I purchased a used 2013 Toyota P/U. At delivery I brought to their attention that the PS pump was bad, they replaced it. That did not correct the issue it still had the same whine issue. Then they stated that it was the alternator and it was not covered because of normal wear and tear. Would that not be the same as the PS pump? This was all brought to their attention within the 90 warranty. I had the alternator replaced and still did not correct the noise issue. Now that the 90 days were up and I still had the issue I took the truck to my local Toyota dealer. Within an hour they called and stated that the PS pump was shot and the incorrect fluid was in the system. Makes me wonder if it was actually replaced. I have the pump Toyota removed in my possession. Next I brought all my documentation and receipts to the service manager and all told me was.. I should have brought the vehicle back and they could have done something. As I stated above I did just that! What I feel is that I gave them every opportunity to correct the issue and they blew me off. They also removed the receipt from my packet for the PS pump as if to hide something. All this transpired between May 5, 2023 and the first part of July 2023. I have even sent copies via registered mail to the office 3+ weeks ago and have not receive any type of communications.
Desired outcome: I am an honest person and do not expect any more that what I feel I deserve. I am seeking reimbursement for the PS pump, flushing of the system and alternator replacement for a total of $1800.00.
