Mixed Feelings About Boxed.com
As someone who values convenience and quality, my experience with Boxed.com has been a mix of highs and lows. On one hand, the variety of products available for bulk purchase is impressive, and the quick delivery time is a definite plus. However, the pricing seems to be a bit on the higher side compared to other retailers, which can be a concern for those on a budget. Customer service has been responsive in some cases, but there are instances where issues like damaged goods or delayed responses have been reported. Overall, if you prioritize selection and speed over cost, Boxed.com could be a suitable option for your bulk shopping needs.
BOX for LIFE!
UPS horrible when it comes time to deliver to my son's address in Portland Oregon. Keep placing at the wrong address... ordered BOX from another site- same thing happened. Called Box directly they quickly sent over another package. Filed a claim with UPS- argued was delivered at the correct address- total waste. Yes 4 weeks later sitting rotting at a completely different address- (he happened to take a short cut and saw the pile of boxes with his NAME and Address on it)- yet so FIRST CLASS BOX did the right thing. So grateful my son is a student. BRAVO BOX!
First time purchaser. No complaints
All items were shipped and received as promised. 3 - 4 days and during the Christmas shopping rush so freight companies are busy. All products were as advertised. I see allot of negative reviews directed at pricing and shipping damage. They are clear on their pricing so if you think it is too much, don't buy it! My order came in 2 boxes, both undamaged and packed well with air cells and bubble wrap. Boxed cannot be held liable for freight companies mis- handling. You should probably take that up with whatever freight company delivered it. I am happy with my first experience but will continue to watch others reviews.

Boxed ROCKS!
My purchase in January wasn't my first. In the beginning, I wasn't sure I would continue as an earlier delivery wasn't packaged securely. Cans broke out of their carton and were bent and fruit cups were leaking. Not enough bubble wrap to take up space. BUT, the company quickly corrected the problem and I gave them a second chance. All future orders have been secure with no problems at all. I will continue to purchase from BOXED because I love the convenience of getting bulk items delivered directly to my home. It's saved a lot of time, money and aggravation of having to drive an hour to the store. Plus, they carry a lot of things I would normally buy anyway. I love it!
Will Most Definitely Buy Here Again!
I just received my first Boxed.com purchase today and am extremely impressed with how quickly it arrived, 2 days, with all items ordered and packed very well. It came in two large sturdy boxes with invoices in both. The deals I received were incredible plus I can get additional credits towards merchandise by referring my friends. The website is pretty basic and easy to navigate and the free samples are a nice touch. I hope eventually they develop a customer service center where you can get someone live if needed. Other than that, this was a fabulous purchase and the main reason I am coming back is because the prices on my items were phenomenally so much lower than any other retail entity. Great company!
Worth it
I ordered from boxed yesterday for the first time. My order came today before 10 a.m... definetly quicker than amazon prime shipping. Everything was nicely packaged. I ordered ketchup and reeses spread and they were in plastic bags as a precaution. The ketchup bottle says 3 pack so I think I have a pretty good idea of how they make money. Works for me. Still alot cheaper than the grocery store. It dosent bother me if they break up packs as long as the seals are not disturbed. I ordered C4 pre-workout for my husband 90 servings + a bonus shaker for 59.99 which is what he normally pays for a small container of 30 servings. I also ordered a couple other random things and free samples and all are fine. Some things are a great deal some not so much. I will be ordering from boxed again.
BOXED IS WONDERFUL AND RELIABLE A TRUE LIFESAVER!
I have been a Boxed.com user for close to 3 years now and I have never been disappointed! Dry goods are received within 2 days and Express orders which are perishables are received the same or next day, according to the availability of the shopper/delivery person. Prices are reasonable and Boxed send you Coupon Codes ever so often which serves as an incentive to order a little extra when you can. I am a nurse who works in excess of 60+ hrs per week and Boxed.com has literally saved my life, gone are the days of trudging to the supermarket spending 3 hours searching for what I needed, then spending another hour or more in line at the cashier, and finally logging bags of groceries home etc. Now; I shop online on my break time at work, 30 minutes tops and the groceries arrive at my door, it feels like magic; really! Thank you and bless you Boxed!
THEY HAVE JIF CHUNKY, FREE SHIPPING AT $49.99,20% OFF FIRST ORDER!
9/20/2022 For the past several months I've been looking high and low for JIF EXTRA CHUNKY. Not only do most places STILL not have ANY in stock, (including AMAZON, Walmart online, and Costco) those independent sellers such as few on ebay that DO have any are price gouging beyond belief. We go through about 100# of PB around here a year so besides taste price is a factor, and up until the recall its been JIF. We finally ran out of JIF, caved, and bought 20# of SKIPPY about 2 months ago but people have been grumbling ever since the JIF ran out.
A couple days ago I came across BOXED for the second time in as many years, and not only do they have it-in quantity (40oz twin packs), ITS SELLING AT A REASONABLE PRICE!
