a bank that can steal your money
This is the worst Bank you can choose to open an account with. I this the deadly mistake of taking credit cards with them and booom, they took all my salary without my consent against the total amount of credit cards. I found my self paying all credit cards and no money to pay the rent, food, transport, school fees, maid salary...
They allow themselves to do what they think is right with your money. I was paying the credit card on time, the minimum pay and suddenly they decided to take the total amount.
I am out of this bank as soon as possible, they are the worst choice ever.

closed account bank needs penality
I am one of the old zero balance account holder from ADCB bank, But last 5 years not operated the account and no outstanding in this account. One of the bank respresentative every month sent the mails pending the payment and this increasing every month 100, 200, 300, 400, 500 like this.I have contact the collection department from the bank, but they told must pay the amount. so anybody knows about this please inform what is this?

smart loan issue
Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank is big big deep ###, whenever customer wants to close his/her credit card, loan or account they will come up with hidden charges or they will say your cheque was returned, some times they put credit shield, making big trouble to initiate the liability letters or clearance certificates, i am also a victim, GOD help us from ADCB.
My problem with ADCB is that i closed my loan but they are not issuing clearance certificate, when i asked them why you are not issuing then they told me that my 2 cheques has been returned and i shocked, i got my personal account statement (7 months) and there were nothing mentioned i.e cheque return or insufficient balance. and even i haven't receive any sms, email or phone call that my cheque has been returned or bounced, it just came when i want to close my loan and now they want money to settle this issue.

I have a personal loan with adcb and changed my job. No one is ready to help me thru phone and cs help desks in branches. Eventualy one filipina lady in adcb bank st directed to collections dept. the short lady who assisted (not really! ) was very rude and seems not interrsted to listen to my queries or concern. She took my salary tranfer letter and got a ohone call from policeies dept. after 4 days! Then i found out they charged my loan amount TWICE! For no valid reason at all. Its been a month when they frozen my account and no one cares to help. I am desperate and tearful. Dont go to this bank. Theyre greeedy as hell.

instant money remittance to india
I have sent some money to India using ADCB instant money remittance service through the internet. Normally the money reaches in India with in seconds, where last time when I sent on 5th May 2012, the money never reached to the Bank in India. I was shocked and called around 10 times to ADCB toll free number 8003020 and every time I get different call center persons and for the last 4 days there is no proper answer from ADCB. I asked them what should I do to get my money back or when this can be ultimately recieved? They told me, they have no idea, and you have to wait...What service is this? such a big bank denying their responsibilities. My family in India is suffering because of this(school fees, cheques, all got bounced). I dont know now what to do, any way I decided to cancel the services of ADCB and even will recommend my friends not to go with ADCB.

First of all its adcb fault. Our company transfer the salary 1st of january 2012 for december salary. The central bank came to us and said we cant transfer this money to this account because the employee not registered to the company but we argue to central bank on this and they try to trace what happen because the bank account and routing code we used last november salary are all the same. Then central bank came to our ompany bank and our bank inform that all adcb card holder in your company will not get their money because adcb have its own routing code. ….. So we have to get the new routing code to adcb. Adcb didn’t even inform the card holder that the bank have its new routing code.

You know its been two weeks our company trying to sort this things out but at the end its was our own bank fault. Why adcb didn’t even bother to inform the card holder.
If they will said that we are inform i think that is a lie. When we receive letter from adcb that the new iban was implemented there is no written in the letter that adcb have its new routing code. When we knew the new iban no. We automatically change it our account no. And if we only knew this new routing why we didn’t even bother to change it.
It cause me a lot not having my salary. I have 3 cheques bounce. And aside from adcb bank charges there is also bank charges from different bank i have. That’s why i will no accept any bank charges from adcb

Suddenly when we transfer december salary all adcb card holder in our company cant transfer the salary because our very useless bank didn’t even infrom us that there is new routing code. That make our salary delay all our payment delay.

I lost my job and so applied for credit shield cover on my credit card, as the bank have been charging me for this service from day one of card activation-ADCB CREDIT CARD.I had submitted all my documents of loss of job by beginning of november and i was not updated about the processing of the same so far.Today, after one and a half months, i get a call from the collection department, a lady who spoke in a very bad attitude, saying that my application cannot be processed due to the reason that i am a relatively new customer of ADCB, which is not a valid excuse from my view, as they were charging me for the service irrespective of that fact.And demanding me to make a huge payment as overdue(when i am out of job) before end of month, as it is year ending for the bank.I would want serious action to be taken against such poor and unreliable service provided by reputed banks like ADCB. I expect the credit shield application to be processed and my charged service to be implemented.

