rude worker
y name is Andrew fabri I am writing this complaint about one of your working how she was going off at my mother saying that lane was for 12 items or less yes she is totally correct but the thing is no other register operators were opened at the time so where else are you suppose to go my mother asked the lady where would you like me to go and she's like we'll not here it's 12 items or less. She has blonde curly hair didn't get her name but she has very poor costumer pr and should be fired or giving a massive swarming due to speaking to a customer like that when only 1 register was opened at the time.
The boy said that she's always like this and goes off never puts on more than 1 operator at a time I think this issue should be fixed as she went into my mother's face trying to tell her off if they don't want our money that's fine we will go elsewhere and next time this happens I will be asking for all the money I paid for the shopping back as compensation as I know my rights as a worker my self

On Tuesday morning I was doing my full food shopping with 4 month old finally put all my groceries through and went to pay when the check out operated accidentally cleared my order, he laughed and said I had to re put all the groceries up again to be scanned no apology nothing, in the mean time my four month old was crying and restless and having all the...
Read full review of Coles Supermarkets Australiamaharaja choice samolina
I purchased a sealed packet of Samolina (maharaja choice ) from Coles at Pacific Werribee plaza, Hoppers Crossing 3029, Victoria, Australia. To my utter shock and dismay, the product was infested with worms. Bought another packet the same day and that too is infested with worms which are visible without opening the packet. The date of expiry is the year 2023. It seems that there is no quality check and the quality of products at Coles is deteriorating. The best supermarket is selling substandard products and playing with the live of people.
returns card
I returned an item 4 months ago and was given a returns card - when I went into my local Coles store, which I have been shopping in for years I was told that it had expired and that I could not purchase anything with the card -
So - I have spent $20 at coles for a dodgy item and now I have no claim on any of that $20 of my hard earned money.
What can u do for . me ?
coles brand decaf coffee
We purchased a coles brand decaf coffee. The taste is horrid and we a re very disappointed with it. We often buy Woolworth's brand decaf coffee and have no problem with it. We use both Coles and Woolworth stores in our locality. I think maybe you need to source a better manufacturer. I don't really want to complain just make you aware that it is a very poor tasting product. We have no beef with Coles.
customer service representative
Hi there,
This is in regards to the Coles Supermarket store at Hoppers Crossing, Vic 3029 Australia.
I went to the store around 10:40 pm AEST on 12th Oct 2019 to buy yogurt. The CSR named as Emily was serving 2 customers, 1 at smokes and 1 at grocery, I was the third one. Anyway the only point here was she took 10 minutes to serve us just because the other 2 customers seemed to be friends of her. I've too worked in customer service jobs and do understand the importance of having a short talk with the customers but in this case I found the CSR very rude. Even when I gently informed her about this she didn't care to apologise or about showing some gratitude and just turned her back on me. I am regular customer at Coles Supermarkets and would appreciate some better CSR serving the customers.
Thanks & Regards,
Gagandeep S. Khanna
service
The girl (Indian looking) who was looking after the self serve counter was insisting me to scan my coles reusable bag, It was so obvious that my bag is not new coz I brought that bag. The way she said it was not really nice. There wasn't much customer that time (Oct 12 2019 around 6:30pm). After I finish scanning all my groceries she took the basket I used, she was dragging it on the other counter she walk passed on making an unnecessary noise. I really don't feel comfortable when she was making that noise and when she asked me to scan the bag.
That happened in Coles Edgecliff
service staff
Hi
Most time when I have shopped at this particular Coles I walk out very unhappy with how my groceries are packed. How much training dose Coles provide there service staff on how to pack customers groceries? I understand that not everyone like things packed the same way but I'm tried of having to repack my bags at the checkout. Some staff never put enough items in the bags when clearly more can fit or they pack so randomly that they use all of my bags up and would like me to purchase more bags! When all they need to do is take a bit of care in packing my item which would all fit in the bags that I have brought from home... I roughly spend around $250.00 a week at Coles but I'm getting to the point where I'm not sure that I will continue to do so.
aqua pura fruit water
I am a long time user of this product as this is the only fluid I drink ! I have been told that coles is no longer stocking this product even though the website says it is available at all Cole's stores. In store I was informed that I am not the only customer that has complained about this product being removed. This is one of the reasons people end up sourcing their products elsewhere !
i've been applying for jobs for a very long time to no avail
I think I initially applied for a job in 2016 and for 3 years now more than one Coles has been rejecting my applications I have previous experience in this field and the fact that there are so many Coles jobs being offered every day of the year and I've been rejected every single time is not right and I'm starting to think I've been discriminated against I don't expect to get a job first go but after years of applying with experience in this field the only thing I can come to is that your discriminating against me because of my age I am 31 years old and I believe I can provide a very good employed to this business I am very upset that it is taking so long just be told no I would like an opportunity to at least have a go go without being told every time no you have not been able to shortlist me on this occasion which is happened more than 10 times I deserve a chance just like everyone else does and I would be extremely grateful to be given that chance your sincerely Daniel Harsas my contact info is Renegade1988.[protected]@gmail.com) Phone) [protected])Home)[protected]
bread
I have been purchasing Coles High Fibre Multigrain Sandwich loaf wich retailed for $2.30 a loaf for quite sometime.
This bread was in a green wrapper with a weight of 700g
On the weekend I went to purchase more of this bread & for awhile I could not find it.
I eventually found the bread in another coloured wrapper ( blue) with a weight of 650g & also the bread is $1.60.
Now bread this bread so small it is not worth purchasing & if Coles cannot come with better alternative I will be going somewhere else.
Why don't Coles ask their customers before they make these changes?
coles brand chicken breast tenders
Hi there I've been buying Coles Brand Chicken Breast Tenders for as long as they've been selling at Coles Stores. This product was a favorite of our family. They were very good quality real chicken pieces which we loved, they were very tasty and quick and easy for a weeknight meal. However, last time I went to buy then found label "New Recipe"! I could tell just by looking at the chicken pieces that they were very different. The looked thinner and just did not look the same quality. I decided to buy a pack and try anyway, but my impression was correct. This product has been totally altered and is not CRAP. They are not using real chicken pieces any more, this is some sort of manufactured minced up chicken with booster additives to bulk up the mass of the product, and is now nothing like real chicken pieces. Note however, the price has not changed! Will not be buying again! Rubbish and very disappointing. Why is it that whenever you find a product you really like and enjoy and is good quality they take it way. It's all about the profit margin and pure greed, no concern for having quality products or real customer satisfaction! Not happy Jan! Very disappointed!
Above meant to read "is NOW crap!" (not NOT!)
Just want to add my support the post above.
Coles Chicken tenders used to be the only ones on the market that I would buy. They were moist, delicious, and comprised a high percentage of actual chicken. Now they are a poor imitation, less chicken, more filler, no longer tender, and they're tasteless.
New Recipe?
Cost-cutting measure more like it.
Please bring back the Original Recipe! I'd even pay more.
closing hours
About 7:45pm on Monday the 7/10/2019, my wife contacted Coles Wadalba and enquired about the stores closing time due to this day being a public holiday. My wife was told that the store would close at its usual Monday time being 10pm. I arrived at the store at 9:02pm to find the store had closed at 9pm and displayed an A4 sized piece of paper stick to the door. I attempted to speak a staff member through the window and explain the information we had received over the phone. This staff member was to busy to even approach me at the window and appeared disinterested in my concerns. I am not happy with this service displayed. I have been let down by this store in numerous occasions. The store fails to stock regular items and we often find ourselves going to other stores to get what we need. My wife and I have always shopped at Coles however will be shopping at Woolworths nearby to save ourselves the disappointment and the need to go to multiple stores.

