Copart Misadvertisement

I have purchased a Toyota Landcruiser for £7150 which was advertised as 'Run & Drive' and also showed has V5 on file. It was listed a Category D vehicle with Primary Damage being minor dents/ scratches and secondary damage listed as 'normal wear'.

This has been Grossly misadvertised.

Firstly the car had been stripped with all carpet completely removed from passenger side oncluding boot. It also had many panels missing. This should have been listed as 'stripped' being the primary or secondary Damage.

Secondly - the ad stated the HPI check shows category D however the HPI also indicates it has an Import marker which again was also not advised in the details.

Thirdly - The vehicle is listed as 'Run and Drive' this is possible as the car came and 'was shown in pics' as a Tyre completely torn. This car needed 2 tow trucks in order to move the vehicle as due to the tyre the car would not move, therefore it was not possible for the car to be driven while in copart care. The car was show running but the drive aspect demonstrates it has been moved in gear which was not the case.

Fourthly - it was advertised as 2 keys and a V5 present however when delivered there was no V5 attached. This was then confirmed by delivery driver in his notes.

Overall this car has been completely misrepresented and has impacted me financially as I have paid on the basis of what was advertised.

Copart in response tonthe complaint advise they only 'briefly walk' around the vehicle detailing what can be seen. However a vehicle having no carpet and panels stripped is very clear and has purposely been left out. Along with details of import on HPI check

Please see attached pics for proof.

I am very disappointed, this was my first purchase and I wish to continue to use Copart for my business.

I hope we can get this resolved asap.

Desired outcome: Waiver of Fees paid and compensation of cost of carpet replacement.

Copart missing items from my car that had been written off

i went to the Doncaster site in the Sandtoft industrial estate to collect my items from my vehicle (LD12LJJ) upon gaining access to the car i noticed that my DAB radio was not present. This was on the dashboard. Also missing was a USB handsfree unit and cables which were in the arm rest console.

i find this to be very distressing as not only is my car being written off due to an accident of no ault of mine, but personal items belonging to me have been stolen.

the date of the site visit was the 24th March 2022 at approx 10.20am

Desired outcome: i would like to be recompensed for the theft of the items

Copart Leinholder OM Arlissa Lee

I’m want to file a complaint against the AGM Arlissa Lee which who works under Melissa and my complaint is for wrongful termination, she claims it was due to Attendance but alit of my days where medical and I had documentation but I was fired due to a comment that I made to an Om and was told to Arlissa which two minutes later I was fired for ,, she is not a good AGM she was giving the position cause she was close with the AGM at the time And since she has been the AGM the turnover rate has been higher the employees hate her she don’t know how to communicate with her employees also my old boss was fired because of her and he told me that I was her goal target but she needed a reason to fire me so she needs to be disciplined for her wrong doings but she has all the upper management in her pockets seems like cause no one is calling her out for her parts of the company turnover rate

Desired outcome: For her to be demoted at least if not fired

Copart Queuing in

I'm a shop owner and purchase alot of cars every year, I get some from Eldridge location. I picked up one today, I went through their ridiculous process of Queuing in, it said a 7 minute wait to get in the office to make payment and get titles. I waited about 45 minutes, watched others come and go as I sat there, this happens most of the time I go there. Today I told them in the office that they need to streamline this and make it a little faster and she told me that their location was the fastest one around which is total BS. When I go to Madison I'm usually through the office and loaded in 20 minutes tops. Her response was that I better get use to it because it isn't going to get any better and that sometimes life just sucks. Wow very professional! Between the extra damage they have caused with the loaders, and the bad descriptions I'm beginning to wonder if its worth it. Put in 3 motors in the last year on runs and drive vehicles and that's after fixing the damage from the accidents they were in, IAAI is looking better all the time!

Copart A nissan 370z 2011 gray lot# 31917672

I bought a car from the COPART San Jose sublot and when I went to pick it up I saw an employee had the same car who offered me to buy parts from him and I saw the trunk of the car has nothing and everything including the spare tire and the sound woofer is taken out, then the employee give me a social media account “socal_z_parts” to buy parts from and when I went home and checked they are selling the exact everything that’s stolen by him from the lot I won. I have added the picture of the missing parts and the picture of it being sold. The employee offered me to buy tail lights from him right there which was missing from my car and I’m sure no one carries tail lights with themselves for sale. He owns the same car and same color. The employee who I’m talking about drives the forklift in the lot.

