Poorly designed soles
I have worn clark shoes for over 10 years. I have travelled while wearing their shoes from Patagonia to China to Europe to Canada and all over the US. But something has happened. I bought 4 different styles of clark shoes this spring to wear on my trip back to Italy. All of them have heels that are too high. So when you walk all the pressure of your feet is on the heel and you end up dragging your feet. I thought at first I needed to go through a break-in period. But even after wearing them for some time, they still are problematic. I spent over $600 dollars on these. I even tried differnt sizes thinking it might be my feet. I then compared the new ones to older clarks and as I said the heels are much higher making the shoes very difficult to walk in. I even tried different inserts but no good.
Desired outcome: I would like someone at Clark to assess the heel height problem.
Clarks shoes
My dress clogs had the heels completely disintegrate while I was at a party. I’m 84 years old and had to leave by going down 2 pairs of steps and across a parking lot. When I checked bottoms they looked just like the others in reviews I’ve seen. Crumbled like I had walked in acid. Then as I told others what had happened I found many many people had the same experience. These shoes were perfect otherwise. And I have 3 more pairs of Clark’s that have only been worn once each. Now I cannot trust them. Will not wear. And certainly won’t buy anymore.
Desired outcome: I want reimbursed for these 4 pairs of shoes. Living on Social Securiity I can’t afford to replace these shoes. I think I should at least get $40 for each pair. I know I paid well over $60 for each
Clarks clogs
I purchased three pairs of Clarks a few years ago, they were stored in my dry clean closet and all are in barely worn condition.
Two pairs have had the rubber on the heel area crumble and disintegrate, they made a big mess and I threw them away. On one pair, the seams have just given way and torn right off. All three are not wearable. I threw the two crumbly rubber shoes out before taking photos and the ones with the ripped seams are photographed below. Clarks are certainly not a luxury brand of shoe but for the price that was paid ($69.99 EACH) I think that they should be more durable than they are.
Desired outcome: I woud like a new pair of Clarks.
Shoes
I was shocked to read about so many people complaining of the soles on your shoes disenagrating. My shoes are probably a couple years old as did not wear them during the lock down. I may have worn my cute shoes less than 10 times and would have been only for about a couple of hours each time. The bottom of the shoes are not even dirty. It was embarrassing as I was at a friends house today and we noticed what we thought was a GIANT COCKROACH. We both yelled and realize it did not move. We took a newspaper, shoved it outside, went back inside and noticed the crazy stuff on her carpet. I thought maybe I stepped into something, took a look at the bottom of my shoe and was shocked to realize that the GIANT COCKROACH was part of my shoe. After a good laugh, we realized we should contact you to see what could be done. The top of the shoes are in beautiful condition and your shoes are so comfortable and very expensive for me, but something I am willing to pay for. Per all the complaints I have read I will be surprised if you make this good, but it would be nice to have a replacement pair.
Desired outcome: A replacement would be nice. I wear a size 7
Child's school shoes
Went into your chichester branch on sat 3rd sept with my daughter to get her feet measured and to find some school shoes she was measured as a 1E the assistant then went to get a selection of shoes in her size and width my daughter tried them on and found the ones she wanted slightly bigger to give space so got insoles to cover for that so we paid and left my daughter wore her shoes to school on Monday as planned and Tuesday and was complaining about how tight she had to do the velcro strap i have checked the shoes today by taking the insoles out and have found that the shoes width is a H when my daughter is only an E but i now cannot take the shoes back as she has worn then and im not prepared to pay out another £45 for a new pair when its the mistake of the store and my daughter is now left with shoes she has to pull to tight to get them to stay in place properly. The time of purchase was 12:38 on the 03/09/22

Clarks Unstructured UNKENNETH WAY Men's shoe
Expensive shoe is falling apart, the black air/expansion vents on side of shoes next to laces has disintegrated on each side of shoe. See pictures. I am very unsatisfied with this and they look awful and show large gaps now when you look the shoes. Shoe is well cared for by me and show little wear but this section of the shoe must be defective to just fall apart and come off shoe.
