improper service
I work a few stores up from the bank, my bosses business acct. Is through boa. I decided to check out their checking acct. Offers and to also ask if I would be able to use my temporary state i.D. (I was waiting fir my new 1 in the mail) to open the acct. I also had my social security card, work i. D and birth certificate. The lobby was extremely busy as it was 15 mins til close on sat. The manager or customer service rep came out and asked me if she could help me. (the seating area is about 3 feet from the lobby area) I was waiting for her to take me to a cubicle or desk. So I didnt think I should have to have everyone overhear my financial personal business so I askedher if we could sit down to speak. She said "well, we can sit here but I have no computer" which was fine. I proceeded to tell her about my paychecks being drawn on boa and if I could open an acct with what I had. First off she never even glanced at any of my documents, check anything. She rudely interrupted me and said no we cant do anything for you, we have to scan the bar codes on all i. D's well, my temporary i. D has a barcode and dl license #. But since she never looked she wouldn't know. Id rather not speculate as to why she blew me or my business off. It was very disheartening to know that a bank I wanted to start business with treated perspective customers this way. If she had looked at my documents and told me to wait for my permanent i. D to come I would 've understood. If she wasnt so rude and at least asked me to have a seat instead of expecting me to explain mybusi ess in front of 10 strangers it might have changed things. Unfortunately I did not get her name. I will. Please in the meantime take this complaint seriously, if she treats certain customers this way you may be losing alot of potential clients.

My husband is a retired veteran. He received a insurance check from USAA insurance company. The check was drawn on your bank. He needed to pay the body shop for repairs that were completed on his vehicle. I told him to take it to your bank because the check was drawn on your bank. My husband took the check to 3600 W. Main St, in Norman, OK. His teller was John. John tells my husband that he can't cash the check that is drawn on your bank because he can't verify it. I was a teller for over 5 years, so I know that's a lie. Because I know that the tellers have access to pull up the accounts and look at them. He embarrassed my husband in front of everyone. So, we're seeking resolution to this problem. Also, we want to know that this won't happen again.

I filed a claim against GAMEDAY MEDIA. A $500 transaction turned into $2500 and $3500 of invalid charges.
I was assured by BOA when I filed a claim that after the 45th day, my account would be refunded if no dispute. the 45th day was Monday 11/5, I have called every day since. I called the 46th, 47th and today is the 48th day. Now I am being told it could be another 45-90 days. I am being told this could go into JANUARY! I WILL BE OUT OF BUSINESS! I cannot buy merchandise, pay my employees because I do not have $ to buy merchandise! I spoke with the CEO at GAMEDAY MEDIA Justin Johnson [protected] ext 437. He stated the $ has already been taken from their account November 2nd. I have spent 2-3 hours per day calling and getting thrown into the hamster wheel. BOA will no even credit us either the $2500 or the other $3500 until it is cleared up. We are talking $6000 that is being held by your bank. I am a small business owner, if I end up closing my business over this, someone will have to answer from BOA. I trusted your bank for our business and clover accounts. I need answers now, I need our money credited back now. I am a former AVP of JPM CHASE BANK, it should have been cleared up by now. This is sitting on someone's desk, an aged report etc. I have been asked by the media if I want to go public, I do not, but I will if this is not resolved ASAP.