Date: 01/27/2022 in the afternoon.

Desired outcome: I would like that employee and other employees like him to be held accountable and be stoped from steeling things from cars so we can buy cars with confident and I want compensation or refund for the value of the stolen items from my car

I have made 15 calls, email so far all the staff and manager do not want to talk to me and they ignore me, they lie to me that they sent a check to me ( still do not resived)
after 3 weeks they told me
supposedly the new buyer is not
satisfied with the car purchase, after the car left the copart parking, copart term condition it is clearly written that the buyer buys at his own risk, no warranty and no refund option
I don't understand what the problem is
they want to cancel the sale after 3 weeks
please help me to solving this problem

Copart Car purchase

I won a car in the online auction on 10/09/2021. I paid for the car along with the delivery on the same day. Copart informed me that they will endeavour to deliver within a week. It has been over 4 weeks and the car is still not delivered. I have called on a number of occasions (17/09/2021, 24/09/2021, 07/10/2021 and 12/10/2021) and was promised each time that an update will be provided on the delivery date but nothing. The service provided by Copart in this instance has been abysmal. I have been without a car all this time. Even if Copart does now deliver the car, it will be another 3 to 4 weeks before the car will be ready for my usage. This is not acceptable and I was not expecting this lack of service from a large auction house. I have informed Copart verbally and via email that I wish to cancel my purchase and would like to be re-funded. However, I have been informed that is not possible and they are still waiting to hear from their contractor as to when they will deliver the car.

Copart Cheaters scammers. Dodgy company

Today 08/10/21 it was the WORST customer experience ever received from RICHARD in NEWBURY, To make this short the car was wrongly advertised and once received the car I let Copart know the car has an issue and they just washed their hands they didn't admit that the car has gearbox issues. Clearly they didn't add the comments and they didn't took pictures of the problem - obviously they don't make money So good job Richard and good job Copart Newbury you have lost a customer and of course I will make this issue known by anyone I know. Its a shame the way I've been treated and the way this finished I tried to clear your name and I was always helping Copart but I had the sour taste of a dodgy company managed by dodgy/cheaters guys!

Copart Title

Hi. My name is Waleed Mahood, I have bought this car from Copart Oklahoma online I attached the receipt and I send towing to pick up and bring it to Minneapolis, MN and they send the vehicle and the title to me to The title missed signed, I went to Copart The on in north Minneapolis, Ham Lake they took it and they said we will send it to them to signing after 2 weeks I went to them and they said we don't know about this title! They lost and I call the Copart in Oklahoma they said we didn't received and I told them so what now they said we not able to make new title or contact the seller ?
So what can I do now ?

Copart Inside Mafia

Lot number [protected]. So it's super simple my dealer was about to play this car today. The auction was starting at 7.00am and the car was 167 on the list and the pre bit was 6000$ and all of the sudden at like 7.27am the car was marked as sold without even going for a further bitting how it's supposed, imposible what I've witnessed! So I'm guessing it's some sort of inside Mafia going on!

Copart Membership fraud with me

I opened an account with yourselves and due to someone else who has lived at this address my account is put under suspension. I want a full refund I have opened a complaint with external financial partners and will escalate if I have to, extremely unhappy with all your colleagues I have spoken to Today. I was cut off and then called back with my frustrations to only be told by a pathetic manager that my frustration was unacceptable. Sorry but conning me £103.60 isn't going to make me call you in my usual high spirits. Not getting a good customer service on top you guys cutting me off is unacceptable. I want a full refund otherwise I will escalate.

Copart They listed a 2005 Pontiac VIBE as automatic when they know its manual

I bought a car from Copart Lansing, MI, listed as automatic, they took the picture in such a way that you won't be able to see the gear.
My Buyers number is 713122. And the lot number is [protected]
Now I made a complaint to them and instead of making the correction since the mistake was theirs, they are asking me to pay for it, and then resist it with them. Are you for real?
The mistake was theirs and they still want me to pay for it.
The alternative is that I will pay a fine of $600 and let the car go.
Please is there anyone who can help me please.
This is pure fraud and they are getting away with it.

