Lack of customer service
I went to Smyrna AMC yest. Was seen by NP & given list of supplements 2 take along w current antib . I had ? About dosage of one of the supplements & tried ☎️. It rang & rang. Called 30+ times. So drove back to AMC & commented 2 front desk. Her reply was "oh I don't answer 📞" That is not acceptable. [protected].

I went to AFC for a major headache and when I walked thru the door I noticed that the lady behind the desk did not acknowledge me, but every one else was spoken too. I proceeded to check in and sat down and waited to be seen. For 1 1/2 hrs, I patiently waited for the other guests to be called that arrived before me. Than I noticed 2 guests that had came after me were also called. I Than went up to the lady to ask her why I was not called yet. She was very unprofessional and acted like she either didn't care or wasn't concerned. I know they close at 8 but we were there before 7 and we should not have had to sit there for almost 2 hrs to be called. I could have went to the ER and been seen faster. After I was the only one left in the waiting room, no one came to get me or check on me I decided I had enough and told the lady to cancel my name and I left. I also was with my wife who is of a different race, so I feel there was discrimination shown as well.

07/22/2021 I walked in, signed in at 1:15. I was given clip board and told to fill it out and wait until I was called back up.
35 minutes later I was called up and given an iPad thing to sign in.
When I ask about it the receptionist was rude. Maybe this place could hire more people-
The ridiculous wait times wouldn't be so bad-
The lobby was full of people who needed covid test and we were all just sitting here, clearly they are short handed, and better people skills training.
This is not the first time- it's same crap every time I come here.
Last time I walked out after sitting two hours.

Shor administered unknowleading which is causing major issues
Went to the Dothan location on 231 June 4, 5 or 6th, forgot, and was in there for a sinus infection. I know my body. Wanted rocephin shot for the issue, even told the doc that, was given ceftiaxone instead. Now i have blood clots in both lungs, pain in back and front left side of rib cage, and other issues. Your doc gave me this issue unknowingly..

Billing mistake.
I went to AFC urgent care on 4/3/21. I had a DOT physical which I paid 150 dollars in cash. I recieved a bill for 20 dollars for methylprednisolone sodium succinate 120mg. It is an injectable drug. I did not get any shots or drugs. Billing department will not return my calls. I sent the bill explaining my situation. They just sent me another bill for 20 dollars.

1-13-21 came to get a prescription refilled. This is the 3rd time in 4 days I've been here. There were about 10 people waiting outside in the cold at 7:45 am, a time they told ya to be here. One receptionist, Antoinette did not let us into the clinic u til 8:05. Once inside they didn't have all their iPads ready to go. Once we got them they did t have the user name and password unlocked for us. These are the rudest people I've ever met. The waiting time every time you come in here and lack of leadership, work ethic and compassion for patient makes this place a dump. I will never be back, but since there is such a medical crisis you probably don't care since some people don't have any other option. This is a prime example of what is wrong with healthcare in this country. I also didn't have a copay and had to have a copy of a copt of a credit/debit card on file...I just needed prescription refills. It's 8:4 am and not one of the 10 patients here have been waited in. I worked for AFC for about 4 years. First 3 were ok. Than management changed. I never been cross trained. Other people have. Low pay other people got paid more with way less experience. Than i put in my notice. I had over 100 hours of PTO left. You get it paid out after u worked ur 14 day notice. I was 1 day short because of illness. Did not get a dime. I told the upper management that i was a loyal employee for 4 years never called out never been late always cane in on days off if needed. She said thats wonderful! And the way they handle covid. Its no social distancing covid test patients are with regular patients in the waiting area.

I had a Covid test 08/05/2020 and prior to the test was assured they took my health insurance of Medicare plus a Secondary Insurance of Anthem Blue Cross. I received a bill on 09/18/2020 for $268. I called and spoke to a person called David and he assured me it would be taken care of! Today I received another bill this time for $318! Why has this not been sent to my Insurance?

Please be aware of what your medical insurance will and will not cover.
Recently obtained a second job as a registered nurse and needed a COVID test as part of pre employment process. I made the appointment...was under the assumption that I would be coming in to see the physician (and then she/he would order a screening)...come to find out that this was a "telemedicine" visit. Per my insurance company, telemedicine visits were not covered. Didn't want to get charged for something that was not covered. I made the mistake of relaying my concerns to the medical assistant. Which turned out to be quite a mistake.
The medical assistant was very rude and arrogant ~ said she'd, "ax the owners about my concerns." She assured me that my visit would be covered, saying not to worry. Yea, well... the physician turned out to be quite sketchy. Even thought it was a phone conversation, something didn't sit right with me. Come to find out that I was billed for an office visit as opposed to a telemedicine visit (so that everything would be covered). I did send an email to Aetna and as of today I'm still waiting for a response from them regarding this matter.
Either way, if I do or don't have to pay for their mistakes... I wanted to put this out there for someone else who may not realize how dishonest this company is (especially the Warrington location) — what if someone else went in for services that weren't covered by insurance and they didn't know. What if AFC tried to scam their insurance company too... (why should someone pay for negligence of the company/its employees...isn't it the responsibility as well as most ethical thing to do from the start - be informed/honest as to what services your medical insurer will and won't cover)... all they seem to care about is money. Just a guess on my part, but wondering if their staff are even compensated fairly for their skills ~ are they all underpaid?
If they aren't honest about insurances (what they cover vs what won't they cover, etc), what else are they hiding?
Entire experience
2 hour 15 minute wait & was told once I'm called there's no exam room available. Suggested I use Telecare to schedule time; would then be "very quick"! No apology, no recognition of their FUBAR system. When I loudly expressed my total disdain for this experience, I was told they would not deal with me & closed the door. Absolutely horrible customer service. Again, American Family Care is FUBAR. Disgusting!
No tests done at all!
I went in today to be seen for abdominal pain since my period I having a lot of pain in hips, back & bloating. I went here because it said it had testing available in which I felt I needed. Blood work, urine & a pelvic exam. This nurse practitioner didn't offer any & in fact when I asked about blood she said her machine wasn't working. I mean if I would've known that I wouldn't have came so basically off my complaints so says I need to take iron in which she has no blood work to back up & nausea & muscle relaxers saying I may need to have my uterus out I mean I wanted to at least do some tests. I will be looking into fighting this charge however much it is cause I left out with not getting anything but some prescriptions.