I closed my credit card account in May & set up payment arrangement to pay off balance. They took the payment on June/July 8th. I received an email and call that my balance went from $900 to $1300 & my payment arrangement has been declined even though they took out the money from 2 months as explained. My account was recently closed. They sent me a list of reasons why but they was inaccurate and every reason was false. The bottom line when I got off the phone with a manager after waiting 45 mins to speak with him was you don't use it enough, we can't make money unless you use it. Supposedly theres only so much credit they can offer and when someone don't use their card often they get closed without prior notice where they can offer it to someone else in hope that they will spend more than me. I have been with bank of america over a year and all was good until about two months ago. I made a serious error in my checking account and it overdrew it and caused problems for about a moth but I slowly got it fixed. I had much less than perfect credit and had been working really hard to get my credit up. I started looking on line for a consolidated debt loan who would pay off my debt and I could get good credit then. I thought I found one and stupidly i gave this company my banking info, They deposited a partial payment of $990 into my account, which I never touched. My bank had a hold on it and I wasn't ready to use it yet. The next thing I knew my account was closed without any warning. The check the consolidated loan people deposited was no good causing fraud on my account, Again, I never touched the check. I did have $632 left in my account from a cashed and then deposited pay check. I also had two direct deposits go into the account. All of this is money I worked very hard to make. I am a single woman and work three jobs. The bank will not allow me to get to any of MY money, I need to pay bills desperately. My utilities are about to be shut off. I own my mistake of going online and giving that company bank info but I had no ideal it was a scam. I though it was someone who worked with bad credit. I have called the bank every day to see if I can get my money and every day they tell me a different story. I have been lied to several times. I don't understand any of this. I purchase a car hood and bumper, the bumper was received and the hood was not i filed a dispute for the hood plus shipping fees, the claim department processed 2 claims that same day 1 for full invoice of 2 parts and shipping $515 and 1 for the missing part and shipping $363.78. the one claim for $363.78 was correct, BOA credit and debit both claims i called claims department i was told they received merchants information invoice and freight receipt which in deed stated that they only delivered hood therefore claim department open a 3 claim and it was refused once again. i finally went into a branch for help they asked to write a statement and fax it to claims department. as of today the dispute was refused again and im lost at $363.78 i don't understand why if BOA has all information they need for refund of the part that i did not receive. can someone please contact me and help me resolve this issue i have been a customer for over 10 years and cant believe that your are company is not helping me. im not asking for free money im asking for a refund which is my money and i have a right to get refund for something i did not receive
checking deposit
On March 19, I made a mobile deposit for $5000. The $5000 was a personal check from my aunt from her credit union (Arrowhead Credit Union). On March 26, the $5000 was debited out of my account with reason "DEBIT ADJUSTMENT DUPLICATE ITEM". I called customer service and was told to file a complaint. The claim was denied. I continued to file claims from March - July but each claim was denied. Each claim was denied with different reasons:
1) Duplicate Deposit made inside a branch
2)Duplicate Deposit made at an ATM
3) Duplicate Deposit made at a different bank
4) Duplicate Deposit made at Bank of America
My final attempt, the rep was kind enough to do her due diligence and escalated the issue to her manager. She actually called me back and confirmed that 1) she had a copy of the check, 2) the check was deposited at a Bank of America account, 3) the check clearly had my signature and account number BUT was processed under someone else's account.
I was told that with all the check deposits BofA receives, endorsements are not required. This check was for $5000! The simple fact that an endorsement was not required behooves me.
I told each rep that I filed a complaint with that there was no way a physical check could have been deposited because I shredded that check once it cleared my account.
Majority of the reps I did file a complaint with stated that it was Arrowhead Credit Union's responsibility to fix the issue. Arrowhead complied and filed the necessary paperwork but did not receive any help from Bank of America. They did their due diligence following up via phone and physical mail! No one from Bank of America responded to their requests. Arrowhead stated it was not a duplicate deposit on their end as the only check they received had my signature and account number.
This has been an outstanding issue for months. This was not a small amount. This was $5000 that I needed at the time. I have received ZERO help from BofA in trying to get this matter resolved. I have filed complaints at the Chino Hills Branch and different departments (Check Fraud, ATM disputes, Customer Service, Mobile Banking).
I have spoken to a lawyer and was informed that I could file a small claims since BofA refuses to assist. I do not want to go down this path as it will cost me additional $$. Need to understand if there will be resolution.

I have been using VISA credit card (Last 4 digits 5439) from Bank of America for many years. A few days ago I called the customer service Reward department to get my reward for which I am entitled for. The customer service rep told me that she was giving me .5%, I told her that I always got 1% reward. She told me that in order to get that percentage, I should have above 25, 000 points. Since I had less than 25000 and I wanted 1% reward, I clearly told her that I could wait for the reward till my points go up to 25000. I never asked her to send me the reward at this time.
Even after telling her clearly she went ahead and sent me a check for $32.93. Disappointed, anyway, I went and deposited the check. Lo and behold! the check bounced and they charged me $12.50. It means, the customer service rep had cancelled the reward. Is this my fault? When I called the reward department, they refused to own their mistake and were rude at the same time. Stopped in after work to obtain a temporary debit card for my lost card. This is not my regular bank but closest to my work and with the limited banking hours offered, I stopped here for my bank needs. Sadly, I was kept waiting for 30 minutes and when I asked if someone else was available, I literally got no response. After my 2nd request for someone to help me besides the worker who with 1 costumer, I was told she is the only one to do debit cards. So I was forced to wait. This went on for 1 hour. I am so disgusted with the customer service at this bank and I will never use this branch for any reason!

