Western Express unethical behavior from lakiesha griffin

I called Western at 615-259-9920 on 2/25/19 to do an employment verification. Lakiesha Griffin refused to do a phone verification but gave me the DOT Rule 40. cfr part 40 for why I need I need an employee consistent. I read the code with her on the phone and explained I didn't want the drug testing info, all I want to know is if they were employed there, when? Why did they leave? She told me I was lazy and why would I not want to know the drug testing info? Her unethical behavior was too much. If a company wants simply information from the past employer we as other companies should not be subjected to this kind of scrawny. The code did not employ to want I was looking for. She refused to do her job of verify, she told me she had a job to do, I then replied your in verification i'm your job, you need to help me, when I asked her to explain the law she through at me, she was not able to but kept attacking, was very rude. Never did get my verification., I have called western in the past for verification and I had no issues getting them by phone.

Western Express driving

February 21, 2019
2:52 p.m.
Today on Highway 30 in Reliance, TN, a trucker was not driving in his lane of traffic. Highway 30 is just like highway 129. A semi truck should not travel this road. I had to back up to keep from this driver hitting me. I want to complain so these truckers will not come this way anymore! This road is not a good short cut!

Western Express western express trucks parking in private parking lot

(complaint no. [protected]) western union trucks are daily parking in private lot, concrete has been crushed and ruined, requiring me to repair my parking lot, and inconveniencing my customers. Costing more money than the initial invoice cost. I have spoke with them and have ran many of them off. (sum where very disrespectful). Again this has cost me far more than the minimum repair that i could only afford to do. The loads are way to heavy for a non commercial lot. This situation is a recurring problem and the lot has not been completely repaired. Because i cannot afford to invest the money that the lot needs for all the damages. Pls call [protected] milton williams(operator)

Western Express inept driver

Truck #201128 in the Mayfield Heights, OH Costco parking lot on 11/01/18 nearly hit my car. They were making a left turn on a busy 4-way intersection, while I was stopped about 30 feet behind stop sign expecting a wide turn. Driver made the left turn fairly quickly, and I quickly realized they were going to hit me with their trailer. I laid on the horn for a second or two before the truck stopped within a foot of my car. Then the driver had the nerve to honk at me for his/her lack of awareness.

Western Express claim #68918

On September 11th, 2018 In Gaffney SC, A western Express Unit pulled into a pilot parking lot and struck our legally parked unit while the driver was sleeping. We submitted everything to our insurance company, and have been given a claim number through western express#68918 Marsha Campbell. I have continuously emailed and called her to ask some questions concerning the claim, and we get no response. Progressive has handles the claim for us, thankfully, but we have out of pocket expenses, as the unit was not drive-able and under load. We had to fly the driver home and return him, in one of our other units, and the cargo delivery was four days late, with a fine. Please have someone contact me, as Marsha will not even acknowledge my phone calls or that i sent her any documentation. I can be reached at [protected]. There may be simple answers or solutions, IF I could get a response. It will not allow me to upload the out of pocket expense invoice and receipts.

Western Express dangerous driving

A Western Express Semi truck (Cab # 3595, trailer plate # Tennessee UT44692) was seen driving dangerously in traffic on I-295 south in Maine on October 11, 2018 around 8 am. The truck changed lanes at least twice and caused cars to swerve and brake to avoid collision. Luckily no accidents happened although I would expect it will be just a matter of time for this truck driver...

Western Express truck driver

We were driving on 95 in Rhode island in the left lane. A truck driver changed lanes into us. We were just behind the cab, but not in his blind spot. We had to slam on the brakes and blow the horn to let him know we were there and to avoid being pushed into the guard rail. The truck driver did not try to return to his lane to try to avoid an accident even after we were blowing the horn. I have a picture of the truck and plate. The truck number is 280115. Mistakes happen. But if this not his first time we wanted to inform you of his driving.

