Local manager and service center
I wish to file a complaint about the local AAA Service center in Middletown NJ. I have several issues with the Service Center Manager. I had an appointment on Saturday December 2, 2022, at 8:00 AM at exactly 8:00 AM I opened the unlocked front door to walk in. The first issue was a entrance safety issue. There were 2 stacks of auto tires stacked right in front of the entrance door as you walk in not only is this a major trip hazard, upon entering the store but also an emergency exit block. Which violates local fire codes.
There was a young man sitting at one of the desks, he told me the service staff was just finishing up the morning meeting. After waiting 15 minutes I finally called out let’s go you have customers waiting. The Service Manager comes out of the break room to yell at me we’re having a meeting and slams the door in my face while he is eating a donut.
He comes out with an attitude smirking at me so how can I help you. At which point I tell him off, You have customers waiting for scheduled appointments to drop off there vehicles I had an 8:00 appointment not an 8:20 appointment while you stuff your face. At that point he started to log in an take my information.
His name is Drew Miller, he is rude and not very trained. He needs retraining in Safety, Customer Service, and respect for customers. I have been a member of AAA for many years, he is the type of employee who makes you want to take my business elsewhere. Most likely next time I will as there are many service centers within one mile of this place. my membership ID is: 438 212 [protected] 6
Desired outcome: A formal apology in writing from this manager.
Emergency services
I have been a member for 29 years now. Last night I called at 7:30 or so because of keys locked in car. Reference number was 11904. Told about an hour wait. Then about 8 got call saying no drivers available but would be around 10. I said ok and we waited till about 10:30 before calling and then being told that my request was canceled because of no drivers. Had I not called I would have been waiting all night. I did speak with supervisor who told me no emergency service available in my area until sat morning. I set up appointment and told him I was canceling membership if I have no service. Less then a minute after hanging up got call truck was available. Amazing how that works. After 29 years I would expect better service but guess that is how you guys work now. Membership means nothing.
AAA dispatch service
I locked myself out of my truck at 6:45 PM in Lancaster, SC. The temperature outside was 36 degrees and dropping fast (down to 29 degrees). I called dispatch 5 times between 6:45 PM to 10:50 PM. Each time, someone told me that "they were getting someone to come" but would not say exactly where they were looking or what organization. I am not sure if what they were doing was automated or they weren't truly working at all. At one point (around 9:00, on my 4th call), someone told me that the service had been cleared. I was lucky enough that someone that managed the bowling alley knew a guy who was a volunteer fireman. He went and got a "kit" and worked till he got the door open.
The Lancaster police and fire dept. would not help and AAA's service was USELESS. Finally, around 11 PM, a guy called me from A-1 Towing in Charlotte while he was on his way. He told me that he responds as soon as he can because the person stranded, in his mind, could be like his mother or grandmother. He also told me that many times the dispatchers will just state that the service is cleared and do nothing. WHY ARE THEY WORKING FOR AAA? They could cause people to be killed! Please find some caring dispatchers or maybe AAA needs to stop collecting consumers' money!
Desired outcome: Hire new dispatchers and SUPERVISE THEM!!!!
