Raw burma curly
I purchased 6 bundles of the raw Burma curly. It’s nothing like the bundles I’ve had in this curl pattern before. I got the hair installed and within 2 days I noticed it was extremely dry, brittle and shed a LOT and felt more like the raw Cambodian. I’ve purchased both from Yummy which is how I’m able to do the comparison. I asked for a refund on the...

I am a celebrity stylist and I was working on a location shoot/video for a very well known and famous female performer. I decided to try Yummy Hair Extensions and made a purchase in February 2018 for 3 bundles of their Virgin wavy hair. I made a wig for my client. The video was shot in the Seychelle Islands. To make a long story short, at the end of the first day of shooting, the Yummy Hair that I used to make the wig was a matted mess from the water in the beach. This was humiliating for me! My artist then told me that she would use the wig she arrived with and that everything would be fine. During the last 2 days of the shoot/video, there was a lot of time in the water. Afterwards she took the wig off and I washed and conditioned it with regular shampoo and conditioner. I have to say that the hair Never shed or tangled and stayed soft! I later remembered that the hair on that wig was from Superblackhair.com. Yummy never responded to my complaint and I am still in shock about that. Just be careful when spending your money and not getting what you should get.
bad hair extensions
I purchased hair from Yummy hair extensions at the end of May 2017, it is now July 5th and I cant tell you how disappointed I am in these hair extensions. I purchased the loose curly of two 28 inches and a 24 inch. This hair gets matted so easily and as the day goes on the hair gets bigger and bigger. I wish I could get my money back but I know they will not refund money. I just need everyone to know how this hair is not what they advertise it to be. The other person that did a review is most definitely telling the truth about this hair. I spoke to a customer service rep and she told me I need to deep condition for about 20 minutes and then rinse it out. I will never buy extensions from this company again, I am upset that I told my daughter about this hair and she ended up buying the deep curly but doesnt want to install it. We are both looking for alternate hair companies with better hair products. Buyer beware on Yummy Yarn Extensions. Do not purchase hair from this company! you will be disappointed.

Almost a bundle of shed after 4 months. Product mislabeling, misbranding, poor quality customer service
I contacted yummy end of october/november to notify them that I was experiencing shedding with the 3 bundle purchased I had just purchased four months prior... Not a little... A lot. Like brush loads. My full 3 bundles felt like a 2 bundle. Very noticeable. When I called yummy, I spoke to a young lady on the phone who took my information down and was promised a call back by a manager. I had unexpected health issues that presented itself & was back and forth in the er and drs. I was also expecting my first niece on the way, so I had a full plate. I waited a month... And got no call.
On dec 8th, I emailed yummy and got no response. I sent pictures of the before, after, the globs or hair on brush and explained to them how upset I was and asked them to accommodate me and that no one had replied to me. I waited 3 days and after losing patients, I went on their ig and vented. Suddenly someone from their team decided to reply... On dec 11th. The yummy rep, who I will spare and remain nameless, sent me a brief email, didn't sound humble at all nor apologetic for the lack of communication and went as far as to insult my intelligence and offered to sent & quot;tips and reasons why curly hair sheds" and since I kept the hair so & quot;long"... Would have resolved it sooner no? & quot; they would offer & quot;a discount towards the next purchase". Unacceptable, maybe then. Not at this point.
I sent a reply the next day on december 12th, asking about the discount I was being offered. No response.
I took the weave out cuz the shedding was bad and I looked crazy. The holiday were in and I had to bring my spirits up. I have a lot on my plate... Still do, as i'm a healthy girl under 40 and dealing with some heart issues at the moment. I don't need the additional stress. Hair was the last thing on my mind and I shouldn't be the one chasing a company once I already contacted them.
