I accept that from now on I should read the “terms & conditions” a lot more closely, but I just couldn’t conceive of a company offering a trial that starts the day you place the order. Well that’s exactly what this fraudulent crook of a company decided to do and I get some third world inept operator taking my call that tried her hardest to up-sell me on another month of a product I didn’t even want one month of.

So I tell her that I received the acai product on Monday it was now Wednesday and I’m wondering why they charged me $89 after 3 days, she replies no it is charged 10 days from the time you place the order, you failed to call us back in time. I exploded! What sense does that make to start my trial of something before I receive it? I didn’t get to TRY it! She say’s oh well since you’ve already paid for it now why don’t you try it for the rest of the month. This crap went on for way too long and finally when I was frustrated to the verge of tears did she give me the cancellation instructions.

Can you believe after the 10 times I said I didn’t want it had I hung up too soon I would have still been in the system to get hit again next month! Scam artists! I am pissed and still out of money. And the cancellation process is so detailed and ridiculous, and they cover their criminal butts by putting this stupid info in the terms they know people rarely read through completely. Uuuggghh!

I ordered this product and THANK GOODNESS I googled information about it afterwards. The phone number is fake. They say they will ship you the Acai Berry Supreme free trial within a couple of weeks but they never do. Then, under their terms & conditions, they say they will begin charging your card over $100 a month for the product unless you cancel. It's impossible to cancel.

I had to cancel my cc and was lucky enough to get that done before they began charging me for bottles of something they never send.

Please avoid this site and I'm sure there are many more like it! Be careful!

I cancelled this order on 10-29-08 by telephone. I also emailed them on 10-30-08 just to make sure. Guess what, they sent out an order on 11-1-08 and charged my card. I call them back when i received this order and was told that they had no record of my phone call just an e-mail dated 11-2-08 and this was after the date they had shipped out this order. Guess what, i saved all their emails. So, i sent them back an orginal copy . I'm now contacting my credit card company and filing a dispute with them.

The complaints against CENTRAL COAST NUTRACEUTICALS are not just about false or misleading advertising. A great many of these complaints are about downright theft and credit card processing fraud. This company charges peoples' credit cards without their authorization. That's a crime.

If the allegations are true, CENTRAL COAST NUTRACEUTICALS is stealing from customers that provide their credit card numbers. It does this by refusing to acknowledge returns and cancellations, and contining to automatically bill customers even if they cancel their orders, return products, and clearly indicate that they do not wish to purchase any products. This is not just about misleading consumers. It is about THEFT and CREDIT CARD PROCESSING FRAUD.

If these allegations are true, CENTRAL COAST NUTRACEUTICALS is engaging in CRIMINAL ACTIVITY that should be investigated by government authorities.

In the name of the public interest, if you have documentary evidence of the fraud, send it to your attorney general. The public deserves to know whether these allegations are true, and if they are, the perpretators behind this company should suffer the full consequences of their misdeeds, including if prescribed by our laws, a jail sentence.

By ordering from www.acaislimdiet.com, you automatically agree and are bound to the following terms and conditions.

The 14-day trial includes one bottle of Acai Slim (30 capsules taken twice daily). After placing an order on www.acaislimdiet.com, you will automatically be enrolled in our 30-day auto ship continuity program. You have 14 days from the day you place an order to evaluate and decide if this product works for you. Once you see results with Acai Slim, simply do nothing and we will ship you a 1-month supply (2 bottles) for the low price of $79.98, plus $9.99 for Shipping and Handling. With this service you will never have to call and re-order a new bottle of Acai Slim. You can always call or email to cancel your membership. If you don't cancel your membership within 14 days from the day you placed the order, your credit card will be charged and you will be shipped a 1 month supply. Tried for 3 days calling these people at [protected]. the phone gives a quick busy signal then hangs up, right? or just simply disconnects. The guy i chatted with said their phone lines are peak busy all day and only open from 9 am to 6pm EST.
I was able to speak with someone via chat and cancel my order. the shipping was already billed but I never rec'd the product so i cancelled it via chat.
go to this website http://www.ebizprogram.com/cpage.aspx?name=contactus
I was told I would only be billed the 5.95 shipping so i guess we'll see.
I'll repost if I'm billed anyway...

