appointment for technician
I had an appointment for a technician to come to my house today (November 11, 2017). The appointment time was between 12 non and 5 pm (what happened to the 75 minute appointment times that Dish is so proudly advertising).
Beginning today at 10:15am I received the first text message telling me that the tech would arrive between 1:30pm and 2:45pm.
At 12:58pm I received another text message that the tech would arrive between 2pm and 3:15pm.
At 1:54pm I received a text message saying the tech would arrive between 3:15pm and 4:30pm.
At 3:28pm I received a phone call from a female at Dish that said my technician would be arriving after 6pm. I looked on the website and saw that he was supposed to arrive between 5:30pm and 6:15p
At 5:45pm I checked the website and it says arrival time is between 5:45pm and 7pm. I guess they are too embarrassed to text anymore. No texts since 1:54pm.
At 5:55pm, a female from Dish called my wife's phone. Don't ask me how they got her number or why they did not call me on my phone as they had earlier today? This female left a message on my wife's phone saying the technician would not be out today and to call back for another appointment.
If this is not the most horrible customer service you have ever heard of I would like to know what is? I waited at home for six hours for your technician to show and then he did not even show.

I am happy with my service so far in the problem I have is with how inappropriate technician who came to my home was with me and my oldest daughter. I felt as though I was being picked up at a club. This guy was wait too forceful for someone who's supposed to be trusted to come into a home almost makes me question what would have happened if I or my daughter was there alone. I think they better screen their employees and subcontracted employees a little better. My husband is highly upset with this but I'm too ashamed to have them do anything.

I want a copy of my contraCt emailed to me today. I have talked to Dish two times today as well as 6 months ago, asking for info and get different answer each time. I want to know what I have been Charged for Monthly as there seems to be a discrepancy in how many TV;s and receivers I have signed up and have been Charged accordingly. And I was told my Contract would be up in Dec now they say May.Please state how many TVs and receivers you show I have going in my I house and exactly the date my contract is up.

Yesterday I received a letter from DISH stating that for various reasons I did not qualify for the lowest rate. If I wanted a credit report I was to contact Equifax. I HAVE a report from Equifax. My score is 819 and my credit is unblemished.
I was in banking for over 38 years, never missed a payment, nor had a late charge. This is humiliating and I now regret switching to DISH. Direct called last week and offered a fixed rate of $65 per month for two years, wireless connections, and no lease fees. This rate would pay the early termination fee, and save me almost another $300 over two years. My wife asked why I did not accept their offer. I responded that I do not treat people or businesses that way. A contract is a contract. However, I have called Direct and they are mailing and emailing the offer to come back. I spent years helping customers with their credit difficulties, and to receive a letter implying I was not worthy of the lowest rate is unforgivable.
unprofessional and cheated on dish tv annual package offer
I have been happy Dist TV customer for over 10 years. But this time before recharging my account I spoke to Paras in customer care on 31/8/17 to know the amount to be charged for annual package. He gave me two options (a). Recharge with Rs.4536 for New All Sports package or (b) Rs.3569 net of discount to avail 20 % discount offer. In case of Rs.4536 switch off date will be extended beyond 12 months. I opted for net of discount offer and recharged with 3569. But I got a message that only 10 % discount is given.
I spoke back to customer 8 times during the day but could not get proper response and they repeatedly told me that you should have deposited Rs.4536. Although I told them that I recharged amount based on the information received from dish tv customer care executive only but they they did not pay any attention to.
I got fade up and made another call, Ravi of the customer care attended the call and I asked him to connect me to senior. He then connected me to supervisor Manish. He also told that I should have paid 4536 to get the offer and asked me to pay Rs.907 to avail the offer. Since I got fade up for so many calls I decided and paid Rs1000 to close the issue. But to my surprise, no change and no discount offer was given to me.
On 1st November, 2017 again I called dishtv customer care and spoke to another supervisor Aparijita. She said you wont be given annual package offer. You should have either paid 3629 or 4536 in lump sum to get the offer.
I am really disappointed with different versions of statement by different executive on the same matter. I need explanation.
This is ruining image of Dish TV. In case this is not heard I appeal other customers to be aware of this kind of customer support.

