On holidays... I was in Cairns
Today at around 10:30am I walked out of your store dissatisfied.
At Centrals plaza at 10:00am in Cairns I got my period, so I went to Coles that is in the plaza to get pads and tampons. I went to the express lane, there was one lady serving. I was not servied but yet everyone at the cigarettes counter were served even though I was standing and waiting. I was obviously standing and waiting and yes the lady did see me. This would be around 10:20/30am.
I did not want to use self serve, I do mot come to Coles to serve myself.
I wanted to get my tampons and pads so I could go and use them as I just got my period.
I was coming back to do groceries.
To top it off your staff people skills where appalling.
So I walked out empty handed and took my business elsewhere.
I have never been to a more poor service Coles in my life.
This is NOT GOOD enough.
The coles where I live in Nambour is ran 100% better.
I well have no problem sharing my story with family and friends of my experience in Cairns at your store.
I apologise, I did not mention that I stand for a lengthy time and did observe numerous new comers go to the cigarette counter and be served before me.
re: customer service
Hi, Today 25th June 2019 around 13.50 I was at Coles Inglewood Perth. I waited my turn in queue to withdraw cash. The lady in front of me was collecting her container and the CSO said it was likely the last delivery. Then I was served and said I don't know if I have enough points to collect mine. The withdrawal was transacted and then he says he will serve the lady in queue behind me, I replied you haven't helped with the container points yet, there were containers on the counter close to him too. He says it won't take a minute and I replied "I was first". The female customer didn't hesitate to take the oppurtunity to be served and wanted cigarettes as well. The CSO laughed it off saying he was trying to do the right thing, I replied now I have to wait. I got one container that didn't take long. There was no apology given. Why was I not fully served when it was my turn in line? So dismissive and unattentive. I'm letting you know what a horrible experience that was especially in front of other customers and why wasn't I worth the service given to the customer behind me? Yes and I would like a reply. Kind Regards, Linzi
check out
To whom it may concern,
I visited Coles at Broadway shopping centre in Sydney on Sunday 23/06/2019 around 16:15 to 16:30 and was served by this checkout lady and her name is Palpasa.
I was shocked with the service was provided by her. Her attitude was wrong let alone the way she rolled her eyes was just despicable.
She did not even bag the items properly. Instead, Shen just threw them in my shopping bag. And I'm a regular Coles customer, normally the checkout team member would place the receipt in the bag and say "receipt in the bag" with a friendly smile. However, palpasa on the other hand was rolling her eyes at me after sliding the items through the scan machine recklessly, then threw them in the bag, and slammed the receipt on the counter.
I was shocked with the service and I looked at her a few times with my shocking face expression.
It's very disappointing and I won't be visiting Coles at Broadway anymore.
refund for chicken which was out of date and off
Recieved a Chicken which was off, contacted Coles, have been told three time that the refund has been processed, but it had not! have had to phone intersate to put a complaint in, they said they will contact me about the refund, always have had trouble with spoilt products and products use by being on the day they deliver the product!
Probably spent more money on contacting Coles than the product is worth.
Very sad state of affairs when you have to go to these extremes to get a refund via PayPal it takes minutes, Woolworths can do it in minutes.
They told me there was NO contact for head office!
fresh prawns from delicatessen
I bought prawns fresh from the Balaclava store on 22nd June Saturday night. when i came home they smelt so fishy and old. I was unable to use them.
Will never buy fish or seafood from /coles again. They were $34 per kilogram. it is obvious your stores down know how to handled seafood.
My fish attempt buying seafood from Coles and my last.

sausage
You may have already received this as the page crashed as I sent the previous message.
I purchased this pack of sausages from Coles Bridgewater on Friday 21/06 and cooked them this morning.
When I took a bit a piece of bone in the sausage cracked my tooth which required an emergency repair at the dentists this morning.
The dentist has advised that repair is a temporary measure and longer term she recommends root canal treatment and a crown.
My wife also found a piece of bone in her sausage, of significant size. I would suggest a product recall is appropriate.
Could you provide the necessary paperwork for the compensation claim.
Regards,
Carl Parr

container promotion
I have been doing my shopping at coles to gain points for the containers. Last week I was told that there wasn't any left and they would not be getting anymore in. The advertising says they were available until the 1st July. The promotion should not be put on if Coles cannot meet the demand.
Can you please let me know if any other stores have them or if the girl at Coles was wrong and you are sending more to stores?
Thank you for your reply

