Air India misguidance by customer agent live chat - air india website

Hi,

This is to bring to the notice of the gentlemen who could help me to get the justice towards fraud activity carried by Air India & it's travel agent vendor's.
I had booked my ticket for my family at Skyscanner.com through a travel agent Tripsta.ae who showcased a reasonable airfare in skyscanner.com website for Hyderabad to Dubai on 13th April, 2018 @ 9am on 9th April, 2018. for 3 passengers. I had done the booking and my amount was debited from my credit card at that moment. But, I haven't received any confirmation from Tripsta.ae on my booking (PNR No, Ticket No) They only sent me details of my booking with just a booking code : F100433663 from Tripsta.ae. I was amazed by looking at the ticket, with no details of PNR & Ticket No.
I had immediately connected with the Air India chat team on their website Airindia.in, The executive initially had said that my ticket was confirmed and, can able to download the ticket in some time. I tried doing it again with the details of passenger name to look at my confirmation, I was still unable to get the details till 5:30 Pm, I had again connected to the online chat agent of Air India over website. Asked him for the status of my booking, At that point in time the executive of Airindia had said that my ticket was cancelled due to payment delay from the travel agent i booked the ticket with which is tripsta.ae. I was in a shock situation and had written an email to trista.ae on the situation. The agent Tripsta.ae had sent me just as this showed when i had requested them to solve the issue ASAP on their website "Please note that this is an automated message, do not reply this e-mail. Your email request number is: 595167"

Since 9th April to 12th April i haven't received any emails from Tripsta.ae and neither from Air India on my booking status, Hence, I was assured that my ticket was cancelled as communicated by Air India & chose to fly with other Airlines on 13th April, 2018. Recently on 19th I see the emails reflecting in my inbox from tripsta.ae about my confirmation status for the ticket booked on 13th April, 2018. I was amused looking at it, Since than i was behind AirIndia for justification on their miscommunication and misleading me which costed me a loss of 1825.00 AED. Hence, It was the mistake done by Air India executive and i wish to get my amount back which i had paid to Agent & Air India.
Now the agent tripsta.ae is acting smart and says that its my duty to get the details of the ticket once booked, The agent tripsta.ae is a fraud and Air India which is the brand of Nation - India. is supporting the fraud and practicing the same. I have written and email to the Air India vigilance team, Still no responses from any one.
I have attached the snapshot of the chat i had with the executive of Air India and his communication with me...stating that my ticket stands cancelled.
Request to please support my situation and provide me with the justice.

Air India flight missed because of unprofessional management!

Dear Team,

Kindly be inform you that i booked ticket ( Ticket Number-NN2299623682964 ) from Delhi To Dubai as attached with Air India Airlines which i supposed to not book, I think my luck was bad that why.Anyway I reached before 1 Hours & 30 Minutes in queue. Departure time was 8.30PM dated 20.04.2018 And i was in the queue, i crossed almost to lines & when i reached to near counter i asked Air India crew member Ms. Jyoti ( Wearing Glass ) she told me counter already closed and that time when i showed her timing 50 minutes was left & she give me [censored] excuse, telling just wait i will come back. She came back after 10 Minutes & again she left. When she came back time was left 30 Minutes. She told we announced why you did not hear & we can not allow for checking. And telling when you show me timing its was 20 Minutes. I am not the One, there is 3 passenger also who missed the flight because of this [censored] management who was taking checking. No one announced front off the counter. I through my iphone6 on floor its badly broken because she was lying & giving [censored] excuses. I know flight was over booked that why they did not allowed us. there is one passenger claiming for the same, flight was over booked. I am really upset because of this accident, i was whole night on the airport no one response me nicely they were putting on other shoulder. finally i need to call to police, police came i reported against the crew who misbehave with me. I want to see the footage when i reached in queue, Its was G Block, Air India Counter No-10 " Time was 7.15 around.
I talk with manager he did not respond me & other passenger. I booked another flight which is cost me 18000+Rupees & i lost my iphone because of [censored] crew. One crew is saying i announced from here if you will see the video from where she announced, no one can hear anything, and telling this is AirInida Airlines no one will care you are wasting your time & its happen true what they told. And They dont have manners how to talk to guests. Only listing and keep quit. No one do anything for me & other passenger. I made complaint still no one contact me. Really i am very upset.

