Hello. I am referencing your Woburn, MA location (173A Cambridge Rd). The date of the incident was 4/30/18. I was told by the front sales associate that providing my Iphone passcode was mandatory or they would not accept the phone for screen repair. He explained that they could be held liable if any features were not working when the repair was complete...

BatteriesPlus cell phone battery replacement damage, terrible customer service.

My local store on 20th avenue in Oshkosh Wisconsin permanently damaged my cell phone trying to replace the battery. They ordered a new one and when it arrived they told me to go to my verizon carrier to activate, verizon said I was sent a locked phone, went back to get another replacement shipped, told it was shipped right away, 5 days later still no phone, called batteries plus customer service twice trying to get the district manager to call me, no calls. Now I want them to simply pay me for a new phone and I"ll go elsewhere. It's been 2 1/2 weeks and still waiting.!
Do not have them work on your phone, not only are they incapable to do that but their customer service is horrible. I will never shop there again.

BatteriesPlus battery replacement of galaxy s7

1-26-18
Very unsatisfied! Galaxy S7 battery replacement. Called ahead and was told it would take 30-45 min. Once I got there, I was informed it would be at least an hour. I was warned that there may be discoloration due to the process of removing the glass to change out the battery. I acknoleged this. I was not however told that the glass would be all chipped to hell when I got it back. My favorite part was the employee that wasn't even assiting me, telling me that he warned me that it could happen and that I acknoleged it. Telling me what I know I wasn't told had me seeing red. I watched a do-it-yourself video about changing it out and surprisingly, they didn't chip the paint.

BatteriesPlus sales clerk / manager

On November 25th we went into your Layton Utah location to purchase batteries. The sales clerk was more concerned about his back room then giving us any help. Then he went on about Black Friday. We were the only customer in the store. A little help would have been nice. He also took our batteries and slammed on the counter. We are sorry that we inconvenienced your store and sales clerk. Maybe need to take our business elsewhere where we are not inconvenience.

Hi Christine.

The Walmart across the street as well as the Good Will, Deseret Industries and Savers really would seem to bring in a great deal of traffic, especially on a day like Black Friday.

BatteriesPlus iphone repair in fairfax

Did a screen replacement myself on my iphone however I didn’t do it properly so I came here to fix it. The only issues I had were with the wifi and a slightly pixelated screen.

The technician said they most likely can’t fix the wifi issue but let’s try a new screen. Before I gave the go ahead he put on a new screen to test if it would work. We tested it and everything worked fine so I gave the go ahead.

Come back an hour later and the store was a bit busy and he was the only one there on a Friday night so I waited patiently till he everyone left. He then told me he had bad news, apparently there was something wrong with the shield that resulted in the home button ribbon detaching itself. Said I need a new shield.

They didn’t provide the shields there but he assured me that they would order it and fix the button free of charge but advised me to still fix the screen. I refused the screen work just in case they decided not to fix the home button. He advised I call back the following day.

Called back and spoke to manager who now told me a slightly different story as to why it broke. After telling him what happened he said he will contact the district franchise manager and come up with a solution Monday.

I call Monday, no answer. Came in person on Tuesday and the manager there pretended to know the situation and then after asking for the resolution then claimed he knew nothing about it and I’ll have to speak to the other manager as they do no cross communicate. I asked him to call him or the district franchise manager but refused several times but finally he called the franchise manager. The franchise manager said they will not fix it because now the issue was caused by our prior repair and bending the ribbon. The manager there said this is why I need to talk to the manager I spoke to previously to avoid miscommunication apparently.

Finally a few days later spoke to the previous manager who stood by the same story as the franchise manager and offered 1/2 off to fix the home button. I refused.

The fact that the button was working just fine when I brought it in and that was confirmed on the work order, and that the button worked with the trial of the new screen clearly shows it was a mistake on their behalf. Next to have them tell me 3 different stories as to why this happened so they will eliminate liability is completely ridiculous and just shows this store is untrustworthy and does not care for its customers.

BatteriesPlus battery replacement ticket #[protected]

I bought a battery for my 2014 Harley Davidson motorcycle sometime in March, 2017 with a 2 year warranty. Road it a few times as I have two bikes. Today I went to start it (10-1-17) and it was dead. Wouldn't take a charge so I took it back. They gave me a new one but told me my warranty was no longer good now. WTF? They give me a defective battery, replace it and that voids my warranty? I just bought 3 new batteries 2 days ago from them, 2 for my boat and 1 for my truck. I wish I would have known they treated their customers like this!

BatteriesPlus unethical manager behavior

Hello

I am trying to submit an anonymous complaint about the manager of Batteries + Bulbs here in Elk Grove, California. The incident took place on the Laguna Boulevard location.

Apparently, the manager at that location accepted a big bag of pot as a form of payment for services. I am sure this type of behavior is illegal and it concerns me a great deal since my husband and I continue to use this location's services as it is nearest to our home. I hope this will be investigated as I will not be shopping at or using Batteries + Bulbs for its lack of professionalism regarding this matter.