employee and manager
I am writing to you to complain about an employee and manager in your Coles store in Cowra NSW.
I recently complained about a young lady who was very rude, when I mentioned this to the store manager he laughed it off. I later found out that the young lady and the store manager are married. Isn't this a conflict of interest?
The employee name is [edited] and the [edited].
I hope that you deal with this kind of behaviour, if not I will be taking my business else where and will take my friends and family with me.
don polish sausage - lack of availability
I am disappointed that our local Coles has stopped stocking Don Polish Sausage in our Deli section. It was taken off the "able to purchase" with no explanation to the customers and no indication if it will ever become a stocked item again. I have been told that it was a popular item with other shoppers too. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated
file folder
18 June 2019, Stanhope Gardens Coles
I bought a 3$ displayed ring file folder. At the counter they charged 5$. I asked for an explanation. They went to check and said it was not a red deal. The manager was called in because I requested to honour the price as displayed. File folders were fully placed on top of the " 3$ ring file folder" label. There were no empty spaces. When I requested
the Manager, a file folder that was worth and matched 3$ he could not help or provide me a raincheck. He did not know about it. Instead, he was angry and said it was out of stock and you can make a complaint.
deli meats
I am extremely disappointed with the fact that Coles has failed to provide an Australian produced bacon, there was one product that was 98% Australian and it was only slightly more expensive than the imported products and a tasty product, for some reason it has been discontinued in Coles stores, I would like to know why this is, I would also like to know how a product like bacon can be 25% Australian, considering it is only one product and not a blend of ingredients, I can only guess that it is injected with water and chemicals for fast curing times and added weight. I would like to see more local products in your store in general, especially in the deli and meat sections..
Coles will not allow me to receice my deli food without plastic wrapping. I even offered to supply my own re usable container. If I buy pre packaged food it has twice the plastic.
If Coles is not just crapping on about saving plasic they would find a solution.
I know personally of 9 friends who will no longer buy from Coles.
latina fresh spinach and ricotta tortellini
I bought this product from your St Agnes store in SA on Saturday 15th June 2019 to use on Sunday 16th June 2019.
I had cooked up all the ingredients required for my recipe I was going to use and was just about to add the Tortellini to find mold all the way through the pack!
It was revolting!
I had to replace it as I had people coming for dinner.
When I rang up I was asked to bring it back to St Agnes, that I did.
I was totally blown away when I was not even offered a refund for the item I purchased!
Just an exchange!
Considering the hundreds of dollars I spend at your St Agnes store every week I find this a very unacceptable business practice!
myer gift card not issued correctly
re: Case # C104266520
2 x $50 Myer gift cards purchased at Coles Nowra by cash between the 22/5 - 31/5 by my elderly mother - she can not find the receipt. Card ending in 222384 has been issued with out any funds on it. I have spoken with Customer care on several occasions and this issue has not been resolved. I can be contacted via email donna.[protected]@y7mail.com or on [protected].

coconut
I am deeply dissatisfied with the quality of the coconut which I purchased this afternoon at your coles Airport west store in Melbourne. It was mouldy and obviously has been sitting on your shelves for months. It was so rooten and soft on the inside that only the outershell broke. The fact that my daughter consumed some of the coconut water before we opened...

My Order [protected], was cancelled and all I received was a voicemail after cancellation and i did not even receive a call from the driver when he was in front of my house like other stores do? I even left a delivery instruction to leave the items and was not advised by anyone when my order was confirmed that this is not allowed by coles although other supermarkets do. The driver said he asked a neighbour to sign but my neighbour wasnt even home. I had my back neighbour who informed me she was not asked?
I called the online team straight away after receiving the voicemail (within 10 mins) who called the driver and he refused to come back, he had only left my house under 10 mins ago. The store was not helpful in a redelivery even for the next day. I have an operation tomorrow and was even offering someone to click and collect and the store only gave me a morning slot. I could only have someone pick it up in the afternoon after my operation. Then i was informed my $240 will take up to 5 working days to be returned. I dont understand how this has been so difficult to resolve for me?
I am out of pocket how was i meant to get grocerries when i didnt get my money back. I have three children which i needed grocerries for, this is not acceptable service.
I need to go direct to coles
online shopping
I have shopped with Coles for 41 years and was so happy when they introduced online shopping. I am a Carer of my disabled daughter, so online shopping made it much more convenient for me. Also, with surviving on a Carer's pension, their weekly specials enables me to purchase treats that I otherwise wouldn't be able to afford with living on a very strict budget.
Since I started using their online shopping, I've had the odd instance where groceries were missing from my order when I arrived home, which at times was inconvenient because I live 60 klms from the store. But I do understand human error, none of us are perfect.
This fortnight's shopping was a bit more special, we had arranged a movie night with some special kids, and I purchased extra items accordingly, and thankfully they had great "movie night" food on their 50% off specials list. So along with the staples, the treats and the movie night eats, our shopping was done. We returned home and unpacked the car, and I thought the shopping was a little smaller than the list, but because we were using larger shopping bags, I assumed that was the reason. Unfortunately, it wasn't. We'd only received half of our order! We also received two items that were not on my order, so obviously it was from someone else's order.
I was already a little upset over the rude and short response I received from the generally friendly staff when I rang to let them know I was in the car park to pick up my order. We all have off days, but I did remark to my daughter that if she was the supervisor, her attitude would affect the staff under her, and would make them nervous...
Anyhow, I rang the colesonline number, and told them what had happened. They were very apologetic about my order not being complete, which was a value of over $100.00. The customer service agent told me he would contact the store and get back to me. When he did, he told me the rest of my order was at the store and it would be delivered to my home later that evening... I queried him about the delivery, as we live so far from town, and then he realised he had the wrong address, so he could only offer me a refund. This refund will take up to seven days to be credited to my account... I explained this to the gentleman, I also explained that I am on an extreme budget and a lot of the food that was missing from my order was staple items like milk, butter, etc. and with living in a small rural community, we only have a small convenience store, which sell grocery items at a much higher price than Coles. He again apologised for the inconvenience, and said that and that all he can do is refund the money for the missing items.
I live on an extremely tight budget. I cannot afford to purchase more petrol, as I put the petrol in my car for my fortnightly budget. I don't have the funds to buy the missing staples from the local convenient store. The movie night for the children has been cancelled, because I am unable to afford to replace the items I purchased for this night, which was planned almost 9 weeks ago. And until I receive the refund, my daughter and I go without. When the refund is made, I will need to use some of the funds to go into Coles to buy our groceries, and by then, the 50% savings on bonds items for my daughter, and the treats for the rescheduled movie night, will be over.
I understand some people have a bad day, and mistakes are made. My order was scheduled for pick-up at 8:00 am... so, to my reckoning, there should not have been any problems with the order being collated correctly. I am upset, disappointed, and appalled by the lack of responsible service offered to rural customers when such a comprehensive error that has such a negative affect and compact on someone's life is treated so minimally.
I was in customer service most of my working life before my daughter's debilitating illness required me to retire to take care of her. I was the owner of the businesses, and when mistakes occurred, I bent over backwards to ensure that along with an apology, refund, and further staff training, the person who was letdown, left happy. I am most unhappy, and bitterly disappointed in Coles' effort.
click & collect at yarrabilba store
13th June 2019 I went to Yarrabilba store about mid-day to the collect order. They had the order there but no form for me to sign . After waiting for a while I asked front end controller Sarah for a refund, she then said only the online people could refund & kept try to find the form for signature . She was using delaying tactics claiming
:- it wasn't their fault, they were short of staff & no manager was around. I could see be her eyes she was not interested in helping. when I asked for the assistant manager she then found the store manager who was standing beside her. The manager then rang customer care & advised them to refund the order. I pointed out to both of them that I drive past Woolworths to get to Yarrabilba Coles.
A previous order I tried to collect was refused by online orders as they claimed all pick up times were booked.
If you run your stores like this no wonder Woolworths is beating Coles for price & service.
Anyway I am now cancelling my Coles account & flybuys card.
The loss of my business will not matter much to a large corporation such as Coles but I will be telling everyone know. And please do not contact me or send me anymore email specials . I'm not buying from you again.