I immediately ordered 30# last FRIDAY-and it arrived in good shape 4 days later on Monday. Since this was my first order, they even took off 20%.
Now I call that service!
We love Boxed
Boxed is so convenient! They offer a wude range of products, being respectful to everyone's needs, Organic, Vegan and Fur Friends needs. I love that they offer Organic products! Our nearest Costco is an hour away, BJ's an hour and 15 minutes the other way. So when you see a bit more on there Price tag I keep in mind the driving, gas, the time, and all the people I get to avoid. Boxed also has theses great freebies maing it fun to try new things, often new brands you would never of thought to try. Two more Boxed bonuses, they love our kids! There boxes make great inventions for the little ones and boxed is always encouraging the creative live with free gift bags of creative, invention projects.
*Con:
One Con I have had with them was they have super sturdy, rugged boxes, so they think they can put everything it! I don't believe in mixing chemicals and food and when you get heavy, fragile and chemicals what do you get? A huge nasty mess!
*Pro:
After speaking to the right person at boxed, they replaced everything for no charge!
I am a new customer
I am a new customer. I am surprised to read so long and unforgiven complains, because; in less that one week I placed two orders, receive them quickly,in a beautiful and strong equablue box(very original) without any scratch. All items were in perfect condition and in the way I saw in the website. I felt very, very, verygood!.I was happy to know that your carry is "UPS"; the employees are profesional, like the job, and are very polite. I sincerely, wish a bundles of success in 2021, so I do not need to worry shopping for my needs. Thank very much--------
Boxed Review: Terrible Experience, Lies About Delivery Days, Lost Order, No Compensation, Do Not Recommend
I had a terrible experience with Boxed. I ordered some wines and a few other items from them because my credit card company had an offer. I was excited to receive my order, but unfortunately, it did not go as planned.
First of all, they lied about the delivery days. I was told that my order would arrive within a week, but it took almost two weeks for me to receive only a quarter of my order. I called them to ask about the rest of my order, and they told me that it was lost in transit. I was shocked because I needed the wines for my wedding, which was only two weeks away from the day I placed the order.
I asked them if they could expedite the shipping because of the inconvenience and how fast I needed it. However, they were not helpful at all. They said that they could re-do the order, but I would not get the wines for another week. I was frustrated because I was never informed that they were not placing my order. It's been almost two weeks now, and I have not received my wines!
To make matters worse, they did not offer any compensation for the inconvenience caused. I think this is really unfair because I needed the wines for my wedding, which is only three days away now. I have to find somewhere else to get the wines, which is a huge inconvenience.
I went ahead to read other reviews about Boxed, and I saw that they use the "order lost in transit excuse" a lot. I regret not reading these reviews earlier because I would have avoided this terrible experience.
In conclusion, I would not recommend Boxed to anyone. They do not care about their customers, and they lie about delivery days. If you need something urgently, do not rely on them because they will disappoint you.
Boxed Review: Terrible Customer Service and Poor Packaging
I've been a regular online shopper for quite some time now. I usually order my weekly essentials from Amazon, and once a month, I order from other online stores like Vitacost, Jet, and Petfood Direct. Recently, I decided to give Boxed a try and placed my first order a few days ago. Unfortunately, my experience with Boxed was not a pleasant one.
When my order arrived, I was surprised to see that it came in a very oversized box. Most of the items I ordered were heavy, such as laundry detergent and seltzer, and I also ordered a box of kosher salt. However, when I opened the box, I found that the box of salt was busted open, and there wasn't any salt left in the box. The salt had spilled all over everything else in the box and ended up all over my living room carpet.
To make matters worse, there was no packing material in between the items in the box, and the only packing material was on top of the box. The packing slip did not have an email address or phone number, and when I tried to contact them through their website, it brought up a box that said I needed to link my accounts first. I finally found a phone number on the internet, but when I called it, it said to leave a message and didn't even tell me when someone would be in the office. I tried again the next morning, but still no results.
I have to say that this is the worst customer service I have ever experienced. There is simply no customer service at all. I would never order from Boxed again, no matter what kind of discounts they offer. It's just not worth the hassle and frustration.
Disappointing Customer Service Experience with Boxed: Accused of Fraud Without Evidence
I recently had an experience with Boxed that left me feeling frustrated and confused. A friend had recommended the site to me, saying they had been using it for years and were always happy with their purchases. So, I decided to give it a try and placed an order for about $100.
To my surprise, my order was cancelled within 15 minutes. I received an email from Boxed saying that I was involved in fraud and needed to contact their fraud department. I was taken aback - how could they accuse a new customer of fraud without any evidence? I reached out to their support team, but they didn't provide a phone number, so I had to communicate with them via email.
After some back and forth, they cleared my account and I was able to place my order. However, a few months later, my friend tried to make an order and had the same experience - her account was flagged as fraud. She mentioned my experience to the support team, and they cleared my account again.
