I have used the free avast version for years, and it's always 'selling' me on buying up. I elected the 3 year 'deal' for the Avast Cleanup Premium. I installed, had to uninstall, reinstalled several times. once it finally installed correctly my computer speed was horrible, I did the 'clean up' process with the software, and if anything the computer speed was worse. I don't spend a lot of time on my computer, and after working all day I really don't feel like dealing with computer issues. Today, after about 6 weeks into buying this 'added' protection I uninstalled the product. My computer was once again working great, so I TRIED to cancel the subscription. I had to chat for over an HOUR to get them to let me cancel the auto renew on the subscription. I was told to look for an email in two years and 9 months, once renewal was closer! after getting upset, and stating I would be posting unfavorable reviews, they FINALLY removed the auto-renewal. No refund of course, because it had been 30 days. A waste of $200, but a bigger waste of time. My 'free' Avast is off my computer as well. Based on my experience today.