Once things calmed down I tried yummy again. I sent them another email this week on monday... Guess what? 3 days later and i've gotten no reply. I tried to resolve this amicably. This company is beyond unprofessional and i'm done. I don't ever write on these forums but I feel so violated, especially after my email to them in december and now. I sent them this same exact message and they have shown no regards. It speaks volumes on the type of business they are. After researching and seeing the various complaints I didn't take it personal. They have over 15. Six on one site alone. Not counting yelp. Come on yummy. It's about customer satisfaction, not just sending free hair to the youtube gurus to get a little online presence. All they do is talk mumbo jumbo, wear your hair for 5 mins on their instagram and swap to the next. We wear your hair. Where is the loyalty?
I've never been treated by a company this way. I didn't spend $50 nor $100. Like many, I spent about $700, in addition to 2 installations in less than four months... And that was thanks to you yummy as I didn't want to ruin the hair and asked them for a referall to a & quot;weavologist. I was better on my own. I had to return to her a week later to tighten the weave, and just redo the whole darn thing somewhere else 3 weeks later. Plus it was somewhere in the hood where I had to pay 2 tolls and a lot of gas. Wasn't even a salon... It was a rent-a-chair. Ugh. What a nightmare. And now I would have to spend almost $700 again plus another install? My experience has not been & quot;yummy" to say the least.
If yummy is going to brand their product on their website & quot;we're buying 100% raw authentic virgin hair" they need to comply with the quality of their product. Virgin hair should not shed in abundance, tangle nor matt and yummy should uphold their statement, reputation and their name and most of all care about their client relationships and customer's happiness and satisfaction as we are the root of the business.
Yummy doesn't label their brand like most companies with names like malasian, brazilian... Etc. But in the bottom of each product page they do the reverse the wording a bit and label their & quot;hair is not from china" and on another they label the hair is & quot;authentic raw hair sourced from several russian federation countries".
In various complaints many customers have asked for the certificate of authenticity (As product confirmation). After researching the past few days and trying to get understanding to & quot;tips on why my hair shed"... I realized many companies brand and label their hair extensions but not all companies have the authentication nor certification to back it up. Hrrrmm.
I have no proof that my hair is 100% virgin. I don't know where my hair is from as yummy has not identified where it's from. Usa? Japan? Italy? Like most ask... A certificate of authenticity would certainly help. They cautiously say it's not from china and say it is from & quot;russian federation... Where and which ones?
The fd&c act prohibits the distribution of cosmetics which are adulterated or misbranded and must comply with the labeling regulations published by the fda under the authority of the fd&c act and the fp&l act...
After 3 months, and repeated offensive behavior to many, I think this company's behavior speaks volume. No thanks. I'll pass. Karma always catches up and always cracks down.
Poor customer service
Very poor customer service! Multiple emails sent with no response. Called several times to be placed on hold for 10+ minutes, 3 times! Promised by Glenda & Katie that I'd receive hair 1 week after delivering. TWO weeks later, and counting, and no hair. Called to be told that they're sorry but NO type of compensation. Should've ordered from Sassy Mitchell like I normally do! So disappointed!
I had the same experience and posted yesterday. I will NEVER support this company again. Poor quality. My hair shedded from a 3 bundle to almost a 2 bundle in less than 4 months. They ignore your calls and emails and don't stand by their brand. I've tried to contact them to resolve this for 3 months. Ridiculous.
Their hair extensions and closures were bad
I bought hair extensions and closure from Yummy Hair Extensions. I have paid $400 for the whole order, but the company sent me bad-quality hairs. And the closures were bad, because it was difficult to attach them and they fell apart. When I complained, the company hasn’t reacted to my emails and other things, which I have told them. They simply didn’t care about my problems.
Bad hair/horrible customer service/bad product
On November 2015 i purchased hair from YHE based on the reviews on their website, you tube videos, etc. I totally think they stage those videos because I KNOW good quality hair as I have been purchasing hair for many years!! I have hair that I have had for 3 plus years that still looks GREAT phoenomenal infact. I know that things can happen and batches may...