Please look into the mater very deeply & i need full justification. I am waiting for your response.

I will recover each and everything whatever i lost because of your team.

Thanks

Kind Regards

Air India holding an office of profit / charged 16000 for extra package and made to miss the flight

Air India has always been a renouned airways throughout my travel, but what happened today on 2274/2018 should be exceptionally dealt seriously. I and my friend we went ahead of time for check in. Our boarding pass was arranged but we took a little more time to deal with the luggages. We were aware that our luggage was extra and that we have to pay fine, but we were not aware that we are to be charged 16000 for fine. But that man in the counter whom we can identify by name and face, charged 16000 for 20 kg. Why 20? Because again he did not allow us to take handpackage. We are not first time Travellers. He was just diverting us that our luggages are overweight. When asked how much fine per kg, he said 450. So just imagine 450*20, it will never amount upto 16000. We as young students were panicking obviously we don't want to miss our flight and of course who will pay that huge false amount. We tried to reduce the weight by taking off two luggages so that we can send back to hostel. So we just kindky pleaded if we can keep the luggages so that someone might come and take it from the airport or if there is any possibility (all because we were cheated at 16000). The request was however rudely declined.in Such a heat of the moment we were trying our best to contact help from friends and faculties. We managed to send the package hostel because the driver was just outside nearby the counter. When we came back, despite of the time left, he said your boarding is cancelled and that the counter is closed. Whereas the was others checking in-in other counter. There was no call for us, no announcement made. The next lady attendant in the counter said we can still go. But the man did not allow despite of the time left. He asked us to go to air india counter and ask for the next flight. We obviously don't want to miss our flight and so we kept roaming here and there so that we can attend the flight. Time was still there but we're made to go here and there until the time was at stake (probably to kill our time) instead of making us to cancel the ticket and direct us to do something productive. Finally the man knowing that refunding is not possible and led us to the exit and told us to leave.

We came to hostel and when tried to explain the customer service is asking apology and covering the reputation of the airway. His issue against us to the customer service is that our handpackages were 10 kg or so and the luggage 20 and that's a complete lie and different story. Come on! We do know that handpackages are 7 kgs. We travel often. And by the way, compared to my friend, my luggage was lesser in weight. So I asked if I could be dealt separately to get my boarding pass. That too he rudely declined. What a service he offered. Atleast I could have gone attended the flight but he didn't send me either. To him we either have to pay 16000 or go empty without luggage. This are all situational and genuine reasons right in front of his eye. I requested the man to atleast handle my package as it's lesser in weight although I have to pay few amount of fine. This is a very ugly incident to be dealt with. I wrote this complaint because I was asked in particular from Air India customer service /support to write a complaint. My flight have been canceled because of that man and nothing has been dealt considerably. I have to say that this incident made me to think why such people serve others. Do something before it heats. Thus is serious.

To the staff, Do your duty and do it as humanly as you can. Never hold an office of profit.

Air India rescheduling of flight without information to me

I, dhond girish, had booked flight ai 309 for melourne to delhi on 12 april 2014 vide booking ref.No ai/z9nmx thru make my trip.As per my ticket last check in time is 8.45 & departure is 9.45 a.M. When i reached the counter at 8.05 a.M. The counter was closed. Thereafter i mate mr. Carlton farnandis of air india. He informed me that the flight departure time is reschedule to 8.45 a.M. Insted of 9.45 a.M. He said that this change was informed to mmt as air india did not have my contact details. I must mention that mr. Carlton helped me in rebooking of my ticket to 14/04/2018. When i wrote a email to mmt about this they have replied by mail that ai did not informed them about rescheduling of flight, hence there was no question of mmt informing me. Because of this i was saddeled with hotel cost of two days and transportation cost of travel to airport. The total cost incurred by me was about 200 aud apart from inconvienice and unnessary anxity. I request ai to kindly compensate for my monetorey loss.