Hi Team,
Really not happy with what happened with me, that was the bad day to call Dish, below is chronology of bad luck
1.) Received flyer in mail on 2nd week of October 2017
2.) Called Dish on given number [protected] dated Oct 16th 2017 however the flyer was not as promised, the sales person gave to price for bundle was around 16x where flyer says 49.99 + 14.95 (same is showing on Dish Site), I said no I don't need this bundle, sales person forced me to approve to run my SSN, 2 things here when I am your existing customer and saying no to services as that was not promised.
3.) Next day 10/17/2017 I received an update from my Credit reporter that a HARD HIT was made my DISH, I was shocked and called the number again and explained what happened last evening and now I am got update on hard hit, they transferred my call to Office of the President, Office of President said we will look into this and remove the enquiry from my Credit report and they will get back to me in 24 hrs after listening the cal records.
4.) Next day I received call back from Office of the President and they said talk to Fraud Team and transferred me to them where my question was unanswered and no updates on call recording, Fraud team told me to contact Dish Credit team by sending mail I am in process of doing that however wanted to know why and who ran my credit and from where Fraud came into picture if this is fraud please let me know I can fine a complain in FTC, BBB and local Law agencies.
5.) After 2 days I called again and talked to the Office however no clear reply and no one ready to help me with removing Hard Hit from Dish.
Being DISH is big name & brand we gave our SSN to your company however your sales team run credit when we say no to the service
a.) Why you want to run Credit for existing customers
b.) You can run credit for new service when payment issues in past may be 10 to 20 % however in my case all 100% payments in last 2.5 years
c.) If you have our SSN you can run credit whenever we call for change in service?
d.) What if we don't monitor our credit/report, do you do this with other customers?
e.) Seems SSN is not safe with Dish.
f.) Your Office of President sent me to Dish Fraud Team, please let me know if this is fraud done by your team so I can contact FTC, BBB & Local law for my rights.
We have 2 accounts my & my brother's account that we may close soon, ablest I will close soon and never recommend anyone to use Dish, I will be in touch until my credit report is not clear

not honoring promotion
I ordered Dish in September with their promotion of free HBO for a year and free ECHODOT now they are saying I can't have either. I am unsure how to process with their false advertising . I have contacted Dish at least 5 times of which 3 said the echodot would be sent in 30 days. It has been over 30 days. In the fine print of my order it says you need a Hopper or internet enabled Wally to receive an echodot. I have an internet enable Wally