Roadside service
Tuesday, October 11th around 11:00 a.m., I was headed west on Wedgewood Avenue to Cornerstone Financial Credit Union. As I approached the traffic light on 21st Avenue South, my check engine light came on in my car and the car began to shake violently. As I waited on the light to change at 21st Avenue South, I called Accura Automotive and they instructed me to find a place to park the car and have the car towed to them. Since I was close to Cornerstone Financial Credit Union which was my destination, I maneuvered the car into the parking lot and parked the car (in the parking space where I was parked, the sign indicated that there is a parking fee for cars left in Cornerstone’s parking lot after 5:00 p.m.). I went inside of Cornerstone Financial Credit Union at 2115 Blakemore Ave, Nashville, TN 37212 to cash a check and make a deposit at 11:20 a.m. Before I left the bank, I called Triple AAA and arranged for my car to be towed. After placing the initial call to Triple AAA, I was given an estimated arrival time of 1:45 p.m. So, I waited in my car and arranged for a friend to pick me up. As I waited in my friend’s car for the tow truck, I placed another call to Triple AAA at 1:45 p.m. to try to determine if a tow truck was on the way. My follow-up call created some confusion. The operator and/or computer cancelled the first request and entered my follow-up call as an “initial” request. Instead of the estimated arrival time of 1:45 p.m., I was given an estimated arrival time of 4:45 p.m. Triple AAA said they would try to locate the tow truck driver to see if he could arrive sooner and they could not tell me why my initial estimated arrival time was handled incorrectly. As I continued to wait, I placed another call to Triple AAA around 3:45 p.m. and I tried to determine how much longer it would be before the tow truck arrived (again, I was still with my car). Triple AAA could not guarantee the time that the tow truck would arrive so they suggested I leave the car keys underneath the floor mat on the driver’s side of the car and the driver would tow the car to Accura Automotive in LaVergne, TN. The last time I saw my car is in the parking lot at Cornerstone Financial Credit Union at 3:45 p.m. I spoke with Triple AAA and I was informed that my car was towed and arrived at Accura Automotive in LaVergne, TN 10/11/22 at 9:18 p.m. (Accura Automotive closes at 6:00 p.m.). Accura Automotive contacted me 10/12/22 at 8:30 a.m. to provide me with details about the problems related to my car.
In closing, I am very dismayed about the way in which Triple AAA handled my request for towing services. My initial request was not honored and the second request was not honored. Although I waited in my car over 4 hours, it took also 10 hours before my car was towed. As a result, I incurred a parking violation in the amount of $55.25 because I was charged for the car remaining there after 5:00 p.m. I would not have incurred this additional fee if my initial request for towing services was honored. In addition to a financial parking penalty, I waited over four hours with my inoperable car that could not be driven as I waited for the tow truck to arrive. This is outrageous!
Rosemary Theriot
Desired outcome: I want to be reimbursed $55.25 for the parking violation. As a member since 2007, I feel the annual fee should be paid in full March 2023l. I have considered not renewing my membership in 2023.
Denied a tow
My vehicle broke down in a campground near Plush Oregon, there is no cell phone service in the area, so we took our other vehicle and drove to the nearest town, where a business owner allowed us to call AAA. We told the AAA dispatcher that we were broken down at the "Camp Hart Mountain" campground. We were told it take about 2 hours for the truck to arrive, this was about 09:30 AM. We waited (three children, two dogs, and two senior citizens) in the desert and by 3 PM, no truck had arrived, so we drove back to the nearest town and called AAA again, we were informed that AAA cancelled the tow because the tow operator, based on the location the AAA dispatcher told AAA it was an off-road tow. At this point we contacted the tow operator directly, he told us he would respond, and that he had our location (from AAA). Two hours later I saw the tow truck coming and walked out to the highway, the tow operator almost drove past me, but I was able to flag him down. He turned into campground and upon arriving at our vehicle, he said, "This is not where AAA told me you were, they told me you were at the "Campground on Hart Mountain", not Camp Hart Mountain, the campground on Hart Mountain is 20 miles away on top of the plateau and down a 4WD road. AAA should of covered this tow". I paid an almost $700 tow bill. When we got back home I contacted AAA and filed a request for reimbursement, it was denied because according to the representative I was dealing with, the tow operator advised AAA it was an off-road tow. I cannot get AAA to realize that the tow operator was not given our correct location, which is why he said to AAA that it was an off road tow (and AAA cancelled the tow). I was not charged any off-road fees, I can provide all the accompanying e-mails with AAA representative Angelo Nido and the tow bill if needed (AAA has a copy of the bill).
Desired outcome: reimbursement for denied tow.
My aaa all premier services
Good afternoon,
I am very disappointed with your customer service representatives that your company has they were rude and unprofessional. I called because I logged on to my account to find out that I needed to renew my membership when I had already done so and was informed with no valid reason. I never use my trip AAA membership nor was I informed of your termination intentions, I believe that it is very unprofessional on your part to treat someone the way your company has. Not giving any type of reason as to why or any number where we can contact someone in a high position that can respond to my unanswered questions.
