I called Yellowhammer Roofing after havin two different local contractors, each with decades of experience, troubleshoot and make repairs to my leakin chimney on over 6 different occasions over the past year. Each time, it continued to leak just as much as before. They all stopped callin and their guarantee on their work fell short when they couldn't properly diagnose the problem.
When S. *** from Yellowhammer showed up, he took his time to inspect the fireplace in the home, attic, walk around the property, and get on the roof. He immediately recognized the problem, and also knew that it was an issue he could not sell me a repair for. Instead, his recommended fix was a DIY solution that I was capable of performin myself.
Rather than wrap up and be on his way, he spent a lot of time carefully explainin to me how he arrived at his diagnosis, showin me every symptom of the issue at different areas of my property and even pointin out where I would have a problem in the future with a retainin wall if I didn't address it. After dispensin extremely valuable advice, he left without chargin me anything. He made sure I didn't feel like I was puttin him out by sayin he loves travelin to my remote area.
I didn't call Yellowhammer Roofin first because, admittedly, I saw them as a name brand that would charge more. I'm embarrassed to say how much not callin them first cost me in the long run paid out to other contractors that didn't fix the problem.

We got a roof from Yellowhammer Roofing 3 years ago
We got a roof from Yellowhammer Roofing 3 years ago. We paid $1,610 extra for a warranty. We got a leak in the garage. The leak was 'cause of a nail hole. I reckon they put a stray nail in a weird spot, then took it out and didn't put back the shingle when they put the roof on. Yellowhammer Roofing tried to say we did the damage. We ain't been on the roof. We took out a crepe myrtle before we got the roof. It's their fault for the damage. If you compare their pic to the ones on the internet for roof nail holes, they look the same. I got the original bill and can show it.
After they done the contract to replace my roof and the plywood under it, they didn't finish the job
After they done the contract to replace my roof and the plywood under it, they didn't finish the job. They wouldn't come to check it out. When we first agreed on the contract, they said they needed to replace the plywood, and I said okay. They brought the plywood, but they didn't replace it in all the places they were supposed to. They took the plywood away after I paid for it, and my roof is still not stable. Some spots look like they took out the old plywood but didn't put in the new one. They told me to go check it myself, but I'm an old lady with arthritis, so I can't do that. Nobody would come and look at the job. I didn't pay the final payment until they finished the work, but they still haven't done it. Now they're threatening to sue me.
I hired Yellowhammer Roofing to replace my roof
I hired Yellowhammer Roofing to replace my roof. They said they would replace some rotten boards too. But guess what? They didn't replace those rotten boards. So, I called them to come and give me a price for a new roof. I showed them the areas where the boards were all rotten and needed replacing. The guy selling me the roof said they would replace those areas. That's why I chose them.
But when they were putting on the new roof, I went outside to check on the progress. And what do I see? The rotten wood was still there! I told the salesman about it, and he went to talk to the roofing crew. Later, when I went back outside to check again, they had just nailed a new board on top of the rotten one. They didn't even bother to remove the rotten wood. They just covered it up with new wood.
Then, a quality control guy from Yellowhammer came to inspect the roof. I showed him the problem areas. He said they would look into it and fix it. They even said it a few times. But then they changed their tune and said they don't do that kind of work. Can you believe it? They told me to hire a painter to paint over the rotten boards. So now, I have new wood attached to rotten wood that should have been replaced. And in some places, they just put a new ceiling on top of the rotten wood.
And that's not all. When they finished the roof, there were still gaps between the chimney and the roof. I told them I needed those areas boarded up to keep animals out of my attic. So what did they do? They sprayed some foam up there that made a huge mess. They tried to clean it up, but it wasn't good enough for me.
Overall, I'm really disappointed with Yellowhammer Roofing. They didn't do what they promised, and the quality of their work is not up to par. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

Yellowhammer is refusing to take care of interior damage caused by a leaky roof
Yellowhammer is refusing to take care of interior damage caused by a leaky roof. They replaced/repaired the roof itself. January - Yellowhammer put in a new roof. They didn't say anything about previous wood damage or existing issues. They told us we had to use a mod-bit type roofing on our sunroom to get a warranty because of the pitch. We agreed. They installed the roof. March 4 (Thursday) - Our contractor found that the mod bit roof was leaking while doing some remodel work in our sunroom. Called Yellowhammer. March 5 (Friday) - Called Yellowhammer again. They said they would send a QC person out to take a look on Monday. March 8 (Monday) - QC from Yellowhammer comes and inspects the roof. QC said that the mod-bit roofing was installed wrong. None of the drip edge was primed before the mod bit was installed and he could pull it up by hand. The decking on the sunroom was very soft and rotten, some of it weak to walk on. Soffits are wet and wood is showing signs of rot. He says he will file his report and someone from Yellowhammer will be in touch. Later that afternoon, Yellowhammer contacted me about replacing the roof on my sunroom. We talked and decided that the roofers would install new decking and then shingles (not mod-bit) and that they would warranty the roof. Friday, March 12 - Our contractor found another area of leaking around our fireplace. It's worth mentioning that the mod-bit roofing was also installed around part of the chimney. Yellowhammer was called again and they said they would send another QC person out. They arrived Friday afternoon. He found that the counter flashing had not been installed around the entire chimney and that some of the flashing had actually punctured the mod bit around the chimney, causing the leak. The QC inspector said he would put everything in his report and then ordered more materials for them to re-work the chimney roof on Saturday while they were re-roofing the sunroom. Saturday - March 13 - Yellowhammer replaced the roof on my sunroom and reworked my chimney. They didn't replace the rotten wood on my soffit. Monday - March 14 - Representatives from Yellowhammer came to my house to inspect the interior damage (walls/ceilings surrounding my fireplace). They said the damage was old and not their responsibility. They didn't go up on the roof at all. They only used a moisture meter. The damaged spots had been opened up for nearly a week and we hadn't had any rain in over three weeks with 70-75 degree weather. They refused to take responsibility for any interior damage. I pointed out that they hadn't replaced the rotten wood on my soffits. I asked for copies of the QC reports, but they said they couldn't provide them since "this wasn't a quality control inspection". I asked for a call from the GM but never got one. Tuesday - March 15 - Yellowhammer sent a crew out to replace the rotten wood on my soffits. I took a picture of the wood removed from beside my fireplace. It clearly shows signs of recent water damage. Ongoing - I've tried to communicate with Yellowhammer about reaching a resolution, but they haven't been back in contact with me. I've sent emails, text messages, and left messages with the receptionist for a call back, but nothing.
