This product is currently on special however there is no stock available. I contacted customer service and was advised there was nothing that could be done and that no rain check could be provided to honour the special price once stock had become available. This is false advertising and completely misleading. I will be lodging a complaint with fair trading should I not receive any action regarding this.
lamb with sweet spiced anglo-indian sauce
I went to my Coles Supermarket in Caloundra Sunshine Coast QLD, to buy the new sauce that MKR said was going to be in stores as of today 21/3/17. I was told by the person at the front desk that only a few jars were delivered and that they didn't know, when they would be getting more. I have a question for you Coles, why do we as customers watch shows like MKR and then you can't deliver a product that especially the major Coles stores should have had plenty of to sell. Not acceptable.
Im hoping to go to coles tomorrow after wartching a recap of the show hopefully i find it
Coles supermarket balaclava
For the past few weeks this supermarket had no--one on the registers around 9pm, 9.30pm. Register1 was open but the checkout person there has to sell cigarettes and this can entail a long wait.
Friday night three weeks ago, there was a woman queued at Register 1 with two trolleys of shopping.
We asked to speak to the manage who eventually arrived. He was reluctant to open another checkout even though there was another customer also registering a complaint about this situation.
He told us to make a complaint online and we had to argue our case for him to eventually reluctantly open up another register. His attitude was poor and that it was our problem, not the store's problem.
Last Friday night we went do do our usual big shop and they failed to have basic items like Physical milk and frozen spinach. They rarely stock Perino yellow tomatoes, which I can obtain regularly from the Chapel Street store.
We ended up abandoning our attempt to shop at Balaclava on Friday night and went instead, at our inconvenience to the Chapel Street store. We ere told there that they open up a checkout from 10pm on. This seems odd because Friday night is busy and it is inconvenient for them to process large quantities of goods through the front side register which is not set up with a conveyor belt.
This comes at a time when I am aware Coles is losing customers to Woolworths and Aldi. Improved customer service would surely make a difference.
I look forward to your response, thank you.

online customer care, etc
Ordered online shopping @ Coles on Monday 13th march 2017.
*Shopping delivered, that I didn't order - Tuesday 14th March
*Couldn't book delivery time slot so had to ring & guy did it over phone for me & charged my card - said all gone through
*got text message next day that card declined
*shopping delivered - wrong items
*rang call centre asked if driver could collect shopping & take back to store, 5-10 minutes after truck driver left, but they rang him to collect shopping "supposedly he had already delivered last delivery & was back = lies cause he left 5-10 minutes earlier & he was from 45 minutes away.
*told I couldn't deliver to my local store for a refund - had to return items to shellharbour = 45 minute drive to get there & 45 minutes back home.
*drove items back to Shellharbour, store started scanning items = wrong prices were scanning to what I paid on receipt eg on online invoice I was charged $9.90 per packet of 12 toilet rolls but were scanning @ $6 per packet
*i was charged $14.51 per block of 1kg cheese - worker said they've never been $14 per block of cheese
*they had to individually scan each item & change item prices cause they were different to what I had been charged / on my online delivery invoice receipt
*didnt get full refund - items scanned / refunded were different on final receipt print out compared to online invoice / receipt eg broccoli charged on invoice $2.74 on refund receipt $2.66, sweet potato charged $2.15 on invoice but refunded $2.13, same pies $18.70 charged but only refunded $9.35 & $7.65.
*was told manager / online manager was going to call me Wednesday BUT NO ONE HAS CALLED until today (Friday)
Store credits aren't enough for the stuff around...
I have NEVER had a problem with Coles before until Tuesday this week.:...
Also top it off, had shopping delivered Thursday after this huge " up & a few items were missing!
I want to take this matter further!
coles homebrand butter
I went shopping at Coles Lismore NSW today, I was shocked to see the price of the homebrand butter had jumped up a whopping 60 cents!
That is truly outrageously disgusting, did Coles think nobody would notice, even the staff were outraged at the price hike.I did not even finish my usual shop there, I went to Woolworths and Aldi.
I will be shopping at Woolworths for butter now, it still remains at $3.
OUTRAGED
nestle choc mousse 124g (2tubs) standard fat pack
I have shopped at Coles southern river WA for past 2 years every week and among other things purchasing 4 x 2 pack Nestle Choc Mousse 124g (2tubs) per week. thank you
We have now moved back to our home in Woodvale and I have been visiting
Beldon Coles who until very recently stocked both low fat and standard fat packs
To my deep disappointment For some reason the Coles Dairy procurer orders only the low fat pack which I will not buy...
Coles may choose to stock according to their choice/demand
However if I cannot purchase the item of my choice I will cease to shop at coles.
Coles at Beldon WA is convenient to me, but so is the IGA at Woodvale,
IGA price is greater than Coles but at least I can get my item of choice.
I am sure I am not the only customer with this same complaints and respectfully suggest you re-think the stocking position ad let me
know assp
otherwise I shall not be making un-necessary trips to Beldon Coles
again..