Now my loan is finished but bank cliams that you not paid 3 installments while i am sure that i paid it for that reason i need bank statments from adcb i go 3 times to bank maroor branch abudhabi near boys school but the record is not available for the year 2008 i called many times to toll free no 8002030 at day and night time but fruitless .I wish to arrange my bank statment from feb 2008 till sep 2008. RBS debit card replaced with ADCB debit card without permission which is unfunctioning on the existing ATM machines, old debit card blocked unauthorizedly without prior intimation. customer care is advising to visit machine by machine, may be new card will work on some machine, thus forceing customers to roam bank by bank and solute the bank employees to get our own money from ADCB bank.
to the best of my understanding; debit cards are operative in most interbank ATMs, as long as they are in the network; Perhaps this card holder has an unique problem. It is public information that rbs retail bbusiness has been taken over by ADCB; hence the change of card may not be without notice;
unknown deductions from credit card - adcb refuse refunds
Two payments went off my credit card which are unknown to me. When I enquired I was told that 45 days have already passed since the deductions were made and it is my loss as ADCB can't do anything about it. First of all, I don't receive all my bank statements through the mail. I'm lucky to receive every third one. Secondly, the statements on the internet is not updated on a regularly basis which makes it impossible to pick up any mistakes on statements before 45 days. I received zero help or assistance

ADCB is telling that customer has to call customer care every month to know there outstanding balance and pay accordingly.

When i went to immigration trying to transfer my visa to the new company its so sad that in a last minute we found out that i have a case against adcb personal loan without informing me and so sad and frustrating coz i dont have pending coz i pay it regulary until now since they hold me in the deira office, so the immigration staff ask me to get a clearance letter to adcb and present it to muraqabat police station clear my name, but its so sad that they push me to heal, i ask for their assistance to get a clearance but the manager he dont humanity heart, his very hard to talk, only i ask a clearance for my personal loan but his insisting me to pay the full balance of my car which i dont penalty and i sign the contrat its a 4 years to pay.I explain to him very harmonuos that i got a new and willing to give me a new visa, but he just ignore, theirs one collector he knows that i dont have problems, but the manager insisting the old history i did not pay for 4 to 5 months, which they know that my company is struggling. Hope for the action from the management..its very clear only i want is clearance to clear my name..not to harass the client..

