I am a service provider in Texas who did work for Choice Home Warranty.I recently have been told my accoun was closed and would have to wait a min of 365 days for payment.I completed 8 work orders submitted for payment and after 3 months of calling and being told
1.Never recieved fax
2.Proper paper work not on file
3.Fax machine not working
4.Check is in the mail
5.Accounts payable department closed
6.Check never mailed, its going out next week
Now if I call and charge customer for work performed, it will void contract and funds will not payed, not that im ecpecting payment.I WOULD NOT RECOMEND DOING WORK FOR THIS WARRANTY COMPANY OR BECOMING A CUSTOMER...

Never buy choice home warrenty. This is a scam.
Same here in Virginia. Tune of about 10K. CHW does NOT pay vendors. Then they reduce by 40% from autho amount 2 months later. I have everything documented and ready to sue them in Class Action Lawsuit. ldanison88@gmail.com if anyone else can chime in on these crooks

This is Paul in Knoxville,TN and I've been ripped off by "Choice Home Warranty" as well. Not by as much as you have, but it's the principle of the thing. I work hard and try to play by the rules, don't know why there are different rules for big companies than for small business owners. Anyway, would like to throw my 2 cents into whatever class action lawsuit is taking place.
I am so ready to do a class action lawsuit against choice home warranty. We did work for one of their customers. They authorized an approval for a certain amount. We did the work and now are paying us way less. I spoke to someone from customer service vendor relations and she told me the price changed because it wasn't the price in our price guide. We never put those prices in there and we sure never put that we charge $55/hr. I have also never put in the price guide that I charge $300 for an opener.I have complained to accounting a couple times as well as spoke to vendor relations by messages from my portal as well as spoke to them on the phone. I will never accept another work order from this company again. They are fraudulent and they won't pay what they approve. The sad part is the customer that I did the work for said that they would back me 100% against Choice Home Warranty. Time to contact my lawyer.

I too am a contractor or should I say was a contractor for them. I started out I was put on a 6-month temporary deactivation and was told that I couldn't get paid for the my unpaid invoices until my temporary deactivation was up. I have now reached my 6 months and contacted them and was told they are not going to reactivate my account. My response is okay that's fine now how do I go about getting paid what is owed. I am still waiting on a response.

I have been calling and emailing CHW and I have been getting excuses from the vendor relations team regarding payment.
This is ridiculous, anyone whos issues has been resolved can you please share some insight. At this point I would like to join this class action lawsuit and start charging them for the time it's taking me to collect payment.

i as well is a hvac service company in illinois who chw and hwa owe me 6400 dollars. they shut me down as well stating im to expensive and had to wait 6 months for payments to be payed. it now is going on 8 months and no payment. i as well have talk to vendor relations who has told me that they have been waiting for an email back from accounting and havent gotten one. chw also did this to us about 6 years ago to use owing 5500 dollars and never payed. they feel they can just also change what they atho to us. These companies need to be shut down, there a scam and dishonest.
Not paying vendors is a 'business practice' for Choice Home Warranty. Sorry to be so blunt, but we Vendors are funding this fraudulent company's business operations. We have worked off and on with this company for several years. Their slow pay strategy is a way to get vendors into them for thousands in repairs, then they throw the performance BS at you and cut off payments. We are estimating that most vendors that have ever worked with this company has some kind of payment dispute. We are initiating a class action lawsuit against these frauds. Choice home warranty has done this to me. I'm a contractor out of Arizona. Choice owes well over $8000.00. They stopped my account because of high tickets. My swo. We're all authorized. I purchased air conditioner numerous times. Then when it was time to pay they shut the communication down. Said 180 days until they will pay. It now has been well over 180 days. It's excuse after excuse. I am filling lawsuit on Choice.
We have been dealing with CHW since 2011 and we have always had to chase our payments, they're always late paying or their accounting department changing the amount being paid at the time of payment and on March 10, 2022 we received a work order, replaced two shower cartridges and a kitchen faucet with a side sprayer, total amount due to be paid by Choice Home Warranty was $545. On April 15, 2022 when I started calling about this payment, they told me our account was put on hold for 180 days for turning down work orders due to Covid 19 illness multiple times, on day 180 I checked they said that it had been released but then put back on hold. No reason was given, only that they were experiencing a glitch in the system and it would be escalated. As of April 11, 2023 it has been escalated numerous times (5) approximately, with no answer. They blocked the online site to our company so we cant view the site any longer. I told them I would be billing the customer because this is "theft of services" they told me I couldn't bill the customer but yet they don't pay either. I wonder if all the money they pay these actors would be frugal if the actors new what a false and fraudulent company they were.
So choice now changed their system where you can't even speak to a live person and the message says go to relyhome.com when you sign on it you find out that there's no record of your work orders or the jobs you completed .
Can we contractors bill the choice's customers for the repairs?

im in AZ too, they paid me on 1 of 5 jobs. Now they will not reply, and they no longer take phone calls at all from any vendors, you have to message via their webpage.

Yes they been playing this game with me for over a year now and through it all the vendors relation people kept telling me that I will get paid and now this .I worked for many home warranties like this I never experienced

Im also in AZ, they havent paid me...Now you literall cant call,text,email or chat with anyone.Their number says that clearly, they do not take live calls anymore. I cant even ask wheremy checks are...Unreal that they feel this ok.They need tobe set in front of a judge and shown what justice costs.Scumbag company

Is there anyone from Michigan that has not been paid by CHW? I would like to file a complaint with the Michigan Attorney General.
Please check your 1099's. Not only were we not paid but they sent us a 1099. I would hate for a contractor to get taken advantage of even more then they already have.