If your company is not got to renew me kindly advise how AAA is going to reimburse me for the months you did not cover me.
I look forward to hearing from someone in your company. I may be reached at [protected]@gmail.com or via phone at [protected]
Thank you!
Sincerely,
Diana
Desired outcome: That I can get my membership back.
Tow
11/15/22
We are AAA plus. 7 cars. Got a flat, called at approx 7 pm for tow. 12:30 am (5.5 hours later) got a call saying all of the county had one driver (huge county) and they had no idea when they would get a driver to me. And then said since my car is at a gas station I would be even lower priority because they had many people stranded on the side of the road still waiting as long or longer. So single women whose car is at a gas station for 5.5 hours are low priority because they basically have no drivers. My choice was to risk damage or theft to my 150K Tesla or risk my own life. Nothing about this is OK. This is not what they sell. No one in their right mind would depend on such a service that is non existent.
Desired outcome: warn others, look for an alternative, done with AAA after nearly 20 years.
They allowed someone to use my auto membership and terminated my membership over it & employees said they added fraudulent charges
I have homes in Arizona and Missouri.
AAA cancelled my auto membership after drivers in California allowed someone else to use my card after I complained about one of your employees bullying me in April. Doesn't sound like a coincidence and now I've received a message saying the calls came from my phone when T-Mobile clearly shows no calls were made from my number to AAA after the April incident with the flat tire. AAA fraudulently charged my credit card for charges that weren't mine in California when I've only been in Arizona since Covid. One of the AAA employees (Natalia Lance (?) # [protected] ext. 1063016), called me & left a message stating she had verified that calls came from my number for service calls in California. She then lies and says they came from Arizona. Lying about that when T-Mobile can easily back up my claims that they didn't come from my phone isn't very bright. In 2022, I only called for help in March and April. So Natalia lying and saying there were 5 calls from California that she says I was fraudulently charged for but then leaving me a message and saying it was Arizona? Beyond incompetent. So to recap AAA terminated my contract after fraudulently attributing service calls to my account that weren't mine and according to Natalia charged my credit card for charges that weren't mine.
I also tried calling member services again today and Natalia refused to let me talk to her supervisor
Desired outcome: If they made fraudulent charges to my account for services I didn't ask for they need to be refunded and the membership reinstated.
Unable to change from incompetent sales rep (glen miller - mv agency)
After the closure of my local AAA office in 2019, I was assigned a new rep - MV Agency - who was totally incompetent in handling the No-fault changes & lied to me repeatedly assuring changes to opt-out had been made. If you would like further blow by blows regarding these transactions, I would be happy to oblige. After receiving numerous cancellation threats (did I mention I have been with AAA for over 40+ years?), I requested another local rep (Ed Fry) help me & was told he could do nothing as long as MV was my assigned rep. One final try, I called another local office (AAA Kentwood) who agreed to help me. I was assigned to Seneca Edwards, who corrected my billing problems. I asked (via e-mail & phone) to change my rep to Seneca for all my accounts (membership, home & auto). Half of my next renewal paperwork reflected the correct rep, half were still being credited to Glen Miller (MV Agency). Seneca then apparently left AAA, so I was bounced back to MV (why?). I asked to be assigned to Marcy @ AAA Kentwood, who has apparently replaced Seneca. Both she & her supervisor Karen Sanchez have tried to get this change made repeatedly, but were told changes to reps can only happen @ renewal time. I have been through 4 renewals at least with the same answer being given each time - the next renewal will reflect the change. How hard can it be to change a rep? How can I possibly believe it will ever happen? How can I have confidence that any future claims will be handled correctly, when AAA obviously cannot even handle a change in reps? I suspect some sort of fraud being perpetrated between AAA & MV Agency to keep his income from my accounts flowing. Not anticipating any response, I intend to refer this to the Better Business Bureau & Michigan's Attorney General for further investigation. Please get your act together - I hate to leave AAA, but I can no longer tolerate this level of incompetence.
