I reserved a car through carrental.com.upon arriving at the location the rental place refused to rent me the vehicle since I was a local resident. I recived a email saying this is a one time courtesy efforts refund my funds.. that was November 21. And it states within the email 5-10 business days. It's now February 13 and have not received nothing.

First of all I contacted your company yesterday at 2:27 p.m. and spoke to Meghan and she said she worked for reservations. She advised me that she could not help me and asked if she could give me the information of who to contact. Because I was driving I asked if she could email me the information, as of now I am still waiting almost 24 hours later! She told me she couldn't tell me when she would be able to email me. This literally takes 1 minute to do and customer service is very important to me as I worked for a very large utility company and know what customer service is all about. This is disgraceful. This rental was my first experience with your company and will probably be my last. So disappointed in the entire experience. My reservation Itinerary #[protected] who was partnered with Economy was a horror show and I will go into more detail when I reach that part of the story. I tried to get a lower rate 5 times and each time it said it went through and then when I looked at the reservation it said cancelled. The difference was approximately a total of $30.00 cheaper. Very frustrating. I called your company and Economy but whoever I spoke to told me it was the other person! Well left that as is out of frustration and just figured I'd wait until I got to Economy. When I got to Economy to get the vehicle, it took me 1 1/2 to get out of there, not a happy person. I first questioned the price and they said they could not do anything for me. I even showed them the 5 cancellations. As part of their check in as is all, they asked specific questions related to insurance. I have additional insurance with American Express on car rentals. They asked me about my personal car insurance and I told them it was Commerce and they told me I needed a copy of my policy. Who carries a copy of their policy on a vacation? In all the years I have rented a vehicle I have never had to show an actual policy and just needed to furnish the carrier in addition I was just in Florida and rented through Budget on site at the airport. Naturally I had to get the information and have it faxed over which took some time and thank goodness I have a good insurance company. This was the second strike of starting off on the wrong foot. They finally took me out to a vehicle and it was horrible. It was a Nissan Sentra. I always check the vehicle but this car was in poor shape for a fairly new vehicle. It had two dents, chipped paint all over it, and the seal around the rear windows were detached. I have never gotten a vehicle like this. I questioned the seals and they said it would be fine. Not happy but they said there were no other cars they could give me. I made sure it was noted but I did take pictures. I will attach them. I am asking for a full refund and a free rental for a future trip. This was by far the worst experience I have ever had. I look forward to hearing back from you for your quick response. Rented a car at LAX to return in Vegas 4 days later. Quoted $220. Actually charged $385. Charged $55 for fuel even though I brought the car back with a full tank. Another $35 for "Facility fee" (Which I understand except for the fact that one would assume that when requesting a quote for a car at the airport they would include that fee in the quote). Only customer service available is an email address. When I finally got a response it was in essence, "Call the rental car company and take it up with them".

I booked a rental car in SFO and prepaid through CarRentals.com. I also purchased collision insurance coverage. After I arrived in SFO, I noticed only received collision confirmation. Tried to email CarRentals.com, they don't have customer service line! They sent an email saying not be able to find my reservation next day. That's it! However, I had been charged and the collision confirmation with CarRentals.com information on it. Tried to send at least 10 emails with evidences for my reservation. No response from CarRentals.com, I will stop to use CarRentals.com for my future car rental. They won't help you but take your money immediately!

I rented a car through carrentals.com for Dec 26 (9pm)-Dec 30 (6:30pm) at the rate of $41.10 CAD / day total of $164.37 CAD for the time stated above. The only additional charge I agreed to was the $20charge/day for the snow tires I was told I must have for traveling to Banff. I assumed an suv in Alberta Canada in the winter would be equipped for the conditions. I was upset with the extra charge but I was left with no choice. The worst part was when I looked at my credit card charges online I noticed Avis charged me $679.23

See emails below: CarRentals.com promised me to refund for a legitimate car rental that I tried to rent from Advantage Rent a car. Advantage asked me to show them my local insurance. I am a US citizen but live in a foreign country and do not have a car nor live in the US. I just come to visit my family that resides in the US. The email below shows that CarRental.com vows to refund me in 2 weeks and then said 2 more days and keeps on. I have not received anything. I keep asking and no response at all.

renting a vehicle
I used Kayak, which brought me to Car Rentals dot com. I was sure I was getting a compact vehicle about the size of a Civic. When I got the reservation email, it was for a tiny sub-compact! Within 24 hours of my order, I called the car rental company which told me they could not make any changes because it was through Carrentals.com, a 3rd party. There is no phone number for Car Rentals, so you are left with emailing their customer support. I have not heard back, yet.

I booked a reservation through carrentals.com and had to miss the reservation due to a canceled flight. The rental is through Fox Rental Car in Miami, Florida and they would not allow for a change in reservation. I cannot get a hold of a customer service representative with carrentals.com because there is no customer service phone number available. I would either like a full refund or the ability to change the reservation. The confirmation number is LFXP06D616 and the original reservation was on 11/7/2017 at 7:30PM.
Do you have your original confirmation or contract? You may have agreed to terms and conditions that will result in denial of a refund or reservation change.

