my room
We have been here for 2 days and starting on day one, we notice that our hotel room phone was not operable. Secondly, when we went to try and take a shower we notice there was no hot water. I went down and notify the attendant at the front desk who said, give it a little time because the hotel was full and everyone was using the hot water, so we waited until 3:00 in the morning and again no hot water. I waited again at 6:00 in the morning, again no hot water for the shower. I immediately notified the front desk who told me they will send out maintenance in the morning. Well no maintenance guy ever showed up, nor did we get housekeeping. we finally managed to stop a maintenance man who was walking on the grounds. He notified the front desk and came back and told us that the water line is being worked on and we would not have any hot water for awhile, and someone should have told us when we checked in. No one did. Since being here we have had to endure the smell of cigarrette smoke when we ask for a non smoking room. Also nearby rooms that are clearly are smoking marijuana. Also, upon check-in our top covers was dirty and smelly. For this to be a non smoking room there is cigarette Burn on the toilet seat and again we complained several times each day and nothing was done. we were told we could not be moved and we would have to wait until we were ready to check out and ask the manager for a discount or a refund. It is the weekend and to get another room at the last minute was not doable. We were told that we could not cancel. we have gone 2 days without a bath and considering the room is very smelly and we did not get room service this is unacceptable for any hotel or motel to treat the guess in this manner. Out of courtesy under the hotel brand, before they started to reserve other rooms for new guess, we should have been given 1st consideration and this particular room 4280 be place out of commission until all repairs were done.

hotel cleanliness
My husband and I stayed at this property for 17 nights in late Feb and early March. On five of those days, we received no maid service and no letter apologizing for this. When they do clean, the floor in the room was always filthy. My feet were black 5 mins after a shower. I wiped floor with towels and towels were black. Hallways of hotel filthy. No one cares. Owner arrogant and very rude on last day. Manager (acting manager: Dawn) very nice and promised refund but gave none and failed to get back to me. Laundry room dirty. Breakfast poor quality. Erica and Robin at desk tried hard and were very nice. Brandy (maid) nice but was not our maid. She was good when she did our room once.
This hotel does NOT meet the basic standard of a Days Inn.

An employee by the name of Patel at the Days Inn in ladson, college park, South Carolina was unbelievably rude to me. I had called previously to book a room and did so, but got a call back saying I needed to be there in person due to an issue with my card. I did so, and was "greeted" by Patel, who had left me standing there for 15 minutes and then proceeded to tell me in a very rude manner that my card won't work. I then left to figure out what was going on with my card. There wasn't a problem so I booked the room online successfully and it took $127.53 out of my account. I went inside to let him know, where he ignored me again. When I addressed him he cut me off saying I could not get a room and then helped the customer behind me not allowing for a response. I told him I still had some questions, but he looked at me, ignored me, and proceeded to help another customer.
theft of personal property
We spent 2 days here. When we returned to our room. My sister said her suitcase had been moved. She had her manicure and nail polishes, tweezers etc. Stolen. I never thought nothing of it. Till next day when I was in Yuma. My Sterling silver necklace was gone, 3 sets of earrings and my prescription medication was stolen. This has screwed me, because they where a narcotics. Worth alot of money on the streets. If they sold them it could put people in jeopardy. Even kill them on overdose. I can not get any more from my doctor, because they are a controlled prescription. So I have to live in pain for 7 days. Which this could also lead me to a hospital stay. I am discussed at this. These person should be charged if caught and fired. Will never stay here again as staff are not trust worthy.