Despite my reservations, I decided to give Boxed another chance. I added $100 worth of items to my cart, but when I tried to check out, I was told to contact support. When I did, they informed me that I was too risky and could not make any purchases from them. I was shocked - what did they mean by "risky"? I was just trying to order from their site!
Overall, I was disappointed with Boxed's customer service. Accusing new customers of fraud without any evidence is unreasonable, and their lack of a phone number made it difficult to communicate with them. While I appreciate that they eventually cleared my account, the fact that it happened multiple times is concerning. I'm not sure if I'll be using Boxed again in the future.
Mixed Feelings: My Experience with Boxed.com
I have been a loyal customer of boxed.com for the past three years. Their story of starting out small and being a family-friendly business really resonated with me, and I was excited to support them. When I first started shopping with them, they had a limited selection of products in each department, but they would occasionally offer amazing deals on items. They also provided lots of free samples, giveaways, and craft kits for kids, which I thought was a really nice touch. Plus, they almost always had some kind of promotional discount available.
However, things started to go downhill when boxed.com switched to using conveyers to fulfill orders instead of humans. While their product line expanded, their prices also increased. Additionally, their customer service began to suffer. I found that my items were being delivered damaged more frequently, and when I called to report the issues, I never felt like my concerns were fully addressed. It seemed like the customer service representatives were just trying to get me off the phone as quickly as possible.
The final straw for me was when boxed.com added a $5 delivery surcharge to all orders during the COVID-19 pandemic. This was a time when customers needed them the most, and yet they were adding an extra fee on top of the already-existing $10 shipping fee. I was really disappointed by this move.
That being said, boxed.com does have some great house-brand products, like their Prince & Spring line. Their paper plates are amazing, and their toilet paper is the best I've ever used. I used to love shopping with boxed.com, but the changes they've made have really turned me off. I think it's important for companies to remember that change isn't always good, and that they need to prioritize their customers' needs and concerns.
Boxed Review: Smooth Shipping and Packaging, but Pricing and Expiration Dates are Concerns
Boxed is a website that offers a wide range of products, from food to household items. Their website is easy to navigate and their shipping process is smooth. I have placed several orders with them and have always been satisfied with the packaging of the food. However, I have some concerns about their pricing and the expiration dates of their products.
Firstly, I have noticed that the prices of the items they offer are not significantly different from what I can get at my local grocery store. When Boxed is cheaper, the difference is usually small. This makes it difficult for me to justify using Boxed instead of just going to the grocery store.
Secondly, I have received several items from Boxed that are near their expiration dates. While I understand that this may be a part of their business model, it makes their products useless for reselling purposes. Additionally, I doubt that many individuals or families go through snacks fast enough to warrant dealing with Boxed instead of just going to the grocery store.
Overall, while Boxed seems to be doing well from an operational standpoint, their basic business model seems flawed. Their limited selection and the quick expiration of their items make Boxed unattractive for resell purposes. I doubt I will use them again and I struggle to understand who their main customers are.
Boxed Review: Great Prices and Fast Delivery, but Food Safety Concerns
I recently gave Boxed a try for the first time, since we're all stuck inside due to the pandemic. I found signing up to be a breeze, and the prices seemed pretty reasonable. I was able to find everything I needed, including 2lb bags of almond flour, which can be hard to come by locally and are often overpriced in smaller bags. I was impressed with how quickly my order arrived, and I even received an email update with a snapshot of my box. "Wow, this must be one of those trendy new startups," I thought to myself.
However, when I opened the box, I noticed that the almond flour (which was still in its original sealed ziploc bag) was packaged inside another ziploc bag, and there was a bit of flour dust around it. This struck me as odd. Upon closer inspection, I discovered that there was a hole in the front of the bag (not a busted seam, but a cut), and someone had taped it shut with the same tape used to seal the box. Unfortunately, the tape didn't hold up during shipping and the flour had leaked out.
I immediately reached out to Boxed support to explain the situation and request a replacement. However, instead of addressing my concerns, I received a lengthy response filled with corporate jargon about the company's humble beginnings in a garage in New Jersey and their commitment to customer health and safety. While I appreciate their dedication to their customers, this response didn't address the issue at hand. One of their employees had found a package of food that was leaking, and instead of properly addressing the issue, they simply slapped some tape on it and shipped it out. This is unacceptable when dealing with food products.
While Boxed did offer me a refund, the damage had already been done. I won't be using their services again in the future. It's a shame, because I was initially impressed with their prices and speedy delivery. However, their lack of attention to detail and disregard for the safety of their customers is a major red flag for me.
Disappointing Experience with Boxed: Missing Items, Poor Customer Service, and Unreachable Business
I gotta say, I was pretty disappointed with my experience with Boxed. You see all these happy people in their ads, but let me tell you, that's not what I experienced. I got my order last week and it was a mess. The box was huge and unbranded, and two of my items were missing. To make matters worse, there was laundry detergent all over the rest of my items and some paper packaging material just thrown on top. Not a great first impression.
