Undelivered order (paid for)
On Dec 3, 2021 I paid $6250 for a tires wheels package; delivery was promised Jan 18. It is now March 25, 2022 (nearly 4 months) and I have not received delivery. A rep told me a month ago that the wheels were not available and I would be issued a refund. When that didnt happen I called repeatedly. They tell me that the wheels are available but that they cant tell me when, if ever, I might get them, and they will not make a refund. Order number [protected]. Reps involved Mila Parnell, Zoey and Sammy. All 3 have lied to me repeatedly over this 4 month period. Even once telling me the wheels were shipped; but that they were unable to find the tracking info. Today they tell me the wheels are ready but they cannot tell me when (or even if) they will be delivered. This is a clear Scam.
Desired outcome: Refund or immediate delivery
Bumper for a Honda
They sent me a bumper that is not for my car.
Desired outcome: I want my money back.
Faulty item
Purchased air strut from Carid.com. Product is faulty - leaks air. Called company for warranty replacement. Company stated item is under warranty. Sent pictures of part as they requested. Warranty was approved. Stated they would have supervisor call me today to arrange quick delivery. NOW they tell me the part is on back order and I have to wait at least 2 weeks + for a replacement part to be sent to me. This not acceptable. That means my vehicle will be out of service for another 3 weeks +. I requested a refund. They will not refund my money. I want a refund now.
Desired outcome: I want a full refund.
wrong wheel lugs bolts
I purchased a set of rims (4) for my 2007 Chrysler Crossfire. My issue is not with the rims but the fasteners (Lug Bolts). The 20 I received with the wheels were too long for my application.
I called and requested shorter ones after trying to explain to the person on the other end the issues, which I'm sure had not idea of what a lug bolt was.
About 5 days later I received a shorter bolt but with the wrong thread size. I needed a 1.50mm thread, they sent a 1.25mm thread. it took forever to make the person understand you cannot screw a 1.25mm bolt into a 1.50 bolt whole. Again I had to explain the history of bolts and was assured I would be sent the correct one this time Bolts arrived 4mm longer then the originals that were sent.
Called back again, went thru the origin of the bolt world again, was advised the right ones would be sent. Asked to speak to a Supervisor to verify the conservation and was told there are no Supervisors to speak with, send an email. My new rims are still sitting on the garage floor waiting for the right thing to happen. It's been 3 to 4 days since and I have not received a reply to my email or the bolts
As they say, if it sounds to good to be true it probably is and I believe they proved it. Lack of service is lack of service. They can blame it on Covid but a simple solution to simple problem i do not believe is asking too much.
If all else fails I will go to another vender and purchase what I need, and let all in the car world I know of my experience with CARID
Desired outcome: correct product as requested
Trying to return a item
I have been trying to receive an RMA Return label from carid & it has been absolutely impossible for them to email it to me! I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER ITEM FROM THEM! It should not be that DAMN difficult to receive a return label! I have spoke to numerous representatives at car ID just got off the phone with another one she said and I quote I should receive a return label today January 6, 2022.. I guess we will see! But most definitely I'm not going to hold my breath
Re: CARiD Order # [protected] {9281619}
I received my roof racks a week ago. I am please with the product, but very frustrated with customer service. The 4 keys that came with the roof racks only operate the one lock. The lock on the other roof rack requires a different key. I contacted customer service right away. I then provided a written explanation of the problem as requested and photos. A day later I was asked to clarify the problem and send photos again "as the photos I sent were not clear enough". So I explained the problem again and sent more photos. Yesterday I received a third request to clarify the problem. I sent an explanation of the problem again today. It seems like my key issue will not be resolved and that customer service simply hopes I quit bothering them. Thomas Bergum
Desired outcome: Get keys to fit the other lock!
Return Policy - They promised a full refund if item was returned! They Lied!
I ordered 4 tires, 37x13.5x18 Nitto Ridge Grappler from CarID. I paid $120.00 for shipping! It totaled $2070. 00 after taxes and shipping. When I placed the order, they told me they had 5 in stock, they would get four of them sent right away for immediate shipping. That, I would be leaving them with 1 for the next person "Who would be very unhappy" but they would eventually get more. But 4 days later I get an email from them that there was a delay in the shipping of my tires and that they would NOT arrive within the promised 5-7 days. But they "Would be shipping SOON"! They shipped ONE TIRE AT A TIME. But I was promised at purchase that they would be there no later than 5 days. Unacceptable!
I immediately found SimpleTire online and ordered another set because they promised 3 days shipping and I had a deadline. Not only did I get the tires cheaper at SimpleTire, $1884. 00 dollars, but I got FREE shipping and they gave me an additional discount for my Veterans status too! AND I got my tires shipped directly to the tire shop by noon on the 3rd day! Exactly as they promised! Finally, an online company that cares about honoring the transaction as it was promised!
