abandoned trolleys
Once again Dundebar road Wanneroo 6065 Perth WA looks like a mess again with all the Coles Trolly's littering the street.
There are at least 9 of them on both sides of the road by the Council Offices why can't the trolly collection team collect them every couple of days instead of leaving them for sometimes at least a couple of weeks.
Could you please inform the Wanneroo store as it is their responsibility to make sure our suburbs do not look like a tip.
I understand that some of the human race are lazy and Coles cannot do anything about that but they have spent money in the store so the least Coles can do is relieve us non lazy people of the unsightly mess they leave on our streets.

I had another bad experience at Coles Port Melbourne.
today I remember where the receipt was, so on principle
I returned to put right the failure of shelf price not eventuating
at the check out.
Mary handled the situation very well and I got what I orrigionally
believed was a bargan.
while neogtation this transaction, without invitation another customer interviened aggressively, in a treathing manner.
I left your store livid and will never shop there ever again, advising others of the facts.
Any reasonable person would expect the shelf price to be honored,
with out time being waised. returning for what ought to have occured

customer service
I shopped at coles in boronia this afternoon 15/01/2019 at approximately 2pm and went thru a register and the staff member's name was hilary.
No greeeting, no smile, no farewell. Sour faced and she was also rude to another staff member at your store. How do you employ staff like this.
Get rid of her. She is hopeless.
I have gone thru her register in the past and i see she is the same at all times.
Needless to say disappointed but with not enough manned registers available i had no choice but to go thru her, very rude!
I was being served by a lady called Emily freshney and when I walked away she started yelling abuse at my friend. Absolutely disgusting if you ask me, definitely no excuse for this kind of behaviour.
Coles mastercard gift cards
I was given a $100 Coles Mastercard gift card for Christmas 2017, which had fallen out of the card and into the gift bag. I did not realise I had been given the gift card, but when going through my gift bags for Christmas 2018 I found it. I went to use it and found out it had expired. When I phoned I was told there was nothing I could do, which I feel is disgusting. You know you were paid $100 for the card and you know it did not get spent. I do not see why a new card could not be issued or an extention put on the existing one. I know Victoria is soon to bring in legislation stating that all cards have at least 3 years validity, but I would hope that as a customer of Coles, you will reinstate or reissue the card, and not wait for your hand to be forced. I am more than happy to take my custom elsewhere, which will see you lose more than $100. The card number is [protected] exp:09/18, 3 digits on the back are 925 and the pin was 4090. I would like this situation, which quite frankly feels like theft, to be rectified. Thank you Susan Kerr
pricing specials
Ref: CS Fremantle 12/1/2019 'Elizabeth' and 'Tara' - products Beetroot slaw and Coleslaw 200gms advertised as any two for $3.50. Charged at the till as $2 each - total of $4 for two.
Regular shopper.
Firstly excellent young person on till - 'Elizabeth' tried to get some assistance by telephone in dealing with my concern and with a growing line of people by herself - why aren't the self service aisles open from 8am on Saturday mornings? - with delay and inconvenience to other patrons (line was nine in number with two more waiting at the service desk - one till open only in the entire store at about 8.40am) when she was unable to simply provide a $0.50 refund in cash etc.
'Tara' who appeared to be a senior/manager then appeared was asked to ensure that the correct pricing for buying two items for $3.50 was unable to do so to [prevent further 'gouging' in relation to others purchasing either before my discovery or after - that day or beyond - services and self-service tills and all Coles stores ...? Tara organised a free Beetroot Slaw and charged the Coleslaw at $1.75 for a nett refund of $2.25 - appreciated but didn't solve the problem for others less alert.
An publishable explanation in writing please before close of business in WA today 14 January 2019

customer's service
Saturday 12th, i was shopping and went through self serve checkout, I scan items then got issues about put item in bagging area, was unable to scan next item so i ask for help. Female staff who was there that afternoon come fix it and try to tell me, just press here and acted like I annoyed her. Coles products is fresh and good quality but very disappointed in customers service.
eye fillet steak
On Tuesday Jan 8 l purchased a 4 pack of "Australian Beef Eye Fillet Steaks. Cost per kg was $44.
My wife and l were having guests over tonight (Sat 12). Along with other special menu items we expected a "problem free dinner with good wine and much pleasantry".
Sadly, this was not to be. The steak was as tough as any "cheap cut" l could buy for less than half the price paid.
Embarrassed, l apologised to our guests, and it only after much prompting that l said the meat was purchased from Coles at Lansell Plaza, Bendigo, and it was evident that the four of us had the same opinion...it was just uncomfortably tough. Both my wife and l entertain through our business connections, so it was not a pleasant end to what should have been a great, convivial evening.
Thankfully the "before" entree and the "after" cheese and nuts, saved what was an otherwise bad experience. Thank goodness for quality red wine also.
I shop at Coles in preference others, but l must say, as far as meat goes, it may be worth looking at a local butcher, where the quality may be "personalised".
Just very disappointed with this experience

