Courts Singapore - Bad experiences in online purchase
early august 2024, my daughter purchase Apple Watch Series 9 on Courts online platform. after completing the online purchase, she waited for the item to deliver within 2 weeks. but after 3rd weeks, courts online customer agent called her informing her that there is no stocks available and need to wait for another 4 weeks for supplier. unfortunately, after...

I am giving two stars due to my recent experience with customer service at Courts Tampines. When I first called the hotline, the representative was very patient and attentive. He listened to my request to get a shorter delivery window, as I believed all schedules were pre-set for the day. However, after waiting for over an hour, the delivery person did not...

Please think twice before purchasing from Courts with their extended warranty. Below, I'm sharing my unpleasant experience with them.
On 25 Feb 2023, I purchased a recliner along with a 1-year warranty plus a 4-year extended warranty.
On 3 Mar 2023, the recliner was delivered.
On 21 Mar 2023, I reported that the recliner failed to fully resolve the issue with the leg raised function.
On 20 Dec 2023, I reported the same issue reoccurring.
On 30 Jan 2024, another repair was attempted, with the promise from their repair team that this would be the last repair and a replacement would be offered if the same issue recurred.
Within a matter of weeks, on 8 April 2024, I contacted Courts again and reported the same issue. They insisted on repairing the unit when the parts were available.
Despite the extended warranty, the recurring issues and refusal to replace the faulty recliner have been very disappointing. I have escalated this to mediation with CASE, and they are currently following up on the matter.
Please consider this experience when making your decision on purchasing from Courts.
Recommendation: Do not buy their extended warranty

Cons
- Limited International Brands - Courts SG may lack some global high-end electronics and furniture brands, which can be a deal-breaker for certain customers looking for exclusive products.
- Price Competitiveness - With numerous competitors in the electronics and furniture retail market, Courts might not always offer the best deals, potentially losing cost-sensitive customers to platforms like Lazada or Shopee.
- After-Sales Service Concerns - Some customers have reported issues with Courts' after-sales service, which could affect customer loyalty and repeat business.
- Physical Store Footprint - As e-commerce grows, Courts' extensive network of physical stores could become a financial strain, with high operational costs compared to online-only competitors.

Bad after-sales service
I don't have an issue with the products Courts carries (since they are just a reseller) nor their price. What irks me is their after-sales. Couple of months back, I bought a LG 10kg washing machine, and a LG 9kg heat pump dryer. Total more than $3k. On installation, the delivery does not keep to the timing. After installation, stacking the dryer on top...

On 11/12/2023 at 1035am, call was received by a female malay staff at about 1036/1037am. Woman was so rude and did not even ask about what happened. Mind you I did not even bug her. A few phrases she had used would be enough:
- What you want me to do?
- Cannot means cannot then what you want?
- You want to waste your time you go la.
- The person there lied to you la then what you want me to do?
I did not talk to her rudely. Prior to her I had already emailed courts and called the bank. Was told to call the merchant and since I could not get hold of the megastore straight, I called the hotline and that was what I got.
Claimed loss: Nil

Hi
I bought this product on 21st October , found it faulty and exchanged it on 28th October 2023. The second one also now has the same problem. It makes a lot of rattling noise as if there is something wrong with the motor. The store customer service agreed that it was a problem with the first one. We therefore checked the second in the store. It was just fine when we checked it and also was okay for a few days, after which this one also started making the same noise as the first. I called the store and they refused to do anything about it and told me to contact Electrolux customer service. I am very disappointed as I feel all the machines are faulty and they sold it to me by giving a high discount. I want to return this product and get my money back.
Hi
I bought the vaccum cleaner on 21st Oct , exchanged it for another on 28th Oct and reported a complaint with the second one on 10th November. I would like to bring to your notice that 10th November is less than 14 days after 28th October, when I exchanged my product. Your policy maybe that you will exchange it only once, but that in my view is a wrong one, because my cleaner does not work. I would therefore treat this complaint as unresolved.
Aircon Servicing
The service is not good at all, it was not properly done, dust everywhere. They didn't vacuum it back unless we asked for it to be done, and even said the dust was there from just now, even told us that our aircon was so dirty in the most disrespectful manner I have ever heard. I have never felt this insulted in my own house before. There was dust on our beds, and normally, in the reviews— they would put plastic material over the beds, but in our case, they did not put any such things. Of course, we know it's free. But, they just seem reluctant to do their job in general. *Poor service.*

I want to complain about my wooden coffee table that I bought from Courts, and their customer care service. Read full review of Courts SingaporeWhy are you installing a non working air-con and not coming back to replace it?
From day one Courts installed a non-working air-con in my house and said they will report to the office and schedule a date to replace a new ones. Week after week and with several calls from me for a schedule, Courts still did not come back to me for a schedule to replace the non-working air-con. This type of after sales service is totally unacceptable. The weather is so hot in Singapore and that is the reason we need an air-con, but you did not get us an air-con that is working for us.
I strongly recommend people not to buy from Courts!