BatteriesPlus motorcycle battery

I purchased a battery for my motorcycle in April of 2017 for a long distance trip to California and back. On July 1, 2017 I started on my vacation trip and made it 30 outside of Las Vegas when my bike quit running. I was stranded in the desert with temps above 110 degrees. I removed the battery and hitch hiked back to Vegas to just to find anyone who had a battery. I purchased a new battery and hitch hiked back 30 miles and installed it to continue on my trip. When I returned from my trip I attempted to return the defective battery to the Batteries Plus in Woodbury, MN for a refund and was told that they can only exchange it for a new one. I ask him what I'm supposed to do with a new battery when I had to purchase another one on the road due to it being defective. I told him that I got stranded in the desert because of the defective battery and would like a refund. The employee behind the counter didn't want to hear what I had to say and told me I should have went to a Batteries Plus in Vegas. I told him I was STRANDED and had to hitch hike. He was very rude and would not even try to address my concerns. All I wanted is a refund and not be stuck with another new battery that I had no use for. Your return/exchange policy needs to be looked at and changed or the store employee needs to be more understanding and helpful with my concerns under the circumstances. I'm not a real pleased with the attitude of the employee and lack of customer service.

BatteriesPlus truck battery

I purchased a battery for my truck in November 2014. It stopped holding a charge, so I charged it, removed it, and returned it to the store. The person waiting on me try to tell me the 3 year warranty had past 6 months ago. I told him there were still 6 months on it. ( good math ) He then told me I would have to leave the battery so they could test it and that it would take about 4 hours. 4 hours ? I informed him it was fully charged. He told me I would have to leave it and they would call me.
This was around noon on Sunday 5/21. A week later and have heard nothing. I've been in the automotive industry my whole life. It's hard to believe with this kind of service, or lack of, that batteries plus is still in business.
Needless to say, being told I would be without a vehicle on a Sunday was enough to make me just go somewhere else to purchase a new battery and write off batteries plus as useless.

BatteriesPlus battery for my car

I ordered a battery for my car online and specified a store in Medford that was about Miles from me. It accepted the order and diverted it to the Eugene store that is over a 100 miles away?

Here is where this gets good. I get a confirmation saying that it is ready for pickup 100 miles away? So I call that store and he says I will cancel the order, issue a credit and send you a copy of it. well 24 hours goes by and no e-mail and no credit to my account. Next day I call Neal at the Eugene store he tells me he issued it, sent me a copy of the credit and he says it is out of his hands he sent it to accounting. I asked for the general managers phone and talked To Bob Carnes in I think Portland which was rude and quit aware of this practice. He tells me it will be 3-5 days before I see the credit? This is bull, and just a way to use my money. credits on cards can be issued just as fast as a debit.

So kudos to Sears they had what I needed and charged for a core charge that was issued the minute I brought back the old battery.

I am in my 60"s have been on both sides of these issues. I feel like Batteries plus allows these lousy accounting practices to exists to there advantage. I will never bother with doing business with again with them. These practices are unacceptable in today's market.

BatteriesPlus batteries

Advice: file your complaints with the ftc! Like many of you, I have been taken advantage by batteries plus. I bought two batteries which didn't work. Despite the statement on the invoice describing how they want all consumers happy and will take returns with the receipt, neither is true. Their franchisees are poorly trained, and lack the ability to deal with the public; let's not even mention their lack of common courtesy. The corporate president and his minions just listen to your complaints, ignore them and do nothing. This company has severe problems. They are essentially committing fraud by offering warranties they do not honor, and refuse to accept returns even though they indicate otherwise in writing. Take action and put their feet to the fire.

BatteriesPlus apple ipad

Took i-pad to batteries plus bulbs. Only problem was it wasn't holding a charge. Two weeks later and 6 trips to the store, l picked up my i-pad destroyed. Tried to offer refurbished said I want my money back. Received my money and ran as fast as I could out of there customer service was the worst I ever experienced. Went to apple store, purchased brand new air pad and very happy with purchase and customer service at apple? I am enjoying reading these compailnts against batteries and bulbs on my new i-pad. I too am in customer service and will not recommend this store at all. I have plenty of opportunity to recommend but remain silent, my only vengeance is what goes around comes around, and that this store won't be around long.

BatteriesPlus generator battery

I purchased a battery for my Honda generator at the Tuscaloosa Alabama store. They gave me one off of their charge rack. It was HOT from overcharging. I was told in a condescending manner this was all they had. Three months later after this even though I kept battery charged with a battery tender this burned up battery will not hold a charge. I have not be able to locate the receipt so now I am stuck with it. I have learned a lesson about this company, do not buy battteries from the battery plus stores.

Purchased this battery on 9/ 25/15 between 11:00am & 12:00 noon. Man told me it was most likely the battery causing the problem. Cost was $16.00 even. Put it in cell phone on 9/27, phone still did not work. Messed with charger, and the plug, apparently was loose or something. I moved it several times from side to side and it started working. I could not...

BatteriesPlus their customer service is terrible

The battery has an internal short, I am a mechanic so I know. Took it in to the temple texas store. When I bought it, I was told it they had a one year warranty. They recharged it and gave it back to me for a new one. How do I know? I marked the battery before I gave it to them. Called the big mucky muck store corp. And girl basically called me a liar. Warrenty runs out on the 18th of september. They put my info in the computer, when I bought them, how convenient its not there now. Even if I produced a receipt, which I can, they have no replacements in stock, (for 3 weeks?) and don't expect any, again how convenient, called the harker heights store, same song and dance. Will never buy from them again and will make sure my friends and family don't either. Their customer service is terrible.
