failure to refund reported fraud, failure to follow due diligence making false promises and lying to customers
I Balachander, hold my account with Axis bank. I had reported a fraud transaction on 6th of July 2019 for INR 6500 complaint number [protected].
On the first call, customer care informed me that the amount will be refunded within 10 to 15 days as I've filed the complaint.
When I followed up on the issue after a few days, the customer care now informed me that I need to submit paperwork for the same and only then I will receive a refund. I was now frustrated by the wrong information that had been provided earlier by axis bank and informed them not to provide wrong information with customers.
I went to my home branch Ganapathy, Coimbatore TN and submitted the paper work informed on 11th of july 2019.
When I called customer care again they said on the 11th of August the amount will be refunded (I have a call recording of this from Axis bank)
I waited till then and when I called again on 13th I was told that there is still processing on going and paper work has not been submitted. I connected the customer service with my branch and the bank employee had mentioned that the paper work was submitted, but it wasn't done accordingly to their internal process, and was requested to mention that I have submitted the paper work on 11th of July so the request can be processed.
I waited again and followed up many times with customer care, and every time I call they told me paper work was not submitted and when I call the branch they said paper work has been submitted.
I was being bounced around between branch and customer care, and the complaint [protected] was rejected and the reason that was given is that my paper work was not submitted.
When I called the branch and asked them to re-submit the paper work and I requested the branch to add a letter stating that I have submitted the paper work, the bank refused to give me acknowledgment it.
Unacceptable behavior that when a customer requests their information and Axis Bank doesn't have the courtesy to address it.
I had to travel from bangalore to coimbatore to my home branch and I had to ask them to re submit my complaint with a new complaint number that has been generated [protected] and submitted on 7th September 2019
The branch had informed me that they will update on monday, there has been no calls from the branch till date.
I called customer care and they have informed me that the request was rejected due to non submission of documents within the required 20 days time period. My letter to the bank has a clear date mentioned that I have given the paper work on 11/7/2019 which is just 6 days from when the transaction happened, even this 6 days wouldn't have been delayed but that happened because of wrong information given by Axis bank customer care.
This kind of treatment of customers makes it so that Axis bank has failed in any due diligence, the marketing department calls us for credit cards and investments in stocks but when I requested the customer service to specifically put someone on my cause they said they can't do that.
There has been plenty of customers that might not be getting their money back due to this kinda behavior from Axis Bank and they might not follow through or report the issue.
I have escalated this issue because Axis bank only seem to drag the case or reject my application when I have followed everything in accordance with their request and as per regulations laid out by RBI for banks.
The issue with Axis Bank
- Lying to customer on several occasions
- failure at branch to process the paperwork on time (had processed the paper work almost after a month)
- false promise that the money will be refunded
- Wasting customers time
- Failure to assist in providing paper work at the branch
- forcing customers to visit branch when it was initially a failure to process paper work on time
- lack of responsibility and provide proper resolution
- avoiding calls when i tried calling axis bank branch employees
- no follow up from Axis bank on the incident

I went to open my father in law account in anand branch (amuldairy road) but people r so lazy and they dont give good respond to all nri customer evan I like to open my account byself and also for my family so I am just asking information how to open my all family nri account but they just think for there commission and say u can sign this form and we can fill out all application later and I said I don't want to sign any paper just I want to get correct information then I think about to open all my family account.
Then I decide to open 1 nri account for my father in law and that all people say ok give all documents and sign it here I said ok done I give u all information and 1 photo tomorrow and they keep ask me u can sign here and later I can come to your house and pick-up all documents. but I decide to not to open my all family account with that kind people. my father in law application still there in bank 2 weeks and I call them but they keep telling me account is not open yet I was planing to deposit $500 ones they open my father in law account but they dont send any document in mumbai branch and they call me can u deposit some money first and we process your father in law account in 1 week then I said no first I want all account details then I am deposit money or dollars. now I am here in usa then I tell my best friend go to bank and ask them did account is open for my father in law but they still not open account. then I tell my friend just get all documents back and we don't want to open any account and I am going to complain that all people here is name