Misleading marketing promotion & poor customer service - google pixel 7
I purchased a Google Pixel 7 on the 22 July 2023 as there was the SAVE22 promotion, meaning a 22% DISCOUNT on online purchases with free express delivery, on Court’s online store. (See attached photos)
Received an email the very next day that there was a discount error on their website, the discount should have been capped at $120. And not $229. They did an immediate refund.
Called up customer service as I was very upset because nowhere on their website nor marketing materials did they state that there will be a cap of only a $120, there isn’t any mention of this on their website banner nor ANYWHERE at all. Aside from not honouring their word due to an error and misleading advertisement.
CR just remarked that there was nothing they could do, to order again, “Sorry for the inconvenience caused.”
No other resolution was being offered at all.
Followed up by sending a lengthy email to their online customer email on Monday (24/7) and followed up with a second email on Tuesday (25/7), till date NO RESPONSE NONE WHATSOEVER.
Courts Singapore, this did not cost me just a “mere inconvenience”. This COST ME to miss out on a similar deal running on Amazon.sg for this phone at the same time. This is savings of $200 onwards.
The cost of the phone on Amazon.sg was similar to what Courts was offering but Courts was having a better deal after checking out. “Lowest price guaranteed” is their tagline. (Or so I thought) - I have a screenshot of the deal on Amazon.sg as I was asking around friends for their advice between purchasing from either of these two of Google’s qualifying retailers in Singapore.
Decided to give Courts a chance as a friend mentioned that her mum had purchase something from Courts that had issues and they responded quickly, in addition to this company being based locally, there should be some form of credibility.
Terrible terrible first experience of purchasing from this online store.
Desired outcome: I would appreciate if the company HONOURED their word or at the very least provide some vouchers or respond to the email that I sent.

Aircon Installation is suck.
The aircon installation is suck.
It took the almost the whole day from 12pm to 12am to install a system 2 aircon. And the electrician they provided is suck, arrive almost 7pm and drilling the wall without inform me and cause the complaint from my neighbour. And the electrician did the wiring trucking in such a way that it does not appear to be a straight line, it's crooked. I wish Courts to get back the electrician to fix the crooked wiring trunk.
Cashier service
13th July 12.50pm afternoon at eastpoint mall branch lv4.
A full time chinese staff. There was only 1 chinese staff there. I asked for cashier payment. He told me to wait and i saw him go to the toilet. I waited until 1.20pm. A total of more than 30mins, i was on my lunch break. So i ended up not buying at all. He got suck into the toilet bowl probably.
I asked a second staff who is an old indian man who doesnt know how to do cashier, he went to find him and disappeared too. He went to the next door food court and disappeared. Probably to eat lunch.
Both staff went MIA. Look at the cctv camera. No legit staff to man your store. I didn't buy anything thanks to them. Also, this is not funny. They wasted a total of 30mins of my lunchtime, i was working.
I have photograph evidence with timestamp but i cant upload because the file is too big.

Complaint above very poor customer service and rude staff
Good Afternoon Courts, being a loyal customer, always bought most of my stuff from your various branches.. was at your MegaStore outlet at Tampines on 13th July 2023 approximately 4.15pm with the intention of purchasing a few stuff for my new home.. including a couple of your portable AC unit for my office. Was browsing some various models when i wanted to enquire more and approach one of your female Chinese Staff at Level 1. Just enquired with her on her recommendation and wish to purchase a Unit that doesnt require my staff to place ice and cold water in the Unit. She suddenly flare up and lost her temper and shouted to raise her voice telling me off that i didnt understand what i was looking for and the difference between the AC units.. well thats precisely the reason for the enquiry and clarity i needed but instead got a rude awakening.. regretably i just got turned off and walked away without purchasing it and move on to the other depts.. i just told her that with a little more respect to customers, your dept could easily got that sales from me of which i had intention to but 8 Units.. haiz.. too bad.. i do hope you can relook on how you train your staff on proper customer service as genuinely some customers have no knowledge on the current items in the market and with a good explaination and due respect.. you could reached out to more customers and retain your Regular ones.. its just a bit sad especially when i saw your MegaStore had very few customers and more staff to count but yet such things can happen. It left a deep impression on me and maybe i should have made my purchases elsewhere. You should do your best to retain your clients especially when e-commerce is on the rise..almost everything you can get online at a cheaper cost.. so eventually what your customers are looking for is the face to face service experience.. Thanks Courts but i do sincerely hope you look into this matter.. could have been a totally different outcome..
Desired outcome: Looking forward to see better customer service and experience from staff..