So, I emailed them to ask for a refund or for the rest of my items to be shipped to me. They got back to me pretty quickly, which was nice, but they said they couldn't do partial shipments. They did offer me a refund or credit, though, so I said I wanted a refund. But then I didn't hear anything back from them. I emailed them again the next day to ask about my refund, but still nothing.
Finally, I got an email from another customer service rep saying that my inquiry had been "escalated... so that it could be handled appropriately." I had to take a photo of the box my order came in to show that the "Boxed" label had been cut out and taped onto another box by UPS. That was four days ago and I still haven't heard anything back from them. And to make matters worse, there's no way to contact them by phone.
I'm not the only one who's had a bad experience with Boxed, either. I've seen other reviews where people have had similar issues with missing items and poor customer service. It's really too bad, because I was excited to try out this service. But I definitely won't be shopping here again.
Update as of 3/3/17: I still haven't heard anything back from Boxed about my complaints. I even reached out to the Better Business Bureau, but they couldn't help me because "the business is either unreachable or appears to be out of business." So now I'm going to try contacting the NJ Attorney General's Office. This is just ridiculous.
Boxed Review: Great Deals on Household and Grocery Items
I really love ordering online, and when it comes to household and non-perishable grocery items, Boxed is one of my go-to places. Of course, I also order from Amazon and Walmart, but I always make sure to check the prices first. Boxed isn't always the cheapest of the three, but sometimes it is, and that's when I take advantage of their great deals.
One of the things I always order from Boxed is Polar Seltzer. You can only order three cases at a time, but that's fine with me since my family and I drink a ton of the stuff. I also love their nut mixes, paper towels, Palmolive, detergent, and snacks. One thing to keep in mind is that you probably won't need to pay sales tax or bottle deposit fees when you order from Boxed, but Walmart and Amazon will charge you tax. That's why I keep a spreadsheet to compare prices and make sure I'm getting the best deal.
I've always found that Boxed stuff is packed well, except for the Smartfood Popcorn. If you're thinking of getting the big bag, don't do it! It's going to burst. Walmart is the worst of the three when it comes to packaging, but Amazon is usually good. I've never had any problems with Boxed except for the Smartfood incidents (I tried it twice, and it didn't work out either time).
One thing I really appreciate about Boxed is how fast their stuff comes. I live in CT, and their warehouse is in NJ, so if I order in the morning, I often get the stuff the next day. Walmart, on the other hand, is all over the place. Sometimes I'll place an order, and an item or two will come the next day, while the other stuff will take a week or two. Amazon is mainly subscribe and save, so it just comes once a month.
Overall, I think online shopping is more expensive than going to Costco, but it's also more convenient. I'd say it's probably 5% to 10% more expensive, but you're not paying sales tax (although most food items are exempt anyway), and you're not paying membership or gas to get to the store. So, if you're looking for a great online shopping experience, I definitely recommend Boxed. Just make sure to compare prices and check out their great deals!
Boxed Review: Poor Packaging, Missing Package, and Terrible Customer Service
I've been using Boxed for a couple of years now, even though their prices are a bit steep. I've placed about 10 orders so far, and apart from the poor packaging, I haven't had any issues until today. I ordered a few items, including paper plates, hand soap, and lunchbox snacks, which totaled around $95.00. I received a delivery notification from FedEx, along with a photo of the package in front of a door. However, it wasn't my door. I searched seven adjacent condo buildings yesterday, but I couldn't find the package. I contacted Boxed today and sent them a detailed message, along with a photo of the package in front of someone else's door and a photo of my door.
The agent replied, asking me to wait for two business days for the package to arrive, as sometimes the delivery company marks the item as delivered before it's actually delivered. I was confused because there was a photo, and I didn't understand how that worked. I emailed them again, providing the same photos and the same complaint. The agent asked me to confirm my shipping address and contact number, and they said they would launch an investigation with FedEx. They also said that if FedEx had any further questions, they would contact me directly to deal with the issue.
I was frustrated because I had wasted so much time on this, and I told the agent that I would wait for two days, and then reverse my payment to them. I sent another email, highly irritated at this point, asking if she had read any of my emails. I told her that I was going to reverse my payment, and I didn't care about their "investigation" into the missing paper plates. I was so annoyed that I couldn't deactivate my account, so I changed my name to "Delete MyAccount."
I wouldn't recommend ordering from Boxed. The prices are high, and the company's customer service is terrible. I'm starting to wonder if it's even a legit company. It's not a good way to treat your customers, and I'm done with them.
Boxed Review: Rollercoaster Ride of Red Flags and Creepy Customer Service
So, I decided to give Boxed a try and I have to say, it was quite the experience. First off, I had some questions about my order and thankfully, I got a response right away. It was a bit odd how quick the response was, but hey, I'm not complaining. After going through the long process of picking out everything I wanted, I finally went to check out.
But then, RED FLAG NUMBER ONE! Right before I could finish checking out, two items disappeared from my cart. One was a pile of toothpaste, which was quite expensive, so I wasn't too worried. But the other was a free item, some plastic bags that were supposed to be Their Brand. You'd think that a reputable company would be pushing their own brand name items on you, right? But nope, not in this case.