Desired outcome: Would like company to contact me and offer refund or another pair. Waited too long on customer service and they don't offer an email address. Thanks!
Clarks Artisan collection sandals
Black barely worn sandals - I wore them to dinner one eve and the heels began to disintegrate... not just a little... a very dangerous amount for a person to walk on!
Look at the pics. These shoes are hardly worn. In a bit of research on the web, I see the culprit accused by the company is humidity! I live in the desert in a climate controlled home and there isn't humidity here. These are simply defectives materials!
Nice leather uppers but worthless and they made a mess in the car and in the house when I took them off to examine why I was having such difficulty walking in them.
So very frustrating. These are not cheap shoes!
Desired outcome: Would love a replacement pair similar to these in 7N
Soles of my shoes disintegrating
The Clark shoes that I purchased sometime ago have completely disintegrated on the sole and they become extremely dangerous and hazardous. Completely unwearable. Seems as though there is a serious defect with these shoes and I should be refunded a $100. This happened on July 16th 2022, these shoes were made in Slovakia and understanding they're 20 years old but I've never seen anything like this. As you can see in the 2nd photo they're in perfectly good condition on the top which is very deceptive about what's happened on the sole in the 1st picture
Desired outcome: I would like the money that was spent on these shoes as compensation.
Sandals advertised on facebook as Clarks brand
7/2022 ordered sandals from a face book company advertising Clark sandals on sale. These sandals are not Clarks. They are a cheap knock off. I'm not even sure what they are made of. And although they say guarantee refund, they will not refund only exchange and at that only if you pay the extremely high postage they request. This company is a fraud.
their web site is https://bit.ly/ePCNK6J
PCStore Pilotcable.com Free worldwide shipping over $45 full refund with reason with 30 days that's what their add says.
Desired outcome: refund for the money and a reasonable postage fee for returning them. prohibit this company from advertising this way The reviews they have must be fake or paid for
Return policy and customer service
On July 22, 2022, I was on vacation and decided to visit your store (Citadel Outlet #885). I am a teacher and have purchased many Clark shoes. This was my first time in this store. I walked in and there was a sale going on. I was so excited and decided to purchase 4 pairs of shoes. I fell in love with one and it was too small for my wide feet. The salesperson said I could check back again. I explained to her that I lived 5 hours away and she said she could order the shoe and send it to my house.
The shoe came and it is way too big. I called the store and asked how I can return the shoes because they did not fit. He (Jose) told me he did not know what I should do and to call the customer service number. For days I tried to call the customer service number and was unable to get to a person or prompt that could answer my question. The online directions all needed an order number which I did not have.
I called the store again and asked for the number and I was told she (Jessica) could not give me an order number and that I would have to go to the nearest Clark store to return the shoes. The nearest store to my house is about an hour away. She said even if the store is not an outlet she would be able to return the shoes.
I wanted to complain about this process (knowing she is not the one who has created it), however, she was not listening. She was talking to me while I was talking and stressed me out. I told her this was a major incontinence for me and that I did not appreciate the fact that she was not listening to me and told me to not laugh when she told me that her customers from Chicago have no problem with this process. The conversation became extremely stressful, I told her that I would file a complaint and just said goodbye and hung up.
She called me back within 15 minutes or so to tell me that she will refund my money and that I can keep the shoes due to my circumstances.
Desired outcome: There must be a better return policy for online orders whether a customer does the ordering or the store. I cannot see the difference and it would simplify the process.
A part of the sole of my new Clarks shoes has fallen apart after 2 months
I bought 3 pairs of shoes as a part of the offer 'buy two get one free' in May 2022. A week ago, to be more precise on Friday 29 Sep 2022, on one pair a part of the sole on right sandal has fallen apart and my sandals are not usable anymore. It sticks to the ground during walking like a vacuum cup and produces loud sound. Furthermore, it's quite uncomfortable to walk like that.