unnecessary penalty in loan account
This is regarding axis loan account LPR020900712603. I received a notification that the cheque against my loan account has bounced. But throughout the year my account had sufficient balance. I went to the local Chidambaram Axis bank branch to inquire. They redirected me to Cuddalore axis branch. From there I was again redirected to Pondicherry bank branch. When I reached the final destination, the officials said that the cheque has not bounced and its a technical issue at their end. Since then axis bank employees have been coming to my residence to collect the EMI amount & I have been paying them through cheque. Despite all these, I have got a notice to pay Rs.960 as bouncing & penal charges. As a customer who regularly clears the EMI, I'm deeply frustrated with the bank & the bugs in its system. If someone's to pay penalty, it should be axis bank since I have traveled to three locations to get this sorted but the bank still sends me a notice to pay penalty. Very irresponsible.

The worst service ever. I asked for my loan account statement last month on email and i have still not received it. Everytime you want to load your forex card with money from education loan account, they will say the system is down. I am tired of all of these. They will not respond to you and will delay the process.

tax saver fixed deposit
Hi,
I requested Axis bank Teppakulam branch in Madurai to open a tax saver FD on beginning of Jan 2019 with option to payout interest on monthly or quarterly basis. But they have technical issue (Software bug in the system) and FD was opened wrongly with the option for payout on maturity which is not what I want.
The branch said that they will sort this issue and change back to the scheme that I asked for, in a week or so. Now it about 2 months and no progress on the change.
After repeated followups, there is no proper answer from branch and from Axis bank support which is very annoying. They dont handle customers with proper response. Also they dont give any timeline of when this problem will solved. So we need to assume it may take years. Its now more than 2 months and there is no solution. I loose my interest amount. When I requested to close the FD account, they say there is not option to close. So my money has been locked by them.

The official kit is not reached to me still I am waiting. Due to bad bank service and they are doing theirs own minds squashing where is superficial of bloody banking of axis bank and the staff even don't know where is my atm and kit being wandering for supposed to be untill it will be hacked by someone. How careless staff they even font know.
Atm withdrawal issue
I did an ATM transaction on 17/07/2018 early in the morning amounting to Rs.9000 however the amount is debited from the account however the ATM went "Temporarily Out of Service" and no money came out. I immediately called the bank number however I was told to call after 9 AM. I called after 9 AM and lodged the complaint however after investigation I received a message that it cannot be refunded as back says the transactions were successful. If this is the case please look at the CCTV and confirm that the amount never came out. Bank Name - Bank of Maharashtra, Paud Road ATM. Next to RD's Salon.
I submitted this complaint to service@axisbank.com and received a mail that it will be answered in next 7 days. Till date I have not received any mail or there is no communication. After 7 days I tried contacting them however the email mentioned above stands void.

It is more then 02 years passed our society account no... Was seised due to un-complete kyc, accordingly we have submitted all relevant documents to the authorised representative of the bank. But as informed by he bank authority the documents given by us were not accepted by the their mumbai head office. Derabassi bank authority again collected documents from us and we always follow the instruction of bank representative and submit the desired documents but the derabassi branch unable to resolve the issue.
After completion of one year deabassi branch manger inform us that there was technical problem and we have to open an current account in the name of the society. Now again process start to complete the formalities of opening a current account. But now almost after one year when the problem was not resolved, now we again asked to complete the kyc and today again a set of new kyc documents are handed over to us to complete the kyc formalities.
We are a registered co-operative society named the sml employees thrift and credit society, saidpura of employees of m/s nectar lifesciences ltd. Saidpura, employees funds of more then rs.57 lacs are lying worthless in axis bank from last more then 02 yeras. The bank authority unable to resolve our issue and never ever they made any concordance with us on this issue.
