We recently visited the Wendy’s at 10004 S Main St in Archdale NC. We typically stop there on the way home from visiting family as it is our halfway point and some what of a tradition me and my husband have made. When we arrived at the Wendy’s they were not what most would consider busy as there was one family sitting in the dining area and the drive thru didn’t have much of a line. We had to wait a while before our order was taken and it was taken by I presume to be the manager she took our order and payment but didn’t had us a receipt but let if on the printer. After a while other families that had ordered before us said they were still waiting on their order that they had 25 minutes ago. The manager kept coming back over as we were all hovering at the counter to inquire about our orders. She seemed to have no remembrance of us ordering and kept asking all what they had ordered. After 5 minutes another young lady asked that she was instructed by manager to ask what we ordered and once we all repeated once again she said well do you have a receipt I said the receipts were still laying right in the receipt printer. She rolled her eyes and handed me my receipt. We kept going through this process it seemed over and over. The manager then decided to catch an attitude with all of us stating “let me tell you all what is going on and how she didn’t appreciate us yelling and cussing making her employees cry and that the reason for all the delay was that they were short staffed” she then proceeded once more to ask everyone what they had ordered. All of us around the counter looked at each wondering who had cursed at anyone because we were all just complying with their request but it is nerve racking to repeatedly be asked what we ordered over and over. When the manager asked me for the 5 time I handed her my receipt and stated if that would help her to keep it. She took the receipt and we then received our order 10minutes later. Once we received our order it wasn’t correct and she reached in the back and removed the wrong items. No ice in the drink fountain for dining room and bathrooms that were of complete disgust without toilet paper and towels. I never file a complaint but felt so upset by my experience here today and that the other customers also felt. If they were so short staffed they should not have been open.