Then, RED FLAG NUMBER TWO! The 10-15% discount that was supposed to automatically apply to my first order was nowhere to be found. I had to do an independent Google search twice on another device just to find the discount. It was not automatic at all!
But then, RED FLAG NUMBER THREE! The order came shockingly fast, even faster than Amazon! We ordered on the 11th, it was shipped on the 13th, and we got it on the 15th. And one of those days was a Sunday, the 13th, the day it was shipped. I felt sorry for the employees for this. Now, you might think this is a good thing, but when the order arrived, the batteries were strewn everywhere in the box. Yet, the overall large box, which was barely tapped closed, did not appear to have been drop-kicked (which, yes, UPS employees will do). The box with the batteries seemed to have been independently ripped and kicked open before packaging. And when we went through our order, there was not one single free item! We were supposed to get a trial size bag of coffee, their name brand "Prince and Something," and a free Rice-A-Roni personal sized serving bucket thing. None of the free stuff was there.
And then, RED FLAG NUMBER FOUR! I sent an email right away telling them that I didn't get my free items. The shock was that I got a response instantly, like they actually had someone waiting for a reply. It was way creepy! After some back and forth, they said they were sorry and would give me a $7.00 credit on my next order to make up for the free items I didn't get. I asked how long the $7.00 was good for, and they said for eternity. Too good to be true, right? Well, it was after this that I was blocked from the site for being a robot. Yes, you heard me right, a ROBOT. I can't even get on the damn site anymore.
So, overall, my experience with Boxed was quite the rollercoaster ride. I seriously thought I wasn't even going to be able to let anyone know what a pile of crap this place is. But here I am, sharing my experience with all of you.
Boxed Complaints 17
BEWARE of Boxed!
So I ordered, and thankfully when I had questions I was answered instantly. I didn't have to wait days on end with no answer like so many other people here thankfully. Infact the answers were so darn quick it was rather odd. I went through the long and arduous process to actually pick everything out and then check out.
RED FLAG NUMBER ONE!
1. Right before I managed to check out two items disappeared from my cart. One was a pile of toothpaste and was quite expensive so I wasn't too worried. The other was a free item, it was plastic bags and it was Their Brand of Plastic Bags, you'd think that any reputable company would be PUSHING Their Brand Name Items on you, usually that's the case!
RED FLAG NUMBER TWO!
2. The 10-15% Discount that is supposed to automatically exist for your first order GONE! No where to be seen! I had to do an independent Google Search Twice on another device in order to actually find the discount; it was not automatic!
RED FLAG NUMBER THREE!
3. It came SHOCKINGLY FAST, faster than Amazon even! We ordered on the 11th, it was shipped on the 13th and we got it on the 15th. And one of these days was a Sunday, the 13th the day it was shipped. (I felt sorry for the employees for this.) Now you could call this a "GOOD thing", but when the order got here, the batteries were STREWN EVERYWHERE in the box, yet the overall large box, which was BARELY Tapped closed did not appear to have been drop-kicked (Which yes, UPS Employees will do). The box with the batteries seemed to have been INDEPENDENTLY Ripped and Kicked open, BEFORE PACKAGING. And when we went though our order there was not ONE SINGLE FREE ITEM! We were supposed to get a Trial Size bag of Coffee, their Name Brand "Prince and Something" and we were supposed to get a free Rice-A-Roni personal sized serving, bucket thing. NONE of the Free stuff was there.
RED FLAG NUMBER FOUR!
4. I went ahead and sent an E-Mail immediately telling them that I didn't get my Free items. The SHOCK was that I got a response, INSTANTLY, like they actually had someone waiting for a reply. It was WAY CcccRrrrEeeeEeeePpppYyyy! After some back and forth they said that they were sorry and they would give me a $7.00 credit on my next order to make up for the free items I didn't get. I asked how long the $7.00 was good for, they said for eternity... Too good to be true and it was after this that I was BLOCKED FROM THE SITE FOR BEING A ROBOT.
Yes, you hard me right a ROBOT.
I can NOT even get ON to the damn site.
So yeah, my experience. Here I seriously thought that I was not even going to be able to let anyone know what a pile of crap this place is.