Air India food and beverages

I took a flight on 2nd April 2018 from Heathrow London to Delhi by Air India AI 112.

I was offered Sula White wine by the Stewart from a bottle which looked half empty but he did break the seal .

When I looked at the bottle I was horrified to note the neck of the bottle was badly chipped and quite possibly there was glass in the bottle too.

I have taken a photograph which is attached. The Steward snatched the bottle fir obvious reasons.

AI needs to apologize and be careful in their Quality Assurance. This could have been a major tragedy for me and for others who are served such bottles in middle of a flight to rupture your food pipe stomach and intestines.

Air India ticket validity

Passenger name MR ALAN WILLIAM PATTINSON
Booking ref JX092
Ticket No 098-[protected]

On the 4th October 2017 I phoned the Birmingham office to change the date of the return flight. I was told the ticket was valid for 12 months and I could travel anytime up and including the 19th April 2018.That there was no charge for the change but there may be a charge for the difference between the original and the new flight prices.

No contact has been made by Air India since that date.

On Monday morning the 2nd April 2018 I contacted Air India on the chat line to arrange the return flight. The first agent said that the booking ref did not match the passenger name and they terminated the call.
I tried again this time the agent said that the booking had been made through an agent and I should contact the agent. I pointed out that the booking was made on line direct with Air India-the call was terminated.

I then decided to contact the Birmingham office.
I made 10 calls between Monday 2nd April and Friday the 6th April totally 143 minutes . I was told originally it would take 24 hours to obtain the data on the ticket, then 48 hours then 72 hours .
I was promised many return calls with half an hour or an hour but never received a single call from Birmingham.
I decided to try the chat line again on Thursday the 5th April and this time it resulted in a call from the Air India USA office who informed me that the ticket was only valid for 6 months not 12. I told them this was contrary to the Birmingham office information.
On Friday the 6th April made 2 calls to the Birmingham office the second call was because another promised call of within an hour never materialized . The second call latest 40 minutes I was initially told the ticket was still open and I would be transfered to the Fare Desk department.
This dept then told me that the ticket was void only 6 months and the charge for a flight on the 18th April would be £1526.
Where did this figure come from as your website at the same time was showing the same flight at 24, 250 baht roughly £552.

Is Air India not prepared to take any responsibility for its staff when they provide incorrect information and why did it take so long to determine the ticket was only of 6 months duration.

This is a most appalling lack of service especially from the Birmingham office .

Air India charging for seats for already allocated seats

Hello, I booked three return tickets from Chicago to Mumbai via Delhi (Confirmation No.- YFVJN) and one return ticket from Delhi to ORD (Confirmation No.-YK1HM) . At the time of booking I got allocated three seats from ORD to Delhi and 4 seats from Delhi to Chicago . Now all seats got reallocated and airline asking for extra money for the seats together. I spoke to airline customer service, they are saying it got changed and if you want three seats together you have to pay.
This is completely unethical to charge for the seats which is booked/ allocated 6 months back. I understand for all the new bookings you can ask for extra money but for the already booked tickets for which seats are allocated you should not ask for the money. Hope you will consider my request and give back my seats for both PNRs (YFVJN, YK1HM) without any extra cost.

Thanks,
Subhransu Mishra

Air India domestic flight

I have booked tickets to Trivandrum From Mumbai by flight AI 667scheduled for departure at 18:56 hrs from Mumbai. I have reached airport by 14:00 hrs and have done web check in at airport itself and security check at around 14:30 hrs. Since Mumbai being a silent airport was keen in looking the display boards for gate and it was displayed that the flight will be from gate no.42 B ( this was displayed around 15:00 hrs)and I was sitting near gate no.42 B. But in Gate number 42 B flight to kochi was only shown and on enquiry the air India staff told that the Trivandrum flight will be only after Kochi flight that was getting late. Air India then without announcing/informing any one waiting near the gate changed the boarding gate to 40 A and I missed the flight. I along with three other co-passengers waiting near the same gate had rushed to gate no.40 A just before closing the boarding gate but were not allowed entry since air india issued tickets to four other passengers declaring us as gate no show case.