Don't waste time on the phone, just copy and paste the link above and chat with someone.
it was worth my 25 min.

Good luck.

I had order what i thought was a trial version of a bottle of acai pure. For 4.95 over the internet and yesterday they took an extra 39.95 out of my account before my 30 days was even up i placed my order on 10/15/2008. So how in the hell is that 30 days. If anything they are a ###ing ripoff . Then before i could speak with anyone about the product or services i have to wait a whole hour. And then customer service acts like i did something wrong. For calling and inquiring about the unauthorized transaction. Never again...

I ordered a free sample, which i paid the postage, of aciaberry from this company. Goods did not arrive for several weeks. Money is now being taken from my bank account without my permission. The only thing i can do is close my bank account. There is no way of contacting this company, no address is correct, and no telephone number is valid.
Please do not do business with these people they are the lowest of the low.

Its about time the authorities put a stop to their scam

I ordered the free sample then in about 2 weeks I get a large bottle and no explanation or anything in the bag so I thought it was free also. Then in 3 weeks here comes another one. I have 4 bottles they have sent me without ordering and charging my debit card. When I call I get a recording and there is no address anywhere. I want my money back. To be charged $79.76 four times is a lot of money.

I sent for a free trail for the acai pure and recviced not only the free trail but two other products that I didn't order.
They charge my account $44.85.
I try to call them but to no avail.
The frist time I try Iwas told the wait would be 56mins and 30seconds.
tThe second the wait was long but each time I waited no matter how long I never was able to talk to anyone .
Therefore I will return the whole package and wait for credit on my account. Which I know will never come.
I will let my credit company know to stop all future chargers and sent a letter to my lawyer for on line fraud and press chargers
against the company.

I saw the Acai Berry product claims and thought that it looked like somthing that I wanted to try, I then learned that it is a SCAM. I tried calling the number at least 20 times, it is NOT a working number. The product is FAKE! I had to go through the process of cancelling my Visa card, and getting a new one so that I would not be charged monthly. Needless to say, I felt incredibly foolish. Please, please, please, do not let yourself be sucked into this scam. If it sounds too good to be true, well i'm sorry to say that it is. =C

Once again, THIS IS A SCAM! IT'S NOT REAL! YOU WILL BE CHARGED UNFAIRLY AND NOT GET A PRODUCT!

I hope this helps innocent people out there save their money, and I understand why this is easy to fall for, I did.

You probably need to cancel the card. We had the same thing after ordering a free sample of Extreme Acai Berry(89.31) and Pure Acai Berry(79.76, so we were hit twice. We did not see the fine print concerning auto send feature which starts the day you click the send button. The Extreme Acai Berry arrived one day after the charge for $89.31 was placed on my card. The Pure Acai Berry charge was there seven days after the sample arrived. The only recourse I had was to cancel the card I used. They will start sending other products, they will sell your info, we started to see newsletters in our email account which they will charge you a another monthly fee. These folks go under many names that all seem to go back to www.gohelpnow.com, not much help, doubt if you'll see your original charge returned. I have seen some postings in which people have reported their cards stolen, I couldn't do it so I canceled my credit card. Good Luck.

I ordered a trial size of acai berry and was sent other products as well, I was overcharged than what was told but I returned products and canceled out. Now I was charged again and didn't even get anything and don't want anything. I want my money returned to my card. This is a bad business.

The other bottle i have not received yet. I want a refund on both items. I will return the other bottle as soon as it is received. This is deceptive advertising! One good thing i will never order on line again!

