburse me the charges, which I was thankful for. But what shocked the hell out of me was that Wachovia knows who this company is, and have gotten many complaints from customers about this, and in return have done ABSOLUTELY NOTHING ABOUT IT! I still have no clue how WC* Value Plus got my account information. They said I ordered electronics online and gave them my number. I have never ordered electronics online!

TOTAL RIPOFF! They called me at work while I was on my break! Pressured as most of have been & I wanting the $40.00 gas card, I agreed to let them send me the information! Now, my account has been drafted twice that I'm aware of. Called the # provided [protected], after three attempts of "our computers are down, call back in 30 min. "... I finally got through. Informed them I will be contacting the Attorney General and demanded a refund . Was told my "membership" was cancelled & I would be reimbursed. It's after business hours now, but tomorrow I will look further into this SCAM!

WC Value Plus has been taking 16.95 per month out of my account without my concent. I called them to find out who thye were, and they advised that I had signed up when I had bought something online, and that I accepted it without knowing the terms... Kinda DOH. They say that they are a complany that offers dinning, hotel, and airline discounts... I would never sign for something like that. I work for a major airline, and I already have all of that. I never signed up for this, and never would. This started in Aug 07, and finally found out what it was.

Is now January 14, 2008. Same charges Wc *Essntl For Home-v [protected] Mn and Wc *Value Plus-v [protected] Mn. Both on my WAMU Visa. The source is unknown; however, the only on-line purchase I've made where both my CC # and e-mail were used was purchase of "The Grabber" tool. I've called "Membership Services" and same ol' song; I will cancel your membership and cancel your membership immediately. The rep could tell me nothing g else regarding the charges (he could see both which is fishy anyway) and to allow 2-3 billing cycles. Three months, no way. I wrote and called WAMU right away.

Just revieved my statements over the past few months. WC have been taking $16.95/mo since August. Realized it was when we ordered a remote helicopter from HAVOC HELI, a recordidng asked a bunch of questions, which we clicked NO, NO, NO.
I can't get an answer from any of the numbers listed on your site, or the WC or Havoc ones. Any ideas welcome.

This company fraudulently took money from my account, and thankfully I noticed it immediately. I specifically told the salesman "no." The way to get your money back is to write a letter to the company notifying them of your complaint, your desire to cancel & demand your money back - send it certified mail. Send it to the company responsible for WC Value Plus:

Provell
1100 Wayzata Blvd
Suite 680
Minneapolis, MN 55305

Also send a copy of the letter to the Better Business Bureau of Minnesota & North Dakota [protected]). Their address is:

2706 Gannon Rd
Saint Paul, MN 55116

The director of consumer affairs at Provell/WC Value Plus is Michael J. Murphy. He will probably send a letter back saying that you placed an order & provided "electronic signature authorization" (which is a lie), but they will refund your money.

You can also send a copy of your complaint to the Federal Trade Commission at:

https://rn.ftc.gov/pls/dod/wsolcq$.startup

The FTC cannot get your money back, so it is still important to send letters to Provell & the BBB. But the FTC needs to be notified about these fraudulent business practices.

I caught the charges early. When I called they said that I am still within the trial period. I called both [protected] and [protected] to cancel my account. Hopefully one of these gets it right and I am not charged again. Both said they would send me a confirmation e-mail. I just got off the phone with them.

Both numbers asked me to verify my last name and zip code. The first number asked my to verify my first name and address. The second number read the information back to me and asked if it was correct.

We'll see what happens. I will definitely post a follow up.

As with all the other complaints, I am adding mine. Of course I could not access this company's alleged website, www.valueplusonline.com/open/form/40. I then called 1.800.475.1942 (# if you don't have internet access), and s/w "Gina." Gina pulled up my information and said that she sees me as being a 'trial member' ( I have since discontinued my membership). Since she had no answers for the problems with the website, I asked for a supervisor (3/14/2008 @ 4:50 PM EST) and spoke with a man who called himself Elias, Agent # 60948. I told him that there were innumerable consumer complaints against his company and that the website was bogus. He responded that this was the CANCELLATION DESK and that sometimes they have problems with the website. He said that he would gladly send me a FORM and that once received, I should go on the website (here we go again), and I could get the rebate, which works by sending in receipts for gas and then getting reimbursed on a 2 month cycle. He informed me that his company's address is Value Plus, Membership Services, PO Box 5265, Hopkins, MN 55343.

Bottom line is that all of us obviously CANCELED the service and as such, this company believes it can abrogate its advertising guarantees of getting a gift card for just trying the service. Nonsense!

I am a retired Det. Sgt. in New York and a present insurance company fraud investigator. I will start with a complaint to the Attorney General of MN and work my way forward to the Postal Inspection Service.