I am struggling now financially, but I still have work, the only thing is that I struggle financially due to the health and hospitalization of my father who undergone a bypass heart operation and my sister who's having a breast cancer and later metastasis and now she has a lung cancer this was started last 2012 till now. I am having a personal loan and credit card facilities from the ADCB bank. One personnel in collection department having Mobile # +[protected] called me and telling me they will let the company to terminate me for not paying them. I have 3 Defaulted payment but they should not be alarmed and get worried as my salary goes in my ADCB account and they have all the means to hold my salary only this December 2016 salary was not credited to my ADCB account. They should not curse me and put this situation inside our company as this is entirely no relationship to my company as this is my personal problem. They went to our company and talk to our Manager telling them to terminate me. Is that what really exactly they need to do? everybody now is struggling financially and this is the only bread and butter we have to help our family our children back home. Are they have the right to do that an acceptable behavior? I did not run from any obligation I have from them, as my payroll account is under their bank, so why they worry? they want me to be terminated from the company, how will I pay my personal loan from them, if they will suggest the to our manager my termination?. I cannot bear it anymore, If I only have a chance to transfer my salary account to other bank I will do so. i agree with u all, i am being here in uae since 2008, i never took any credit card, personal loan or even car loan from any banks so far, but only mistake i did was holding zero balance salary transfer current account with ADCB, i switched my employment to different gulf late 2013, and right now i am back in UAE since mar'16, when i try to get my salary transferred to same ADCB which i had earlier, i was informed i have debts with ADCB which i need to sort out by visiting ADCB debt collection department in outsource zone, i spoke with a lady called Poonam, she told me i have AED5000+ debt because of cheque return (Actual the landlord made mistake, deposited my cheque even after i vacated the building) i asked her is there any claim for that cheque amount?, she said no, its just for cheque return cost of AED 400 (But actual when i contacted customer support they said cheque return costs AED 100 for each cheque) which leads you to negative balance and along with interest for 2 years i need to pay 5000+ AED, i told her, alright i dont have any access with that account as you have already closed without any instructions, so i need statement till date to confirm the amount you are saying, suddenly the red face said you have to call customer care to get your statement, we will not provide, i said ok, i will first take my statement from the mode you said later i will pay, she agreed, when i called customer support they said i have noting with their bank, only current account which was closed nov'2013 with zero balance, then he approached me to visit any nearest branch to get my statements, branch asking me to pay AED25 for each month statement, its now totally dumping my head, but my goodness the customer support who sat on the desk showed me my statement on his computer, and my account was closed on Nov'13 and with negative balance all i have to pay is with aed 50 per month as penalty, and if i calculated as he said its not even 2500AED, but why debt collection is asking me to pay 5000+?, i dont know know who is the right person to take this issue, anyways later on i started arisin questions with that debt lady, she repeated same ting without explaining me, then i said if u dont explain me properly i wont pay, later another lady called me and said she is her supervisor named Poornima, and without even listening my words just simply harrasing me on phone, and threatening me that they will send peoples to my office otherwise i need to take loan from my office and immediately, i asked her dont you have a sense its my very first month here dont simply speak the way harrasing me, then she said when you can pay, i told after 25th once my salary credited, then she said i will not call u until 25th but you must pay on that day without fail then suddenly said its my direct line if u need anything call this number and hanged up !, yesterday while i was at the mid of important works almost at the top of roof climbing ladder, my phone started ringing continuously i picked up the phone, on the other end the lady poornima from ADCB, i was really frustruated and asked what?, she said i called you to remind your payment on 25th, damn, i said you told me you told me you wont disturb me until 25th then what is this call then?, she is then harrasing me like you dont have rights to say dont call, after i was keep on calling her to take clear explanation for 5k+ even now while i am posting here, its ringing for 4 or 5 times and going directly to vice mail, i simply had all kind of debt. harassment without even having any actual debts, Hope this is all enough experience for me with ADCB, i promise you ADCB i never have any relationship with you at all, thanks for all your enough headaches to me...! i am wondering nw this is all What ADCB HR dept taught these peoples?, everyone has a self respect, try to value peoples, and sorry for my such a huge post here

My experience, I has resigned from my ex company and joined in other company and ADCB hold my final settlement from my Ex company coz as per the bank officer, I hold ADCB credit card even i don't have any loan with ADCB. when i call the bank officer they say sorry and requesting my salary to transfer to their bank..when i say "NO" they told me that all my money will be kept hold till i show my salary transfer latter to the bank. How Cheap they are?