The employers Kevin and Sandy Patel is cursing the employees out and been very disrespectful toward they employees that is very nun appreciated for them to do wen they have someone working for them in a company that is very known world wide and that is not very appropriate in a place of business and then u is getting ate up by bed bugs every other week and then u have roaches and spiders in the rooms and then u have the front desk people leave and customers have to wait until they return before they can get a room and then the guest b cursed out and b told not to cum back to the moteland then u got a laundry person that cums in around 1030 are 1100 and wen they supposed to be there around 830 are 900 and wen the guest ask for towels they cantget any because they don't have any to get because the laundry person is always on the phone instead of doing her job on the weekends and she just got hired theses are the things that they don't want the company to no about and they don't have no type of respect for they guest are employees that is bad for a company that is very well known word wide and they have a very unique santize pool that is not fit to swim in and the guest be wanting to swim and they can't because they don't have a pool to swim in and they have they dryers catching a fire and it b days before they can get worked on and the employees have to start the laundry because the laundry lady is not there on time wen she is do to work and u have employees checking rooms instead of a head person wen that supposed to b her job to do
room/whole place
We are staying in the days inn in Newport News VA, the people in the room next to us are smoking weed and the whole area and our room included stink. The wall unit is busted and squeaks, there are burn holes and cut marks all through the bedding. I would like a refund. I paid for 2 days and cannot even comfortably be here. It's disgusting.. the room isn't even clean. I feel itchy even being in this room and the fact that people are stinking the whole place up with drugs is awful. The carpets are disgusting, doesn't look like they've been cleaned in a week. Whole place is disgusting.
overcharging on the deposit
Me and my family checked into the Days Inn and Suites Golden/Denver West on march 3rd. When we got there they told us they had a $50 deposit that would be returned when we checked out. They lady at the front desk charged me $97. When I went in and told her about it she didnt even say she was sorry. The manager told me that the money would be put back on my card. We got to our room and the floor had tape and dirt ect. My husband decides whe would only stay the one night we asked about getting our money back and they said no. So we ended up checking out at 6 on the 4th. The same lady I delt with before told me I wouldn't get a refund cause we checkes out late. I said ok. We left and they finally put my $97 back in my account. Now on monday the 5th. They hit me for 2 different amounts equalling to the $97 I was charged on day one. I had to file fraud charges with my bank and cancel my card. All because of their imcompatance!
I will never stay there again!
The weird part for me is the last 2 days I've been booking a stay at Days Inn (Currently homeless). In 2019, I have to pay for a $200 security deposit and funny enough if you smoke in the room you pay $200.
Based on my apparel & appearance people do think I smoke weed or cigs, but I myself don't. I understand the need to protect yourself, but what I've notice in the 2 days I've been their.
1st day = Someone was outside smoking in front of me as I parked my bike in a non-light area (very dark) and checking the room took 10secs (I realize it was a sniff test)
2nd day = My 314 (opposite side of the building) room window (Its March and temperatures are below 10 degrees) was left open so lucky I inspect the room before laying down. When I was leaving that morning while checking out, front desk ask me why am I still standing at the their while a loud vacuum was going on in the background...I ask for my 200 deposit back
I understand if your not making money, but don't turn honest business into a scam.
condition of room and attitude of staff
My son and I stayed at Silverthorne Days in 3/2 thru 3/4 2018. We were in room 313. There were no other rooms available within 50 miles. The elevator was extremely dirty.
Numerous things in the room were not only disgusting, but dangerous. The window opened fully, allowing a child to be able to fall three floors down. The mold was scary looking and possibly dangerous. See photo around toilet base. The bathroom exhaust fan hadn't been cleaned in years. the shower was putrid. The mattresses were very old and stained and held you like a taco. My neck still hurts. The one that almost made me vomit was the hair around the coffee machine fill grate. The sheets had hair and crumbs on them. The fitted sheet did not fit. No mattress pad. Glove left under bed by previous guest. The floor was not vacuumed when we arrived. Our neighbors on the 3rd floor found many beers behind the curtain when they arrived.
The girl at the front desk with the multi colored hair and bolt in her face was rude and refused to help us. The non English speaking housekeeper could not get us a Do Not Disturb sign.
It's hard to believe this is a Days Inn.