Air India lost baggage

I traveled from Newark to Hyderabad on February 27th Via Air India AI144.

On February 28th I checked out my baggage at the Mumbai International airport and erroneously picked up a suit case which had same color and brand as mine and checked out of immigration. My Tag number at the EWR was AI239920.

I checked in my baggage again for Hyderabad. The existing tag was removed by the officials and another tag for Hyderabad was affixed to it. The new tag number given was AI305030. I traveled by AI 619 and reached home by about 11 PM.

When I saw the bag and tried to open to check the contents it had a small lock and I twisted and it was opened. I realized that the bag did not belong to me as the contents were not mine. I searched the bag to see if I can find some contact information of the person to whom it belongs to, so that I could get in touch and exchange the bag. Unfortunately there was no information.

On March 1 I immediately contacted the Air India Hyderabad and informed all the incident and asked them the process of how to return the baggage and how to get my baggage. They took all my details and gave a On hand file number - BOMAI83702. They never gave me a complaint number. In the mean time the Bombay AI people reached out to me and asked me to hand over the baggage to AI Hyderabad and after they receive the baggage then only will they release my baggage.

Om March 2, I went to the Hyderabad AI Office and handed over the baggage to one Mr. Sharath of the AI office. After that I have been continuously trying to get my baggage but till date there is no status update.

March 5, I got a call from Ms. Asha Kale of Mumbai AI office and she informed me that Mr. Imitiaz to whom the bag belongs to has made a complaint with the Mumbai Police that certain material from the bag was missing. I have confirmed that nothing from the bag was removed by me.

My only mistake was that I picked up the baggage erroneously thinking it was mine. I have been continuously under stress and frantically trying to reach the baggage department to send my baggage. I am travelling tomorrow back to New Jersey. I did not have any clothing from March 1 till date as all my clothes were in my 1 suitcase that i was carrying and the same is held at the Mumbai airport.
On March 6th, after the interference by the CISF officials, I spoke to one of the manager of AI and he me told that I could collect the bag while I am returning.
On 7th March I reached the Mumbai airport at about 7 PM and I straight away went to claim my baggage and requested them to release my bag as I will then check in for Newark. Then they started giving me all excuses and told me that the other customer has given a police complaint and they cannot release my bag. They detained me for more than three hours asking me all the questions which they already knew. Taking pictures of my passport and boarding pass.
They also forced me to speak the other owner and to request him to withdraw the police complaint. That owner was really angry for mishandling his baggage which he says was given to him in a broken condition, I had informed him that I had given the bag at the AI Hyderabad office in a good condition with all the material intact. After three hours also when they refused to give my baggage I requested them to give my clothes which were my basic essentials but they vehemently refused after speaking to Ms. Asha Kale. Ms. Asha Kale was very rude and said all this started because I took the bag, she was trying to put all the blame on me.
They have not released my bag till date and they have retained my basic necessary clothing and the whole one week I was in Hyderabad I was under lot of stress as trying to reach them continuously without any response.
I would really appreciate if you can help me get my bag to New Jersey. Please let me know if you need any more information.

