They asked me for the original transcripts. They said they were not the originals when i sent the originals. I called, sent mails and voice mails. No one answer. The worst company in all the world. When they finally answer me, they said the documents were d e s t r o i d as they were not considerated originals. Oh my god. They will regret this.

I have submitted my application and nearly $600 have been charged on my account. I am receiving emails that WES has not received my documents - BUT I have already sent my documents and they have been delivered according to my tracking number.

non-listment of some foreign institution
I'm from Pakistan and WES has not included some highly recommended institutions in their list. Because of this many students are not able to get their degress evaluated from WES. Concerned body of my country has requested them several times in writing but still no response. We call them and they don't respond. Because of this we are not able to get addmission in US institutions. It is ruining our future. I'm attaching a letter which was sent to WES but still no response.
Please help us. WES just need to look into it and add few more accredited university in their list.

My client number is 2937699 and I had applied to have my PhD and MA credentials evaluated for immigration purposes on December 26th, 2015. My original application had only included my PhD credential and after the application was completed I wrote to WES asking for a way to add an MA as the FAQs indicated this was possible if my evaluation wasn't complete yet. There was no way to do this online however so I called WES over 2 days and didn't get anyone on the line and there was no option to leave a voice message. I therefore wrote to them again asking if they would cancel and refund my money - this was a simple question about whether they would consider this and the process if yes, so I could make an informed decision on what to do next, not a request to cancel without my knowledge. I continued calling to see if someone would respond to the issue at hand - which was to add a credential to the order. I finally was able to reach someone on their phone number on December 29th who advised me to use the form again and write with details about the degree to be added with my order number. I confirmed with her that I wanted to add the MA credential and if I could start the process or if I needed to hear back before I did this. She asked me to go ahead as I already had an order number and that all additional orders would be processed using the same number. I did as she advised and received an automated response to my form request to add my MA credential. After this I had my MA and PhD universities in the USA send my transcripts and also an additional letter confirming my doctoral degree receipt while I continued to wait for an email response from WES regarding the many emails I had sent to them. I logged into my account on Jan 2, 2016 to see my order status today and noticed that WES had canceled my order and started a refund process - $22.60 had been deducted citing Web-Wait Processing Fee ($20.00) and Harmonized Sales Tax (HST) $2.60. My official transcripts are already on the way from two different universities based on the phone call I had with the representative to go ahead with this. I am now worried that my transcript will arrive at their office with my order number and they've already canceled the order without confirming with me. I cannot afford to have my official transcripts reordered or have them lying around in the WES office with all my personal details on it. I expect a refund of my $22.60 and also the reinstatement of my order number with the same order number 2937699 - I will pay in full for the new order. I will not accept the $22.60 penalty - I had already communicated with a WES representative on the phone who assured me that my order would be processed and said nothing about canceling the order - she asked for my order number and presumably knew the status of my order when we were talking on the phone. She said I'd need to wait for a response with details on how to pay for the new credential. Instead I had to log in to see that the entire order was canceled and a penalty extracted from me with absolutely no confirmation despite there being multiple emails from my side on a way to resolve the issue. Every time I emailed WES, I would get this automated response: "Thank you for contacting World Education Services (WES). This is an automated message to confirm receipt of your correspondence. A representative will review your question(s) and respond to you as soon as possible. We thank you in advance for your patience and understanding as we work to address your inquiry. We look forward to assisting you. Sincerely, World Education Services" There was no response from them however, except for the one time I managed to reach someone on the phone number provided. Please let me know how I can have this redressed. I am very disappointed regarding the lack of communication from WES throughout the process. My degree credentials have a lot of personal information and I feel exposed and vulnerable as a client.
course by course evaluation
This seems like a FRAUD organization. I have submitted (on Sept.03, 2015) a signed and sealed transcript, according to their requirements (see the FAQ). Still they are asking for further verification from the university. Time is critical for me, but they don't care. They are clearly in violation of what they are advertising. Also, trying to get them on the phone is a nightmare! Terrible customer service! I'm thinking of a formal dispute with the credit card company to get my money back.