Western Express unsafe driver in virginia

While traveling East on Interstate I-64 to North 295 I observed an elderly man in his early 70s holding a cell phone weaving from side to side in the lane while also staring at some navigation type screen on the dash. He was Not watching the road. The truck nimber was 29475.

I called the dispatch number to file a complaint but my guess is they ignored my concerns as the truck continue on despite the fact I was told the truck would be contacted and asked to pull over for a safety briefing over the phone.

Western Express driver

On Thursday, Sept 13 at 5pm, I was waiting to merge on Briley Pkwy, from Centennial Blvd in Nashville. I work for a trucking company just down the street from Western and am very familiar with trucks. There was a Western truck in the next lane, no turn signal, no sign of trying to get off until he started into my lane. I could see his face in his side view mirror (passenger side), which means he could see me as well IF he had checked his mirrors before attempting to change lanes. I had to floor it to get ahead of him so he didn't hit me and he proceeded to blow his horn repeatedly at me! I guess he would have preferred me to keep my place in my lane so he could hit me? His tractor number is 4935 and I expect appropriate action to be taken toward this extremely inept driver. A response would be much appreciated.

Western Express reckless truck driver

Driver of truck 290179 was reckless on a Nashville highway in August 31, 2018 around 7:58am. The truck driver merged into the left lane causing the two cars that were next to him to swerve, almost hitting the highway barrier. Traffic was almost at a stand still when this happened so the driver was highly aware of the cars that were next to him. I honked the horn hoping he would stop, but he just kept on merging. If the people in the cars hadn't been paying attention they definitely would've been hit. I'm not sure how the insurance process works with this company, but there would've been a lot of damages caused by this driver and I'm sure there could've been a lawsuit. Something needs to be done about this driver and his carelessness for highway safety. I'm going to keep the picture I took of his truck for my records and will file a report with the county police if needed.

Western Express drivers don't know how to drive.

I live on rte 146 in New portland Maine. In one. Week 3 drivers Abe blow trailer tire on jersey barriers put up on the side of the bridge. They were put. There after a western express got his trailer stuck on the concrete gaurd rail. I have lost count how many driver have hit the bridge, or almost hit the bridge. I am. A truck driver myself. This is a 95 degree corner. But ONLY western express truck have trouble to make the bridge. Tonight, one. Backed onto my lawn. I know Poland Spring bottling plant tells them to take rte 16. I am sick of hearing the blown tires of the trailer, or cleaning up trailer parts or fixing my lawn. They are giving truck drivers a real bad name. They tie. Up the bridge by trying to make the bridge 3 to 6 time. Some of truck drivers have talked them around the corner, but somecant even back straight. Rookies or not, they need a lot more training. If the drivers I see here are their normal drivers, it scares me. In time, I am afraid. They may kill someone!

Western Express the false truck abandonment

My truck broke down outside of San Antonio, break down took so long to answer my first tow truck driver left. Next morning I was towed to Laredo and spent a while week there because W.E. took their time about approving the repair. Since hurricane Harvey hit Houston I decided to come home to check on my wife and kids. That's when I discovered that a load I transflo in was missing along with my breakdown pay. So my so called D.M. Brock Swope, was feeding one story and telling his boss another. So this incompetent dude pays another driver for my load. Now I'm suppose to send in the load under another number. To quote Brock" just do the [censored]". Totally unprofessional but when it was said and done I was labeled hostile. So his boss Brian calls me, mind you Brock already said I was fired. So I asked both of them if your firing me how you gone charge my truck abandonment and you firing me? So the money I'm owed I was told I would not be paid untill I moved the truck, and I don't work for free so we ended at a stand off, at which I was fired again twice in one day. W.E. had called me earlier and sad your not fired we'll get you another D.M.. But Brian called back that afternoon and sealed the deal. I'm just gone get a lawyer and fight them for a clear record and my money. The payroll dept. and driver managers are the rudest group of people ever. Tony in breakdown is no doll either. Honestly what I've been through with the rude patrol i couldn't do this anymore especially not being paid, I can't be on the road without my children's daycare paid for. So it was either hold out for your money your owed by law, or get railroaded for a mistake your Dm made the day your truck broke down and he cancels the load as you sit in southern Texas with border patrol swarming. And only when you call him out for his mistake(the reason I wasn't paid) the magically I'm fired. Nice move to cover your butt. In conclusion Brock, Brian, Tony and the old chick in payroll that hung up in my face. God don't like ugly. Karma is real.