customer service
Today I visited Rutherford Coles with my dad and niece with the vouchers from the recycling bottles machine after waiting at the front desk for 5 minutes, the employee then asked who was next and the lady said these guys (being us) and my dad said I've just got these vouchers.
Instead of the staff member asking politely if we minded she served the other lady which if she had done that it would of be fine, but no she gave us a strange look and said to the other customer ok I'll serve you first in a rude manner. I forgot to grab her name, but I see this staff member working all the time and she never has a smile on her face and is always very blunt.
She definitely needs a customer service refresher because I would never speak or treat any of my customers in the way she treated us.
worker at innisfail coles - julie
Hi I would like to put in a complaint about one of your employees, got her name after she was absolutely so rude to me after going through self-service, her name is JULIE from INNISFAIL COLES. Please do something about her customer service as she needs to be pulled up on it and I personally don't want to come back to this particular coles after the way she treated me today.
Kind regards,
Lisa.
customer service
Yesterday my husband and I returned an unopened Mortein oudoor automatic spray to our local store as we realised we already had one .
We politely asked for a refund and the girl refunded us $15 cash. Today when we popped in for a ew items we noticed that the item returned was actually $30. We confronted the same girl who refunded us the previous day about this and was told that without a receipt she could not refund us the full amount. Totally disgusted with her attitude and disregard. Will not shop there again.
first aid for customer who fell on wet area
At about 6pm this evening a customer (male) walking beside the fruit and veggie isle fell. He was vertical then in an instant he hit the floor. He had no opportunity to put a hand out to break his fall. I witnessed this. The floor was VERY wet. No signs. A staff member approached and stood over him for a moment and asked if he was ok. The man did not response immediately. It was clear to me that First Aid by way of chair at least needed to be provided. I asked the staff to get a store manager. He came back with a broom and told me there was no store manager. I suggested he get the store manager again saying that there was somebody who would be considered a manager. Finally he came back with a person with a clearly labeled badge ‘store manager'. This manager asked if the customer was alright. He had managed to very slowly get to his feet. I believe the customer was in shock and I believe he hit his head. The customers name was taken as was mine. No report was handed to the customer. Problem, no first aid was offered. Was he informed of his rights as an injured customer. Cost cutting the number of staff has contributed to an inefficient Williamstown Coles store.
If this site cannot align a postcode of 3016 with the state of Victoria rather than South Australia- what is the point.
coles trolleys littering the streets
I am constantly using the coles abandoned trolley app to report the numerous amount of abandoned trollies littering the surrounding streets of Wanneroo and they are still there weeks after reporting them, what is the point of having the app if you are not going to act and take them back to the supermarket.
I would like a representative of coles to drive round and see what an eyesore it is, and I'm afraid it's Coles that is the biggest offender so there must be something radically wrong that you cannot solve this problem, you rarely see an Aldi trolly because customers have to pay a coin to get the trolley then get it back once it has been returned simple but effective don't you think! I do not like living in an area where it looks a mess and having to put up with a problem that is Coles responsibility to rectify, come on Coles get your act together and solve this annoying not to mention costly to the consumer (as it's them who will pay in the end) problem.
bad customer service
After waiting for about 10mins or more to be served, behind one person mind you at the 12 items or less isle, watching numerous people go in front of me at the cigarette counter, I finally pay for my items, then go to the next register to buy my cigarettes, and a rude pompous employee who was very arrogant,
refused to sell me my cigarettes after I told him I had been waiting for ages with my kids in the car with my partner, it was a 30 deg day, then he said quite rudely, "you have to pay for those items" I told him I just paid for them mate,
He then proceeded to tell me my rights... dead set. Showed him my receipt and said, you were right there when I just paid for these.
I wanted to you know what, but I kept my cool, took a photo and I've been trying to contact there store manager, which I can't seem to get a hold of, what a great way to start my New Year's Eve !
Name was Ryan, you can't miss the pie eater...
I just want to add, while I’m waiting behind the one guy in the “quick lane” all the employees were chatting away to each other about there weekend while I’m waiting to be served, fair enough talk about what you got up to but not while people are waiting to pay for there items, I’ve had this behaviour from coles before, which sucks because I use to use coles frequently, but will avoid at all cost now, thanks for ruining my New Year’s Eve
rotting produce on shelves every visit at new store
I have been a Coles customer for years and usually shop at Australia Fair, Southport.
The store was completely renovated maybe 8 months ago and at first it was fantastic. Over the past 3 months things have changed with the Fresh Produce dept an absolute disgrace. I spend around $200 per week and always now many of the veges are old and wilted. Green potatoes, yellowed old broccolini and last week squishy brown and rotten button squash for sale. Of course, food goes off but should be removed from sale. Hence, I now purchase my fresh food at Woolworths. Other areas of the store are always messy and there's a feeling that no one seems to care. I asked a young employee about the mess and he agreed saying that they all get in and tidy up when there's an inspection. Perhaps a few unannounced inspections? A shame as Coles is handier for me. I have photos if anyone from Coles is interested.
discrimination
To whom this may concern, my name is Ashleigh Taylor I am a frequent shopper at my local Coles located in Maddington central sopping center Perth. This evening I was doin my usual fortnight shop with my partner & 3 children, we are of Aboriginal descent. As we were doing our shopping I had noticed that the security guard was hoovering around while we shopped, at this point I didn't not question it & continued on. Though as we proceeded to the check out he followed us & stood directly at the end of the check out as we unpacked our trolleys. I allowed him to stand there for a further 5 minutes before I confronted him & asked why he followed us through out our shopping & to the check out! His excuse was he was talking to the check out guy but with in that whole 5 minutes he had not said one word! Just stood there watching us, at this point myself & my partner had become very annoyed with the situation as fellow shoppers were watching this all unfold! We felt very degraded & humiliated by the whole ordeal. We are Honest & Loyal Customers of Coles that do our shopping there frequently to feed our house hold, we spend at least $500 eveytime we shop at our local Coles, so for this to have happened to us is very discouraging to continue to shop with your outlet! May I add that we have used this Coles for 3 years now & they have only just employed this security guard a few weeks ago! Discrimination should not be tolerated in any shape or form but sadly this was the case tonight that myself, partner & Children to be harassed & Embarrassed the way we were is very disgusting to know that racism is still very much alive in this country. I am still contemplating wether to take this further as this is not the type of treatment I want my children to believe is normal just because they are black, our ancestors fought for so long for our people to have equal rights but yet here we are in 2019 still being treated differently.. to further discuss this matter please contact me on [protected]@gmail.com or phone [protected]
Kind regards Ashleigh Taylor
goonellabah coles
Hello. I am never one to complain but this has upset my wife and ultimately me. My wife shopped at coles and after spending $170 she tapped her visa card. forgetting it doesnt tap for that amount the staff worker asked to see her licence as she believes the card could be stolen (based on what?) My wife very reluctantly gave her licence to prove she not a theif. why couldn't she be asked to put the pin number in instead? Now the main reason im furious is she was so embarrassed by the situation she came home upset. the 2nd reason is that i have told her never to hand her licence over to anyone but the police, this reason is that all my details have been suppressed for matters surrounding my employment and threats. im even taken off the electoral role. so now i have a complete stranger knowing where we live. I dont need to go on with what the consequences of that could be and im sure the staff member was just doing what she's told to do.
Could u advise me if this is actual policy to demand ID and not 1st put the pin number in for attempts again. people make mistakes but she wasn't even allowed to try once after tapping. And then have the hide to say her signatures dont look the same ? We use a pin not a signature these days.
I don't need any fuss over this and I have far more things to worry about but i needed to bring it to attention as it upset and humiliated my wife considerably amd she is pretty relaxed person. She is Vietnamese and shopped goonellabah coles around 230pm on NYE.
If that should happen again or if i was there, there would have been a massive trolley full of items to pack away. I would seriously have walked out.
This complaint is merely bringing it to your attention and for no further action but if this is genuinely the right thing to do from staff then we won't be back to coles again.
thanks for your time.