My experience with the ADCB credit card has been horrible. I was almost never late with payment and paid in full whatever I owed. When I had a dispute regarding my account and called their contact centers repeatedly, I got nothing resolved. And while I was disputing, they were sending collections to my office and actually speaking with my colleagues! Randomly, they upped my credit limit to AED 100, 000 against my wishes when I was trying to end my credit card with them. Now, one year after my initial dispute, they sent my account to their recovery department. Their resolution is to remove some of the months of finance and late payment fees and downgrade my status with the UAE Central Bank...they call it blacklist rating. So if you have an issue with them, the complaints department ignores you (even if you go in person AND write them an email explaining everything--which is what the call center people instruct you to do), they send your account to collections who harass you while ignoring your dispute, then send your account to recovery who downgrade your blacklist rating. Great customer service guys.
my wife had taken a loan from ADCB and the payment deduction date agreed was 5th of every month. However, the bank takes money from her account as soon as her salary gets credited, sometimes even in the middle of the month. many time she had contacted the bank and requested not to deduct her money in advance and deduct only on the due date i.e, 5th of every month. due to this unprofessional attitude of the ADCB bank, we have decided not to continue with their service and stop interacting with them as soon as the loan is got over. Can somebody advise how can I complain to Central Bank about this problem?
Banks like ADCB have to live with 20th Century reality. Since the 2008 credit crunch, many clients in UAE have had to struggle paying loans and credit cards. There of course is a big difference between a client who delays a payment from one who runs away without making any payment. The reality is majority of clients are committed to paying their dues though there are situations when it is impossible to make payments on time. Unfortunately, ADCB staff do not differentiate a customer who makes regular but delayed payments from one who doesn't at all. In fact, you are better of not paying at all with ADCB. A real case example is a colleague who happened to travel on emergency leave. He couldn't make his credit card payment on time and was very cooperative with ADCB collections department. He committed to paying his dues within two weeks after his return but guess what? The collection staff never took his situation into consideration and went ahead to harass his family in his home country as well as spoil his reputation with his employer who eventually terminated him; he is now jailed unnecessarily. Was all this necessary for a delayed payment? Where is Central Bank and where is UAE Consumer Protection? ADCB, watch out.. How many more clients are going through this dilemma?
I agree 100% - ADCB is the worst I have experienced in UAE. My salary account initially was in ABN AMRO, then it became RBS and then taken over by ADCB. I had personal loan from ABN, I topped up it twice whit it was RBS and never had a problem about repayment. Now since it has taken over by ADCB, they are acting very rude unnecessary blocking my funds just the salary being transferred one day late (due to banks delay). And yes, when I call the response is very bad..the collection staff, rightly said is very rude and doesn't know how to talk. I have never defaulted any of my installments, but ADCB staff is talking as if I have committed some crime.
ADCB is the worst bank ever... Manner less and rude collections staff... they don’t know how to talk ... and continuously harass & threaten their customers...and are liars as they put words in your mouth...they should be trained on how to speak...
Word of advice: Don't ever accept a credit card or loan from ADCB... initially they will sweet talk you into getting one and later they will make your life a living hell...

I am Biju Joseph I had took a loan & Credit card from your bank for AED 72167 (Dirham seventy two thousand one hundred and sixty seven Only).Last three months before I got operated for FISTULA and I spend AED 20000/- (Dirham Twenty Only) for my treatment. As you know that now my salary’s one part is already deducted for the loan, but nowadays one of your Executive is sending SMS that bank is going to hold my full salary for the loan deduction. Please make your Executive understand that if I will not feed myself how can I survive in this country. As per the UAE labor law I cannot work in any other company (Full time / Part time). Please see the attached medical documents for reference so that you can understand how much pressure I am holding. Kindly cooperate and deduct a part of my salary not the whole. One more request as the deduction is already on kindly stop the collection department’s call & SMS.

unreasonable freezing of account
The purpose of this letter is to just inform you of the disgraceful treatment that I recently experienced from ADCB Bank. As ADCB bank has a Arrangement with my Company where i am working, I choose to have My salary account with ADCB .
I had opened an Account with ADCB in the month of August 2010 . My resident visa was in process, so they had opened my account with the passport copy and Salary certificate . I received August salary in my account and I was able to withdraw my Money . ON 9th sep 2010 I received my resident visa page and I had drooped in the Mail room a copy of it on the name of Custom relationship officer of ADCB bank .
After that on I to confirm whether he received My Visa copy . He confirmed that he received and asked me to submit him the labour card when I receive from the Company . So now by September 28, when I received my second salary in my account, I went to ATM on 30th sep to withdraw it . I could not withdraw the money from Any ATM bank, when I called the customer care of ADCB to know the reason, they informed me that My account is freeze since they haven't received My Resident visa .
However, this did not explain why:
--- ADCB has froze my account without telling me the reason, although I had submitted my resident visa long back.
--- And Since I came to knew about it on 30th Sep ie Thursday so I was left without any money for Friday also (as Bank holiday) ie for 2 days.And on Sat after again mailing them the visa copy and other things and frequently calling them, I was able to get access to my account . This has resulted in much stress .
And after all this, Now when I want to close my account with ADCB, they are charging me 200 AED as Account Closure charges .
It is a gross insult to a customer to freeze the entire account without being informed the reason .And also when a customer is not satisfied by the services provided and want to close the account - they are forcing such huge amount as Account closure charges .

credit card issue
I was having credit card with abu dhabi commercial bank, I went to bank to clear my full outstanding balance, I met one representative (In ajman branch) and inquired about my balance which I suppose to pay, they said deposit extra aed 200 with your total outstanding balance and our department will take care the exes money and you will get back after 45 days, I called after 45 days to adcb help line 8002030 and made request to get back the exes money, now this time telebanking representative told me that I have to pay aed 75 to get that exes money which is aed 168, this is all about negligence of branch coordinator.