How is it my fault when I was buying a car listed as automatic only to find out that it is manual, and even if I pay and they want to resist it, they will resist it as manual, hence no one will want to pay what I paid for a manual.

Copart Won Bid with Incorrect Price

I bid on a car with a maximum bid of $23, 500. I then won the bid but at a price of $34, 750. After calling them they said the system says I placed the bid and I have to pay 10% if I want to relist it. Im stuck and dont know what to do.

Copart Misrepresented fault and catagory

Bought a Q7 from Copart Wolverhampton. Car stated primary damage to be scratches and dent and secondary damage to the front end.
When car arrived it turned out to be flood damaged.
Now copart refuse to cooperate, although they should ask the seller to purchase vehicle back as per their policy but they are not helpful at all.

Copart Windshield Damage on 2019 Mustang GT

I purchased a 2019 Mustang GT from Copart via auction through a broker and paid hundreds in fees. When the tow truck driver picked up the vehicle he took a video of the vehicle and delivered it to a garage for assessment. When I got the video later that day we found the vehicle had damage to the windshield that was not present at the time of the auction. I immediately reported the issue to John Hardin the manager of Copart in Orlando Florida. He basically refused to pay the $555 dollar repair bill and only offered to take the car back. This is not an option since I already paid $3000 in fees to get the car.

Desired outcome: I want the windshield repaired for $555 - No damage on the auction picture.

Copart Communication/Power of Attorney

Kimberly from Kemper Insurance contacted Copart to fedex my power of attorney paperwork. I never received, again Kimberly contacted Copart verified the address, I was in the call. Next day FedEx dispatched contacted me stated they have undeliverable address, gave them the correct address finally received the paperwork. I didn't realize I had to get it notarized or MVD, contacted Kimberly advise I had taken Friday off, but my son still needed to leave for work by 930am she knew about my health condition. Kim called me and we called Copart to see what the process was. Agent stated to arrive shouldn't take more than 15min. Print and sign your name agent with notarize it scan it Asking all the questions that we know to ask for time management. I get there, stood there finally someone told me I had to scan a QR code but my camera wasn't working. I was advise to set up appt through app I was frustrated I didn't have my glasses. Set up the appointment at 806am App stated 3 min wait time 15min later stated 5 min than 13min than 6min I was 854am when I get the tex. I went in spoke to male expressing my frustration the inconvenience the fact we called the night before! His response was your mad because you had to wait. Everybody waits, my concerns flew over his head, said not the wait time but communication about the process, ask for a Sup her name was Ruby, when she came around the corner her walk was aggressive and face looked very pissed eyebrows nose was squinted. The guy said to Sup she has a complaint and her wait time. I told the sup that was his perception and to address you like that is not professional she states I heard and my perception was your upset about waiting, she started complaining about me then any apology. She didn't know I've been waiting for a fedex package for 2 weeks that I had a 3% chance to live last year still recovering I called with my insurance rep several times and the night before. All she can do is blame me. This is unacceptable for treated the customer the way she did being in her position especially in front of entry level employees. What character does that teach her agents, and representation of Copart. She needs to have sup training diversity training and culture training. I left your building ended up having a panic attack, it's horrible to feel your being suffocated. This could have been prevented if your Sup approach was different. The sup left without saying good bye. The employee explained to me they had technical difficulties in the morning and sincerely apologized especially for the beginning of our conversation. He seen my tears flow out and how defeated I looked. He acted more manager material the Ruby. Attached is the fedex that was sent to the wrong address

This motorcycle was advertised on YOUR web site as cat N, i believe this is not the case it should be a cat b as the head stock is twisted which by YOUR rules and regulations i am not allowed to purchase by law. This is misrepresentation and illegal.

They sold me a car stated active title no repairs and when I drove it home and registered it showed rebuilt status and been repaired and they lied to me so they refused to return it back and give me at least reimbursement, very unfair and not acceptable I would like my money back with the full amount including the extra fees and tax they charged me for!!...