The website designed for EDD Bank of America looks good but has many malfunctions. First of all after I sign in it get a pop up that suggest to download the app to my cellular device. After checking the 'Do not show again' box it continues to pop up. Then re directs to sign in all over again.
The solution I thought I found to prevent this, was exiting the page and going to google to type in 'edd bank of america login' which directs me to the login page instead of the home page. Now that I am logged in and trying to transfer funds to my personal banking account, after picking the amount to transfer and clicking 'Transfer' it redirects to another page where it says 'invalid link'.
Needless to say it is pointless and I still have to go to the bank, withdrawl my funds and go to my personal bank to deposit.
Grateful to be receiving disability, but inconvenient to have to run around from bank to bank.

I am writing to complain about an employee that answered my call from the call center in Utica NY. Her name is Rebecca and claims she could not give me her last name, Her mangers name is Rich. Rebecca stated that this was the only call center in Utica NewYork. I had a couple of questions regarding my credit card and interest fees. I explained to her my concerns and how I was not aware of the fees since I had a promotion. I simply asked her if there was anything she can do to help me. Rebecca seemed frustrated and annoyed that I asked her this question and began to raise her voice and said there was nothing she can do. I asked Rebecca if I said something to offend her because she started raising her voice for no apparent reason. Maybe in could have just hung up and redialed, hoping to get he proper help.
She is very unprofessional and has no patients. I asked if there was anyone else I can talk to. She simply raised her voice and started "who do you want to talk to" "who do you want to talk to" i asked her for help as far as finding the correct person who can assist me with my account. The reason I called was for help! I asked her about doing a balance transfer as well. It got to the point of me asking her to close my account and I told her I would do a balance transfer to another account. She then proceeded with closing my account. If i wouldn't have asked her the question can I still do a balance transfer after closing the account she wouldn't have mentioned it to me and I would have been stuck paying this interest fee which is the entire reason I called. This make me rethink who I'm banking with, do I really want this type of customer service, is it even worth the stress.

I had my checking account with BOA with "Card Number" - "[protected]" and last 4 digit of my SSN is "9708" which was closed on 18th Sept 2018 and I had a balance of $14, 914 in my account. Bank was supposed to send me my cheque within 10 business days but I didn't receive any cheque till date.

Hi My name Is Brenda and I have been a regular customer for the past 20 years or so and also my entire family. I understand we are in critical times and is also a community bank for a Hispanic area.. This past Friday October 6, 2018..I decided to arrived early to do my transactions.I understand the bank is always in short of staff..The line is already long.. I'm an anxious individual but I'm ok so far..The security guard is outside the building..While waiting there was to be exactly six individuals and they were all Dominicans..I'm Puerto Rican Descent..well it was only one teller working..she was very nice and young..doing an awesome job..All these people began to harassed her..she was so nervous that delayed the situation more..I replied in Spanish to pleased be patient. What OMG a guy in front of me..who do you think you are..The two lady's behind me got so closed to me saying..I guess you don't have anything to do..Well I kept my cool..There conversations escalated to a Puerto Rican thing..Another man..saying [censored] thinks we got time to wait.. They were so loud like pointing fingers at me..A staffing members had to come out and explained the whole situation and management with the ATMs. I waited one hour and twenty minutes..I'm ok..But in that moment I felt so scared to be standing there for so long..I felt like I could not look up or look back..Omg I went home with a panic attack..could not paid the rest of my bills..I had to come back home..Take my meds .The staff felt also worried..she left the floor to go behind the window to help the girl slows things up..The banks needs a bilingual security guard to check in once in a while..I'm so hurt...next time I come to these location in Jamaica Plain Center Plaza I won't come alone..Is closed to my house and I used public Transportation.The regular Staffing U know for many years and they know me. Month by month they know how I like thing..They are great. We need just extra tellers on Fridays and the first to the third day of the month..Only 3days. credit cards being closed
I have been card holder for over 17 years with good payment history. I recently had both credit card limits increased and used much of this with assistance in furnishing new house and paying for recent wedding. I just was notified via mail that both accounts were closed. I don't understand why closing the accounts when I have not missed payments and recently had credit limit increases. Why close the card when near limits anyway and unable to charge much more? Why not leave open and suspend charge cabilities until account reaches acceptable balance levels. This only hurts my credit by closing the accounts where I been loyal paying customer.
I am currently trying to speak to someone from Bank of America on this issue but still on hold for me 1 hr and 6 minutes. This is very frustrating!

Abusive overdraft fees
Yesterday September 2, 2018, my Bank of America's account was in positive numbers and with three pending charges already reflected. Nevertheless, today September 3, two overdraft charges appeared on my account for two other amounts that the previous day were not pending.
Today, September 3, I have make 3 claims by phone, but the three employees say that they notified me about the two amounts charged to my account. It was not like that. Today morning, the two amounts with their respective overdraft charge of 35 dolars has appear in my account.