They are taking three days to refund
inability to supply free product twice within offer dates
My flybuys enabled me to Collect 1 Free The Spice Tailor Daal 400-500g between Wed 5th June & Tuesday 18th June at a Coles Supermarket.
On Wed 5th June I visited the Coles Supermarket in Oakleigh & both spaces on the shelf were empty of the product. I spoke to the customer service desk who advised they were out of stock & they thought more would be coming in within the next few days.
Today, Wed 12th June I visited the Cheltenham Coles Supermarket at Southland Shopping Centre, they also had no stock avail on the shelves & the gentleman at customer service advised that their store did not have these lines avail & he was embarassed to be constantly telling consumers this.
I am very disappointed that twice within the specified offer dates & at two separate Coles Supermarkets that I have been let down with the inability to supply this offer.
customer service
I was in coles Ascot, Brisbane on Sunday 9th June 2019- an employee in a coles uniform was walking through the store holding her mobile phone, I approached her to ask where I could find an item I wanted to purchase. The employee completely ignored me and kept looking at her mobile phone . I then approached another employee who happened to be the duty manager who was very helpful and explained the employee was still on a break.I put in a verbal complaint to the duty manager and she was very apologetic. No matter who you are employed by, if you are wearing the company uniform ( and walking through the store) you have an obligation to be polite to all customers if they are asking for assistance, all she had to do was acknowledge me and say she was on a break. This young female employee was completely rude and unprofessional, I would never treat any of my customers in such a manner and I would most definitely be reprimanded if I did. I or any of my family members will not be spending any of our hard earned money at Ascot Coles ever again. I will also be telling everyone I know in the area about this very disappointing experience as it is not the first time I have been dissatisfied with customer service st Ascot Coles. Woolworths have opened a lovely new store st Ascot in Brisbane, every time I have shopped there the staff have been lovely, from now on I will spend my money at this store .
coles, stockland prairiewood
Coles Prairiewood, I only want to buy a drink for my sick daughter and I was carrying her in my shoulder. There was not single person at any of the check outs and I was forced to go to selfserving machine. I kindly requested Alicia to assist me to buy the drink, her response inhumane let alone providing me a customer service. She "buy in that machine" I told her I do not know how pay cash in the machine, she repeated the same anwer again by saying "buy in that machine" and the third time I told her I cannot do it because my sick daughter is sleeping on my shoulder which knew any way. She repeated the samething again"buy in that machine" then a customer who realised the rudeness and heartless mennerism of Ms Alicia, volunteered to assist me to buy. Even after all that Alicia didnt seem give a damn about anything happened at all. I really hope Coles pay attention employees like Alicia rudeness. I will call the store manager about this issue as well.