Desired outcome: Immediately assign Marcy of AAA Kentwood as my agent on all my accounts
Service
I called for a tow at 12:16pm and was told I should expect a driver in 108min's(?). Driver never showed up. I called again at 1:59pm to see what the hold up was and why I had not heard from the driver. This time I spoke to Alicia and was told now the driver would be here at 3:05pm. At this point I am very irritated due to the fact that my mechanic closes shop at 4pm and he lives in So Milwaukee, which is an hour away. I tried to let my frustration and irritation be known to Alicia, but there was no empathy concerning my dilemma. So I am without a car and have to inconvience and interrupt someone's schedule. This is not the first time AAA has taken a non-professional stance when I have requested service. I have been a member since 2001 and expected better service than what I have been receiving.
Desired outcome: Reimbursement of tow and add 2 tows to my plan for the inconvience.
Roadside / customer service
I called and established a new account with AAA on 11/1/2022 for AAA PLUS. The representative instructed me that it would be five days before all the benefits of this plan would take effect. I really needed towing options this is why I invested in this plan. My Cadillac DTS needed a new water pump, and no mechanic in Columbia would touch it. I found a certified mechanic in the Charleston area, where I reside to do the repairs... I called roadside assistance at 9am ish, and they scheduled an 11:52am pick up time from Columbia SC and transported to the mechanic shop in Charleston SC 106 miles away. I waited patiently for some type of correspondence from AAA to let me know status. I proceeded to call AAA at 1:30pm and they told me that tow company that was scheduled cancelled due to distance. But I can call and get a tow company of my choosing to get them tow it. I called around to 20 towing companies and none of them took AAA. Of the towing services that I found they instructed me that they could tow my vehicle and I would have to pay them cash and have AAA reimburse me. No that's not what I'm paying for. So, I finally found a tow company to drive the distance, but I had to call back to AAA and instruct them of the name of the company and the towing companies' information at 2:55pm. Needless to say that my repair appointment was at 2pm. At 3pm I call back to AAA and the young lady on the phone told me that I can pay for it out of pocket and AAA can reimburse me. No, I'm not agreeing to that because I already had to do the job of the customer service rep and the dispatcher for AAA. What away to make a first impression. This was a wasted of time and money.
Desired outcome: Still waiting on services to be rendered @3:13pm on 11/7/2022
Towing and customer service
I have had AAA for 23 years. During those years I probably have not had more than 15 tows.
They have mostly been very cognizant of the weather situation or if I’m in a dangerous area etc. etc. now evidently they don’t give a damn.
I am a 67-year-old widow I don’t have anyone that lives with me I have a sister-in-law that lives 5 miles away most of my friends are already passed on. I went to my sister-in-law’s yesterday afternoon /evening.
I visited with her for about an hour and a half but I digress, I backed up into her driveway and my vehicle was across her vehicle so she couldn’t back out, it made a big perfect T and I was “ in her way”.
I visited with her for a couple of hours then I got up to go home is approximately 730 8 o’clock it was dark. Went out to start my pick up and it made some kind of funny noise and then told darkness no lights no whistles no anything. So I called AAA, they have always been faithful to come to my rescue anytime I call them. I requested a tow they asked what was wrong I told him what happened and they instantly said will send somebody out for your battery. I said I don’t need a new battery just bought one three months ago,0 it’s not even the battery. Finally convinced them that I needed a tow. I waited and waited and waited and waited and waited I finally called them back and they said “we’re trying, we really are trying. I said OK, I live in a rural area, there’s several small towns nearby but nothing right up my alley.
They called me back and said “can you give us the name of some small towns near you?” I gave them the name of five small towns near me. I waited and I waited again, finally I called them back and they said we can’t get anybody to come out. And I said what? They repeated it……….. we can’t get anybody to come out tonight. And I asked did you call around all those cities? oh yes nobody would answer and the ones that answered don’t want to come out.