regarding order #********* Our company ordered the 10 inch ***** everyday paper plates with the bright green & purple
regarding order #*** Our company ordered the 10 inch *** everyday paper plates with the bright green & purple flower pattern for a very special company CEO engagement party. We ordered these because boxed.com was the only place that had this color pattern in 10 inch plates. We added them to our cart along with 20 oz bowls without a problem & paid. Instead of this color pattern on the plates, we received *** plates with an ugly ***, blue & orange color pattern which DOES NOT MATCH the decorations of the engagement party. THESE PLATES ARE SO UGLY THEY MAKE ONE VOMIT. We did not receive any notification from Boxed that these were no longer available. If we did we would have canceled the order. Now we are stuck with plates that cannot be used for our corporate event. We request a PREPAID RETURN SHIPPING LABEL so we can return them to BOXED.com for a full refund including sales tax. We have already filed a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau. As business owners we are also prepared to contact other businesses in addition to social media platforms so that we may share the poor business practices on the part of Boxed.com which placed profits above honest commerce. we appreciate your *** so that we may arrive at a complete resolution of this problem which occurs more often than is reported by the consumer.regarding order #*** Our company ordered the 10 inch *** everyday paper plates with the bright green & purple flower pattern for a very special company CEO engagement party. Disappointing Experience with Boxed.com's Grocery Delivery Service
I gotta say, I was pretty excited to place my order on Boxed.com on March 23rd. I mean, who doesn't love getting their groceries delivered right to their doorstep? But after a whole week went by and I still hadn't received my order, I started to get a little antsy. So, I decided to reach out to their customer service team to see what was going on.
Finally, on March 30th, I got a response from a guy named Dan. He apologized for the delay and explained that they were experiencing higher than usual order volume. He promised that they were working as fast as they could to get my order delivered by the following week. I appreciated the apology, but I was still a little annoyed that I had to wait so long.
But then, just a few days later on April 3rd, I got an email saying that my order had been cancelled. What the heck?! They didn't even give me a reason why. I was so frustrated and disappointed. I mean, why bother promising to deliver my order if they were just going to cancel it a few days later?
Honestly, I wouldn't recommend buying from Boxed.com. If you're looking for a reliable grocery delivery service, I'd suggest looking elsewhere. This experience left a bad taste in my mouth, and I don't think I'll be giving them another chance anytime soon.

Boxed's Tasteless Marketing Strategy: A Disappointing Experience
So, I recently stumbled upon Boxed, a website that offers bulk shopping and delivery services. At first, I was intrigued by the concept and decided to give it a try. However, my experience with the company was not off to a good start.
Firstly, I was taken aback by their commercial. It featured kids saying "What the $#*!" when a delivery truck shows up. I mean, what kind of message is that sending to our children? It's not funny or appropriate in any way. And to make matters worse, there were sexual overtones in the commercial when they talked about rockets going to space. It was just plain cringe-worthy.
I couldn't help but wonder what the marketing department was thinking when they came up with this idea. It's not clever or witty, it's just tasteless. And now, kids are going to be walking around saying "What the boxed" and asking what it means. It's not something we want our children to be exposed to.
Overall, I was disappointed with Boxed's marketing strategy. It missed the mark completely and left a bad taste in my mouth. I'm not convinced to use their service based on that commercial alone. It's a shame because the concept of bulk shopping and delivery is a great one, but the execution was poor.
In conclusion, I would not recommend Boxed based on my experience with their marketing. It's important for companies to be mindful of their messaging and the impact it has on their audience. Hopefully, they will take this feedback into consideration and make changes for the better.
Boxed Cash Rewards: Annoying Ancient Money Technique or Helpful Incentive?
Boxed is a website that I've been using for a while now, and I have to say, I'm not too happy with their "ancient money technique." It feels like they're holding my money hostage! But when I reached out to their customer service team, they were pretty helpful.
Basically, when you shop with Boxed, you earn 1% Boxed Cash Rewards on the total price of your order. That's pretty cool, right? But here's the thing: you can only redeem your rewards in multiples of $2. So if you have $5 in Boxed Cash Rewards, you can only redeem $4 and the remaining $1 will stay in your account until you have enough to redeem another $2. It's kind of annoying, to be honest.
But on the bright side, it's pretty easy to check your Boxed Cash Rewards balance. Just go to your account and click on "Boxed Benefits" and then "Cash Rewards." If you have at least $2 in rewards, you can apply them to your order at checkout.
Overall, I'm not thrilled with Boxed's rewards system, but I do appreciate that they offer some kind of incentive for shopping with them. And their customer service team was pretty friendly and helpful when I reached out to them. So I guess I'll keep using Boxed for now, even if their "ancient money technique" is a little frustrating.
But seriously, why can't I just redeem my rewards in any amount I want? That's stupid!
BOXED Review: Good Prices, Mixed Customer Service and Quality Control
I recently tried out BOXED, an online retailer that sells a variety of household items, groceries, and more. I had initially ordered some BOXED items through Zulily, but was disappointed to find out that I had to pay $10 for shipping if I didn't meet the minimum order of $50. So, I decided to give BOXED a try and ordered directly from their website.
Unfortunately, I ran into some issues with my order. I had ordered some noodle bowls that were supposed to be non-spicy, but when they arrived, they were actually quite spicy. I contacted customer service right away and was pleasantly surprised by the helpful and polite representative who assisted me. She apologized for the inconvenience and offered me the choice of a refund or BOXED credit. I opted for a replacement of the non-spicy noodle bowls I had originally ordered.