I have read many with complaints about the product charging what has been stated as unauthorized charges. If you read before giving out your credit/debit card number you will see that the trial period ends after 14 days, after that you will be charged the cost of the product. This is true for many free trial products including WUI TEA. HINT: if when you first order and hit back button before giving your credit info you can get the shipping reduced to as little as $1.00. Before the 14 days is up and you don't want to be charged cancel order. If there is a problem with cancelation simply call your Bank or Credit Card Company and have them close the card and re-issue a new one with a different number. NEVER UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES GIVE OUT YOUR BANK ROUTING AND ACCT NUMBER!

PLEASE READ ALL INFORMATION BEFORE YOU QUICKLY CLICK THAT LITTLE BUTTON THAT SAYS YOU AGREE TO ALL TERM OF THE ORDER!

Hope this helps...let me know if it does.

BTW HAS ANYONE WHO GAVE THE ACAI A FAIR TRIAL RUN HAD ANY RESULTS?

Cammi

I paid for postage to try this product. I read the tiny paper they included with the sample product telling me the product would be $89.31 a month unless I contacted them with in 14 days.
I attempted to call them the day after I recieved this product and was put on hold for 13 minutes. Then someone came on the phone line and said there is a problem with the line call back in 72 hours. I said "what" and they repeated that there is a problem on the line, and call back in 72 hours then they hung up.
I have a feeling this is not going well, so I already contacted my credit card company, and I will fight to have any charges from this company not paid.
There is no web site to contact them directly either.
Buyer Beware.

I will never again fall for the "free" sample product scam. I wonder if Oprah even knows her picture is associated with this scam. I received a sample of Extreme AcaiBerry capsules, which was supposed to be FREE. Now I have an $89.31 charge on my Visa account from Search Vitamins. For what? I ordered nothing and certainly did not authorize this charge. I am disputing the charge, will be calling my bank and the Better Business Bureau about these fraudulent practices, and am ON HOLD on their line (number from bottle--[protected]). AAARGH.

The web add read 'free try-out, pay only shipping & handling fee of $3.95' I signed-up and was charged $89.31. When I tried calling the 877 number to ask why I was charged, nobody would answer. This is an absolute misleading add and I would like to get reimbursed.

I ordered the trial and never received it. I called the number and it was only a message so I had left 3 messages and then went to their email and emailed several times without hearing back from anyone. I emailed the appropriate cancellation email address and cc'd myself to it so I had a copy of it. I then called my credit card company to dispute the charge. They removed it and said to watch for any further transactions from them on my credit card as if they tried to add a charge to call the credit card company again and they would remove it, but also that their bank would then fine them for trying to charge me since I have cancellation proof! Do NOT buy from them!

They charged my account for a second bottle of Acai Berry supplement but never shipped it. I tried calling there customer service department after they failed to respond to my e-mail. On 11/17/08 the wait time was 78 minutes +/-. On 11/18/08 the lines was busy until 13:00 CST and then the wait was 75 minutes +/-. On 11/19/08 the wait time is 38 minutes +/- I have now been on hold for 60 minutes and counting.

Call in the evening!

When you call(obviously the same place since the wait music is the same), you may be on hold for many minutes. I did talk to three different people who assured me my order was cancelled. I received a confirmation of cancellation from Fit Factory. They will ask why you want to cancel and make you feel stupid for not reading the "terms" which is a very small click button at the bottom of the berry powder advertisement. I have contacted my credit card company to make them aware that if any charges are made to my account, I will ask that the charges not be processed. However, I have to wait until actual charges are made. This is a nightmare and something needs to be done about these preditory companies who offer "Free trail samples", then add other companies to the deal.

I ordered a free trial of the Acai Berry dietary pill. I agreed to pay for S/H 3.95. I never received the the free trial product and now I have been charged 29.95 TWICE from a website called www.fit-fac.com. I am extremely frustrated that in these hard times that a company is able to rip you off by not delivering the product and then having the nerve to charge you twice for another service that you don't know about and never signed up for.