I tried to explain to these people that I couldn’t get home because I have my sister-in-law‘s car blocked and she has to go to work in the morning. They said well we’re really sorry but nobody will come out. I need to insert this…the whole time I was on hold last night which was a long time and this morning which was a longer time…. this advertisement kept playing, the man kept saying ask about the $27 membership fee as a gift from you to someone else. Went on to say that it was $27 for a full year as a gift from me to someone else. And since I had never had bad things happen with AAA I asked about that. No one there knows anything about it. I told them……call the number and get placed on hold it’ll pop up, believe me and they actually acted like I was lying to them. The advertisement said $27 for a full year as a gift from you to someone else.
They kept putting me to a different phone number, three times I’ve been hung up on today. The last lady I spoke with ASSURED ME that a man over in promotions named JOSEPH would call me right back… that was an hour ago. It is 1:40 PM now and I started calling at 8:00….. And I have to admit I’ve thrown a couple of hissies. But that is not like customer service to tell a lie and say that there is no one that could come out, last night if I had of been on the highway, I would’ve just had to slept in my truck, along the highway.
And to LIE to me and say there is no promotion for $27.00, and act as though I AM THE PROBLEM.
THEN….. I waited until this morning to call them again. And they told me I have to have a photo ID at the vehicle when they come to pick it up. And I said look folks, my photo ID is with me I am 5 miles away from my pick up and everybody I know is at work we don’t have taxis out here in the boondocks I have no way of getting there to show my ID. And I said, look at my record it’s not like I’m having people towed randomly and when you get there you can check my license plate it is registered to me, it’s my truck.
They repeatedly said,”When you can be there with an ID, call us and we will dispatch a driver.”
When I Asked to be connected to the department where I can get my money back for my years membership fee because I just paid it last month. I was connected to one person and he started in about I needed a photo ID at the truck again. I told him I did not want to speak with him, please get me a supervisor.
Frankly I don’t think there are any supervisors there, I think they just hand it to someone else and say, here you take care of it.
👹
I have been repeatedly lied to today I’ve been told 10 different things and nobody can seem to get it together. I will never have AAA again, ever, I have been a faithful subscriber for 23 years and they don’t give a damn.

13 hours before a tow.
On the 29th of October 2022, we had the worst of service we had ever had with AAA.
My husband’s truck, a, 2000 F250 Ford Diesel was traveling westbound on I-10 in Florida. The truck was pulling a Coachman Classic Travel bumper pull travel trailer following me in my F350 Dually Diesel. We were traveling to our destination in Louisiana. Around 8:00 a.m. that day, As I went through Tallahassee, and was at Exit 194, I noted that he was not behind me. Moments later he called with trouble with the 250 truck that had quit running.
I went to the next exit, turned around and found him at the side of the road at mile marker 196 (Capital Circle) westbound on I-10. I pulled in behind him and then walked to the front of his truck. I noted a large engine oil slick that was in front of and under his truck. Engine oil had leaked out of the truck. When we lifted the hood, engine oil had sprayed all over the engine compartment.
Around 8:00 a.m., My husband got his AAA card out (platinum RV plan card) and phoned AAA for road service for the truck and travel trailer. And no towing service could be found through AAA. Twice at least, service scheduled then was declined by the AAA providers. Per our Premium Platinum plan, the service was to tow both the truck and the travel trailer back to our residence. Per the texts were received on my phone, there was road service towing help on the way. But that never happened. AAA kept on calling my phone, (I was driving back and forth from exit 196 to our residence) rather than his. Then we found out that towing providers that are AAA providers network were refusing to service the calls.
The most frustrating part was all day long while I was driving back and forth, from our residence and back to the disabled truck and my husband waiting for help. AAA kept on calling my phone number. (I was driving back home at at that time) instead of calling my husbands’ number, whom was at on the side of the interstate with the disabled truck. After my husband waiting 6 hours for help, we started calling the Florida Highway Patrol. Whom gave us a list of towing companies.