Air India unauthorized credit card charges

Air Canada Refund Services. Claim Id: #284454# : #69d3208d1b19#, case number is: CAS-886448-T7Y8G4; Air India Ref No. WB-DAMD170218023 Name: Mr. Girish Tawar )
I travelled from AMD to YYC on Feb. 14 2018 on Air Canada Ticket, Air India charged me insanely $ US 225.00 ( $ cad 306.68 ) for 1 piece extra baggage(receipt attached) saying that only 1 bag allowed. I checked online on Air Canada website about the baggage allowance with flight confirmation number SLIYXV, Last name Tawar, it clearly shows 2 complimentary bags allowed. Also Air India replied that For travel from/to Canada, the carrier whose code appears in the Carrier Box of the first flight of the ticket is known as the "selecting carrier". The selecting carrier's baggage policy applies to the entire itinerary of a ticket. In my case, it shows United Airlines, so here United Airline's policy applied by Air India, United Airline's Ticket itinerary attached clearly showing 2 bags allowed. I contacted Air Canada and they replied As Air India has collected your baggage fees, your request for refund must be requested to them directly. Then I contacted Air India for Refund of excess baggage charges they collected ilegally, Air India replied that "We would like to inform you as per your ticket free baggage allowance was 1 piece. Excess baggage charges was applied as per the baggage policy". Airlines are required to establish and maintain a tariff which is available to consumers and consumer is entitled to request and receive a copy of that tariff, in the case of dispute or complaint, tariff is basis for adjudication. Air India and Air Canada are both blaming each other for the undue charges and refusing to refund. Attached tariff of both Air Canada and Air India, both showing in economy class 2 bags allowed for Canada to/from India. I don't understand where they got the 1 bag rule and no one is answering that. As you can see Air India is not following any Tariff or selected carrier's (united Airlines) baggage policy and ripping off customers by insanely charging undue baggage charges and mentally harassing consumers travelling with little kids at Airport . Please look into this matter and refund undue baggage charges. Please let me know if you need more documents showing 2 bags allowed to/from india to canada.

Air India delayed flights and missed international connection

Dear Sir / Madam

I am writing into you with regards to my flights I took with you in November from Birmingham To Delhi

Me and my mum travelled together and the outward journey was great and we got there on time.

But I am very disappointed as on my way back to Birmingham I was flying from Mumbai to Delhi to get my connecting flight to Birmingham.

I was at Mumbai airport for 6am as the check in Counters opened at 7am my family dropped me and left so I checked in and passed through security by 8am as flight was at 9.00 me and my mum were sat at the gate and it showed delayed so we waited and then it was getting to 11.00 and flight still didn't arrive so I spoke to the advisor on the desk and explained that my connecting flight from Delhi is 1pm and showed our boarding cards and he said don't worry we will get you to Delhi and you will get your flight so we sat back down, finally the flight arrived which came from goa at 11.45 so we got on the flight but it did not take off until 12.15pm at this point me and my mum were panicking so just closed eyes and went to sleep as we were really tired as we had a overnight journey to Mumbai from Surat by road, we didn't eat the flight meal as had a headache.

We landed at Delhi airport at 1.45pm which at this time I thought the flight will be waiting for us so came out and got to the gate and said which way to take the flight to Birmingham and the assistant said please wait on the side as the flight has left.

At this point my mum was feeling very stressed and panicked and I jus had to be strong and look after her, I was very angry as I had to join work on Friday and I had a meeting to attend.

Once the assistant took care of other passengers he then took me to the desk the lady on the counter said the flights gone so we have put you on the London Heathrow flight, and I said no this was not any good to me as there had been heavy snowfall and it is a 4 hour journey to our home and also if I wanted to fly to Heathrow I could have went straight from Mumbai and it would have saved the hassle but Birmingham is 40
Minutes to get to our home.

I said to the advisor that I can not take this flight so she said that they can put us in a hotel an then take the next day flight to Birmingham, as my mum was exhausted and at this point so was I, I had no choice but to say yes.

So then I left my mum at the desk and went to the belt to pick up the luggage which took 40 mins to come out, then I was given our boarding cards and passports back an assisted to the gate towards a taxi which took us to the hotel.

When arriving at the hotel the check in took 1 hour and finally then we got to our room, the room given was absolutely disgusting as there was a damp smell like the room was opened after such a long time and the sheets were dirty and the room was damp too and the worst part is after using the toilet it was not flushing so then I called room service and they said we will send someone but nobody came and then I called another 4 times after someone came after seeing the state of the room finally we were moved into another room.

The food service was good as we were given food vouchers so we had a snack, dinner and breakfast which was with great service.

