Hi,
This afternoon on Sunday March 24, I went to the Canadian Tire store in Vimont, Laval, QC and asked a customer service for product #[protected]. He brought it to me, i put it in my cart and waited in line at the cashier. It was 4:55 pm. I went specifically to buy this product.
I saw this product on their website it's on sale for $41.99 and the regular price is $279.99.
The cashier scanned the product and the price was $59.99 +tax. I showed her the advertised price online of $41.99, she double checked the product number and asked me to wait until she calls someone. Another person came and she told me that they can't sell me the product since it's reserved to someone else. This didn't make sense to me and i said that this is unacceptable. If it was the case, the customer service wouldn't have brought it to me. I didn't pick it up from the shelf. The CS gave it to me and if i hadn't argued for the price i would have paid it and left. She continued arguing with me and then tried to make me feel bad, by saying that if it was reserved for me, and somebody else took it, i told her, it's your fault and you could get this person another item. She called the manager of the store who was very arrogant and said, i can't sell it to you, and when he noticed i was insisting and saying that this is unacceptable, he told me we can't sell it to you because there's a recall on it. The product was advertized online and it is selling in other stores, so he was just lying to me in an attempt to get away with not selling it to me. I told the customer service, first you say it's reserved, and now he's saying there's a recall on it. I finally realized that i wasn't getting anywhere with them and felt really disappointed with such a deceiving and unacceptable behaviour. The manager lying to my face, that's really unacceptable.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