After many unsuccessful calls to secure a towing service. We found out that AAA had changed their coverage. Instead of 150 miles of travel trailer towing, AAA reimburses up to 500 dollars for towing. We decided to take my truck 100 miles back and then come back to pick up the travel trailer and travel 100 miles back to our residence. Then have the disabled F250 towed to our residence in order to have time to go to a local diesel certified repair shop. Calls to AAA were frustratingly long and un-resolved. My husband has been waiting on the side of the interstate for 10 hours by this time. We did NOT want to leave the vehicle un-attended. This is totally unacceptable. We were worried about the traffic, especially after dark, and especially my husband who is 79 years old being left on the highway with no help available for him for TEN HOURS. Now, is this the type substandard of road service that it the normal for AAA? My husband finally got an out of AAA tow truck at around 11:00 p. m that evening. FIFTEEN hours later, my husband finally arrived to our residence at 1:20 a.m. on the 30th of October, 2022 by the tow truck driver, whom was very professional with the disabled truck on his roll back towing truck.
After a THIRD AAA provider declined the service. Finally, we found a company out of network that would charge an affordable fee to tow our truck to our residence. Included is the bill for the service. If I were to rate AAA’s service, Would call it a minus 0000. The continuous mix-ups over the phone number, the many times we tried to call and got no satisfactory answers to our dilemma have had us decide that AAA is not what is used to be. The quality of AAA service has declined greatly and the errors in communication on AAA’s part were un-acceptable. We expect to be fully reimbursed for the fees and the cost of milage back to our residence. The stress we had to deal with in this situation was considerable.
Desired outcome: Reimbursement for towing, ( 535.00) . Fuel costs for 150 miles (diesel), having to drive back and forth to pick up the travel trailer.
It must be in the water. I had a similar experience yesterday 11-01-22. I am STILL trying to get resolution.
They left me,a 67 year old widow woman STRANDED. Said they couldn’t get anyone to come out at 9:00 PM last night.
Then they had the audacity to insist I be with the vehicle with my photo ID. I tried to explain to the idiots that I was 5 miles away from the truck I have no other vehicle and no one to take me to show them my ID AAA has gone straight to hell in a handbasket.
Non resolution of vehicle issue
September 14,2022 at 10:00 AM, AAA sent a company to provide battery service for my car. The person did not have the skills for the task which resulted in damages to my vehicle ($2,412.20). The company was Freedom Towing and Recovery. I made AAA aware and was informed by them that if the company did not assume financial responsibility fro the damages, AAA would intervene on my behalf. I was given a service ID number(288821) on Sept. 16,2022 by AAA. I called the company on Sept 21,2022 and was given another reference number(105518). AAA also had the field service representative employee to contact me who informed me that the towing company had their own damage claims control department. However, when the towing company continued to ignore my request, I once again reached out to AAA. I contacted them on Oct.21, 2022 and was told someone from AAA would be contacting me. As of this date October 28,2022 I have not heard from AAA. I am appalled that AAA would contract services with a company with incompetent employees as well as not intervening on my behalf as they informed they would.

Roadside Assistance
On 10-08-22 I added my niece to my AAA account because she was visiting and had car trouble in the middle of a park after an event. A call was made at 430pm and all dues were paid. We were told the driver would call when he was near. That call never happened and when we inquired we were told that he could not get access due to an event and the roads were blocked. I tld them I got in and advised which street(the one closest to where we were) was accessible. numerous phone calls back and forth as we waited with no ETA after that. We left that dark park(only women by the way) at 830 and AAA still had not shown up. I called to get my $60 refunded and of course got the managers "shappeal "of nothingness. Seeing that it was pointless I disputed it with my cc and cnacelled this useless, lack of service, failing to deliver membership.
