Propane delivery
I called AmeriGas, to come and refill my 120 gallon propane cylinder, which they own, as per our service agreement. The customer service woman told me 10 to 14 days until they could get to me and fill my propane tank. I called them, as our service agreement terms specify, when the tank is at 30% capacity. My wife is disabled and does not do well, when there is no heat or the heat runs out. Told the customer service woman that, and it still did not make a difference. She said "If you run out of propane, call us, and we can have someone there, that same day". This was on February 11, 2021. I looked out through my living room window that afternoon, and saw an AmeriGas propane delivery truck, drive up the hill past my driveway. AmeriGas told me "they are short handed, the covid virus is causing problems for them and 10- 14 days, was the best that they could do". It seems to me, that they are trying to extort the emergency delivery fee, which is $200 on top of the cost of your propane delivery. Now if they are short handed, why does their personnel problem all of a sudden change, when they can charge you and additional $200 for your propane delivery? I called them, upon seeing their propane delivery truck drive by, the same day that I spoke with them and heard their made up excuses, and cancelled my service and told them, that they may come and pickup their propane tank and their services were no longer needed. There was 25 % propane, still left in their tank, legally, I should be credited that back to me, that's about $75 worth of propane. Then they had the gall, to send me a bill for a $74 service call, for picking up their propane tank. This is not only crooked, this is just wrong and dishonest. How many nice little old ladies, are they currently ripping off, with their shady business operations? I moved their propane tank, from off of my back porch, and placed it at a safe level place along my driveway, for AmeriGas to pickup at their leisure, I saved their driver all of the labor and aggravation to pickup their tank and disconnect it. All their driver had to do was, slide the tank two feet onto his hydraulic tailgate and lift the cylinder onto his truck. I told the driver about the %25 remaining in the tank and also took a picture of the tank gauge showing how much it still had in it. The replacement propane company, had no problem, whatsoever coming the next day, hooking up their tank, and filling it.
Desired outcome: I would like the $75.00 refunded back to me,for the propane that was still in their propane tank, that they took back, and I WILL NOT PAY FOR THEIR BOGUS SERVICE CALL CHARGE
Delivery of propane
We were a auto fill customer that got missed on several occasions. We called several times to try and get delivery and kept getting the run around. This shouldn't be how you handle an auto fill customer during when it's their fault for missing our initial delivery. Now we are having an ice storm and facing snow coming. And now no one can tell us when the propane will be delivered.
Desired outcome: Propane delivery resumes
Propane not received
We have been a customer since 2013, buying large amounts of propane for our 131 acre camping resort in Illinois so when we purchased a home in Kissimmee, Florida we thought it only logical to use AmeriGas for our propane supplier. We added our home to our account in December of 2020, where we use propane to heat our pool but also for our gas stove in our home. We have had nothing but problems ever since. We are constantly lied to every time we call in for a delivery. We asked to be put on a keep filled list but that hasn't happened either. This past week we called in on Monday, February 1, we were told we would have a delivery on Thursday, February 4, when we didn't receive the delivery we called in again and were told we would receive a delivery on Saturday, February 6, when we didn't receive it we called in again and got the emergency line. This time we were told that we would receive a call first thing Monday morning with what time the truck would be here on Monday. We just spent 45 minutes on the phone with customer service only to be told we will receive a delivery on Tuesday. This is not acceptable, we had guests here all last week and couldn't use our pool because of lack of heat. Further when we spoke to Roxanne in the Orlando office on Thursday, she promised delivery on Saturday but also said if we did not receive it to call the ER line on Saturday and they would bring it right out with no extra er fee. When we spoke to the er line on Saturday, we talked to Mandy in an office in North Carolina and she said she would send an email for emergency fill but that it would not be seen until Monday. How is that an emergency fill contact? Where is the customer service they talk about on their message? This company is a joke!
Desired outcome: Service
Amerigas
These people straight up lie to you on the phone. You will wait sometimes 30 minutes or more to get an agent on the phone. To be told the propane delivery will be in the next 24 hours. 18 phone calls, 26 days later still no propane. If I didn't have a woodstove I would be out of propane in the middle of winter.Whatever you do go with a different company. Worst customer service I've ever seen in my entire life.
Desired outcome: Deliver propane as promised

This is a letter I'm sending to Amerigas.