Recently we started searching on the best evaluation service on the internet. The name WES was the most popular but also had the most amount of complaints. I disregarded these complaints and decided to send one simple question to WES via email, they replied back one week after and advised me to call them. So I picked up the phone and decided to call them, and was unsuccessful for the entire week. If they cant handle a simple email question, rest assured these complaints are true. Digging deeper I found one member that mentioned Transcript Research, I sent them the same email and they replied back within 24 hours, we decided on sending our diploma to them, and 20 emails and 5 weeks later, we have our evaluation as promised. These guys are really number one in communication which was most important to us. No regrets with Transcript Research guaranteed good people.
It is very disappointing for anyone to wait for 2 hours to just want to cancel my order. I still coudn't get my order cancelled.
I believe the WES has a very bad costumer care service. I waited nearly an hour to get through to them and this guy on the other end says he cant deal with my problem and that he doesn't know whom I should contact for the same and that I might get it from the website and I didn't.
didnt get the evaluation report
I am totally fed up with WES canada. I have sent my document to wes in 2013 and they replied my back on september 2013 that they have done with my evaluation. But I didnt get my evaluation after 1.5years. Its a long time and I tried to call them but due to the long waiting time I couldnt make that too. They are irresponsible about these things I think. Its too difficult to send all the documents again. So helpless.

In October 2014, I paid a total of $286 for a course by course evaluation of my medical degrees from one of the top ten universities in China. I provided all documents necessary, including English translation versions of both transcripts. Both transcripts were verified by the institution, as noted on the evaluation and authentication report, and both degrees were from a "regionally accredited institution", as also noted on the report (even though I would hold that this prestigious university is more than simply a regionally accredited one - but I digress).
As I followed all protocol, sent in both native language and perfect English translations of the transcripts from proper agencies, there should have been no issues processing the report. However, under the evaluation of the second part of my degree, I see that while the institution was accredited, the program had a proper U.S. equivalent, and that my credentials were received, none of my courses were evaluated. The explaining remark that "this type of study does not lend itself to a course and credit analysis", even though all other criteria for analysis was clearly met.
I attempted to contact WES several times to discuss the issue, but was never placed into touch with anyone, despite several emails, with the "Director of Evaluations" whom the credential evaluations told me to "contact in writing". Furthermore, even though I had paid almost $300 for the evaluations, I received no greater details as to why half of my degree program had been totally ignored, and why I received an inadequate evaluation despite my having following all rules and guidelines and having paid the full amount for a course by course analysis. I am extremely unhappy and cannot get in touch with anyone to remedy the issue. I would not recommend this company in any way, as they not only took my money and did not provide the service promised, but also left no means of customer service or complaint after doing so.

I am really disappointed with WES because they do not provide an email address for applicants to contact them. They provided a number that I can't even reach. I really want to cancel my application immediately and I want to know if I can get a refund. They say I can pay the 20$ cancellation fee but they didn't tell me how to pay it and how to cancel my application. I spent a lot of time filling in the information they needed on the Website and a lot of time waiting for them to answer my questions. It's frustrating because it's very time consuming and I paid 310$. A cancellation fee is fine but they should give REFUNDS especially that THEY DIDN'T DO ANY WORK YET. They haven't even received my transcript of records yet. PLEASE HELP US GET OUR MONEY BACK. Please.

WES are the worst. I paid them $255 dollars and didn't get the services I paid for. I tried to get in contact with customer service and their phone number is disabled. They took for ever to respond through email and don't really help you. THEY ARE SCAM. I HATE THEM.
i had the same problem. but what consumers don't know can hurt them, it is unfair to pay a cancellation fee when they didn't even start the work. if u paid with a mastercard, i will advice you to contact your bank and start a dispute claim. i did that in december and got my money back in full this month. i think if people are more aware of this possibility that they are allowed to get their money back if the service was not provided in a timely manner, WES would become old tale and close down. It is a scheme! good luck

This company is shocking, they don't answer emails and I have made two phone calls from the UK and spent 15 minutes and 25 minutes respectively listening to recorded messages. The only reason I used them is because the college my son has applied to doesn't give an option. US colleges must take note that this organisation treats its customers appallingly and should not recommend them. There are plenty of other organisations which offer a professional service. Prospective students take note - DO NOT USE WES!

I think I am one of many who are facing problems created by WES.
Registered with WES on 21st August, 2014. Documents sent to WES on 25th, documents received and confirmed by WES on 29th August.
All documents were accepted by WES in the desired format.
Application status on 4th September : Under Evaluation
Application status on 5th September : Canceled
Received a mail from WES with an explanation : Ref the below mail

