biolife poor management
Im want to submit a serious complain about thr manager "eric" at fm 1960 location... He had very poor leadership skills and he makes the work environment chaotic for his own employees and hes an [censored]. Ive seen countless ppl leave and not come back because of poor service and long wait time due to poor management delegating help were needed. Im too the point now after today horrible service am considering changing to different donation place because I should have to deal with this extended long period wait time over not enough card but 2 whole section still open!... Im sure there turn over rate is horrible as well. The fact tht he is still in his position is insane. And just reflects on corporate and tht yall have poor decisiom making in who u put in these positions cause clearly he not the best fit. There are otger there I believe can do a better job then him. Im in business management so I know how its done so ill continue to complain until something is done! He give your company a bad name is and running tht location into the ground. Ill even go as far as to start a petition to get him removed his oen employees even complaint about him to me but are afraid to speak out cause they fear lossing there job so there forced to work in an uncomfortable environment everyday! Thts completely unacceptable and if u dnt think so tht goes to show how poor and incompetent biolife company is.
staff
I've been coming to biolife for years now all of a sudden cause turned in nurse for issues now i'm being deffered left and right this is ridiculously absurd to endure everytime now deferred for hygiene after this I go work at medical clinic I come in shower and ready to start my day i'm a mother of three and hygiene is key since hate germs and this clinic not exactly clean
loveland center (doctor's approval)
8/18
I was trying to be a first time donor and became very irritated after going through the signing up process (in which some of the workers were really unprofessional) and answering 30 minutes worth of questions only to talk to the nurse and her decide that I cannot donate until I get a doctor's approval because of a slight possibility of having hypothyroidism... -_-
Really? And she said it wouldn't even affect the plasma, so shouldn't that be my choice?! Now I just wasted 3+ hours of my time and still have to pay for a doctors visit if I want to reap any benefit from those hours. Which, did I mention, I would have to go through those 3 hours again once I return?! What the heck?
staff complaint
When I 1st arrived I was greeted by ms. Sharon the rep.. She was rude and didn't put in my infor correct so when the next time I went to donate I couldn't because she forgot to put in that I use to donate in nc. Now they giving me the run around. Ms. Phe phe, ms. Jess need more training and shouldn't be working until they get it right. I wasted so much gas to come donate on the days they told me to come and they still wouldn't let me donate
manager and nurse on july 28
I came in yesterday to donate and was rudely told won't be seen by jamiacian nurse due to she already had physical to do and wasn't doing another one and two hours before I was called to see if wanted to change appointment to earlier cause they had free time I said couldn't and was told no problem that my original time was still good I was called a liar and said no one called me as the nurse who called stood right beside her I reschedule my appointment for next day and was rudely greeted by same nurse and told wait on manager spoke with manager who said I was deffered due to be disrespectful and that I need to be nice as she ignored anything I said about the issue she said wasn't around didn't see but I need change my attitude this fifth complaint and issue have had here their is alot of unprofessional behavior and being that I work at a family owned medical clinic the workers would have been fired
cleanliness @ biolife, mexico rd., st. peter’s, mo
I have been in here to donate multiple times and have been growing increasingly aware of the trash and debris piling up near donation stations. I've noticed that some of the employees don't even attempt to make their trash in the garbage cans nearby. I have attached photos from two separate donations and from two different spots in the donation center.
Additionally, I was recently set up for my donation (hooked up to the machine and started) by brittaney w. At this location. This by far was the worst service I had received. She never even acknowledged I was there and began throwing bags of saline solution onto my lap in the chair. She rapidly hooked up all of the tubing and prepped me. This made me uncertain if I want someone moving this fast to stick me with a needle. Overall, she was rather rude and quite unpleasant.
payment
I donated on 7/23 six days after I donated on 7/17. I was not compensated correctly. When I called to speak with staff, I was treated like an idiot, they repeated theirselfes over and over and over again. I then called again on 7/24, spoke to josh, who owns the place, yea right. He said he spoke to rude girl from 7/23, natalie, and he will not fix my payment! They never informed me of the monday to sunday payroll and I also went on your app and it doesn't state it there either. I need my payment corrected. Also, they're needs to be retraining done in the burleson center!
being denied to donate because of mental health.
I've donated with biolife plasma for years. I went in today for a physical and was informed that because I am bipolar and have not been on medicine since 2010 that I do not qualify. I was informed that being non medicated means I am at risk for attacking the staff during the blood withdrawal. All of this stemmed because I hadn't been in in a few years and they "purged" my file. I am perfectly fine without being on medication. I have held my job for years, I don't have any temper issues, i've never been a threat to anyone. But today I was told I am mentally unstable because I am not medicated. This is illegal and I am upset.
permanent defferal?