My name is Tatianna Thomas, I checked into the Days Inn at 9100 Aurora Avenue North Seattle, WA on March 1, 2018. For the amount that I ended up paying for the quality of the hotel doesn't add up. I was extremely disappointed to find out that I was right on the main road and this made my stay unbearable. I stayed from 3/1/2018 -3/5/2018. Can you imagine four nights of no sleep!?!?! Not to mention our neighbors above us were constantly banging around. There was nothing I could do and no where else I could go as everything was already booked. My friend and I were miserable. The only bright spot was Ashley a manager that assisted me during the day Thurs-Sat.
However nice she was it did not make up for the outrageous and shocking encounter I experienced next. Friday night the tv in my room wasn't working. The screen continuously pixelated or was freezing, and some channels kept flashing from picture to a note saying "signal out." At around 10:00pm 3/2/2018 I called the front desk and the night manner apologized for the inconvenience and said he would look into it and call the service provider. Not sure what he did but the tv improved. The following evening 3/3/2018 I was having tv issues again. My friend that was staying suggested I called again because that is an amenity that paying for and felt it ridiculous that the tv didn't work adequately.
I proceeded to call the front desk. A a different man from the previous night answered and I said my name, that I was in 212, and that my tv wasn't working, as I went to describe the issue he cut me off and said that I had to call the front desk. I thought I was calling the front desk, which I was saying and then the phone hung up. I called back, said I was in 212 and was having problem with the tv, he said I had to call the front desk after 7, it was very difficult to understand him as he didn't speak English well. I tried to stay calm but after calling and getting the phone hung up 4 times in a row I proceed to get angry. After this point he (name: Maung, the night manager) was unprofessional answering the phone saying "what you want?" Then when I went to speak hung up. What if that had been another attendant calling?
I was so upset and disrespected. I got dressed and went to the lobby area. I knocked on the door and he unlocked and answered the door. I asked if he was the one that kept hanging up on me and he just kept saying I don't give a [censor]. I asked what his problem was, he said [censor] you. Every time I went to speak he just yelled at me waving his index finger at me saying " I don't give a [censor] get out of here". I was able to get his name fist name, Maung and that is it. Rather than escalate the situation further I went back to my room and told my friend that he yelled and cursed at me, she was SHOCKED!
The next day I spoke to Ann and told her the whole incident, at which point she was apologetic, agreed that regardless of the situation customers should not be yelled or cursed at, unfortunately there was nothing she could to contact corporate and/or the general manager.
I am in sales and the customer service business and if I EVER spoke to a customer the way he did to me O would be fired immediately. NO WAY is it alright to be treated like that. I want a full refund. I refuse to pay for that poor quality establishment and mistreatment from staff.

It was the worst experience I've ever had. Made reservations 4 days prior to my stay for 2 rooms. The first room was still under construction and not doable, along with being unsafe around the entrance to the room. Get another room that was ok. Check my second room and the key pad is broke, which we didn't find out about till my other half of group staying showed up at which time they give us another room that had people staying in it. Was told no other rooms were available. Looked else were and nothing available. I went back down to talk to them about this and finally after two more tryst with different rooms get them one to stay in . A total of 4 hours then checked out due to the condition of the hotel and rooms, along with the quality of service.

Saturday 03/03/2018. At approxitmately 10:47 A. M. I entered the registration office of Days Inn located at 710 S. Cherokee ln. Lodi, CA. 95240 to check-out and return room key. It was then I was informed by the office attendant (who refused to give me her name and was not wearing any sort of company ID) that my security deposit of $100.00 would not be returned. When asked why I was told that the smell of smoke had been detected by an employee and two women had claimed to have seen me smoking. When asked to identify the two women I was ordered (not asked) to immediately leave the property of Days Inn & Suites which I did.

I booked my room online a couple weeks in advance for the days inn in hot springs Arkansas. When looking online it looked beautiful! Exactly the same all the Days Inns we have stayed in before.
When my husband and I pulled up we honestly thought we were at the wrong location. We proceeded to go inside and check into our room. The Manager and the Assistant Manager were both working the front desk. After a long wait I was finally provided my keys. When we got into the room the smell was HORRIBLE... We didn't complain we just went and bought items to freshen the room with and try to settle in. Laid across the bed and had springs coming out of the mattress... Most uncomfortable feeling ever. I went down to the office and told the lady our issues and asked if we could just get a refund so we could go get another room somewhere else. She told me that I wasn't able to get a refund for tonight or for tomorrow night because it was after 6PM but I could cancel the third night if I told her first thing tomorrow morning. I went back to the room and attempted to take a shower... Turned the water on and water started spraying out EVERYWHERE. The entire bathroom was covered in water... Including my phone! We went back down to the office and told the lady about the new issue and she told us she'd put us in another room but it would not be smoking nor would it be on the first floor like we needed (my husband has trouble walking, especially up stairs) but she told me that was all she could do for us. We took the room and went into it... The new room had 2 beds... Not one like we needed, the toilet doesn't flush unless you do it 5 or 6 times and there was only one towel in the entire bathroom. I've never been so disappointed in my life.
poor services, dirty carpet, smell, poor quality, poor customer relations
and brush away all gentle feed back like do'nt care. Should have an elevator to go to second floor. Should have extended hours for hot water at least. Breakfast is scanty (never seen like it, just the oat meal, that too as a clump) and may be not safe as cream cheese was dried in the little containers (open three, two were dry). Makes nervous about their items.
3 wasp nest outside my room door
Returned back to my room after getting lunch with my wife and kids. As we approached the room we see about 10 wasp circling our room door. We decided to ask the hotel manager to switch our room because I'm allergic to bee stings, and not sure if my kids are, he replied he can't. To make a long story short we had to spend the rest of our day trapped inside our room.