We have received and reviewed the documents that were submitted to WES for credential evaluation. We regret to inform that WES does not has sufficient and reliable information at this time to evaluate academic records from AIIBM. Therefore, your application has been canceled.
All academic documents on the file will be discarded and you will be fully refunded $299.45.
NOW the question and issue :
I have never submitted any documents or credentials issued or related to AIIBM. It is some university / institute in Southern India. It is totally unacceptable that they have actually canceled my application and have discarded all the documents that I sent to them. First of all it is a misunderstanding at their end and now they have discarded the documents. I had to spend a lot of time and money is assembling those documents and sending them to WES.
In my account on the WES website : All the received documents were mentioned under the "Documentation" tab and were mentioned correctly but somehow things would have went wrong on their end and the probably mixed up someone elses documents with mine and canceled my application.
Have contacted them twice after that seeking an explanation and trying to explain them that what would have went wrong. All they have as an answer is that I cannot argue with them over the phone and asked me send an email with all my concerns, which I have already sent but have not received a reply yet.
Second, they stated in the mail that a full refund will be made immediately if the payment has been made my credit card. Till date I have not received my money back and neither have they replied to my mail.
Experts - Please help me here...what can be done next to move things forward in the right direction. What should I do now?
Can I OR should I send a legal notice to WES for the same? Because I am positive that all my documents are 100% right and they have messed management at their end, resulting in waste of time and money of their client. I wont be able to apply for FSWP this year as it takes almost 90 days for our university to issue the documents as required by these ECA organizations.
JFYI - All my credentials are from well know Indian and US institutions so there is no chance that they can turn them down.

Hi, I fully agree that WES has proved very very irresponsible in handling such highly sensitive cases of credential evaluation. In my case where WES has clearly mentioned in their website that if college is Autonomous then college issued marksheets are acceptable
.They have provided in their website the link to the list of Autonomous colleges in India and without even verifying the Customer service department is always sending me the same reply by copying from the FAQ section. I don't think those people are so dumb or they think us to be dumb that I have been repeatedly appealing. Nobody cares and as if they have given a damn care to my case. This is the reply I am getting from last 3-4 times.

I have been telling that my college University college of Egineering is listed as an autonomous college under Biju Patnaik university of technology under state of Orissa., but no one cares to check it and behave as illiterates or so.I am just frustrated with this Organisation and having a very very bad experience. Services provided by WES is horrible, they never respond to your email and they dont know how tro evaluate. On their website they have something called as IGPA which shows how much you should be getting in your evaluation how ever they do their evaluation blindly not realizing the consequences faced by the applicant if the evaluation is incorrect. I have recieved 85/100 in one subject and as per their grading it should be a A+ and they have given me a A and in another subject where i have got 75/100 should be a A and they have graded it as B and in my entire evaluation there are no A+, B+OR C+ its either A, B or C due to which my overall GPA is been impacted and cost me my admission. The universities should start considering other companies for evaluation aprt from WES they are horrible. i have sent them hundreds of email and they never respond back more over when u call them u have to be in queue for almost 45 mins to get thru a incompetent customer rep who does not know anything but to say that u need to wait and someone will get back to you when no one gets back to you . its been more then three weeks and more than required business days still my file is under review for thie mistake i have to pay for the consequences. i am planning to take this further if they fail to responce i am going to wait another week and then take legal action.
This Is the Worst Evaluation service ever. Its been a year, I didn't received my official documents yet. They are lost and made me drop my Education. Someone should take serious action against this.

Like so many reviews I've read I wish I have known before. I am trying to get WES to cancel and refund my money. Granted I misunderstood their requirement about providing them with transcripts sent directly from the institution you've graduated from even though you do not ask to have them evaluated(I wanted an evaluation of my diploma only), so I emailed the requesting a cancellation and a refund. No answers. I tried to call them...20 mn wait time finally got someone on the phone. Kept going in circles with the lady on the phone who seemed to have learned her part of the script by heart. Bottom line it takes several days before they respond to emails. Informed me of a $20.00 cancellation fee that I was not aware of but she insisted is clearly stated on their website, still unable to find anywhere on their web page (well hidden). I will follow through with them and I don't get my refund I'll contact The BBB and my bank. Very disappointed with the service, certainly will not recommend, wonder why they not on yelp? That is the first place people go to look up institutions and their ratings.

That's the long story short for all those who do not have the patience to read the entire review.
My experience with WES has been a nightmare. I started the application two months in advance just to be on a safe side for my admissions date. It's been two months and I am still going back and forth with my documents. They are prompt with the service, all right. I get an email immediately as soon as they get my documents and let me know if they are accepted or no. The problem is THE DOCUMENTS ARE SOMEHOW JUST NOT GOOD ENOUGH FOR THEM!
I have sent multiple copies of my degree certificates and my transcripts but they keep getting rejected. So I pick up the call and decide to talk to them and ask them straightforward what is it they want. The customer service is another story. It takes 15 minutes to connect to them - anytime, anyday! I try to call in the morning thinking it will be less busy, no use. I call around noon thinking now maybe they will pick up my call. But it somehow ALWAYS takes them 15 minutes to answer.
Once you do get connected, they are rude and arrogant and not at all helpful. All they do is repeat the same things either from the website or from the email that they have just sent you. They don't get the fact that I have already read it and need further insight, hence the call. I try asking for clarifications, I try twisting my questions. But the answers always remain stern and the same.
My bad luck was that the colleges I am applying to won't accept anything except WES. So I am stuck here. But if you have a choice, please go for another service. This is too costly. Too time consuming. Too frustrating. I am already missed the priority deadline because of the disappointing process.