I was in shopping mall when that happened, so I went to the nearest Clarks store in Isetan KLCC Suria (Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia). I was told that they cannot do anything. However, I insisted that Clarks should take responsibility regarding this matter. After they called their manager, I was informed that they can repair it but that I have to pay for it. On my question how much should I pay they told me that they don't know that before sandals are repaired. So, I should give them my sandals and they would send it to the local shoe repair store that is not a part of Clarks services at all and who would probably completely destroy my new pair of sandals and make them DIY sandals. Then I would be informed how much I should pay for it.
No one even has mentioned to give me another new pair of the same model or to contact Clarks factory requesting the original part of sole that has fallen apart, which would be normal reaction for staff of such famous shoes company as Clarks is.
As you can see from the attached pictures, my sandals are new. I have worn them less that 2 months and never on rain. However, they are now useless.
Since I bought 3 pairs in offer 'buy 2 get 1 free' refund is not desirable option, moreover I was quite satisfied with my sandals before this incident occurred. It was really like walking on the clouds. However, that is now far away from any walking.
On the other hand, I filled out a complaint form on the Clarks website the same day, but no reply till now.
Moreover, I did research about Clarks shoes and soles and unfortunately I found thousands of complaints on the same and similar issues that have occurred recently in 2022.
Desired outcome: What I am expecting from Clarks is to give me a new pair or send original part of the sole that has fallen apart and to manage to be fixed within Clarks services and not by local shoes store.
Shoe soles falling apart
Shoes were purchased at Clark shoes in Williamsburg Virginia outlet mall. These shoes were very seldom used. In a four month time period there was black residue on my rugs and the soles on both shoes were crumbling. The uppers are in like new condition but the soles were falling off in large pieces. I took them to the outlet said the shoes were mfg'd in 2003 but i only shopped there in the last 4 years
The clerk dismissed me very abruptly too when i told her about the old mfg. date could not be when i purchased them but these shoes were hardly worn.
Thank you
Desired outcome: RESOLE OR REPLACE SHOE
Sole disintegrated
I gave my mother Clark’s sandals a few years ago. I finally convinced her to wear them. It is good that she decided to break them in at home as a huge chunk of the sole disintegrated. She is 89 and I am thankful she did not fall. I love Clark’s and felt they would support her feet and be more comfortable. I’m concerned now about wearing my Clark’s.
Mens shoes
A pair of black leather shoes purchased before lockdown were tried on for the first time today. As soon as I took the first step the shoe completely separated from the sole. I took them back to Clark’s who told me that hydropholis had taken place. I mentioned that they had not been near water and the reply was that ‘it’s got nothing to do with water’. Seemed like a ridiculous response!
Desired outcome: Replacement
Clarks Blue Ladybelle Women's 8 Buckle Slip on Open Toe 71860 Sandal
Sunday, July 25, 2022. These haven't been worn much (as you can see from the pics) , but when I put them on this morning I noticed that I was leaving a trail of "black dirt" behind. I then rubbed the sole and it just disintegrated right on my hand. I love Clarks and think they make a great shoe. But this unacceptable!

Black sandle
Hello Customer Service,
I am writing a complaint today; I have a black patent sandal 82078 in a 7m. I love the sandal, but I had to go take pictures of a house for my job this morning and got parts of my shoe wet from the grass.
Now all the black if flaking off from my sandal.
Please but in comments that people buying this shoe should not wear if planning on getting wet!
I am so very disappointed in the performance of this sandal. It feels great to wear but now looks awful. I do not have my receipt from purchasing.

Clarks summer sandals
I purchased a pair of summer sandals from Clarks outlet village in Cheshire yesterday,
Wore my sandals for 1/2 an hour only to find the inner sole to be disintegrating.
This is very unusual for me as I have worn Clarks shoes all my 56 years of my life.
I have taken photos for you of my receipt and condition of the shoes. I am very upset as this is unacceptable, the shoes are not fit for purpose.
Desired outcome: Refund please
Indigo clogs
I have now had TWO pairs of Clark's Indigo clogs where the heel has just disintegrated, leaving black tar like crumbles. I would be happy to share photos. The first pair fell apart while we were on vacation and we had to find shoe store to buy her an emergency pair of new shoes w to wear. The first pair was a light blue with a large daisy design on top. The...