Two days later, I received the replacement order and was thrilled to see that it was the correct item. However, my excitement was short-lived when I realized that I had received an additional 12 spicy noodle bowls. I contacted customer service again, but this time I was told that all of their noodle bowls were spicy. I was disappointed that there was no offer to replace, refund, or credit me for the mistake.
Despite this issue, I still appreciate BOXED's commitment to giving back to the community. I was able to donate the extra spicy noodle bowls to my local food pantry, which was a nice gesture. Overall, I think BOXED has a lot of potential as an online retailer, but they could definitely improve their quality control and customer service.
Disappointing Experience with Boxed.com: Leaky Coke Zero Cans and Frustrating Refund Process
I recently made a purchase on Boxed.com for 2 cases of Coke Zero cans, each containing 24 cans. I decided to split the payment between a gift card and my credit card. When the package arrived, the box appeared to be in good condition. However, upon opening it, I was disappointed to find that the top case of soda was leaking liquid, causing all the cans to be drenched in soda. The box had become soggy, and I even found one can that was still sealed but empty of liquid. The second case underneath was intact, but it was a hassle to open everything that was dripping wet. I have attached a photo of what I found when I opened the box. Although I was able to salvage most of the cans, it was frustrating to have to spend half an hour wiping off cans of soda. The last thing I wanted to do when I got home was to bring a leaky box into the house.
I contacted Boxed.com to request a refund for the damaged case. They agreed to provide a refund, but only gave me back half the cost of one case because I had used a gift card. This left me out of pocket for half the gift card, which was disappointing. I found the back and forth emails with their customer service team to be time-consuming and frustrating. I would have preferred a more straightforward and efficient process for receiving the promised refund.
Overall, my experience with Boxed.com was not ideal. While I appreciate their willingness to provide a refund, the damage to the package and the resulting inconvenience left me feeling dissatisfied with my purchase. I hope that they can improve their packaging and customer service processes to prevent similar issues from occurring in the future.
Boxed Review: Poor Quality and Delivery, Not Worth the Hassle
This company used to be really good, but lately I've been having some issues with them. I don't know if they've sold out to some incompetent group of money-grabbing losers, or if their own cost-cutting has led them to hire incompetent people. But nothing is packed right, and I've received boxes completely destroyed with all of the product inside all over the place, open and ruined.
In the last three orders (with nothing breakable or wet ordered), they have never once gotten the delivery information updated without me emailing them and asking why the order isn't there. They always say two to three days, but they absolutely never deliver in that period of time. The order is still "processing" regardless of how long I wait. It's really frustrating, and it makes me wonder if they even care about their customers.
I think this is a completely typical underperforming, overpriced American corporation, or at least operating as one. You're going to get destroyed products and you won't get it when they say they're going to deliver. It's just not worth it. I would recommend going to Costco or Sam's instead. You'll get better prices and better quality, and you'll have it that day. It's just not worth the hassle and frustration of dealing with Boxed.
Boxed Review: Great Products, Unbeatable Prices, But Terrible Packing Skills
I order from Boxed a lot, like a lot a lot. I'm talking two orders a week, every week. I just can't get enough of their products and their prices are unbeatable. However, I have to say, their packing skills leave a lot to be desired. I mean, seriously, it's like they just throw everything in a box, add a few bubble pouches, and hope for the best. It's like they're playing a game of Tetris, but instead of trying to fit everything perfectly, they just toss it all in and hope it doesn't fall apart.
Now, don't get me wrong, I love Boxed and their products, but I have to say, their packers are the worst I've ever encountered. I order a lot of heavy items, and they always seem to smash the smaller items that have been thrown in with them. It's like they don't understand that an 80 oz bottle of honey is going to destroy a package of marshmallows if you throw them all in together. I've had large bags of sugar that were totally destroyed, but luckily they were put in a heavy plastic bag. I've also had bottles of honey that were smashed and leaking, and other bottles that were crushed but still intact. And don't even get me started on the samples of cookies or crackers that were flattened beyond recognition.
I've talked to Boxed about this issue over and over again, but it seems like nothing ever changes. I mean, I get it, mistakes happen, but this is just ridiculous. If you order from Boxed, be prepared for the worst. If your products arrive in one piece, which does happen occasionally, it's just plain luck. So, if you're willing to take the risk, go ahead and order from Boxed. But if you're looking for a guarantee that your products will arrive in one piece, you might want to look elsewhere.
Disappointing Experience with Boxed: Delayed Shipping and Poor Customer Service
I've been a customer of Boxed since the COVID pandemic hit. At first, I found their prices to be comparable to other retailers and even better in some cases. Plus, their shipping was lightning fast. However, over the past year, I've noticed their prices creeping up. In fact, they were often higher than Amazon, which we all know can be pricey at times.
Despite this, I decided to place an order with Boxed when they had a great sale going on. I was excited to receive my items, especially since I had always received my orders in less than a week, often in just 3-4 days. But this time, things were different.