The same evening we needed a iron so the colleague from room service brought it and I said after using it I will leave it outside the door so I did, even then continually he knocked on the door and it got very scary as me and my mum were alone and we did not feel safe too.

The morning of departure we got dropped off to the airport on time as our flight was at 13.15 so we wanted to check in early so that we have no issues as we were very tired, so checked in by 10.30am and went through security and reached to the gate by 11.00.

At this point we just wanted to get on the flight and get back home but when we got to the gate the flight was showing delayed but not a time to how long so we just sat and waited, there were no staff that I could go and ask or nobody for assistance either.

When I read that the flight is delayed till 2.30pm I was getting worried as mum being diabetic needed to have her medication but needed to have lunch, so then I had to leave mum alone and go and look for a atm as I had no rupees left as I didn't expect all this inconvenience that happen.

I then had to withdraw from my uk account which I get charged on to take money out for food and water.

I then walked back to the gate took mum back to the food court where we had lunch, then the flight showed delayed more now till 3, 30pm at this point I was getting so frustrated and as of mums blood pressure I didn't even tell her about the longer delay. At this point my phone battery was low and my charger had been checked in with my suitcase so I had to go back to duty free and buy a charger which again cost me money too.

After all this got back to the gate ready for the flight and then they announced a gate change so again more moving around. Then the flight showed delayed till 4.30 pm I was getting so angry but could do nothing but sit and wait for the flight.

Finally the flight arrived at 4.45pm and we got onto the flight, nearly 4 hours late, the flight was full no space in the overhead cabins to put our hand luggage and the service throughout the flight was appalling.

The dinner was served after 2 hours of flight take off and throughout the flight only came around with water occasionally, and then before landing the snack was served which was okay, but instead of landing at 5.15pm uk time we landed at 8.30pm this meant my brothers who picked us up from the airport had to to wait 3 hours for us and the car parking cost us £50, this is all because of the delay.

It was the first time we took our international flight with air India but have had a very disgraceful experience and I will never be travelling internationally again and will not recommend to anyone either, I do take my internal flights with air India which have been a good experience but this time even my internals were delayed so I have no idea why the service has been so appalling.

I have had a lot of loss due to my missed flight and delays, I missed my Friday office and my meeting, I work for hsbc bank and I was supposed to go back to work on the Friday which I missed also missed my meeting which meant a days pay loss.

And I actually went to India for my engagement and I was given lots of clothes as gifts and lots of sweets to bring back to distribute to family and friends, but due to being in the suitcase for 2 days all the sweets had gone off due to the heat and the butter melted all out the boxes into the clothes, so I have had damage and loss in the items in my suitcase too.

I am very upset as of the loss I have had and the inconvenience caused, my mum has had to go through a lot of pain as she has lots of health issues and I have been stressed too as of all the loss of belongings and all my gifts I was given.

I would appreciate if this email can be forwarded to your seniors who will be able to put there selves in my situation and feel the stress and inconvenience and loss I have had.

I am sure that being such a big company and to keep your company name high you will consider compensating me and my mum as of what we have gone through.

I look forward to hearing from you very soon with a fair outcome as I would not like to take this complaint any further.

My contact number is [protected], but best contact will be by email.

Regards

Nima Sharma

Air India flight schedule change

Hello Sir / Madam,

I am due to travel on 27th Feb 2018 from Birmingham airport to Delhi airport and my flight path and time is changed which I wasn't informed about and only knew yesterday when I checked in online. I have paid for a direct flight and not the one that has a stoppage as this is not convenient to me. Upon speaking to air India Customer service team they claim that they spoke to a person named Walid(my original ticket agent) regarding the change of schedule but when I spoke to walid he claims that nobody from Airindia has advised him regarding the change. My agent whom I booked the ticket with claims that they have listened to all their recordings since 1st Jan 2018 till mid Feb but haven't received a call from Air India about this matter. Would you be able to provide me the proof for this or be able to look into the detail please as I am not at all happy about this and would like to take the matter to the solicitors and local news papers if this is not being dealt with appropriately because someone is lying down the line to cover themselves.
Hope to get a co operation from your side ASAP.