Desired outcome: My refund for a service you all never delivered and still keep making excuses as to why
Incorrect renewal cost
In August of 2022 I received the notice for renewal my Insurance with Triple AAA which the 330.00 monthly fee and plus the extra 420.00 for renewal, I contacted the customer service rep, and he says ithe new cost is based off of estimation, I said how could you estimate based off of 2 days a week there are two cars on the policy not one time did he or she explain the odometer disclosure by law, which when you purchase a new car or transfer a car. How you could you request a odometer disclosure for older car. The next rep, I spoke to a week ago, says, we cannot do anything until you paid the past due, 858.00, and I said why would I pay past due if I requested and asked questions regarding the odometer disclosure, law, she could not explain the inclusion nor the exclusion of the policy The last response I received the Complaint rep, the issue will be look into and after the 858.00 is paid. The complaint will be investigated. I feel should not pay the amount in question into I have answer, which I had been requesting. and the person says, I might get refunded once I send the odometer reading and first of all my car, is older than ten years old and not selling it nor transferring
I know there is outstanding debt, but not the amount they are requesting without addressing my initial complaint about the odometer disclcosure and as a consumer, I have right to request
Desired outcome: I appreciate a correction and explanation on the calculations and they are not in compliance with the odometer disclosure law
Information being told untruthfully at the time of the incident.
I was stranded on RT 50 near Landover Rd from 3:30 pm to 9:00 pm. Was told my car was going to Walmart to get my tire replaced, but they were closed so they said they would tow my car home since I have Premier AAA. I said you know this is 2 hours away and they read the address back to me. said you have Premier AAA. My wife offered to pick me up, but I said car was being towed home. Then, when drop off was different I had to call my wife to pick me up. Apparently, the other associate didn't update the system. Not my issue, just wanted to get home. Everyone seemed nice, but info never matched up. Last person I talked to was great, but it now 8:30 pm and too late. So, I was left in danger on the road, I Pay for a Premier service (not so Premier now), no contractor was called to replace the local driver since it was supposed to be a drive home tow, have to take a vacation day to get car and no supervisor has never called me back. If they did then they called on the one way call back number. Right now, I don't think I want this service anymore and probably will not renew for the next year.
Desired outcome: Truthful information on timeliness of pick-up and drop-off location. Now I have to take a vacation day to go get my car that was towed to a tire service center only open M-Friday which is 2 hours away.
Roadside Assistance
10/17/22 6:25 to 10:25 pm
My car died at a gas pump at a gas station. I called Triple AAA 7 times to get Roadside Assistance. The first Tow Truck cancelled at around 8 pm. I received one call back after 3 hours, to tell me there were no Tow Trucks to help me. My options were to either call the Police and have them help me, or hire an Independent Tow Truck and Triple AAA would reimburse me. I hired an Independent Tow Truck and they came to help me in 30 minutes. This was a 4 and 1/2 hour ordeal, that could have been resolved in 2 hours.
Desired outcome: Apology, a discount, and to be reimbursed.
Roadside service
Ran out of diesel fuel on my truck today and called AAA roadside service to have fuel brought out. Agent said someone will be contacting me soon with an estimated time. After 30 minutes an agent from AAA called and informed me, they couldn't bring diesel fuel because it was due to their policy. My grandson and I walked miles to nearest gas station and purchased a fuel container and got diesel fuel and walked back to truck and got it restarted.
When I got back home, pulled up AAA website and there was no mention on a prohibition on diesel fuel. Spent another 30 minutes with customer no service with AAA and they said they changed the policy 2 months ago and haven't updated their website since then!
This is the APEX of poor customer service!
Desired outcome: Policy changes need to be current and communicated to members, reimbursement for fuel container and compensation for the frustration and long walk.
Flat tire request
On 9/5/2022 I was in Jackpot Nevada. I called about 8am in the morning, making many calls to AAA. There was a problem with who I should call as I was in Nevada and they tried to get help out to me. In total, I was there for 7 hours, with no help from the AAA breakdown service. I was outside the hotel I was staying at for a total of 7 hours.
After 4 hours I called Les Swabe in Twin Falls, Idaho which was less than one hour from me and they said that they could come out to me and take care of my flat tire, which had a nail in... I told them that I had AAA and could not help as they do not contract with AAA. After AAA cancelled that breakdown service as they were not available, I called Les Swabe Tires and they came out to help with the tire which had a nail in. (7 hours later) they fixed the tire for me and I was on my way. The cost of the service from jackpot to twin falls to fix the tire was $269.98.
I have been with AAA for 40 years and never had a problem. What has happened to your service. I am so upset and will not re-new my membership. My wife was ready to cancel my vacation. A copy of this notice will be sent to the President of the company.