I wish I had my money back. They do an horrible customer service. Looks like they don't want to talk to you, they are always angry over the phone, besides they make you wait for long periods until you have someone to answer you and every time you say that you want to cancel the service they don't even try to apologize. Companies like WES does not deserve any additional client. Don't use them. Try to check with your school if they have additional options.

world education services - evaluation - not done
I had submitted my transcripts to wes CANADA for evaluation. The mode of evaluation selected was WES BASIC. Out of curiosity i mailed the customer service asking them my options of speeding up the evaluation. On their part, instead of merely communicating and confirming with me if i need to go ahead with the fast track options, they upgraded my mode of evaluation from BASIC to 3 day rush mode . They then intimated me via email that i have to pay $113 more. I immediately reverted asking them to revert back to the BASIC mode, to which all they had to reply was i have to pay up $113 more. Its been almost 2-3 weeks that my evaluation has been suspended, by this time BASIC mode of evaluation would have completed. Even after repeated pleas, they have not responded to my request and the status still says pending ...please find below the information about my transaction(i have attached a screenshot of my transaction for your reference)

bad communication, non receipt of evaluation on time
Immigration Canada brought up a new rule for skilled worker program on 4the May, 2013, in which thee applicant has to provide thee original educational evaluation documents, which are done by few designated organizations appointed by thee Canadian Immigration department. WES was on such organization on their list. The new NOC list given by thee immigration department has very limited opportunity for thee applicants for eg. Only 300 mechanical engineers etc. as soon as this new immigration rule came into effect, WES raised their fees for fast processing of thee evaluation, just a week before coming of this rule. They charged $200+taxes for processing in one day and $75 for international shipping. I had made all my paperwork ready before time and also send my Mechanical degree for evaluation to WES, after I mailed my docs to WES, day after they posted on their site that if you need fast processing pay another $200 plus taxes and we will process your application in one day after receipt of thee papers/degrees. I also paid for Express international shipping which was another $45. They updated on their website, that they have mailed my evaluation report on May 1, 2013 therough FedEx and later on it changed to international express shipping. I waited for 5 days, nothing arrived. I called theme on their 1-800 number and after 40 mins of Long distance international call, thee operator said that I do not have thee tracking number for you, and i have to call their office number @+[protected] for thee same; then I called thee other number and that day it was so busy that after repeated tries I could not connect theme. Next day I called theme as soon as their office opened and after 20mins I got connected to thee operator at thee Customer Support who informed me that she does not have thee tracking number on file but she will mail me after checking withe thee concerned department before leaving for thee day. No email came from theme. By thee time I thought my report will be delivered on Tuesday. Neither thee report came nor thee email from theme came. Third day came I again called after a long wait of 40mins of long distance and again thee same thing, thee operator said that she does not see any tracking number on file. I asked her to connect me to thee manager on duty or any supervisor who was not in thee office by that time his name was Kevin Kamal. She asked me to email her again on [protected]@wes.org about my story and she will forward thee same to Kevin and he will get back to me. Nobody called or emailed me, I even called Kevin on his desk, left a voice message withe thee whole story and informed him to call me back on my Canadian Magicjack number. Never received a call or email from him till date.
Here thee question is not money I paid, but thee opportunity I lost, thee time and money I wasted and thee inconvenience I faced, even after paying extra money upfront and not getting upto mark service.
I would like to urge thee concerned authorities to refund my money for not providing me service on time for which I paid extra dollars of my hard earned money and thee mental stress I faced.
Sent emails and was ignored first they affirmed that they are recognising with the California stat bar which they are not and lie that they are Once money has exchanged they ignore your emails and no communication for past 2months.
I had called WES and asked for refund as I don't want to pursue the evaluation. The evaluation has not started. But I made a mistake that I paid as soon as account was created. Now the account in inactive and there is no provision for refund. I am fine with paying cancelation fee but they are not ready to issue refund.

Whilst I am a massive fan of your company and your products. I am however I am not a fan of going on my daily walk to work to call at the aforementioned garage to get a coffee to enjoy and continue my journey to work. Only to find yet again the machine is out of order! I think it's been in the region of 6 or 7 times in the last 3 weeks. I'm not sure you maybe aware of such failures but a piece of a4 paper taped to your express machine with out of order scrawled across in marker pen looks very unprofessional and if continues in such an ad hoc manner will ultimately effect your business and indeed your most important assest public image.
Please please please try to resolve this issue as it is becoming tiresome