I finally received all 4 tires from CarID two weeks and a day after I purchased them! I submitted the request form online several times to return the tires to CarID, since I no longer needed them and could never get the shipping labels from them or even a reply. It took me calling them and speaking to a Rep to submit the form for me! The next day I get an email that the RETURN WILL COST $510.68! And it will be deducted from the refund! I am to reply if I want to return the tires at that shipping cost.
THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM!
Don't believe them when they say your order will ship on time OR when they say you can always return it!
THERE's A REASON THEY ARE RANKED SO LOW EVERYWHERE ELSE ON THE WEB!
Desired outcome: Refund my $2070 dollars
wheels
CARiD website confirmed the rims would fit my 1979 F150 truck. After installing them, the front brake calipers hit the rim and put a groove on the rim. The truck is all original with no modifications to it. They will stand behind their product and I have two worthless rims.
Remington wheels
Bought Remington Buckshot wheels along with other items in mid 2020. Put the rims on my truck the first week of August. They looked great. I get asked all the time where I bought them. Took the rims off the first week of November for the winter. Didn't get them back on the truck again until third week of May 2021 because of my work schedule. Compliments started again. I use a microfiber sponge and public tap water to clean them. In September, the finish started peeling off the rim. At first, i thought it was tar from the road because it looked like a streak in a couple of spots. When i started spraying it down with the hose, large pieces began to fly off. I contacted CarID and they contacted Remington. Their response was that I was three weeks out of warrantee. I thought maybe I got ahold of a bad rim and purchased a new rim. How dumb am I? Now one month later, the other three rims are peeling. Time to purchase a new set of rims from another manufacture from another store. The reason for filing this complaint with CarID is because I could not find a way to contact Remington directly. We (I have teemed up with a couple of popular youtube trucks sites) am in the process of making a video with all the facts, recorded phone call and the condition of the rims as of today in effort to make it as public as I can. Possible include your response the this complaint from CarID's view point.
Remington clearly produces an inferior product. These rims have only been on my truck for a total of eight months with no salt exposure. If I can prevent one person from making the same mistake I did, it will be worth the effort
Desired outcome: [protected]@svmwny.com
Volvo wheel
I bought a wheel rim from them in August. They advertised it was under warranty. I had it installed on either August 30th or September 1st. I went on a long road trip on Labor Day weekend, during the trip I had to add air several times. I just assumed the tire had a slow leak. I got home on 9/7/21. It was a few weeks before I could get it in for my tire guys to check it out. I finally had it looked at towards the end of September. I was told the wheel had a hairline crack in it, there appeared to be no traumatic damage or dents. The tire checked out fine. It had to be a manufacturer flaw. That rim cost $281.50. I contacted CARid While at the Tire place. They said to take pictures. I did. They said they couldn't see any damage on the pic. So they suggested I go back to the tire place and get a work order describing what they saw and submit that. I did that as well. They said that I would need to return the rim before they could send a new one. So they suggested I send the rim back and they would send me a new one and bill my credit card for the new one only if the manufacturer denied the claim. I told them I would wait to see what the manufacturer will say before I agree to that. Right away, they tell me the claim was denied. They said I should have not waited 2 months to let them know. (It WASN'T 2 months, it was just a little over 30 days...)
Desired outcome: Exchange the wheel
Return wrong part
Ordered part, was wrong for my vehicle - here's their "hassle free return policy": take a photo to prove it, we're charging $3 for the return and not paying for return shipping.
Desired outcome: full refund
Racechip performance chip for a 2011 Kia Optima SX Turbo GDI 2.0 Engine
My 16 year old son purchased a Racechip performance chip for his 2011 Kia Optima SX Turbo GDI with 2.0 engine. He was sent a chip tuned for a Kia with the 1.6 engine. Was told to contact the manufacturer Racechip to have the chip "reprogrammed". He contacted Racechip and they supposedly "reprogrammed" the chip and directed him to install the chip. He did as told under the watch of a friend who is a mechanic. They took the car for a drive and the car started misfiring, the check engine light was flashing and was unable to drive. They got stranded outside of town. Since it was misfiring they changed all four spark plugs. They started car and it was doing the same thing and the check engine light continued to flash. Had car towed to a large dealership to have it assessed. Sent an email to Racechip about their engine warranty and sent email to CarID about a refund. CarID's response is below in attached photos. Racechip needs the mechanic report before they will pay and CarID is refusing refund for sending the wrong faulty part. The chip was never reprogrammed. We were lied to and scammed! My son is 16 and did his research and new what he needed and ordered the correct part. It is not his fault the wrong part was sent. He trusted the manufacturer and CarID in their advice and instructions even though it was wrong… now he has a car that he makes payments on that he can't drive! Still waiting for final word from dealership on the damage caused by this!
Desired outcome: Refund
I did forget to mention that I requested to speak to a representative in the US multiple times and the representatives that are outsourced kept passing me around to different reps! Then I asked for a supervisor and was told they don’t have any! Will file a small claims case in court if I have to!