hot cross buns on sale on the 27th december, 2018
It was disgusting to go shopping at Coles on the 27th of December, and find Hot Cross Buns already on sale.hot cross buns are an Easter tradition product, obviously you need someone to let you know cos you don't seem to have any idea. But if you did know, you should be more ashamed of yourselves. Please do the right thing and review the situation, otherwise in year to come we won't know the difference between Christmas or Easter tradition.
overpaid for item via the self service machines
On 15/11/2018 I paid $35 for product 'Vital Strength "1 720gm'. I recall seeing on the shelf for $20 on special, and that's why I chose it as do not pay over $20 for Protein Powder as I can get it for that at 'Chemist Warehouse'. Approximately 10days or so later I approached the Customer Service Counter at the Port Adelaide, SA store to query the price. I quickly looked at the price again on the shelf and it was still $20. The woman in charge of the day shift that day heard my query that I believe the self service scanner had overcharged me. She went and made a call. Then returned to me and stated that as Coles was on a new catalogue week it was not possible to ascertain the previous week's catalogue prices/specials. I stated "is there no one in this store that can look back to the day I purchased this item for the price" and the shift team leader stated "No it was not possible". Personally I find this unacceptable. Now I am down $15 with no recourse. I may be wrong but I am confident that I am right. I retained the receipt and photocopied it as well. Because I am not satisfied with the limited reason for not looking back to the previous week's catalogue prices/specials.
Hi
You can find old Coles catalogues online. Here is the link for the one you need I think. https://www.catalogueau.com/coles/coles-catalogue-14-nov-2018/
There is also Coles Our Promise on Price Scanning policy. You should actually got your product for free if you can prove it was scanned at incorrect price. Here you can see the details. https://www.coles.com.au/customer-service/helping-you-shop
You also can call Coles Customer Care to get your issue solved rather than going back to the store.
I hope you can get your money back
Regards
Olga

Please tell me why I have to buy a pack of six rolls when I only need two. There was a trolley behind the counter with crusty tops and I asked for two and the assistant told me I had to buy six. I am retired and can't eat six rolls before they become stale. They could have broken some single rolls off and put them in the glass case so I could buy them separately. Not happy.