We called Dish Network to find a price quote on what it would be to have a TV and internet package so we could compare it to other companies we were looking at. The next thing we know they are assuming we are wanting their business so they cancel our account with our current internet provider (Century Link) forcing us to pay the cancellation fee. It's also very frustrating because they would offer the same exact internet with Century Link but for double the price we are currently paying. Nobody called us to confirm that we wanted to cancel our internet as we never told them to do that in the first place. They also sent us the equipment through mail and called us FOUR TIMES to try and set up an appointment to get it set up after we told them we wouldn't be using their services each and every time they called.
DO NOT call Dish for a price quote! They did a credit check to see what we qualify for and used our information and assumed we wanted their business. We NEVER told them to go ahead and set up an account. Worst customer service I have ever had and will never use Dish Network for any service.
ruined my credit in 2016
I had dish network for 12 hours. As soon as I saw the dish put on the roof and messign up all the nice view. I told the employee to remove it. He said he was too tired and would come back the next day. I got on the phone the next day making sure I was not going to be charged for anything. They told me to return the equipment and I did. Then 3 months later, I was billed 108.00 dollars. I called they said it was because I had dish for 1 month, then they said it was because I did not return the equipment. When I proved
to them I did. They said that I had to pay for the workman to come back to remove the dish. I was assured many times that I did not have to pay. Until I moved out and bought a house I learned that I had a collection agency after me and my credit was bad. I have talked to attorneys who refer me to small claims. I am refinancing now and just learned that another collection agency is putting a flag on my credit because of Dish. I talked to them again almost 24 months after the incident and It is just unbelievable. I pay all my credit cards on automatic payments . My credit was outstanding for years until Dish decided to charge me a fee that I was completely against. They had 3 diverse reasons and I have the email to prove it. I was told I could pay an attorney 3000 to 5000 to resolve my credit problem. I probably talked to dish and diverse collections agencies 15 times. I am so tired, but my credit is ruined. What can I do?
I just read an article about this at https://www.lemberglaw.com/credit-lawyer/. I think you might want to try to fix your credit ratings. There are so many unfair debt collectors and companies nowadays. They all need to be seized. We also need to be very careful of them.
technician service at residence
I called dish and spoke with a manager about the issues I was having with my current equipment. The manager said that I need to setup a time for a technician to come look at the problem. I asked the manager if we could setup a time for Saturday October 14th 2017. He said yes. I asked what times were available he said 10 to noon & 2 to 4. I asked to setup the appointment from 10 to 2. He confirmed and sent me an email stating this. I clicked on that email this morning @ 9:30 to confirm where the tech was. It showed me that my appointment was from 2:45 to 4. I have not had any communication with the technician regarding this change. The only way I found out was thru this email. Very frustrating as I do have errands to run on my day off. I understand if other appointments run long. But they have my phone number just call and let me know. Instead of changing the time and not notifying me. What the hell is the point of setting up an appointment when your technicians can't communicate with the customer if it changes? The customer is the reason why dish employees have a job. This is one of the reasons why more people are unplugging. My wife and I most likely will be doing the same once our contract is up. I'm tired of the rates being increased all of the time and loosing channels in the process but expected to keep paying your prices.

I recently called you people about an issue I was having with my DVR nobody on your end in the escalated Tech Team could explain the question of why is it I could sit here and watch a program that was previously recorded from a channel that I am not currently subscribed to compared to I am unable to watch a previous recording from a channel that I am currently subscribed to when I put it in layman terms do you really need to have the original copy of the movie in order that make the copy work when you watch it the answer is no but nobody in your department is able to do that I'm done paying full price for my services I want to a refund as well as you guys sent a tech out here he was very nice and informative to my son but I did not damage the box nor the satellite and thank God I was not charged the tech fee but still since the tech was here I cannot access 95% of my DVR as I stated above as well as it's saying that the HBO channels that you guys are currently giving me on the free 3-month preview some of those movies that I can access it saying the channel is not subscribed and I need to press okay there for there something wrong I want a refund of my $72 that I paid tonight with the card ending in 769 and I want the rest of this month service to be free you guys have put me through hell and back I have a 6 year old that watches TV and now I have to erase my entire DVR and wait for those recordings to come back and hope like hell they come back on channels that I am currently subscribed to because nobody can answer my question above in the beginning of my statement

I'm so angry at Dish Satellite. I been with them for the last 10-15 years and paid my bill on a regular basis. This month they increased my rates one more time for? local channels that are supposed to be free. Somehow I handed up with an overdue bill of $ 12 dollars. Got the bill Saturday, September 30, 2017 they cut my service this morning, Monday October 2, 2017. I'm definitely going to have one less bill from now on💃

Dish owes us money for an account we closed back in March 2017. We have called multiple times, spoken to many different levels of customer service to obtain that money. We been promised the money would be sent to us. These dates have come and passed without any check or refund in our account. We have now been promised another date, 19 more days to wait. Apparently that is the time it takes to generate a refund check, according to John, G3K, supervisor in the customer service dept. It is amazing to me the a company is quick to take your money, heavy handed in any grace for one late payment, and so very slow and cumbersome in it's processing of any money owed to you, the customer. We now have free tv, an antenna we purchased for $20 at Walmart. We get all the channels we need, for free. Maybe as we all leave cable tv and find better and less expensive ways to be informed and entertained, they will start to respect us, the ones who allow them to have a company and a job. If not, then they will join the ranks of companies who couldn't adapt to change, respect their base, and offer exceptional customer service. It's a tall order, I know, but so many companies do that I have no sympathy for Dish, who refuses.

