Since they "upgraded" their mail program, yahoo has been buggy, and always crashes when I try to log out... sometimes it takes 5 or 6 tries to log off... Very annoying. Long load times are just plain frustrating too :P

On the up side... the spam filter is still working great!

There are a lot of cases where yahoo are suspending peoples email account and they are not given any explanation for their actions and are simply getting out of giving explanations by quoting their 'tos'

i held an account with yahoo for ten years then after changing my password i found no matter how many times i tried with the new password i couldn't log in.

i went to the reset form and it told me to contact customer services. i contacted them and was told that the account was locked, i was given no explantion and redirected to report abuse but as no one had done anything then i thought why am i filling out this form.

in respect of that there was no abuse i sent an email to yahoo and was told that my old account had been suspended.

i have asked 3 times for an explanation and each time i am fobbed off and quoted 'tos'.

as this yahoo 'tos' is miles long and i have no idea of what violation i might of committed. it seems to be a shamble if you haven't done anything wrong for an account which has been held for so long to be stopped and further more in ten years i haven't received one warning!

in my eyes yahoo have no respect and are disgraceful if they can't provide a simple explanation to stopping someone's account after holding it for so long.

if you are a representive of yahoo why would you be suspending so many peoples accounts without any form of explanation. yahoo to hide behind 'tos' is not acceptable and people are owed decent, honest explanations as to why their accounts are been suspended

I will also be changing to g-mail. I was told by yahoo to change my password (which I do frequently). I have changed it 15-20 times in the past year and a half. I am still getting the e-mails going out to all my contacts. Do you know how embarrassing it is to be sending a viagra ad to your boss when you are a pharmacist? (Lucky I wasn’t terminated.) My poor parents also suffered the same fate and it was about sex toys. Yahoo doesn’t care…. Urge everyone to change to different service. Obviously changing passwords hasn’t worked for others either…

My account was deleted for no apparent reason. I cannot access my emails, contacts nor documents. 9 years of information down the drain. This is absolutely ridiculous. I have done nothing wrong.

I wrote off the fact that no matter what computer I'm using it now takes Yahoo three (3) minutes to download all the ads before you can use the service. I've gotten past the fact that if I'm trying to read conversational e-mails I have to read backwards from the bottom of my incoming list. (Who's Oh so brilliant idea was it to ensure you can no longer read your mail from newest DOWN?)=A0 But, last night enraged me to the point that I am about to delete both my personal and business accounts which I've had since Yahoo started. I signed in to my business account and three minutes into checking my e-mail it popped up saying I had to sign in again, and again three minutes later and three minutes later and three minutes later and...Get the point? Then I tried my personal account, same thing, except when the prompt came up it had my BUSINESS account name in the user name field. An account I had signed out of was still popping up as active. I signed on this morning hoping that things had improved. Oh, they have, if you consider being prompted four (4) times in sixty (60) seconds to sign in again for my own safety is an improvement. NO ONE NEEDS THAT MUCH SAFETY TO CHECK THEIR BLEEDING E MAIL. BTW, this missive took me over ten minutes to write because it interrupted me ten (10) times to PLEASE SIGN IN AGAIN FOR YOUR OWN PROTECTION.

I use Yahoo email and it works just fine. They like to change things every so often, but I would suggest you use Firefox as your browser and get a couple of add-ons like disconnect me, do not track me and adblock. I never get ads from Yahoo mail. Never. I think you need to go into your settings while in yahoo email and decline to receive ads or something like that in the privacy or security area. And, as stated in the comments, you can set up how your received email is read, etc. Again, in the settings area.