We arrived at 4am looking for a room, was told 250 t fees and taxes..asked if we stated 2 nite since it w as 4am could we get 1st nite cheaper, was told 110.then we had to change room then it would be 250 plus the 110..got into non smoking room obviously not..heater barley worked no hot water, stain on sheet, complaints were met with sorry..ate you staying 2nd nite it will be 250 t fees .told them no, went to motel down rd 50.00 heater great room clean and very hot shower ..I am very upset to has to pay 110 fir a few hrs..not there issue but rude and unclean smoked up room no heat and very luke warm to put it mild shower...then heater had about 1 inch of dust and freazing.loud and floor dirty also...but the rude response, sorry they didn't care about the room their service the over priced room for a few hrs..and then the 250 for one nite the next nite...I don't really expect anything from this complaint, but my family work hard fir our money and we expect to be treated with basic respect and if something is wrong it says they will gladly fix the problem, sign in room. .we got sorry..I'm definitelymaking sure anyone I know or asks will not be staying there ever.
cleanliness
when we checked into the room their was a towel located on the floor that had not been picked up by the individuals who have to clean the room. The toilet did not flush! The curtains were not covering the window and were hanging down. Also there was no towel rack on the wall. And some other item located in front of the television which I don't know what it was! Now when we checked in into the other room that was given to us the issue that we had with that one was that the fan did not put out any heat after we got up in the morning to take a shower in did not produce any warm air flow at all! Completely unacceptable. And I would not recommend this stay for anyone strictly because the individual that we had to deal with at the front desk couldn't give us a reason for why this would be taking place. Someone needs to be held accountable for this! Do not go! I would hope to have someone get a hold of me quickly regarding this
the hotel and the restaurant
The hotel is not properly run by management. The boss of the estsblishment is never around when needed. There is so many things that are broken down or not running right. But he refuses to fix them. I never see that many rooms with vacancy. The customers never get daily service. Or when checking in the room is never cleaned properly.in all the times that I have been there I have never seen them even vaccum the hallways. The restuarant side is so slow its not kreping up a good name. Its not clean in there at all. I know that there is no janitoral cleaning being done. That is not good for anyons health. They have broken down coolers where they are keeping food products. Or they reuse the same product over and over. Which is a huge health hazzard. I have also heard that place was used for drug deals. Which is not a good thing at all. I would like you to consider finding a new person to run your establisment as he is giving the days inn in sylvan lake a very bad name. I have always loved staying at a days inn but after staying in sylvan lake I refuse to book again. Thank you

We stayed at a Days Inn that was run down and had transients hanging out. There were rooms that had the number s removed and it looked like families were living there like apartments. The door was locked and I had to knock a couple times before the clerk (4 feetaway) finally acknowledged that I was there. He was rude.
The room was not vacuumed, and had dirt all over the floor. There was blood on the bathroom door frame and one packet of coffee for two of us. We opted to not shower because of the condition of the shower. Cost over $80.00 and I will never stay there again. Id rather sleep in my car

I arrived on Sunday night allowed housekeeping in the room everyday until Wednesday morning I let them know I didn't need them that day because the housekeeper took care of us the day before an left a few items behind to keep up it was the first and only time I refused house keeping and I received a phone call from the front desk by the assistant manager informing me that I could not refuse housekeeping at all and that they where coming back over it wasn't an issue until later on my boyfriend walked into the lobby and inquired information about the housekeeping problem the manager states he had no right to ask any questions.. then my boyfriend asked to borrow a knife they keep behind the desk to open a can of food (which had been no issue in the past and was allowed) and the manager lost it started getting very rude and made the situation worse because he came around the counter with the knife asking what room he stayed in. I have 2 small children a 5 yr old and a 3 month old, my boyfriend feared for his life and the life of his children and mine at that point. The situation got way out of hand for absolutely no reason and we spend over 600 on this room what can we do to change this behavior with in your staff, anyone can clear check the cameras and see what happened we have done nothing wrong and in the result we are being targeted for some reason