I was a long time Dish customer and switch to bundle with my internet provider. Sad part, I hated to switch because I liked the service and quality. I called to get service installed again to find out they can not offer service to me since a relative has an outstanding balance with them. As I stressed to the representative, it is discriminating and unfair I am being penalized for someone who does not live with me nor did I sign for that person to obtain service. I was advised I was not being penalized and I spoke up to say if you are not allowing me to obtain service then how am I not being penalized. Bottom line is this is the most unfair and ridiculous treatment a business can do to anyone. I work hard for what I have and to be told I can't get something because of someone else who did them wrong infuriates me. Instead of not approving me for service because of that person, why don't they file a suit against that individual for the outstanding balance. I can only say, I WAS a good customer, never late, always bought extra stuff with them. Now, they won't get my money!

Our mother has ALZHEIMER'S disease and dementia. She pays 90 $ a month with a broken tv for something she hasn't used for months. Dish network will not turn off her service (that she doesn't use) because she CANNOT remember her password. Well. DUH! She's lucky to remember us and now all they want is money for a service not being provided. Taking advantage of elderly people!
wires hanging off my porch
I have pictures and calling my lawyer your company Dish wont come out till Monday and i have a 2 year old who cant play outside because of wires your tech left all over my back yard yesterday. Ive never seen such a poor job. But my concern is my grandkids getting electricuted by these wires hanging Right over where they hold on to go down the steps! Also i have a puppy. I signed up for cable in 2015 and I kept my service for the entire 2 year contract. In 2017 a customer service agent called me to update a payment because it did not go through due to credit card fraud issues with my bank. During the phone call we discussed my contract ending and if I was going to renew. I declined the offer to renew service because I was going to be moving due to having to renovate after my house got flooded. The customer service agent processed my late payment and told me that she would sent a box so that I could return the equipment since I would not be renewing my contract with Dish. Since that phone call in June I have not received the return boxes and received a bill stating I owed $342.88. I called to clear this issue up and the customer service agent told me that Dish renewed my contract in June and the bill was for July and August. When I told the customer service agent that I did not renew my contract and I did not pay to continue service in July and August she stated that I had to pay a cancellation fee because Dish renewed my contract without my consent. I would like to end my service like I originally talked about in June and I do not feel like I should have to pay for services I specifically declined. I will send back the equipment as soon as I get the box I've been waiting on for a few months now.

I have gotten the proper treatment since day one. Never got Netflix free, treated horrible by Representatives, they don't have respect. They sent someone out here and they problem never got fixed. They have no customer service skills, and don't care that I spend hard earned money on service. You don't treat customers like that. I have talked to people that have cancelled dish at no cost. We are Florida residents escaping Irma traveling to NC and wanted TV service to keep up with the news as most of our family are stranded in Florida. We drove to Louisville TN to Camping World, a 5 hour round trip, to purchase the touted Dish receiver. Upon reaching Murphy NC we established an account and tried for hours to get the unit to work. No positioning, including where we previously had a Direct TV antenna that worked flawlessly. This unit does NOT perform as stated and we wasted time and money to purchase this product. We were on the phone with Dish and tried all of their remidies. NOTHING worked. During the process we were told that there had to be one wire connecting the antenna to the box. Since this supposed to be a portable unit for R Vs, I guess the buyer must cut a hole in the RV siding and not use the privided coupling. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. It does NOT PERFORM AS ADVERTISED.