I prepaid for a rental car with Advantage Rental Car company LAX and when I got to counter and presented my CDL & Credit card, the CSR asked me if I had Insurance and I advised him I did; he stated he needed to see the declaration page of the Company, I tried to find it on my phone and showed him what I could bring up, but he stated needed to see it.
I went back to my car and added the Insurance as it suggested I do and went back to another CSR and I told her I purchased the Insurance, but she said they "Advantage needed to see the declaration page with the breakdown of my coverage.
Of couse I left in a "huff" cancelled the Insurance and would like my 69.48 charge credited back to my Master Card ...Reservation # LADP0B2B46AD.
How many people carry their Insurance declation page around;we carry our Insurance card.

Arrived to get my rentak in Orlando & they ran out of vehicles. They stated for me to go back to airport & Advantage company would help & match their price. When I get to Advantage, they quoted me a higher price, stating that they do not match prices. What do I do ? I have no rental car. I want this booking cancelled and a full refund. bait and switch of cost
On Thursday, September 7, 2017 in preparation to evacuate Miami Beach prior to Hurricane Irma, we reserved a car from the website carrentals.com to be picked up at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood Airport on Friday, September 8, 2017 and dropped-off on Wednesday, September 13, 2017.
We pre-paid eighty dollars ($80.00) for an Economy Rent a Car with a daily rate of $9.50 for 5 days and the estimated tax and fees.
When we arrived at the Economy customer services desk, we were informed of the following:
1. Economy would not accept the insurance that American Express provides and for which we pay a premium. Although, we were not given the option at the time, we found out later that we could have given $1000 deposit to waive the fee. Additional Fee: $11.99 per day.
2. Economy charges for an additional driver, even though it was my husband of 40 years. Additional Fee: $15.00 a day.
3. Economy charges an upgrade fee to Florida residents who drive more than 100 miles per day. Additional Fee: $10.00 per day. This fee is not mentioned until after the order is placed online and given the evacuation order, we exceeded that mileage limit.
The final bill was $317.45 for the “privilege” of driving the Economy car out of harm’s way (Irma). We feel that Economy took advantage of the existing state of emergency.

They did not give me a final invoice telling me it would be sent to my email which I never received. CarRentals.com flipped the location for return that I had entered on their website, when I went to pickup the car there was an additional $89 charge for a one way rental, I ended up renting a car for less than the extra charge from another vendor. After dealing with the nearly non-existent customer service I was never granted a refund for the car that I did not rent. I will never do business with them again, what a rip off.

I booked with Car del Mer rental car managed by centauro in Ibiza, a car Ford Fiesta from the 7th to the 15th of September 2017. We arrived the 7th at 23.30 in the airport but no one showed up to bring us to our car so we took a taxi and went home. This morning I called the Centauro agency ( car del mar partner) and they told me my reservation was cancelled and to contact you for a refound. We spent lot of money and time for your lack of attention and car. We ask for a total refund.

I made a reservation for a car through carrentals.com - they quoted EZ Car - for the exact same price two different categories of car - (1) camry or equivalent large (2) supplier choice - compact or larger. I was looking for a large car and selected the first but it still gave me the second - now i am left with paying for a large car and instead will get a compact. The phone number in the reservation confirmation for EZcar nobody answers - i looked up ezcar website and they gave me a number for carrentals.com which turned out to be Hotwire instead.
Worst experience ever - I will not use carrentals.com as they have ZERO customer service. No way to reach them - buy at your own risk and hope you will get a car when you arrive at your airport destination.

I had to change the name on my reservation because the other company wouldn't let me pick up my car.
I was standing at the airport trying to reach out to both the companies but none of the [censor]ing companies helped me. Carrentals doesn't have a [censor]ing phone number so I had to send out emails which they didnt respond and I lost my time period to pick my car. I lost 200$. I have never faced this kind of issue with any company earlier. I had done the bookings 100s of times. This is disgusting I booked for a week. I had to again go and rebook somewhere else. So I had to again pay for a week. I lost [censor]ing 200$ for no reason I need my money back. The company has a disgusting customer service.

I would like to dispute the charge that was made on my account due to my confirmation and reservation showing "Unlimited Mileage" only to find out at the time of pick up of the rental that there is limited mileage. What I was previously advised was to refer to the privacy policy on the website however my reservation confirmation SPECIFICALLY SAYS "Unlimited Mileage" and no where on my confirmation does it say to refer to a privacy policy terms to see whether or not the unlimited mileage applied to my reservation even after inputting the address which is clearly located in Florida. This is absolutely absurd! Where on earth does that seem like a valid reasoning? Until someone can show me where on my confirmation or as I was reserving the vehicle it shows that the miles were indeed limited rather than "unlimited" AS MY CONFIRMATION SPECIFICALLY STATES WITH A GREEN CHECK MARK, I will continue to pursue that this is completely wrong and would I have been advised correctly I would have never proceeded with my reservation. I would like for this to be escalated to whomever is of the highest position to review this and should I need to write a letter or take further action I certainly will in order for me to receive my refund. From my past experience with the other employees I've been in contact with I can see you do not care the least about my inconvenience, but this was VERY last minute, I was not told about this until I went to pick up the car at the said time and date. This reservation was made for a pre-planned trip, this was a very big inconvenience to not only my time but my family as well as money.

I had put in for a rental car on 7/23/17 and the cost was $216 so when I went to pickup the car from fox reantal they told me that they could not give me the car because of this third party which is car rental.com that had took my money any and I am still left with NO CAR and I still do not have my money back on my card so what a woman to do they still have my $250 pending 😡😡😡😡😡 ps. Pissed off customer!