Daniel
antipasto mix
On Saturday 5 October I purchased from Coles Balaclava a container of the self serve antipasto mix as part of snacks for a few friends coming over that night. We had a small amount among other things and quickly found ourselves all busting to to to the toilet. Without eating anything further we decided to head out for dinner despite having upset stomaches. On Sunday 6 October (Yesterday) I prepared for myself a plate of the remainder of the container along with a glass of red wine. After finishing the container I immediately ran to the toilet where I spent an hour with bad diarrhea which followed by extreme stomach cramps until early morning. I felt a slight hint of sickness, but I think that was due to the pain of the cramps. My partner came very close to calling an ambulance at one stage as the pain became that strong. I am usually quite resilient to food intolerances therefore I am never affected to this extreme. I think the fact that the tubs are now self service leaves them exposed to elements of all shoppers passing by. I am still experiencing minor pains now and am only now able to eat. I have missed a day of work because of this. I would like this investigated and resolved right away. Very unhappy with the outcome of my weekend!
I have attached a photo of the tub for your reference. My email is artiom.[protected]@live.com.au or phone [protected]. Please come back ASAP to me and let me know whats been done about this. I would encourage sending samples to my previous employer DTS Food Assurance to test for salmonella or listeria contamination.
hot roast pork
Placed order in person at Mitcham Store on 26 September for Roast pork to be picked up at 6.30 pm on 29 September. When I went to pick it up at 6.25 pm on 29 September was informed that previous shift had not placed pork in cooker. Staff would not contact neighbouring stores to see if they could assist., had to tranel to Tunstall Square & The Pines myself, unsuccessful.
Great embarassment as roast vegetables had been cooked, spoilt night for ourselves & interstate visitors as we had been looking forward to pork.
Letter of complaint hand delivered to Mitcham store addressed to "The Manager"
on 2nd October, no response to date hence this note.