Coilovers
The coil over kit your company sent me does not fit my 2012 VW Tiguan. I was guaranteed they would fit but when I took it over to the Niello VW dealership service department they said the rear coil over kit does not fit. I am getting the run around with your customer service and I need this to be taken care of ASAP as I now have no car and I'm being told that it's going to take 4-5 days!? I have to go to work and now I don't know how I'm going to do that as Niello VW has my car up on a ramp because of YOUR mistake . I sent pics over to customer service email as requested. This should be priority. Your company is shady to me and if I don't receive an answer I will seek legal advice and report you to the Better Business Bureau and Auto Bureau. Thank you

Read full review of CarIdWitheld refund for on canceled order.
I canceled an order that was out of stock with no known shipping date after being repeatedly lied to by customer service, telling me, "it will ship out tomorrow sir". Their web page said the part was in stock. Finally one customer service rep. told the truth so I canceled the order and requested a refund. I received a confirmation email and awaited my refund. After two weeks of NO refund, I called to check the status. I was told that they would contact the manufacturer and try to expedite my refund. WHAT? I did not buy the part from the MANUFACTURER! I bought it from CARiD!. After that, I called every few days for an update, just more of the same. Finally, I demanded a supervisor, Ace who promised me he" would take this under his wing and I would have my refund by the end of the week". Guess what? end of the week came, no refund! IT HAS BEEN ONE MONTH SINCE I ASK FOR MY REFUND. TODAY I CALLED AND WAS TOLD, "YOU PART SHIPPED OUT TODAY". NOW I WILL HAVE TO PAY $60.00 SHIPPING + 9.00 RETURN FEE, AND WHO KNOWS HOW LONG IT WILL TAKE TO GET MY MONEY BACK!
Desired outcome: A full refund when I return the part. And an admition they are wrong would be nice.
Wrong Bolt Pattern Wheels, wrong lug nuts
I ordered Wheels on April 29, 2021 specific for my vehicle - didn't receive the shipment until June 14, 2021 and they were the wrong bolt pattern and lug nuts. I have called several times, no answer or if you leave a message they don't call back. Repeated emails, finally got a response saying they needed pictures - sent that info 4 times now and haven't heard anything, no acknowledgement they received the pictures. They just give the run around and don't respond to try to resolve their mistakes. I have contacted my credit card company and disputing the charges. Will never order from them again.
Desired outcome: Refund and Carid provide return shipping
vais-technology/gsr-siriusxm-satellite-radio-interface-mpn-gsr-024-
I took the item to the local Pack and Mail to be returned. The return label was on the box. This was May 20, 2021. The item seems to best lost. It was lost by either Pack and Mail or UPS. CARID will not give me a refund. CARID claims that they cannot file a claim against UPS. I am not responsible for what happens after the package is turned over to Pack and mail.
Desired outcome: Refund

Wheel and Tire order / Customer Service
September 2020 I ordered rims and tires from CarID. Had to pay upfront. Originally my order was to be shipped to Texas, but due to multiple delays in the manufacturing of them, I had moved from Texas to Michigan. I had provided them all the updates for the change in address by phone and email.
February 2021 i get an email saying my order shipped, but was getting shipped to Texas, not Michigan. Called and emailed them to tell them the problem. Was told the shippment was not mine, and that information was attached to my order in error.
March 2021 I called to get an update on my order to find out that infact my wheels and tires were shipped to Texas, than were returned almost a month later and were now sitting in a wearhouse. I wasn't notified of this and was told in order to re-ship them, I'd have to pay $200+ dollars for the return shipping cost.
I escilated my frustration and mishandling of my order to a manager "Erica Anastad" who said "she would look into it."
April 2021, I had to call in again becaise the manager wouldn't reply to my emails to find out the return shipping fee was waived and my order should be shipped again. Expressed my concern that I wanted my order Ito be inspected to ensure there was no damge and the order consisted of what it was suppose to be. Its now been almost 4 weeks later and I still can't get any answers or updates.
I've called the company to escilate my concern again to speak with someone above a manager.., but I have been hungup on, put on hold to which the phone magically disconnects and now I sit with $4600 US outta poclet, and have no idea if I'll get my wheels and tires.
Desired outcome: I want my order inspected and shipped
hayden 3680 fan
I ordered a Hayden 3680 fan kit for my toyota truck. I was sent a Hayden pulley wheel. I jumped through way too many hoops to return the pulley. Two more weeks go by. I receive my order and it is the same f... pulley wheel . Carid wants me to jump through more hoops (take a picture, mail it to them, wait for an RMA to mail it back, and then maybe they will send me what I originally ordered). It takes three weeks to get scheduled at my local auto shop. That appointement is monday the 26th of april. I will not have what I ordered by then.I am driving to Reno Nevada (72 miles) to buy a fan to have to install. CARID will never get any more of my business. They stole from me. I got a $20.00 pulley for $161.00 dollars. Don't let them rip you off!
Desired outcome: Go back in time and deal with a reputable source.