I may only spend $6000 pa at Coles
but thats for just me...but u get zilch when I cease visiting coles
I am sure you get the drift...
customer service
I asked a lovely lady in the deli if someone could assist with with the bread. As she was busy with other customers she called out to 'tony' the so called manager in the deli to assist me. Tony then made no acknowledgement of myself standing there and in a 'couldn't be bothered' tone said one moment. For 4.5 minutes I was standing at the deli waiting for this 'manager' to cut my bread and help me instead she was doing paper work in front of me and determined to finish it off before assisting me! It was absoloutely appalling! The whole almost 5 minutes of watching who go through paper work and thinking 'it must be another tony out the back' she was just doing her paper work and ignored me?! That is disgusting. When she finally came out, she didn't apologise for making me wait she had a huge grin and just was plain rude! Coles in gisborne is the only place I shop because i've always like how easy it is! This happened today at around 4.40pm so I would appreciate it if you went over the camera footage. She is called a manager yet can't be bothered doing her job? The amount of money I spend weekly at coles in gisborne is insane, so i'm reconsidering going somewhere else. It's embarrassing especially when the other lady who was working at the deli today was great. I really think you need to reconsider who you promote because it's managers like tony in the gisborne deli who make you lose business.
That may be true but according to the Coles Way (code of conduct) customers come first AND they're to "care passionately".
I could add more but the point is there should be an automatical apology like "..sorry to keep you waiting, can i help you"
YES...there should, and YES...they are special because customers are the bread and butter of a business. I think it's YOU that needs to get over your bitter, grumpy, self centered attitude. The moral fabric of this world is just horrendous at the moment.
lack of seating
Hi, We, mywife & I, as a retired couple, shop at lynbrook each fortnight being conveniently close by to us residing at Bangholme.
As neither of us are physically well, we tire quickly and look-around for somewhere to sit, alas, not to be found anywhere, espacially in -store. As the majority of shoppers these days are either elderly or disabled, why has not these consumers/customers taken into account, as you'r website for this store states that it takes 'on-average' 20 minutes to shop. Totall crap!, as the isle or not only confusing to navigate but to find the right product in the right isle, well, you go shop there! as it takes time just to not only physically get-around but to find the product one needs either out of reach on the top shelf, or maybe on the bottom shelf, (You try that kinda excercise)
Anyway, why not provide seating, is the compalint
Kind Regards
Dave
advertising chicken breast
Your latest advert says prices down to $14 for chicken breast, you didnt put them down you put them up by a whopping $5. I always bought my chicken breast from Cole's because of the RSPCA stamp of approval of human farms. I am very disappointed you have taken such deceptive measures in advertising. Even on MKR the other night they pulled out breast chicken at $9. I have been a Cole's shopper for decades but this massive price jump along with deceptive advertising is making me think twice on where I shop.
selling products past their use-by date
13 march 2017
Dear person in charge
Re: complaint about selling products past their use-by date: dy primo short cut bacon
I am very shocked and unhappy with the product I bought at the coles north rocks in nsw on the 10th march.
I bought it on the 10th march and kept in the fridge.
I have noticed when I was about to cook it on the 12th. The used by date showed 28/feb/17, 13 march 2017
I am going to take it to the shop today but I would inform you that it is not a first time and I would like you take an action to improve your service and quality of the products. If I do not hear from you within 5 days, I will lodge a formal complaint with consumer affairs in my state.
You can contact me on [removed] or [removed] (Email preferred) , to discuss this matter further.
I have attached a photocopy of my receipt as proof of purchase.
Yours sincerely,
Michiko okada (Ms)

coles springfield
When shopping at Coles Springfield today there was a lady doing markdowns in the garlic bread section I was looking at some stuff there she walking straight in front of me looking for out of date stuff so I walk away and did not buy any cold stuff I thought stuff this just get what's in my trolley and go home and shop some where else from now
On the way out I thought I would buy smokes 3 people were waiting to be served we had to wait for the other lady to service us because she was trying to do to jobs about 5 mins later the lady in charge decide to service us after she stop talking to the person in produce the only person that was nice and friendly was the girl in deli it happens all the time in that store I am over it not shopping at store no more
safety
The attached photos highlight a typical Saturday afternoon shopping experience at Coles Balaclava where aisles are always blocked by large heavy stock trolleys that someone elderly or disabled, like myself, can not move out of the way to pass with a shopping trolley. Even if they could, should they have to!?
In addition to this, whole sections of products are made inaccessible due to being barricaded by large pallets of stock. How are customers expected to purchase these products if they are unable to get to them?
This shopping environment is unsafe. It's an accident & a public liability case just waiting to happen.
I can assure you that Woolworths Balaclava offer a Saturday afternoon shopping experience where you can safely access all the items you require.
bakery
Last Saturday 11/03/17 whilst doing the weekly shopping we visited the bakery section with the intention of buying a loaf of High Fibre Low GI bread and some High Fibre Low GI rolls, much to my disappointment there were absolutely none of these products or a couple of other products i.e Wholemeal bread in particular. When I asked the assistant if they had any of the bread I would like to purchase, I was told that Coles priority was to bake Hot Cross Buns, which by the way seemed to being turned out by the hundred.