Dear Sirs,
I have been an Amerigas customer forever, however, about a month ago I was forced to find another supplier.
After not having a delivery since last May, I started calling in December, and after several conversations with your customer support, but no deliveries, I found a local supplier who was able to set me up with a new tank and delivery, within 2 days. I only did this after completely running out of propane.
After I was set up with my new supplier, I again called your customer support to request that your tank be picked up. To date I haven't heard back.
I'm sure that this 400 gallon tank has some value to you, but to me it's just taking up space.
Please let me know when I can expect the tank to be picked up.
Sincerely
Gary Harris

No Delivery but lots of promises
Like SO many others, I have been calling for weeks (since Jan 11, 2021) telling them that I am critically low. I am on auto-fill AND auto-pay. They have several hundred dollars of my money but I have no propane. I tell them it is the source of heat for my house, cooktop, and hot water. I am told that my ticket will be elevated, that they will have a supervisor call me, that I will have gas within 48 hrs, that they guarantee that I won't run out... Well, it's all lies. None of that has happened. I understand that they are missing drivers due to COVID but this is Jan 2021! There should AT LEAST be emergency management plans in place. Nope, same old lines every time.
Desired outcome: Fire all management?? Do your jobs? Pay for the hotel I am going to have to go to?
Propane delivery
I have been an Amerigas customer for years. We are on automatic delivery. My delivery was suppose to be 12/29/2020. I am still waiting and it is 01/26/21. I have been completely out of gas for 5 days now. I live in the Northeast and it is COLD. We are expecting snow and single digits in the next day or so. I had to go out and buy electric heaters to somewhat keep my house from freezing pipes. Not to mention the electric bill. I have call at least 2-3 times a day saying we would expedite it, double expedite it, triple expedite it. I have been on the emergency delivery list for 6 days with no response. Now when I call I can not even get through. This is unacceptable! What do I need to do to get a propane delivery.
Desired outcome: PROPANE DELIVERY
No delivery
Barely been a year since getting Amerigas service, the company I had before was always late if they show up at all to fill my tank. I live in snow country, so it's very cold. I'm disabled 58 yrs old, cold causes me extreme pain. I'm trying to move to warmer climate, but thanks to COVID-19 and lack of $ I'm stuck. When first ordering Amerigas I was told they...

I have called AmeriGas I have called AmeriGas since November 17, 2020 after that I started calling him about five times a day. Then I got really mad and then after the first week of December I started just called and our after hour, and was told ETA an hour ETA five hours tomorrow by the end of the day, this is crazy so I called blue flame on January 6 and the man told me they would have someone out here in an hour, so the guy was here in 45 minutes. I've called AmeriGas multiple times to pick up their tank, today is the 19th of Jan, the tank is still in my side yard with a note to take away, I'm done with you, blue flame is also 1/2 the price, the tank I have was very rusty and the gas line has tiny holes in it, it was not safe to operate, I'd u need propane call Blueflame, AmeriGas left me here to freeze with no hot water,
Desired outcome: Already done
I have the similar Issue. After 15 years of service from our local office . I have received several reasons why they can not fill me 1000 gallon capacity tank. Alturas, Ca. / California Pines Ca.
We need tanks to be picked up and close account
Beginning last November 5, 2020, a decision was made to close my Amerigas account [protected] thru the local branch office. However I was not able to make phone contact. My wife found a phone number online and she has talked with 5 different people starting on Nov. 5, Nov. 11, Nov. 16, Dec. 1 Dec. 21 2020 and was told each time a request would be made to...

