Last week I had "Avast Internet Secuity" installed. The software prevented my PC from starting. When I called the free phone number, my PC was taken over by the software vendor to chill the registry for the solution to the problem. To this end, I had to pay 60 $ which I refused. Because I did not want the software anymore, I asked to uninstall it. This was done promptly so I am free to ask you to return my money.

I contacted 'Customer support' a few days ago, because I could no longer send replies to my Gmail emails. My message clearly said the problem was to do with Gmail. I then waited a few days, got a reply asking me which email provider I was using... What a waste of time. By this time I'd got the answer from the Gmail Forum, which was to disable the Avast signature, which indeed solved the problem. The point is, what if I hadn't been smart enough to go on the Gmail forum? I would have waited days for your reply, and then yet more days, for what? Another stupid question?
Your 'Customer support', in this instance, was not only worthless, but insulting. Shame on you.

I was looking at my bank account online I noticed I had a charge of $59.99 which was made on April 21, 2017 from Dri Avast software Minnetonka Min. I D #[protected] ticket # 796278 . I haven't renewed nor have I made a mistake in ordering anything from Avast software this year. I called to request a refund on April 27, 2017 the person that I talked with tried to sell me a new software package that cost $149.00. He tried to download the software package . I checked my computer later on there was no software on my computer from avast. There is a symbol of the program when I click on it shows that there is no program located on my computer. I called back on April 28, 2017 The person I talked to on Friday when giving him my information couldn't find any information of me calling about my complaint on April27, 2017. He told me how to make a request for a refund. I call back this Saturday April 29, 2017 to ask about my refund. I want my money of $59.99 to be refunded back into my account immediately. It is illegal to take money from somebody account without their permission. The person I talked to on Saturday stated that I made a purchase last year in May but my cost was $14.99 it was not an automatic renewal. The software package I have with them renewal is for the month of May not April, They took it upon themselves to renew the package without my permission. I want all of my $59.99 refunded asap.

Until now have been unable to locate a site to complain re above. On 16.10.2016 my HSBC credit card was debited with £Sterling 29.99 and paid on 18.10.16. To my knowlege I received no advice about this charge and do not know what it covers. I would like this matter investigated and refunded to my account ensuring this does not happen again. anti virus program upgrade
On September I purchased this software on my Capital One Credit card. I thought it had downloaded and I had protection since it did come up on my screen as Avast and kept telling me I was Protected! I did not realize it was still on Free Virus program since I paid for the UPGRADE and it appeared on my Capital one bill in October. I am a senior citizen and not very savvy when it comes to computers so to my dismay it was not downloaded as they said it was. I just only found that out today when I got a virus and was told I did not have the protection? On 2/4/16 avast-nexway charged my account $39.99 for a product renewal that I did not even order. I contacted my bank and informed them. During their investigation they discovered this company had also charged me $39.99 on 2/5/15 for renewal also. I did not realize they had done this more than one time. These charges were not authorized and I have called the number my bank gave me and when I call it avast tells me I must go online to get my refund. I have been fighting to get my money back since February 5, 2016. My ticket #315128 for my dispute with avast-nexway. I keep getting a run around from them. I want my full refund back for both charges totaling $79.98. I will be going to the US Attorney General later today if I do not get a response and my refund. I have waited long enough for my refund. By the looks of it I am not the only one this has happened to and continually happens. This company needs to be stopped immediately. When I call to speak to a human about my claim I am told that I can not talk to anyone and that it all has to be done through email. I WANT MY MONEY BACK. I have had the free Avast for a few months, and decided to cancel and purchase McAfee. I was notified by Avast that there was an automatic renewal in place. I contacted them and advised that I did not order a paid version to begin with, so how can there be an auto renewal. I'm waiting to see how they handle this, since I have received no reply from them.

Installed Avast Free Mac Security on my iMac. After a week of use the computer started to work very slowly. Couldn't understand why. Then later checked ono Activity Monitor that Avast processes uses 99% of Mac's CPU. Removed Avast Antivirus Software, everything fine now. Just a little warning for those who's Mac suddenly started to freeze. First step, remove Avast Security. Regards

Back in 2014 I purchase an online Anti virus . I received on email 12/3/14 that my debit card was expired and I needed to update my information. I did not updated the information, because I did not want to renew. On 12/11/15 Avast debit my account for 64.99 . When I called customer support, I ask them how they charged my account with an expired card. The agents reply was "your bank gave us the information." (really?) They are aware that the banks renew card for 3 year expiration dates. After speaking with my bank Avast had to physical key in the information. I will be filing a complaint with the Attorney Generals Office. Be aware of Avast for Credit Card Fraud!

Hi my name laszlo bereczky and I live in australia queensland. On the 27th of november my daughter noticed that avast-nexway [protected] fra took money from her account 69.99 dollar. We never received any letter from avast about asking to renew our antivirus protection. Without our permission they took the money and we never received any order id. They could not have sent out any letters by email because our old email address is no longer working. We changed internet company and we never confirmed with avast the new email address. So now I can't even write a complaint letters because they asking me the order id witch I don't have one since I never made the order. And I don't see any other email that I can contact avast. The free 27 call service is just works inside america and I now have to talk to them by phone but it is difficult because of the time issues.