The time was 10 am and the shop had been open for 2 hours by then, is it not possible to plan to have a certain amount of all the advertised products available and not just hundreds of Hot Cross Buns ( Easter is still 4 weeks away! )
I would also like to comment on the state of some of the vegetables that the store is trying to sell, in particular Beetroots that resembled rubber balls and Capsicums that were soft and wrinkled and the search for Cauliflower proved fruitless. Whilst I understand there are no Sell By dates on fresh vegetables surely it is possible to educate your staff in what is acceptable to sell and what is not.
The store in question is a relatively new store, and it just seems that the general standard of the store has fallen over the last year, which does not reflect well on the overall Coles brand.
I look forward to reading your comments.
Kind regards
Kevin Amey

flybuy points
I shop at Coles in Byford WA and when you have 2000 flybuy points I normally get asked if I want to use those points to get a $10 discount.
Today I checked how many points I had before shopping and I had more than 2000.
I asked to use those points at the checkout and I was told that I could not use the points or get the discount.
I still get email offers saying if I buy a certain product or spend a certain amount then I can get bonus points.
If the discount offer is to be withdrawn then I think that I should have been informed beforehand.
I complained twice and received two emails stating that someone will contact me and nothing happened. Am I wasting my time?
The store at Bondi Junction never receive the booklet about pizzas although it was falsely advertised as spend $50 or more to get the free booklet valued at $5. The manager, Daniel, at the store promised me 4 books? When will this happen?

injury incident at coles five dock on 7th march 2017
On Tuesday 7th March 2017 at 11.18am my 74 year old mother went into Coles Five Dock when a man bumped into her with his basket, said sorry and walked away. After a few moments my mother realised that she had been injured. Blood was pouring from the wound as a result of the significant knock.
At the register, staff offered her a band aid to which she had to try and put on herself proving to be difficult. Lucky for my mother, other shoppers had witnessed her struggling to put on the band aid and assisted her in doing so.
The injury to my mothers arm is quite severe as by the time she arrived home she was still bleeding significantly, the wound was raised and surrounded by bruising. Upon going to the doctors the next day she was prescribed antibiotics in order to treat the infection.
It would seem ridiculous that there was not an allocated member for first aid available to assist at the time especially considering the age and vulnerability of an elderly woman. In my opinion, this is totally unacceptable treatment of a long time customer.
Please take the above complaint to raise awareness for the need for first aid trained staff members in your supermarkets. I would hate to see other people treated in the same manner in the future.
I can be contacted on [protected]@yahoo.com.au for further information or for resolution of this complaint.
Thanks,
Rina
bullying and harassment
To whom this may concern,
I am a frequent shopper at Coles because my partner works for online.
Almost everyday he comes home with a new goddamn rumour about him, the both of us or myself. A worker by the name of Gemma Mitchell (At the Riverlink Store, Ipswich) consistently targets our relationship ever since she was politely rejected by my partner many months ago. This women is older than myself and should know better than to target her colleagues and shoppers. I am personally at breaking point with this women and ready to make an Official Harrassment complaint if she does not back off within the next fortnight. I am sorry if her feelings were hurt when my partner turned her down but this childish bulling must cease immediately or the correct action will be taken.
Regards from a devosated customer,
T.Bale.
I just want this deleted.
coles ocean shores
I have lived in Ocean Shores and I am sick of the continual under staffing at peak periods .Saturday 11/3/2017 .There is 4 vacant checkout stations, 10 full automated checkouts with an enormous line to use them, one person on the 12 item/cigarette counter and one manned checkout while the center is packed to the brim. This is even worse when holidays occur.
While you and your monopoly return less and less to the local community by not selling local produce and employing less staff.I have had enough and intend on starting a social media campaign, employing mass media unions and politicians to get you to start showing the necessary respect for your duty of care regarding the over work and stress levels of your employees and the public in the area I live .Perhaps it, s time the unions did their job or perhaps a legal firm might start a class action which will hopefully mandate a minimum staffing level at all times regardless of customer levels given your only focus seems to be profits .
You are welcome to disregard what I am telling you until engage the media .Byron Shire residents will rally to the cause of the minimal staff stress which is apparent to customers but not your management.
coles potato salad
Bought a potato salad in a creamy mayonnaise from Coles supermarket in Whitfords Shopping Centre in Perth WA. Salad was dreadful as the potatoes were hard, undercooked and tasteless. The dressing was very watery and tasteless - possibly diluted to make it go further. Product was 800 g pack with bar code [protected]. A real disappointment as this product was to be served to guests as well but was inedible.
online shopping
I'm a online customer of Coles, to once but few times they do not have products to supply my order not a unusual item but something like Oranges, TipTop bread, and they gave me de excuse the shop at a supermarket and they did not have ! Another time the y packed a cabadge full of worms coming out . I think this is a very bad customer service, you are relying on a service because you have too not bacause you want and pay for ( deliver fee) and you do not get what you ask for. Someone have to be accounted for .