I had been donating numerous times and never had a problem with mmj in my system. One day my breath smelled like mmj and the sent me to the nurse and she asked y I smelled like it and I told her because I have an mmj license and she said well your permanently differed for that reason. I do not think this is justified or fair in anyway. I know for a fact a bunch of employees at the centers smoke and that many people that donate have mmj in there system. Please get back with me asap because id like to donate still if possible
plasma donation
I currently live in helena, mt. I decided to donate plasma and created an account online, and after doing so it gave me three location options to choose from. I chose the missoula location as I am more familiar with the town. Not at any point in scheduling online, getting a reminder call 24 hours in advance, or when I spoke with someone this morning 07/20/18 (letting them know I needed to reschedule 30 minutes later due to construction in helena) did anyone let me know there is a 90 mile limit to donate. After walking into the missoula location, I encountered an elderly woman who was extremely rude. She refused my ss card because it was not signed, which I apologized for and signed in front of her, and was then told that policy states there is a 90 mile radius donor limit and that I would need to leave. After explaining that I just drove two hours one way, and that at no point was this ever addressed to me, I was told that it was not her problem as "employees wouldn't know my address even if it was on the online account" and that "people drive to different towns all the time" when I mentioned that I spoke on the phone with someone about driving from helena and needing a time extension. I have tried calling a corporate number several times, however, it is never the correct number. I am extremely upset, to put in nicer words, that I will be driving a four hour round trip for a complete waste of my time by a company that could care less about its donors.
process
I tried to donate for the first time today and because I told the nurse that I have a very mild adhesive irritation only if I have to keep an adhesive on for multiple days and that I prefer but don't need paper tape, she asked the manager and they denied me from donating until the facility carries paper tape. I am frustrated at the fact that this medical facility does not carry paper tape and I strongly suggest that this facility starts carrying paper tape. Because of such a small thing that only bothers me if kept on for days I was denied, the staff explained that if they start carrying paper tape that they will call me. Until then, I will never be able to donate and help others in need ever. I think that is very unfair. Please recommend/require them to carry paper tape so that I can help those in need. Thank you.
an employee/ medical specialist was rude.
I recently visited the biolife plasma center in glendale, az and I was feeling a little off so I asked to have my return speed lowered and the nurse did so. The medical specialists named kayla came out and said I had to be taken off the machine and I could not come back. I just requested my return speed to be turned down so I could finish the process. Her mannerisms, facial expressions and gestures were very rude and nasty she was borderline being racist her name is kayla. She also stated that I was inappropriate with another nurse because I told her, her eyes were green. I really do not appreciate the service I received when I wanted to genuinely do good business with biolife. My name is johnathon nelson my phone number is+[protected] please contact me back.
blown veins
I have been donating for about 2 months now at the oshkosh location. Allen started the line in the same vein they have been using for 2 months. I have in the past had a little discomfort because they use the same spot every time. Once they readjusted the needle for me and I was fine, no bruising afterwards. But wednesday july 4th was different. Allen started the line, it started taking blood, it went to put my blood back in and it started to hurt where I want to grab the muscle above the need because it was really hurting, the machine stopped and beeped, he came over and I told him it hurts a little bit something doesn't feel right. He readjusted the needle, it put the blood back in, took some more when to put it back and again, machine stopped and I told him it hurts really bad. He asked if I wanted to try the other arm I said yes and told him that it was smaller on that arm and the vein was on the side, not as easy to access. When he wrapped my arm I was putting pressure on it, like normal but also because it was still hurting really badly. There is no way he could not have noticed how bad it was bothering me. He went to put the needle in the other arm and started the machine pretty much as soon as it started, it started to hurt again. I can't remember if the machine stopped by itself or not. It hurt so bad, the vein I guess, it just feels like big burning bubbles in your vein. It's a totally awful feeling. I was panicking, I was getting dizzy and he wanted to try to reposition the needle, I told him no! It was hurting so bad I kinda jumped and the needle starting leaking blood onto my arm. I said I will come back another day or something. He said so you want to just call it. And I said yes! I just want it out. And he wrapped it and I was just clutching my arm. I have never had an experience like this before. It does feel better but my arms still hurt. I have horrible bruises on both arms that make it very uncomfortable to pick up my one year old. Someone from this location did call me today and apologize, which I appreciate greatly. She told me to see the doctor if it got red or swollen. But I wanted the pictures to be on the report. I am going to attach pictures of both arms about 24 hours after the incident. Thank you for taking the time review my complaint.
staff
I have not donated in four years so I decide to try and go donate again I go and get all registered do all the questions then go to start my physical the nurse tells me I passed but I smell like body odor so therefore I have to try again tomorrow and come back and do all the questions and physical again. Is this even legal to discriminate against people
anti-american
I am a veteran who has served this country. On my last visit I noticed a sign that said you would be open normal hours on july 4th. I am appauled! This day is set aside for all americans to pay tribute and recognize the sacrafice made for our freedom. You obviousley do not give a damn! How pathetic! I will begin going to csl from now on along with all my friends. I am so ashamed of biolife. I really feel sorry for your employees that they have to work for a company so unpatriotic! I will be sharing this on facebook and glass door reviews!
deferral
Everytime the center in springfield mo has a bonus offer, my protein is magically too low! Every single time! I am so tired of this! My spe just came back this morning, and oh look too low again! I feel like they do this so the company doesn't have to pay bonuses. I want someone to call or email me back asap. Have already contacted the bbb. This is not right, and someone needs to make it right asap.
promotion for june $200
Hi!
