I recently made a purchase from CarolWright Gifts on June 8th, and while I received a confirmation email, I was disappointed to find out that the item I ordered was on backorder with no estimated date for when it would be back in stock. I've been trying to get in touch with the company to cancel my order, but unfortunately, both of their phone numbers seem to be disconnected. I've also tried emailing them, but have not received a response. I even reached out to them on Facebook, but still no luck.
To make matters worse, I paid for my order through PayPal, but the payment is still pending and it seems like PayPal isn't doing anything to help me out. It's frustrating to say the least, and I can't help but wonder what's going on with this company. Have they been hacked? Or have they really shut down like I read in another review, but are still accepting orders?

I called [protected] (the number given to me by an employee of Carol Wright when I called to complain) on April 5, 2023 to have this charge cancelled and refunded. I was told it would be taken care of.
On April 10, 2023, I called again due to the fact that my request was NOT handled. The charge was still on my Visa. AGAIN, I was told it would be taken care of and I received an apology for their error.
Today, April 25, 2023, this matter HAS NOT BEEN HANDLED! Needless to say, I am a bit miffed at all the lies and incompetence that has been attached to this case.
I called the number above every day and received a message that they were having mechanical difficulties, please call again. I feel I have been scammed out of $14.95. While it may seem a small amount to you, but to me (a widow on a low income) its a bag of groceries!

I ordered a comforter set from Carol Wright that was on clearance, then they canceled it for no reason so when I called not one person could give me a reason as to why they had canceled it. All they could say is "I don't know what to tell you". What kind of way is that to run a business. I received a call from Carol Wright online ordering service. I was asked to join Passport to Saving. I said no several times. She continued to tell about the saving I would receive. After the 5th day, the charge for the item appeared on my checking account statement, for they had debited my bank card. I called Carol Wright to cancel the order. Customer service had no record of the order, despite my confirmation number and e-mail. They also could not explain why my bank card was charged when no record of my order existed in their system. Yesterday I placed an order with the understanding I would get free shipping, due to your ad. Carol Wright.com charged me $8.99 shipping delivery fee plus $1.95 for free replacement. My mother (92yrs old) order recliner cover item# 64901 said to fit any recliner priced 19.99 and free shipping . The recliner cover did not fit her chair. We were told to just sent it back with the return label for a full refund. Out of the $25.89 they charged her she was refunded $12.00. I called to find out why and they said the difference was for handling and the return label cost . They kept $13.89 of my mothers money for a 19.99 purchase which they chaged her 25.89.