quality of fresh herbs in store
Hi,
I really like Coles and always shop there, have been shopping with you fro over 15 years in St Kilda.
However, i really think the quality of the fresh herbs available in the fresh produce section in my local store is just not great. It's the same in all of your stores i believe. I am not sure if the fresh herbs you sell in your stores are hydroponically grown or if they are grown in the earth? I am studying Horticulture, and I just notice that the quality of the herbs i grow myself in the garden are far superior to what is available at Coles. Not everyone has this luxury.
The herbs in store are often just not robust, and do not have a strong scent or flavour. They are often kind of insipid, and not a strong colour either. The bunches are also too small. I think most people who use fresh herbs in their cooking would be happy to pay a bit extra for larger bunches and also better quality herbs. I don't mean to sound petty but I take my diet and my health very seriously, i will be studying nutrition next year at uni. Could someone please look in to perhaps stocking better quality fresh herbs? They don't need to be organic, it would be good of course but maybe that would be expensive ? Also could you possibly start to stock Vietnamese Mint as its a very useful herb. I believe herbs will become more and more popular as people take an interest in cooking healthy food at home.
I will attach a photo of some fresh oregano grown in a community garden.
Thank you for your time.
Warm wishes,
Celeste Hughes

"fresh" meat
I purchased a piece of Roast Beef Topside with the expectation that it would be just that. Instead to my dismay it is only 91% Beef. The remaining 9% is additives you have put into it which I don't want. The ingredients state. No added hormone Australian Beef (91%), Water, Acidity regulator, (325 sodium carbonates, 330) Dextrose, Salt, Sugar, Yeast Extract, Vegetable gum(412) and celery extract. It may surprise you to know that I actually have running water in my house so I don't need you to add it. As for adding salt and sugar - Ridiculous that is not needed, and nor is the other rubbish. You brag about 'No added hormones' and then proceed to put all that other stupid stuff into the beef. Please rest assured that I will not be EVER purchasing any more meat from Coles Supermarkets.

refused service on cigarette sale
I am a 49 year old man who was refused service today on the sale of cigarettes, due to the fact that I used the word "she" which is my wife. I made a complaint to the manager who indicated it was law. (which after investigation by my wife it is not). We 90% buy all our groceries from coles and also use the home delivery service for my wife while I am away. It was also mention that home service the customer must produce id when smokes are delivered (Never happened once). I will not be shopping at coles Mt Gravatt East again. I will use other Coles else where but if I cop the again you have lost a loyal custumer and I won't be shy in spreading it around social media either.
Funny the manager offered to sell the cigarettes in the end, I refused and bought them from Woolies.

Read full review of Coles Supermarkets Australiacoles digital gift cards are rubbish.
What an absolute joke. i get my digital gift card sent to me via email. I use to print these cards off on A4 paper at home and with printed bar code, attempt to use them at Coles' check outs. Well what a lot of BS. They very rarely worked as they would not scan. I would stand at the check out with a line of customers standing behind me and wait for the staff to try and get the printed bar code to scan. The young checkout operators were so embraced and flustered trying to get these useless gift cards to scan. Even the check out supervisors had the same trouble. What would happen they have to type the 16 digit bar code number in for the gift card to work. If they get one of the numbers wrong, we attempt it again.
I was told many times to leave the gift card image on my mobile phone (as they are suppose to work better) and scan the the barcode from there.
Well, what a JOKE number 2.
I have never been able to go to a self serve or a operator control check out and have these gift cards work initially. Every time I have to call the checkout supervisor for help and often they would have to move me to another checkout and try the scanner at the new locations. It is so difficult to get the bar code to scan from the phone. I am told you "needed to hold the phone this, no that way, keep waving under the scanner and it will eventually work.
Coles, this is a DISGRACE. You are embracing your customers who are trying to use YOUR technology are your checkouts. How Coles management can allow this scanning problem to continually happen astounds me.
If a senior manager from Coles operations actually reads this complaint, you need to FIX this urgently. I have been a very loyal customer of Coles, but I am not sure for how much longer, after using this gift card rubbish. Sort it out Coles. I would not recommend using your electronic gift cards to anyone.