So I have an issue and I am hoping you can help.
My location neglected to tell me that I needed to come back in for just a lab draw as my protein levels were low. I was told just to come back in, in 7 days. Nothing about it being separate from a donation.
Due to that, once I received this e-mail 6/20/18, the email that stated $200 extra in 10 donations with initial donation being by 6/30/2018. I had called to schedule a donation and was informed today on 6/26/18 that I couldn't donate as I needed a repeat lab draw and have to wait 7-10 days for results.
With that being said I am not able to make a donation until next week.
I am very upset (a nicer word) as I would have gone in sooner and had a repeat lab draw if it would have been explained that way! Now I am missing out on this coupon and an extra $200 due to someone not being able to perform their job correctly!
Any way to allow me to do this next month?
Thank you
Kaila current
nurse on staff
I go to the biolife on getz road in fort wayne, in and have been going there twice a week for the last few years and had a terrible experience this past saturday, june 16th, 2018. My appointment was for 5pm and I know there's a 10 minute leeway for coming in either before your scheduled appointment or after and I arrived at 5:07 after rushing there from work. Upon arrival I came in to do my questions and get my vitals and noticed that the computers to do the questions were already shut off for the day and no one was up front so I waited for a couple minutes and a nurse, tonya, finally came up and rudely told me that they were closed. I proceeded to tell her that I had an appointment for 5pm and that I was there within the alotted amount of time. She proceeded to be short with me and tell me that they closed at 5 and that it was already 10 after 5, although it wasn't, and refused me serivce and just walked away from me. I have never, in my almost 2 and a half years of going there, have received such rude service, or lack there of, and been caused to miss out on my 2nd day of donating and an extra $50 because of an employee.
apparent dress code?
Today, 6/13/18, I went to biolife in diamond center, mentor, ohio. I had just brought my friend in as a referral after months of donating at this location. As i'm standing next to her doing her sign up, i'm approached by a big, older blonde woman with short hair who asks me to come into her office. They proceed to tell me that my outfit is inappropriate and "too risqué" to complete a donation and I would need to change if I wanted to donate. I will include a picture of my outfit, but I was wearing a low cut, long sleeve shirt with long black, high waisted leggings. She made me turn around so she could "determine" if my pants were appropriate. First off, I was shocked and appalled, because if my chest wasn't a 34ddd, it wouldn't have been a problem, but I was sexualized, discriminated against and embarrassed for wearing the outfit I was about to go on a date in. The friend I brought in was also appalled by this behavior, because when I mentioned my shirt at the front desk, the middle aged woman had nothing to say about it. My friend personally doesn't want to come back to this establishment but i've convinced her to at least finish her 2nd donation so it wasn't time wasted. We looked through her panflets and it said nothing of a dress code that you have to adhere to. I understand if I was actually in a skimpy outfit, but I was not, no midriff in high waisted pants, no short shorts, not even shoulders. I'm a thin, big chested girl and there's nothing I can do about that and I don't believe your staff has the right to criticize me for cleavage. Honestly i'm embarrassed to even go back to the location and i'd appreciate a copy of your "dress code" so I know for next time. This isn't the first time an older woman has tried to tell me my clothes were inappropriate when other members of your establishment said there was no issue. This is not high school. I'm not a distraction to your workers, and if I am, find better ones. I'd like you to walk out of a busy place and come back in with a big dirty baggy shirt with everyone staring at you because of something you can't control. I'd appreciate some sort of compensation or to at least know you're telling your employees they can't discriminate and embarrass people who are only there to help do a good. I didn't know my cleavage affected the usefulness of my plasma, nor does anyone else understand how I would not be allowed to donate over a shirt. [protected]@gmail.com is how you may contact me in regards to this.
bonuses and management
I will start by saying I started donating in 2001. I am a veteran.
Please tell me why i've recruited dozens of people and haven't ever gotten a buddy bonus? When I ask at the center, it will be 'looked into and virtually forgotten. I have chosen not to complain about it anymore, but... Now literally ever person but me is offered a promotion on june for an extra $15 each donation. Please explain to me why I don't get the same bonus offered to other? Please tell me why u give new doners $300-500 and veteran doners don't get crap. It's comical how unfair this is, and i'm done with this place until this is fixed. I know how much u sell my plasma for, so this is a joke.
And for the record, the new management sucks. It's clear the whole place changed after oct 2017, right after a new manager appeared.