I sold the car to a man who took bank-loan for car purchase from his bank...it was ADCB bank, Dubai. the car was transferred to a buyer's name, I received an LPO and was supposed to get check the next day from ADCB... the Coordinator for all documents/payments was George Moosa, an Egyptian gay, an emploee of ABCD. He stated that check would be ready in 1day and he would send it to some ADCb branch in Dubai so we could come and collect it.
The next day when I was supposed to receive my check/money Icalled that GEORGE MOOSA to get the confirmation and the place from where we could collect the check... He started telling a long story that he has to go somewhere to get someone's signature, to come back...bla-la-la... yanni, telling it in a such stupid way as if he is doing a favour or he is so miserable he has to do his job.. anyhow, he said he would get my check today and promised to call by 1pm... never callled back... i got through his line--and he gave me any stupid story about where he would go and what he would do... 3 pm- I called his number and another man replied: "George is my friend and he is now at a very important meeting"...no need to say that ADCB emploee of the month never called back...
I had to call the car-buyer to press in him, george's office to scream at them... finally, after I said that I would take that **ing George to court, they promissed to try to arrange from my money ... TOMORROW...
So, the story doesn't end here... they called me to say that the check is at some Deira branch at 3 pm only next day...when I reached there the guy who was having our check left for the day (of course, tomorrow is December 2--big holiday for you, followed by Friday-Saturday days off and then Sunday holiday again)... we insisted to get the check today, and had to wait like 15-20 minutes till they arrange someone who could open the drawer of the guy who left for the day...
Definitely, I could get cash immediately so I decided just to deposit it in ATM machine... the DEPOSIT function doesn't work at all ATM... "When it will be fixed?"--Mya be tomorrow or next week.
SO, may be finally I will get back my money from ADCB next week, yannin 2 weeks delay.

I have submitted a request (Case ID : 391834) to my bank to assist me with a dispute on a merchant who did not render the services promised.
The bank is refusing to action the chargeback although I have given more than enough evidence, the least I am asking in an
attempt to assist a loyal cardholder or refund me for my financial loss.
Last Saturday (march 18)I lost my money without my authorization. The time i call the bank its like easy to them to tell me that is fraud, and ask how much i lost why like that its just because not a thousand dirham. I trust the bank, I thought my money is secure.
I have applied for a personnel loan on 9th Nov & still suffering from the worst service of ADCB , very very poor service and they don't know the value of time. I suggest every one not to get trap with ADCB sales agents

i had smart loan with ADCB, i paid my full remaining amount to close the account as disused with adcb recovery department representative named RASHID & HASSAN from Deira Branch, they took money but did not close the account, checks are crediting till now

ADCB bank has been deducting so many months from my ADCB account 25/month due to no credit card. the agent from ADCB has came and we applied for it when i started the account. again he came after few months and got gignature from for the second time. till the bank has deducting the amount and no update about credit card.

My name is Sujith, i am ADCB customer from Jan 2017. Every month salary was credited on this account. This is the first time I face one issue, my cheque was returned because of shortage of 147 AED. Now I loss 251 AED from my account.
ADCB has the worst customer care with brainless and irresponsible staffs... The higher dosent seems to get involved in any of the customers complaint...
I need to close this account and redeem the touch points immediately...
Dear ADCB, I had very bad experience with one of your agents his name is Mark ( Credit Card -ADCB islamic banking) & his phone no is [protected]. This agent litterally unprofessional, unethical. He don't have any idea about how to talk to customer. He is such a dishonest and uneducated person.
Please discipline ADCB agent Glenn from Derby; his telephone number are [protected]/[protected]. He was very rude; he harassed me and my company He called more than 100 times per day. He talked silly things like stealer, defaulter, etc.
Where is the Consumer right to be protected when this kind of agent is not professional.

I can fully agree with this user, I have never in my life delt with a worse bank. I have struggled for well over a month to gain access to my money through any means. Without question, the customer service is pathetic at best, they refuse to respond to emails, won't answer your phone calls and even when you go in person they demonstrate complete and utter incompetence. I am now forced to return to Dubai and will demand that all funds be returned and close the account. Absolutely unbelievable.