Many thanks
Neeraj Arora

Air India baggage delayed by 4 days - air india flight ai031

I left Toronto on December 27 to attend a very important wedding on Dec 30, 31 and January 1. I landed at Mumbai airport (Ticket # [protected]). I had in total three bags (two + 1 which I paid $225 dollar). Below are the Baggage Tag numbers for your reference. I did receive two bags but lost my third bag at Ahmedabad International Airport and I received this bag on Jan 1st at 4pm which is basically after the wedding. My bags had very important clothing and ornament to be wore for the wedding which I couldn't wear so I had to buy around $800CDN (40000 INR) for wedding materials.

I complained Air India at Ahmedabad Airport in India but they said to me to complain in Mumbai Airport. So when I was suppose to depart from Mumbai airport, my flight got delayed on 13th February so I did not have time to complain at the Mumbai airport cause of two hour delay.
Hence why I'm writing this through web form.

While returning from Ahmedabad to Toronto, on 13th February, I was being treated very badly. I had 10Kg (which is correct according to the ticket details) but at the airport, they did not allowed and removed 2Kg from my hand bag and I also couldn't take my laptop with me. This was a terrible experience for me overall for my Toronto to Mumbai and return flight from Ahmedabad to Toronto.

So in total I paid 225$ for the extra bag which was totally not useful since I got it after the wedding. Plus my 800$ of personal expense just cause I did not receive the bag. Plus the harassment which I faced overall. I would like the refund on this, that would be really appreciated if you do count as a good customer service.

I've attached the files with this complain which will be useful. overall expense and missing luggage tags as well.

Bag 1: 0014AC059140
Bag 2: 0014AC059138
Bag 3 (Lost at Ahmedabad Airport): 0014AC059139

Air India staff attitude

My name is Mr Pradip Thakrar. I was travelling from Delhi to London with my wife on your Flight no AI 111 on 10th January 2018.
On boarding the plane we noticed that our screen monitors were no working. We asked the air hostess about the issue and was advised that as soon the plane takes off it will be working. So we waited for the plane to take off but nothing happened. Again we inquired and were advised that it is rebooted and it will start working in 30 minutes. After half an hour nothing happened. I again requested for on flight duty manger and wss advised as it was serving time she will come later on. Nothing happened but then when I insisted to change my place one of the hostess told me that we cannot demand anything as the this was complementary service. I asked her to give me in writing and she refused so I insisted that I want to speak on duty flight manager. The screen 30ABC TO 39 ABC WERE NOT WORKING AND THEY WERE NOT WORKING EVEN IN THE PREVIOUS FLIGHT SCHEDULE.

Duty Manager Ms Mancha came after three hours and showed me a check list which she showed me dated 09.02.18. She also told me that the hostess who told me about the complementary service will come and apologise but she never came. One of the other hostess who was very cooperative made arrangement on different seats, I had to travel on middle row in spite of my advance booked flight seat arrangement. The person who told me that this is complimentary was rude and unprofessional. The remote to call or to switch on the lights was also not working. The mobile charging was not working. Seat Reclining was not working. What a mess it was on the flight. For water or any other service we had to get up and ask at the back with staff.
I have uploaded a pic of the check list from Ms Mancha.
Also I found out that the one of bags was damaged inside. I had checked at the airport for external damage but it was damaged inside.i came to find out when I unpacked the suitcase. A picture of the same also uploaded.

you are kindly requested to look into the matter and arrange for compensation for flight experience ( rude hostess and very bad facility)
also please arrange for the damage to my suitcase.

MY baggage tag no is AI868613
ETK 0985103072157C3 and 0985103072157C4
boarding no 83 and 84

The planes are supposed to be new ones but the condition of the same was of 20 years old. I will not recommend any one to travel by air India. We being Indians travel by Air India to support our country but it does not justify at all.

awaiting at your earliest.