On wednesday 1/6/21 I ordered gas for our heat stating that we were empty. I was told the order would be expedited! I called everyday to check on delivery status with 30 degree temp & snow... Everyday I was told that my order would be expedited but no gas & no contact from amerigas. I called on tuesday 1/12/21 to check on delivery status and there was nothing pending, so I talked to an associate & was told that the order must have been cancelled! So they put in another order for emergency gas and still here I am on thursday 1/14/21 at 2:41pm and I have not heard anything from them at all! We have been freezing and nobody at amerigas seems to care at all! I asked the associate today if they could communicate with the delivery person to make sure I got gas & he told me he could send an email to driver. That was this morning and I have not heard anything from the delivery person! We rent this tank from amerigas so I can't get anyone else to deliver gas... I'm at their mercy & they couldn't care less! Everyone is usually nice on the phone when I call, but nothing gets the gas delivered!
Desired outcome: I want/need propane gas!!!!!
Customer service
Could not get timely deliveries or in some cases at all
Would be told that delivery would come on a certain day but it did not
Site scheduling versus on the phone scheduling times were not in sync
Was told twice that a resolution customer service person would contact me, never happened
Sent three requests into the website to cancel our account, no response
Called to cancel and have tanks picked up - was on hold for 30 minutes, finally got someone on the phone to cancel. This was over a week ago and no one has to pick up the tanks
Propane deliver
I have an account with Amerigas with 2 properties associated with it. One of the properties I converted to a long term rental with the lessees responsible for the propane. I called in June to cancel service at that property. Amerigas is still making deliveries and charging my account. Repeated phone calls, emails and chats have occurred with no resolution. Amerigas is willing to offer me a payment plan for the $900 bill that is their mistake.
Desired outcome: Zero out the account balance.
Horrible customer service!
We are a healthcare center. Ran out of propane on Friday, was told that they would fill the tank that day. No one showed up on Friday. Called Monday and spent nearly 2-hrs trying to get this resolved. Was disconnected twice, placed on hold for an additional 25 min, then told we can't guarantee we can come out same day, really! I explained that we see patients including elderly and children, didn't seem to matter. The worst customer service I've ever experienced.
Won’t deliver
I ordered propane in November and they won't deliver it! I have called several times and emailed them. Customer service finally answered after a 52 min wait and said they would deliver by end of December. Still haven't showed up and it's January 8th. Totally unacceptable!
Desired outcome: Deliver my propane!!
Lack of delivery of propane
We are under contract with Amerigas. Requested delivery on December 11, using online option and have confirmation number [protected] for delivery by 12/21. It is now January 8. We called on 12/28, 12/30 and 1/5. Each time we were promised "tomorrow" but still no delivery. Called again on 1/6 in the evening and was told "expedited", probably tomorrow. Still no delivery. We turned it off at two percent to avoid safety issues associated with running it out. I tried the email option 1/6, but got no response other than the auto reply indicating receipt. I used the chat function yesterday, and was again promised "expedited".
We are trying to manage with a space heater, but it is not really adequate.
Desired outcome: Delivery of the propane
Delivery
On 12/15/2020 I purchased $400 of propane gas which was suppose to be delivered between 12/16 and 12/24/2020. It is now 1/8/2021 and I still don't have my gas. I have completely run out of gas over a week ago. I have been calling about my delivery since 12/24/20. Every time I call the customer rep tells me they will send my delivery to escalation unit which...

I ordered Propane from Amerigas on December 7, 2020. I have been a customer for 28 years in good standing. It is now December 31, 2020. I still have not received propane after numerous calls. They now hang up on me when I call to see my status. In June of 2020 I paid Amerigas a 150.00 contract fee for lock in price and 10 business day delivery. They have...

CVS Pharmacy at 8520 Camp Bowie W Fort Worth, TX 76116 has no key to open the AmeriGas cage for over 2 months now. I drove to 2 more CVS locations and both were out of gas. CVS says that AmeriGas will have to bring a new key.
Propane Service
We ordered propane on Dec 21st and paid the $200 expedite fee to ensure we had heat and hot water for Christmas. They did not deliver within the 48 hr timeline. I called 3 times on the 24th and was told a supervisor would call me. Needless to say, I didn't get a call back and had no propane for Christmas. I called again on the 26th and was told a delivery hadn't been scheduled yet and the supervisor would call me. I still was not called back. On the 27th I called again and the call center person told me it was still on process and that she would put me on the emergence order list. Even having an Autistic child didn't get me service. Ridiculous.
Desired outcome: Delivery of propane; refund of expedite fee; and a discount.
I have had he same issue, sent order in the 18th, very low on propane, one customer service person, told me lie after lie, called back the next day and ask to speak to the "retention" dept, person was nice, but more lies, she said she would put me on the expedite list and I would get propane by the first of this week. Didn't happen. So after reading the 102 reviews with the same issues, I am going to cancel this group, after being with Servigas for 18 years, and never having an issue like Amerigas gives to its customers. Was wondering if this company is run by liberals, and if you remember they promised to make life difficult for all those that voted conservative, so am wondering how many on this list are conservative. I am going to file a complaint with State General Attorneys office, the BBB, and look for the regulating dept that over looks how these propane companies, because this is absolutely terrible. People could freeze to death without a way to heat their homes, and not fire places or stoves.