Western Express western express drivers

Today, at approximately 10:30AM on southbound I-81, two of your drivers apparently decided it would be fun to block traffic. They drove next to each other 10-15 MPH below the speed limit for no obvious reason other than to block traffic behind them. There was no one in front of them & 1/2 mile of traffic behind them. This continued for about five miles. The roads are dangerous enough without a couple of idiots playing games with gigantic trucks.

Western Express bad working conditions,

I was hire by them twice, the first time I got of the truck the third day because I complain about the showers and they didn't do anything and said to bad.The second time I only took a shower one time in a week and when I complain the person that was in charge told me that if I didn't liked to get of the truck and I was in the middle of no where. If you are clean and have hygiene this company is not for you. They are a great opportunity if you need a start somewhere but if you care about hygiene just a little forget it. I was glad when I got hire because this was going to be a great opportunity for me but not at the cost of being stinky for days.

Western Express western express inc.in nashville tn.

On 6-29-16 at approximately 10:09 a.m a Western Express Inc. driver was very rude. Lic Tag #200067US69413, Tennessee truck #3915. My kids and I were headed on I-30 west near exit 83. The driver did not put on his blinker, he was in the right hand lane. Failed to put on left blinker signal, so the driver just jumps in the left lane attempted to run my kids and I off the road with a lot of road work going on that interstate. The right lane was ending, which he saw the signs a mile away to get over that the right lane was ending, no passing. So he just was going to come over on me, it was no blind spot he saw my kids and I. I blew the horn and everything so the driver flipped me off with the middle finger upon passing me, and blew his horn back as if I was wrong. Your drivers are rude, disrespectful and not complying with the laws.

Western Express rude driver

I am a security officer at Levi Strauss. This morning I had a driver come to my gate that was very mean and rude. He was driving tractor 2041. When trailers come to our gate we are to check their bills and make sure that the trailer and seals match what is on the bills before they are allowed on our property. While I was walking along his trailer to go check his seals he starts driving forword. I checked the seals then went up to him and told him. I understand you were trying to make my job easier by pulling forward but when someone is walking so close to your truck you could hit them. He told me there was no one in front of my truck. I said no but I was walking within a few inches of your truck what would have happend if I tripped and fell in front of your back tire. He huffed and said whatever there is no way I can hit you, you wasn't in front of my truck. Then when I assigned him a slot to put his truck in and an empty trailer he said you haven't been here long cause security doesn't tell me what to do. When he was leaving he had grabbed an empty trailer that I did not assign him which is fine as long as Levis says it's ok but then he tried to refuse to open the back for me to look inside. He says a guy says I can have it he wouldn't say that if it was loaded. I told him it doesn't matter if you have an empty you need to open it and allow me to check inside it is our procedure here and until you open it you are not permitted to leave this property with that trailer. He reluctantly opened the trailer for me. I have been working here for 5 years and the only drivers that I ever have problems with are western express. They very offten are rude to the point that I get called obcene names and I am getting tired of it. I have a job to do as well as they do and they need to start respecting other people and realize that there are other people that have jobs to do.

I was hired by Western Express. Of course it was too good to be true. They put you in a ok hotel or motel. They put you right on I-65 in a Quality or Comfort Inn. All night you will hear the I-65 traffic. You are told, if you don't like it, too bad. Orientation is 6 days per week. They have 2 orientation classes running every day with 25 drivers in each...