After 8 days of waiting, I still hadn't received any update on my order. The website only showed that it had been "processed," which was the same status it had shown within hours of me placing the order. I was starting to get concerned, so I reached out to Boxed's Customer Service team via email.
I explained my situation and asked for a cancellation due to the delays and lack of updates. But to my surprise, I received no response. I waited another 2 days and sent another email, this time stating that I would be seeking resolution through PayPal since I had not received a response from Boxed. Still, no response.
Finally, 6 hours later, I received an email stating that my order had been shipped. But Boxed had completely ignored my request to cancel. I still never received a response from their Customer Service team.
Needless to say, I was extremely disappointed with my experience with Boxed. I will never use the company again and I strongly advise others to stay away. It's a shame because I had been a loyal customer for quite some time, but their lack of communication and disregard for my concerns has left a bad taste in my mouth.
Disappointed with Boxed: Received Wrong Product and No Returns Allowed
I was searching for Starbucks Pike Place Nespresso capsules on the internet and found Boxed among other websites. I decided to order from them and was disappointed to receive Kurig K cups instead, which are of no use to me. Unfortunately, Boxed does not allow returns for this kind of situation. I checked the website again and found that the Nespresso capsules were out of stock and no longer available.
I tried to contact Boxed for help and found that there was no phone number listed on the invoice. I clicked on the chat button and was directed to a site where I had to pay $1.00 to get information on how to contact them. The site provided me with a different address from the one on the Boxed invoice, but it worked. Now, I have to figure out how to cancel the answer service so that I won't be charged automatically.
I must say that I am very disappointed with Boxed. I lost $47.00 and I don't think I can trust this company anymore. I did my research before ordering from them, but it seems that they are not reliable when it comes to customer service. I have been doing most of my shopping online during the pandemic and have encountered very few problems. However, this experience with Boxed has left a bad taste in my mouth.
As a retired teacher with 46 years of experience, I am known for my trustworthiness. This is the first time I have had to complain about a company like this. I hope that Boxed will improve their customer service and be more transparent about their policies in the future.
Great Prices and Packaging, but Disappointing Lack of Transparency on Policies
The prices for the items I ordered from Boxed were really good. I even got a $20 discount and free shipping! It was definitely worth trying out. I didn't have any problems with the shopping process or the packaging. The little personal note that came with my order was a nice touch.
I was actually considering switching from shopping at Costco to Boxed until I had some questions about their policies. I wanted to know what their stance was on same-sex marriage and transgender issues. I also wanted to know about the benefits they offer their employees. Unfortunately, when I asked Boxed about these things, they refused to answer my questions, citing privacy concerns.
I asked if they could direct me to someone who could answer my questions, but I never got a response at all. This was really disappointing to me. I believe that companies should be transparent about their policies and values. I choose to spend my money at businesses that support the rights of all people and provide fair wages and benefits to their employees.
While Boxed may have policies that align with my values, their refusal to disclose them makes me question their commitment to transparency. I won't be spending my money with them anymore. I spend several thousand dollars at Costco every year and will continue to do so. Sorry, Boxed!
Sunny delights
I just received my order and the case of sunny delight was damaged and some bottles were broken and liquid poured out of them
cases of coke zero cans
I ordered 2 24 can cases of coke zero cans, half with a gift card and half on my credit card. When I got home the box was there and appeared to be in good shape, but when I opened it, the top case of soda was leaking liquid, and all the cans were drenched with soda. The box had gotten soggy and I found one can still sealed but empty of liquid. The second case underneath was in-tack but it was a mess to have to open everything that was dripping wet. I have attached a photo of what I found when I Opened the box, I did manage to salvage most of the cans, but the last thing I wanted to do when I got home was bring a leaky box into the house, and spend a 1/2 hour wiping off cans of soda. I requested a refund for the damaged case and they agreed but only gave me back half the cost of one case because a gift card was used. I am now out half the gift card. They wasted more of my time back and fourth with emails rather than just providing the promised refund.
think twice
Don't make my mistakes (as well as other people's).
To make sure they accepted your order and are going to send it you have to call them by yourself. Don't wait for them to do it, they don't practise things like that. Just call. Don't send emails, they will be ignored anyway.
Call and let them confirm your order.
Because if you don't do, they will cancel it. Yes, after this they will surely refund, but it will take forever (more than 2 months).
They gave me nothing but headache
I was very disappointed with Boxed attitude and unprofessional service.
I have made an order and they cancelled it!
No one ever contacted me to tell, so I contacted them myself when I found out that my order was cancelled.
Their rep said that my shipping did not match my card address and that's why they were not able to deliver my order.
That was absolutely ridiculous and meant no sense! I will not buy from them again, because they are terrible, and gave me nothing but headache!
I will never order from them again!
I have made quite a big order and received it in a timely manner. Reason why I decided to buy from www.boxed.com was their prices. Comparing to other website their prices were way cheaper so I decided to give it a try.
When I received my order three items were missing, I immediately went online and found their phone number. When I called no one answered. I tried every day but they never picked up the phone. I will not buy from them again!
